  • Mt. Binacayan
Here is Mount Binacayan. I first came here in 2018 with my brother and his wife. This is now my second time. I climbed this mountain last 15 April this year with our Pastor and the youth in the church.
Mount Binacayan is 424 meters tall above sea level and is suitable for beginning mountaineers. The mountain is located in the municipality of Rodriguez province of Rizal where more than seven mountains can be found. It is also home to the famous and lovely Wawa Dam which attracts the attention of many outdoor enthusiasts.
Reaching the top of Mount Binacayan, you will have an enjoyable sight of the beauty of the Wawa River and the Sierra Madre mountain range.

This is me when I reached the top of the mountain. You can see the sun is in the palm of my hand.
Reaching the peak, I could not describe how I feel.
The two-hour trail isn’t easy, but it’s worth it. It’s rocky and the stones are sharp.
    The Side of the Mountain
That's the wear on the side of the rocks. My husband said it’s like a "Lord of the Rings passage."
    Thanks for your time!

Life is a mystery. You can't fathom everything about an individual. Some starts very well and end up in chaos in the course of life's journey.
Some had a tough starting but ended up well. Whereas some neither started well nor ended well. Hmmmm what a mystery.
Thanks to the management of stars community to bring forth my heartfelt felicitation for my dear friend that clocks forty years today. I realised that whatever you do to others, same shall be unto you. I would to share some great moments I had with my friend since our path crossed.
I don't so much like talking about people anyhow but for this God's creature, I have been persuaded in my spirit to share. I won't want to flatter anyone but these are realities I have seen, touched and lived with. There are friends that smiles at an individual but deep within their heart is pool of evil intention and destruction. Notwithstanding, there are special specie out there though rare but yet possesses an angelic virtue that can't be overturned easily.
This chap is loving and caring. Very passionate about purpose and life's goal. The first time I saw him, greatness was radiant on him hmmm his dimple which normally comes out once he smiles is just amazing. His love for human capital development drove me massively to him. I never knew he was such a bunch of simplicity. Immediately he saw me, there was witness in his spirit for us to move together.
Time is the accurate revealer of everything. After a while, God orchestrated some things to knit us more closely. Hence I started relating with him freely, came to his house stayed and in fact turned to be my second home.
He pastor's a church with few members but never discouraged because he knew who called him.
I can't forget to share one of the outstanding thing I learnt from him. He taught me how to make local cake from soya beans. He patiently outline the processes for me and I did though the hot water splashed on my hands but immediately some local first aid was done. Wow so I can be order industrious? What a power of friendship.
Not just that, you also have a skill in drawings etc .
Today, I joined the host of heaven to celebrate your new phase of life. They said life begins at forty therefore today is a starting point for your life. There are more grounds to be conquered therefore never you settle for less because greater things awaits you.
May this birthday brings freshness, and all round blessings upon your life and family.
    You're celebrated and honoured sir.

  • Greetings bosses and welcome to my post.

It's actually beautiful to see two different strangers who come together to share one idea, belief, and thought. Two people coming together to build each other is not easy, and it's filled with ups and downs.

Marriage is a beautiful stress on its own, and the way both couples handle this beautiful stress is the determinant of the product they will bring forth in the nearest future.

I am not the best person to talk about marriage because I have not yet gotten married, but for the sake of the article, I will share my thoughts about knowledge from a single guys perspective.

    *Let's dig in shall we?*

I thoughts about marriage is that - marriage is a beautiful tool that can be used to give birth to life and death. The determinant of the positive or negative product of marriage is dependent on both spouses, in the fact that both needs to play their role appropriately without any problems. The wife should be a "wife" and not try to overshadow the husband, and the husband should also be a husband, but also, assist the woman in some petty ways.

Marriage is can give birth to death in the sense that if the spouse are no tamed together very well, it could lead to death of either spouse as a result of domestic violence and it can also breed the children with or without good health, but in an unfavorable environment (due to the parents irresponsible attitudes) and as such, the child will have a bad first agent of socialization, leading to a very bad future for that child..

