    If you receive or use a product that is under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA), and are injured, you cannot sue the manufacturer, whose liability has been waived by the government. The only possible way to obtain benefits is to apply to the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP). This waiver, and the CICP program apply to all EUA products: vaccines, drugs, masks, ventilators, COVID tests, monoclonal antibodies.

    When a vaccine is fully licensed, if it has not been placed on the childhood vaccine schedule, you can sue the manufacturer for an injury. A minority of vaccines fall into this category, such as typhoid and cholera vaccines.

    There is a second US government program that waives manufacturer liability for those vaccines that have been placed on the childhood schedule. It is called the Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP), and it was established in 1986. All vaccines that CDC recommends for children or pregnant women (and the vast majority of vaccines administered in the US) fall into this category. Both the CICP and VICP programs are administered under the Health Resources and Services Agency (HRSA), a subagency of HHS.

    On August 23, 2021, FDA gave Comirnaty a license for people aged 16 and up. And on August 30, 2021, the CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted unanimously to put Comirnaty on the childhood schedule, and the CDC Director, Rochelle Walensky, concurred. The USG was able to do this because the vaccine had been licensed for 16-17 year olds, who are still children.

    But before Comirnaty can enter the VICP program and gain its liability shield, there must be a 75 cent excise tax imposed on each dose. This money is what supports the VICP awards for injuries. There must also be a notice in the Federal Register. Perhaps surprisingly, neither an excise tax nor a Federal Register notice has been issued for Comirnaty.

    I confirmed this by checking whether Cominarty had been formally added to the childhood schedule, and according to the HRSA, which manages both compensation programs, it has not.

    So, if you actually received the licensed Comirnaty vaccine, correctly labeled as the brand-name product, and not the EUA Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine being fobbed off as licensed product, and you were injured, you would be free to sue the manufacturer for your injury.

    But it seems there is no licensed Comirnaty vaccine anywhere to be found in the US. Pfizer wrote, "Pfizer does not plan to produce any product with these new [Comirnaty National Drug Codes] and labels over the next few months while EUA authorized product is still available and being made available for U.S. distribution."

    So, if there is no licensed product being administered, and the EUA vaccine is shielded from liability under the CICP, there is no need to finish moving the product into the VICP, yet. The CICP offers stronger liability protection than does the VICP, and its maximum benefit, about $375,000, is a small fraction of the maximal VICP payout. Furthermore, moving the vaccine into the VICP when there isn't any vaccine to be found might create legal risks for the FDA and HHS.

    FDA issued a license for Comirnaty in order to enable vaccine mandates, which are illegal for EUA products, since EUA products are by legal definition experimental. (I have cited the EUA laws in earlier blog posts.) Yet FDA knew no licensed vaccine would be offered. This was a crime, a "bait and switch" on the American public. I wrote extensively about it the week of August 23, and in an article in The Defender coauthored with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on August 24.

    If you received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine under Emergency Use Authorization, or received the Moderna (whose branded product, “Spikevax” was licensed on Jan. 31, 2022 but is also unavailable ) or J and J vaccine, you can't sue anyone. You have the right to beg HRSA for compensation for lost wages and unpaid medical bills, period. So far, HRSA and the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program it administers have not paid out one dime for the approximately one million injuries and 20,000 deaths reported to VAERS for any COVID vaccine, nor a cent for any unreported injuries. In fact, they have not paid out a plug nickel for any injuries due to monoclonal antibodies, remdesivir, other COVID drugs, ventilators, tests, masks etc. that are all being used (a.k.a. shielded) for COVID under the EUA program.

    Look at the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program list of all the payments the CICP has made since it was founded. They have paid out a total of 29 claims since 2010. Over 6,000 (almost all related to COVID products) remain to be adjudicated. Note that the word "alleged" is used for both the countermeasure and the injury for which HRSA provided compensation. Even after HRSA provided benefits, HRSA has not admitted that an injury occurred nor that a countermeasure had caused it.

    DHHS-HRSA have not admitted that a single injury was caused by a COVID vaccine, or for that matter by any COVID product used under an emergency use authorization.

    Similarly, CDC says it has not linked a single death to a COVID vaccine--not even when a recipient walked into the vaccination center but got carried out to the morgue.

    HRSA, FDA, CDC and NIH are all agencies within the federal Department of Health and Human Services. They have all gotten their stories straight. They know nothing and they are just following orders. This article will provide you with examples of how each of these 4 so-called public health agencies helped hide the truth, instead spreading identical false narratives. It made no difference which party was in power. Heil HHS!

    Want to know the biggest conspiracy in the US right now? It is the HHS.

    FDA and CDC each have their own large sets of databases, about a dozen apiece, most of which they pay industry to access. They share management of the VAERS database, by statute. Why don't they share their other databases, since the taxpayer has already paid for them? One reason is that this gives them a reason to spend more loot, and to point fingers at each other when things aren't going well.

