We were able to walk around around Hug Point at Arch Cape near Cannon Beach yesterday during a minus tide. Its not too common, but its fun. There is a nice waterfall you can climb around. Kona dog and I are looking down at my lovely misses from the top of the waterfall. Found a couple things while beach combing as well. A small limpet Shell and a couple Sand Dollars

This waterfall is located outside the Peruvian city of Cajamarca and resembles the shape of a woman wearing a bridal dress: it's called La Cascada de la Novia

Bridalveil Fall is one of the most prominent waterfalls in the Yosemite Valley in California.[1] The waterfall is 188 metres (617 ft) in height and flows year round.

Upper Mesa Falls is a waterfall on the Henrys Fork in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. Upstream from Lower Mesa Falls, it is roughly 16 miles (26 km) away from Ashton, Idaho.[2] Mesa Falls Tuff, which is the rock over which Upper Mesa Falls cascades, was formed 1.3 million years ago. A cycle of rhyolitic volcanism from the Henrys Fork caldera deposited a thick layer of rock and ash across the area.[4] This layer compressed and hardened over time. Between 200,000 and 600,000 years ago, the river eroded a wide canyon which was subsequently partly filled with basalt lava flows. The Henrys Fork of the Snake River then carved the channel through the basalt; which is the inner canyon seen today.

Shoshone Falls is located on the Snake River as it carves its way through a deep basalt Canyon on its way to the Columbia River.

As I promised yesterday, here's #HighFalls on the #BaptismRiver in #Minnesota. I have all kinds of shots to share with you all for this #waterfall and even some video, which I'll convert into gifs. It was only two miles to get here from the #trailhead and there are others upstream, but the trail was closed at this point when I was there. One of the destinations on our #FallColorTour in #Minnesota was #TettegoucheStatePark, which doubles as a #RestStop. It sits along the shore of #LakeSuperior and has many miles of #trails for #hiking, #Skiing, #snowmobiling and includes the highest #waterfalls within the Minnesota border. The main #trail off of the #EastPortal #trailhead is the #SouthBoulderCreekTrail. After hiking the #ForestLakesTrail, I came back the following year for a hike to #HeartLake. As I mentioned before, this trailhead is like a choose your own adventure. There are five different destinations that either branch off into their own trail or are along this trail. Heart Lake is along this trail. The #waterfall here was within eye distance of the main trail where it branches off to #CraterLakes. Of course Nietzsche and I took a little breather here, before we continued on our way. Just before I made it to the first of four or five #ForestLakes, I came across this beautiful #waterfall. The trail pretty much follows this stream from the #SouthBoulderCreek to the Forest Lakes. Just about all trails in the #mountains follow streams, because they take the path of least resistance. The water flows year around most years and is 100% fed by the #glaciers that persist all year at these altitudes. The #creeks and #lakes are all loaded with #trout and it's a wonder how they all get there. While I don't live in the #mountains yet, that's where my heart is. I spend a lot of time visiting them and will always come back.