*Checking the audience..... Hope you love what you're reading?*

    *Let's continue*

Marriage could bring about life if the spouses are properly tamed before going into marriage. A responsible home filled with love, care and minimal responsible quarrels between parents, and descipline, will bring about "life." The home will be happy and the children? They will grow up to be Bright and have a good future because they have a good first agent of socialization.

I think that marriage is the foundation of the betterment of the society or community, a good marriage will bring forth a bright society but a bad one? Well, it'll bring the opposite.

*Hope you are enjoying the write up? You should give me a follow if you find it interesting*

As said earlier, I am not yet married but from the married people around me here in Nigeria, Marriage is a No No. I don't know if they are forced to get married to be honest. The children here learn most of their things from their peer groups and they put it out to he society. That's why you see smokers, rapist, people who do drugs and other unlawful and irresponsible act. But, when I see people from outside the country, mostly Canada, California (mainly Europe) I always feel like marrying but not from my country. I know I cannot marry from outside my country as an Igbo Nigerian person, and as such, I will just have to perfect the person I want to end up with, teach her my ways and learn to accommodate some of her ways too.

Marriage is really worth the troubles.. YES it does. Irrespective of the ups and downs, it's really worth it because the next generation is on the hands of the current generation and if the current generation set the right pace, the next will lead a good life in respect to what they learnt from their good parents.

I am not married yet and please correct me anywhere you think I said something that is not correct.

Thank you boss for stopping by my post, I really appreciate you..

I hope to see you next time boss.

In my previous essay, The Way to Financial Freedom Part 3, I indicated that understanding what is going on in the financial and technological worlds can help you better grasp our current predicament and how to escape it. The first article to discuss finance is the one you're reading right now.
The Importance of Understanding Cash Flow
Cash flow is the key phrase in the financial world. Blockchain is currently the most significant development in technology. If you have the prior preparation I described as a hypothetical situation in my first post on this series along with the willingness to take the risk, then understanding these two and how they work together to offer an alternative to our existing system can show you the path out of financial jail.
Let us start with cash flow.
The person who enlightened me about the importance of cash flow is the least that you will expect for he is not a theological educator. Instead, he is a Japanese American businessman who co-authored a book with the then-president of the United States, Donald Trump sometime in 2009. His name is Robert Kiyosaki. What I admire about this man is that though he is known as a financial educator, he acknowledges his limitation when it comes to technology.
For Robert Kiyosaki, cash flow is the most important word in business. For us to understand cash flow, we need to make three necessary distinctions.
First, the cash flow of an individual is different from the cash flow of a corporation.
For any aspirant investor in a specific company or a trader in a specific stock, studying the cash flow statement of the company is very important. This is part of due diligence in the world of investment and stock trading for by doing this, you will determine the financial soundness of a company.
Any aspiring investor or trader must study three important financial statements of the company he is planning to invest in or trade with. These are the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement. In the Cash Flow Statement, you will see the amount of cash generated by the company in operation, cash earned or spent on financing, and cash used in investing. Such corporate idea of cash flow is defined as:

the total amount of money being transferred into and out of a business, especially as affecting liquidity.