    FDA has access to a bunch of electronic databases it has termed the "BEST" Initiative, and it published a plan to use them to study heart attacks, pulmonary embolism, thrombocytopenia, etc. after COVID vaccinations back in July. Where are the results, FDA? What are you waiting for? (According to CDC, "More than 459 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through November 29, 2021."). It seems clear that we aren't going to be informed of FDA's findings until everyone possible has been vaccinated, at which point the results will be irrelevant.

    In October 2020, FDA's head of epidemiology and biostatistics, Steve Anderson, told us there were even more databases that would be studied. Here is what he promised would be studied:

    There was another system FDA promised to use to evaluate vaccine safety: PRISM. But we have heard nothing from PRISM regarding COVID vaccines, or anything else, lately. PRISM has disappeared.


    The Center for Biologics' Office of Biostatistics and Epidemiology currently has 11 fulltime staff and 4 vacancies. Did the honest analysts leave? The other eleven seem to be sitting on their hands. Myocarditis is the most obvious COVID vaccine-associated severe adverse event. It usually happens within 4 days of the second shot. It is most common in young males. It has been reported many thousands of times to VAERS. Understanding it ought to be a slam dunk.

    On August 23, 2021, FDA had the temerity to write to BioNTech that its [FDA's] capabilities were inadequate to assess myocarditis, so BioNTech would have to do it for them. Here is what FDA wrote about its inability to use VAERS and its many other databases to assess the myocarditis risk:

    As noted above, the FDA acknowledges that “We have determined that an analysis of spontaneous post-marketing adverse events reported under section 505(k)(1) of the FDCA [in other words, analyzing VAERS--Nass] will not be sufficient to assess known serious risks of myocarditis and pericarditis and identify an unexpected serious risk of subclinical myocarditis.

    Furthermore, the pharmacovigilance system that FDA is required to maintain under section 505(k)(3) of the FDCA [in other words, FDA's many other databases that cost the taxpayer $zillions are also inadequate--Nass] is not sufficient to assess these serious risks.”

    NOT SUFFICIENT???? Is this a joke? All this data, plus software, plus a team of analysts, and FDA says it can't assess the risk of myocarditis, despite identifying thousands of cases?

    Unsaid, but implied, is that if FDA is incapable of understanding thousands of reported cases of myocarditis, it cannot or will not study the other serious adverse events that have been reported in conjunction with COVID vaccines.

    VAERS has operated for 30 years, collecting reports of vaccine adverse events. It averaged under 100 cases of myocarditis reported yearly until this year. Through November, CDC reports it received 1949 reports of myocarditis and pericarditis, just in those under 30. CDC didn't say what the total number of reports for all ages was.

    Somehow, FDA and CDC don't seem at all perturbed that the acknowledged reporting rate of myocarditis is over 20 times the average during the past 30 years. Why not?

    CDC has been even more shady in its analyses of safety as FDA, if that is even possible. Below, Nancy Messonier, then head of Immunizations and Respiratory Diseases at CDC, presented this list of databases that CDC would be using in the evaluation of COVID vaccine safety, on December 10, 2020. Apart from the V-safe database (which they stopped talking about last January, after it revealed that 1-3% of vaccine recipients required a doctor visit to deal with side effects), the Vaccine Safety Datalink (VSD) (which somehow can't find any problems, not even myocarditis) and the VAERS database, all the other databases CDC promised to study have been MIA.


    NIH, whose job has never been to issue treatment guidelines, but instead to perform and fund research, suddenly took over the treatment guidelines for COVID early in 2020. It formed a committee of internal and eternal "experts" to make up the guidelines. How were they chosen? That is not clear, but what is clear is that 16 of these so-called experts had current or recent financial entanglements with Gilead, the maker of remdesivir. NIH and the US Army also owned pieces of remdesivir. A number of the experts had financial dealings with Merck. While NIH is the single biggest funder of medical research in the world, I cannot recall seeing a single study it funded on the safety of COVID vaccines. Yet somehow vaccines are its number one recommendation.

    It is not clear whether the NIH's guidelines committee is functional. The NIH has been sued to learn whether a vote was even taken by the committee regarding its ivermectin guidelines, which fly in the face of the evidence on ivermectin. And no one has answered the big question: how was NIH somehow authorized to issue treatment guidelines in the first place?

    Here is what has obviously occurred. All these agencies were told they had to keep quiet on vaccine problems (and perhaps problems of other COVID treatments), and they had to fiddle with their data or their analytic methods, or both, to get the required results. And there was to be NO BAD NEWS, no matter what. And no good news regarding generic treatments.

