It was only two miles to get here from the #trailhead and there are others upstream, but the trail was closed at this point when I was there. The trail also connects to the #SuperiorCrest trail, which pretty much follows #LakeSuperior along the shoreline through all of Minnesota.

One of the destinations on our #FallColorTour in #Minnesota was #TettegoucheStatePark, which doubles as a #RestStop. It sits along the shore of #LakeSuperior and has many miles of #trails for #hiking, #Skiing, #snowmobiling and includes the highest #waterfalls within the Minnesota border.

I did hike out to the falls, which I'll be sharing later. This is a shot of the #BaptismRiver where it meets Lake Superior. You can get right down in there, which I did the first time we visited.

Here she is checking out the #view over #SilverBay in #Minnesota on the backside of the #LakeSuperior bluffs. This is a #freecampsite AH found that has 360* views with these viewing areas all around the peak. They each have educational plaques giving you some history of the area. I'll include one or two with this post for you to read.

While this spot is little more than a parking area, it's a much better experience than staying overnight in a #RestArea. Minnesota is one of the few states that doesn't allow overnight parking in their rest stops, so this was quite convenient for us. We've used this spot a few times now.

What a comeback by the Minnesota Vikings yesterday in NFL. The Vikings were down 33-0 at halftime to the Colts and cameback to win the game in overtime. It's the largest comeback in NFL history. Congrats Vikings.

The 1st stop on our 10 day #FallColorTour through #Minnesota was #RamseyFalls in #JacksonFalls, MN. Why the different names for the #Waterfall and the city they are in? I have no idea.

The Park the falls are in is pretty large with 10 miles of paved trails, multiple creek crossings and beautiful scenery in every direction. The water levels were quite low throughout #MN, so this was the best flowing falls of the three we stopped to see.