Second, what I mean by cash flow in this article is not the corporate kind, but personal cash flow, which includes understanding both Income Statement and Balance Sheet. (See Figure 1).
Understanding the relationship between these two financial statements is the key to sound management of personal finance to achieve financial freedom. Interpreting cash flow from this perspective refers to the direction of money, the inflow, and outflow, or the pattern of earning and spending. From the point of view of personal finance, this kind of cash flow has three patterns depending on people’s socio-economic class.
Figure 1 – Income Statement and Balance Sheet
    ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/EonqK6XzXmjG6W3oYLYXEpVE3xCZXc6njuo8Le9b7QCPHVtmgqKtbu7YAsX7ioVr9pu.png)
Most poor do not see the importance of a Balance Sheet. Their cash flow is defined by their Income Statement, that is, they simply spend what they earn.
Figure 2 – Cash Flow of the Poor
    ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23wMuaVX46u8mKyZqp655ZNWefvYiB1dRYZY5Q2sxYBcd2neQUiWYBYDtHnVHRfz3Cqx6.png)
Since the middle class is typically known as a social class, which income is gradually increasing due to success in small business or job promotion, they usually use their income by buying a lot, building a house, and purchasing furniture and other luxuries. Applying such cash flow to the mentioned financial statements would mean that they used their income buying liabilities and so their expenses increased together with their salary.
Figure 3 – Cash Flow of the Middle Class
    ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23wggyx7VkJgj8FZUQgDYeMJwYSakzQDHGxFAcVqEE41Rvavs3JwtXWo18vbnDdtTET5Z.png)
In the case of financially educated rich, their cash flow is characterized by a focus on buying assets. As they continually use their income to add more assets to their Balance Sheet, their income grows. And when their income is big enough, that’s the time they use their money to spend for their liabilities.
Figure 4 – Cash Flow of the Rich
    ![image.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23wMujeH6tQbU6LvxhyARPNFM3L2yAW3LGMbnSn4cq2qo1vTSK5SnHNH4ed5KczUJ7Hj3.png)
The above paragraph that explains the three types of cash flow gives us also three definitions of cash flow, which are different from the corporate cash flow statement:

the direction of money from income to expenses,

the direction of money from income to liabilities to expenses, and

the direction of money from income to assets to income to liabilities to expenses.

The third way to understand cash flow is through the board game created by Robert Kiyosaki.
For Robert Kiyosaki, understanding cash flow is very important and that is why he gave his board game this name. Making this board game is his way to teach financial education to prepare people for the world of business and investment. Doing this, he made financial education his business. In this board game, cash flow is defined as income minus expenses. So, all in all, we have at least three concepts of cash flow:

    corporate cash flow statements

cash flows of three socio-economic classes, and

cash flow as used in a board game

In the introduction of Kiyosaki’s book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, he mentioned a story of the different reactions of people as they played the board game: the accountant, the businessman, the computer programmer, and the banker.
The accountant finds Cash Flow a very interesting game making accounting and investing fun and exciting. While playing the game, she was disturbed with the fact about the ignorance of most adults about the basics of simple accounting and investing. She realized that ignorance of this subject was the primary reason why most people struggle financially.
The businessman on the other hand said that he does not need the game for he could hire professionals such as accountants, bankers, and lawyers to do the work for him.
And then we have the computer programmer. He was also not impressed for he believes that all he needs is software to teach him how to invest.
And then finally, the banker. He was moved while playing the game. He realized that he studied all this stuff in school but he does not know how to apply his knowledge in the actual world of business and investment. With that realization, he saw the need for him to get out of the Rat Race.
The rat race is a financial condition of a person where the cycle consists in working, receiving a salary, and spending. Such a cycle is repeated for years until the person reached the peak of his working years and in old age will rely on his relatives or friends for his hospital bills. This is how Robert Kiyosaki describes the rat race:

If you look at the life of the average educated, hardworking person, there is a similar path. The child is born and goes to school. The proud parents are excited because the child excels, gets fair to good grades, and is accepted into a college. The child graduates maybe goes on to graduate school and then does exactly as programmed: looks for a safe, secure job or career. The child finds that job, maybe as a doctor or a lawyer. . . Generally, the child begins to make money, credit cards start. . . and the shopping begins . . .
Having money to burn, the child goes to places where other young people just like they hang out, and they meet people, they date, and sometimes they get married. Life is wonderful now, because today, both men and women work. Two incomes are bliss. They feel successful, their future is bright, and they decide to buy a house, and a car…and have children…The happy couple decides that their careers are vitally important and begin to work harder, seeking promotions and raises. The raises come, and so does another child and the need for a bigger house. They work harder, become better employees, and even more dedicated. They go back to school to get more specialized skills so they can earn more money . . . Their incomes go up . . .They get their large paycheck and wonder where all the money went . . . The children reach 5 or 6 years of age, and the need to save for college increases as well as the need for their retirement.
That happy couple, born 35 years ago, is now trapped in the Rat Race for the rest of their working days. They work for the owners of their companies, for the government paying taxes, and for the bank paying off a mortgage and credit cards.
Then they advise their children to ‘study hard, get good grades, and find a safe job or career.’ They learn nothing about money . . . and work hard all their lives. The process repeats into another hard-working generation. This is the ‘Rat Race.’ (Source: Robert T. Kiyosaki, Rich Dad, Poor Dad).