    As we have seen, the so-called scientists and physicians working as bureaucrats in these agencies all caved, sucked it up, did the dirty work, kept their jobs, and betrayed their oaths and the trust of the people of the USA and the world.

    In a nutshell, gene therapy has been pushed through using two US Government Acts (similar in EU) below:

    Orphan Drug Act, 1983

    Rare Disease Act, 2002

    They were passed a long time ago, to ‘encourgage’ the big pharma companies to research drugs for very small patient populations. The regulatory pathway on safety is significantly smoother for orphan indications and rare diseases, than for large market drugs.

    All big pharma did until the last few years, was game the regulations to make themselves a few extra bucks. That was until the SARS-CoV-2 injections.

    When they got them approved, with litle effort, it opened the door to the more lenient pathway and price tags of up to £4.25 million per treatment (see above).

    The flood gates are open to a new kind of blockbuster drug

    While big pharma could not get the traditional drugs to maket to create blockbusters, they re-did the math, from:

    High volume, sky high cost (but claimed to be reasonable)

    to:

    Low volume, cost into outer space (but still claimed to be reasonable)

    Either way, the formula is planned to deliver mega $$$$$$$.

    BREAKING: China reconciliation talks between Fatah, Hamas, Palestinian factions sign reconciliation agreement.

    The national factions agreed during their meetings in China to achieve comprehensive Palestinian national unity, including all Palestinian forces and factions within the framework of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). They committed to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with United Nations resolutions, and ensuring the right of return in accordance with Resolution 194.

    The participants also agreed on the Palestinian people's right to resist occupation and end it according to international laws and the United Nations Charter. They decided to form a temporary national unity government with the consensus of the Palestinian factions by decree of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas based on the Palestinian Basic Law. This government will begin by unifying all Palestinian institutions in the territories of the Palestinian state, initiating the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, and preparing for general elections under the supervision of the Central Elections Commission as soon as possible, according to the approved election law.

    The Palestinian factions meeting in Beijing are:

    - Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine
    - Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine

    1. Unifying national efforts to confront Zionist aggression and stop the genocide perpetrated by the occupying state and settler gangs supported by the United States of America. They also agreed to resist attempts to displace our people from their homeland, Palestine, and to force the Zionist entity to end its occupation of the Gaza Strip and all other occupied territories, while maintaining the unity of Palestinian lands, including the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip.

    2. The Palestinian factions welcome the opinion of the International Court of Justice, which affirmed the illegitimacy of the Israeli presence, occupation, and settlements on the land of the State of Palestine and emphasized the need for their removal as soon as possible.

    3. Based on the National Reconciliation Agreement signed in Cairo on 4/5/2011 and the Algiers Declaration signed on 12/10/2022, the factions agreed to continue following up on the implementation of agreements to end the division with the assistance of Egypt, Algeria, and friends in the People's Republic of China and the Russian Federation as follows:

    a) Commitment to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant United Nations resolutions, particularly Resolutions 181 and 2334, and ensuring the right of return in accordance with Resolution 194.

    b) The right of the Palestinian people to resist occupation and end it in accordance with international laws and the United Nations Charter, and the right of peoples to self-determination and their struggle to achieve it by all available means.

I'll remind barflies that Russia obtained a similar agreement about six weeks ago that was oral instead of written which was prominently mentioned by Lavrov during his remarks about the Palestinian Crisis at the UNSC last week. Plus, I'll note the intensity of Russian Minister Bogdanov's interactions with all regional players over the last week, including the weekend. However, as I wrote at the end of "Lavrov's Geopolitical Review for the Heads of Russian Non-Profits & NGOs":

    "I agree with his formulation that the UN isn’t working as designed because too many nations are violating the UN Charter instead of working together to uphold and enforce International Law.     I didn't emphasize my final sentence, although it merits that treatment. IMO, the above argument is rock solid as is its conclusion. Force will need to be applied to obtain peace as the Zionists and their one ally only obey that formula. Crooke asks again and again for the world to look reality in the eye and not try to substitute wishful thinking in its place. Lavrov's UNSC presentation was very powerful but lacked noting the need for physical enforcement of UNSC and UNGA Resolutions as the only genuine means to make those Resolutions reality. The reality is the Arc of Resistance lacks the military power to affect that reality, although it can and will cause the Zionists great pain, but that pain alone isn't sufficient.

    JB, you are absolutely correct: It is not reasonable, fair, or just. But colonialism is not about any of those things. Colonialism is about exercising raw power against weaker groups of people.

    In 1949 the country of Palestine was inhabited by mostly Arab Palestinians. After WW2 a new international organization called the United Nations was created to replace the League of Nations. At that time (1949) the UN had only 49 members, mostly western countries.