From the above description of the rate race, I see it as a kind of prison though different in degree compared to the kind of economic and financial jail based on the existing monetary system. Understanding both cash flow and the rat race, I hope that you will explore the path to achieve such a vision of financial freedom.
In the next article, I will be giving an overview of my current understanding of blockchain technology.

  • Greetings bosses and welcome to my post.

The world could be a cruel place to be in and it could also be a beautiful place as well as a stressful place. What the world is to you is dependent on the hard and smart work you put into your path of financial vindication.

This post is based on a true life story, and I want to use this medium to motivate everyone out there who think that life is worst to them.

Life is really cruel and heartless to me, but in all, we move forward never to go back wards. I believe that giving up isn't an option because all other works will be a waste if I give up now.

    **THE STORY**

Nwothini was born to a great family of 4 with him being the second son, while having an eldest sister and two other brothers.

Growing up, things began to go north and I had to fend for myself from a very young age. I was around 6-8 years old when I first made my 2 thousand Naira with hard work. Back then, 2 thousand Naira is like 6 thousand Naira now, and I was paid this money on a weekly basis.

I worked with a wholesale shop. I was the short distance transporter then and my boss transported long distance. At times I do follow him for long distance transportation while his wife was the accountant. Back then, I do use a wheel barrow for short distance transportation and it was really stressful.

I worked for sometime after which I quit because of the stress and my body was too young to keep up with that stress.

After some time, when I was around 9 - 10 years of age, I got another job where I was paid the same amount.

I worked with a man who bakes meat roll, egg role, fish roll, burger and many things. (He taught me this skill which I've forgotten now though) and still paid me cause the work load was much. After I finished baking with him, the suppliers will carry it on their show glass and hawk it around.

I got feeding from there a x I didn't have to spend much money because after everything, I will save some, and bring some home to add to the feeding money for my family.

Dad left when I was born, so it was just mom and she refused to remarry.

I thought I had found vindication from my current work, because I was able to support my family financially but life had a very interesting path for me.

I wouldn't say we were poor, but middle class because everyone strived hard to make sure that we survived.

After some years of working there and schooling at the same time, mom said we had to relocate to the east (imo state Nigeria) which we did, but I was really pained because I was making a living and I was really happy with my current work.

We relocated to the east thinking that the path will be better, not knowing that things was about to get really bad. After much struggles, I couldn't bare it no more, so I had to look for something to do.

That was when I started going for laborer job. I mixed cement for a brick layer at the age of 16 and I did it for some time and still doing it till date.. yes even as a Nursing student.
    ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmZTzC1Wozz1tVeabm4SXs4tKZQPrVdcNghTxcpmiW85eq/img_1734.jpeg)

After all the ups ad downs, I managed to graduate from secondary school with a good grade which still surprises me up till date, and that was when I decided to do nursing.

My nursing career is as a result of what life has thrown to me and I really don't want nobody to face such. I'm just summarizing things here to be honest.

I started my nursing career few years ago and it has been filled with ups and downs. We had a hangout in hive learners community last Monday and I told them I nearly committed suicide at one stage of life, but seeing why I started, looking at the people that are with me, and looking at tons of people out there I will help via charity, I decided to keep living.

Currently, I am a man of many talents.

At my current age, I do go for carpentry works,

I carry blocks for a block company,

I manage my provision store which I opened with the money gotten from the little jobs I do,

I still know how to fix wires (electrician)

    ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmZuo1GhtGqD6eDyyx6MT4E9ze6tBQbw8h6g5vqkQiLo5e/img_20230530_095454_211.jpg)

I know how to sew (tailoring)

And I am still a blogger and crypto spot trader.
If someone told you that I do these things, will you believe? NO. I do anything for money except illegal things.

I do anything that could get money and all these money I forward to my schooling.. yes.. when I started hive newly, I removed the money I got due to school problems, and even in Steemit (I was an author there too... My username is @ delightharris), I had to power down and channel the money into my school.

Currently I am owing a 125,000 Naira but I'm just hoping and working hard towards it. I believe in my hard and smart works and I believe in my creator to give me strength... What don't kill me will always make me stronger in life, and this, I will accomplish and get my license to practice, then impact the world positively.

    **THE MOTIVATION**

One things I've come to learn in life is that, if you're like a Christian that prays for God to do everything for you, my dear you'll perish. I believe that God has given us "dominion." In genesis he said "and let them have dominion." This implies that I have the power to do things, I have the authority to command things to work for me, but all these I could achieve through hard and smart work, including determination, self control, positive spirituality, loyalty, humility, as well as good vibes.

I am a student nurse currently who is in his Final years, and my dream of charity is about to be accomplished by Grace.

So what is holding you? If I could realize myself at age 6 and get out of my comfort zone to work, what about you? Yes two people ain't the same, but you're better than a 6 year old.

Irrespective of what life is throwing at us, we should be strong enough to fight head on with it. What doesn't kill you will make you stronger and, and if I die trying, it's better for me than to lead a miserable and poor life.

If you feel like crying in the process, shout out loud and cry your heart out.. if you feel angry and annoyed, look at your reflexion in a mirror and ask yourself, what is wrong and how I'm I going to solve this problem.. if you feel like giving up, remind yourself why you started and the people who are hoping that you make it in life, and when you reach your dreams, **put in kindness to the world,** help the needy, and tell them to help other persons and by so doing, the world will be a better place.

The change you seek begins from you.

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate you stopping by, and all the support I have been getting.

    I love you all.

It's another Lovely Monday morning from my end here and I trust that every hiver is doing great. Special thanks to all of us that have been consistent in dropping our thoughts in this weekly engagement.
This is my entry in response to week 65 edition 1 engagement which I tagged my perception on marriage.
It's apparent that marriage isn't a new word neither a new thing but what has been seen and taught in different strata. Follow as I share my own understanding and other things on marriage.
    What's marriage?
Marriage can be seen as a union between a man and a woman with the purpose of fulfilment of life's goals. Marriage is the coming together of a man and a woman for companionship, procreation, and achieving greater, more and better results. The definition of marriage is enormous and has been given different perspective.
    My thought on marriage.
Marriage is for a matured man and woman who have realised their pursuit of life's goals and would want to partner together to live as one which is also known as husband and wife. Marriage is not meant for children simply because there are many hurdles in the course of the journey that's why one must prepare himself or herself adequately before entering into it. The maturity here involves the capacity to endure, take critical decisions and implementation, have high tolerant level, perseverance, patience and broad heart of love to condone any form of mistakes.
    As a married man, there are certain things I thought of that is not the exact of what I see in the marriage. So also there are things I never thought of but suddenly they became a reality as a result of the marriage. Some of the differential factors I can figure out includes;

When your marriage is cross cultural then it requires some ample time for some things to take shape because of the differences in background. Perhaps how things are done in her place might not be same as how it's obtainable in your place. This discrepancy can either build or mare the entire marriage.
Sometimes the unmarried think that things will automatically turn out good immediately they get married but is not like that. Don't make any costly assumption about anything.
What has being married taught me?
Hmmm this question is very interesting because as far as I am concerned, is one of the peak of marriage. Any marriage that you can't deduce lessons and no change that means something might be wrong somewhere.
    A lot has changed about myself which I would like to highlight some this;
I use to find it difficult to share some vital things I hold with high esteem for myself but the marriage made me learned that whatever I have is for everyone. Therefore I have been transformed in the aspect of giving out gifts etc to people.
Being married has taught me to build emotional balance and intelligence due to the exposure I received to the life's challenges and most importantly from the children.
Marriage has open my eyes to see the good , bad and ugly side of life which brings out the real maturity in me.
Marriage is a training institution though a life long affair based on my religion which keeps trainee always on check as hurdles unveils itself. Certain habits that is not correct has been transformed due to marriage.
I believe no matter the achievement or accomplishment of one man or individual can't be compared to the output of two people that are united together. Therefore marriage enables a man to achieve more.
Marriage also creates or betters the vision and goal of an individual. At times you may not understand the clear cut of your assignment but when you get married, everything will be unveiled as you continue to journey. Personally my dreams have become 70% reality already because of marriage.

    CONCLUSION
Don't marry because of what you can see now but marry vision which could later translate into broad reality. I'm a testimonial to this however I am hopeful for more blessings.
thanks for visiting my blog and all the comments appreciated.

    As a married man, there are certain things I thought of that is not the exact of what I see in the marriage. So also there are things I never thought of but suddenly they became a reality as a result of the marriage. Some of the differential factors I can figure out includes;

    A lot has changed about myself which I would like to highlight some this;
I use to find it difficult to share some vital things I hold with high esteem for myself but the marriage made me learned that whatever I have is for everyone.

Marriage to me is an academy that one have a day of admission but no specific day of graduation till death do one part. There are lots of school of thought when it comes to what an ideal marriage should look like, but in all my stand in marriage is to be selfless and marrying someone who you disagree to agree without any third party coming in between.

In recent times there has been lots of divorce cases that makes one to wonder if really the people involved gave a deep thought into what marriage is before going into it at the first place. Well, most people yeild to the pressure from the society or even the immediate family saying *that all your mates are married and what are you waiting for"? Marriage is not by compulsion or out of fleshly desires. A man or a woman that is given to fornication will not stop when he is married either rather he will want to taste the different nature's because that has been his or her way of life.

Marriage is not always what one thinks in all, I can vividly remember that I attend various seminars and the preachers always try to give a picture of what an ideal marriage should look like. Most times people relate matters based on their own experience or what they heard from others and few put up ideas based on how it should be. Marriage is a package, so when you enter as you open it up what you see in yours is what you should take, so coming in with a rigid standard can ruin ones home.

For instance, if I have a standard and I feel my husband is not measuring up, the thing I need to do is not to force my way into him but gradually telling him the importance of doing things differently. Both of us will make mistakes then accepting our mistakes will enable us learn the best way to do same next time but sitting down with my correction fluid and refusing to be corrected will bring no little issue

Marriage is the coming together of two different adults who has been in there own environment and their way of training different, but when we come together we work on havingvthe same view.

*There was one promise I got from my father in law before I got married*. Initially I wanted to stay in my parents house and at least work to have some kind of financial freedom before getting married, *because without money marriage may become a mirage* but that was not possible for me and I decided to give in when my father in-law told me that there are jobs everywhere in their place. Well, I quickly accepted and the whole process was done. Fast forward to some weeks after, I asked him of the jobs he spoke of, he was bringing suggestions of working in their village for less than 8k in naira. *What!!!!* I was so sad the day I heard that. When we returned I told my husband that I was going to start up a business at least to help the family with those earnings.

That's one out of many, but this experience has taught me to believe in myself and no one can pay me more than I çan pay myself. Three years later I got a job that I was promised to be paid 20k naira . Four days after accepting the job and seeing how demanding it was going to be I left the job. Two weeks down the lane I got another that promised to pay 40k in naira, I also declined because some things may look juicing but a time killer.

Now before I accept any offer I have to put many things into consideration which includes the condition of my family, any job that will take my attention up 70 percent from my family is not for me. Also any job that will take 9 hours from my time in a day is not for me.

Now I have come to believe more in myself and what I have to offer. In this time one have to have good confidence in himself because that will help one run from distractions. In marriage I have become more matured in mind and have learnt how to handle my issues without involving anyone.