    Led by the British, the USA, and the Soviet Union, a vote was taken to split Palestine into two states so that the Jewish victims of the Holocaust (there were many more non Jewish victims) could have a place to live as Europeans were so anti-Semitic that Jews were not welcome in European countries. Anyway, that was the logic.

    But neither the British, nor the US, or the Soviet Union at that time, ever considered asking the Arab Palestinian people, who have lived in Palestine for hundreds of years before 1949, if they were in agreement with allowing European Jews to take control of more than half of Palestine in order to relive Europe of it "Jewish" problem. The two-state solution was a typical colonial European solution. The vote by 49 countries (I don't think the vote was unanimous if someone knows pleas respond) was racist and a violation of the spirit of the UN founding documents and ideas: The recent ICJ rulings make that quite clear.

    First things first. China is a large enough power on the world stage and by now has acquired legitimacy on the world stage as an entity to be reckoned with, not matter how much the Outlaw Empire and Israel would like to put them on ignore.

    I highly suggest reading the original Mandate for Palestine of 1922 where the following two aspects are delineated:

    What altered that equation was Zionist Terrorism pure and simple, yet swept under the rug since 1948, although it's quite clearly alive and well today and attempting to attain the goal of its founders--the complete elimination of all non-Jews from Palestine.

    To be fair, you're correct that the indigenous Palestinians were never asked, not in 1922 or afterward. The British, French and then the Americans viewed control of the levant necessary for geopolitical reasons that originated before the Napoleonic Wars when the British and French were geopolitical rivals. On one thing they agreed--the Ottoman Empire needed to be defeated and Islam forced to leave Europe and the Levant despite the latter being Islam's homeland.

    The current reality is extremely ugly. Palestinian leadership continues to say they are willing to live alongside anyone as long as they're peaceful and law-abiding people of good will--even Zionists after the decades of injustices. The Zionists on the other hand want to kill all the Palestinians and want to cohabitate with only fellow Zionists. Given that most Zionists are former Europeans, they have little claim to legitimacy in Palestine versus that of those that have lived there for centuries, Jews included. That Jews are capable of living elsewhere in peace with their fellows is proven by Iran/Persia, which means Zionists are an aberration much like Islamic State--Fanatical Anti-Human Zealots: Misfits to the nth degree.

    What's the Just Solution? Clearly, a Zionist state is Unjust and thus ruled out. A Palestine modeled on the original mandate being home to all willing to live in peace would be Just.     - Continuing to follow up on the implementation of the agreements to end the division that took place with the help of Egypt, Algeria, China, and Russia.

    Note the very different wording from China’s title versus Palestinian’s. It seems to me that there ought to be more to the text, so we’ll need to wait and see what’s published further. Al-Mayadeen did publish an article based on an interview with a Hamas official based in Lebanon, Ahmad Abdel Hadi, that needs to be provided in full:

    The primary context for the Palestinian factions' agreement and the signing of the Beijing Declaration is the significant strategic achievement represented by Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which made global public opinion recognize the Palestinian people's rights, said Hamas representative in Lebanon, Ahmad Abdel Hadi.

    Abdel Hadi told Al Mayadeen that the second context for the Beijing Declaration is the genocide and starvation war that the Israeli occupation has been waging in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

    According to the Hamas official, this factor places a huge responsibility on those meeting in Beijing to unite against the Israeli aggression.

    He added that the third context for the agreement is the American-Israeli attempt, in collaboration with regional countries, to establish alternative forces to the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip, through Arab or Islamic forces under international sponsorship to oversee relief and reconstruction operations.

    The official made it clear that the Palestinian people and Resistance will consider any foreign force in the Gaza Strip as an "occupying force" and would treat it as such, "an occupation".

    Abdel Hadi praised the Beijing Declaration, pointing out that it blocks American-Israeli schemes and plans that serve the occupation's interests and that seek to establish a new reality by offering alternatives to the Palestinian Resistance in the Gaza Strip.

    He revealed that the agreement outlines a transitional phase until the election of a Palestinian National Council and the formation of a Palestinian government. It also includes coordinating meetings of the unified leadership framework, which includes all the general secretaries of the Palestinian factions and acts as a guarantor for outlining and scheduling what was agreed upon in the Beijing Declaration.

    The Hamas official highlighted China's role as a guarantor through close follow-up with the general secretaries of the Palestinian factions and "all necessary parties," as well as those involved in reconciliation efforts and previous dialogue sponsorships, such as Egypt and Algeria, as stipulated in the agreement.

    He noted that the declaration included the minimum common points among all factions, "imposed by the prevailing situation, necessities, and national responsibility."

    According to Abdel Hadi, the agreement respects "the armed Resistance of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front, and several factions in the Gaza Strip, as well as the popular uprising in the West Bank," in addition to "the popular and political resistance of Fatah and PLO factions."

    The Hamas official underlined that the Palestinian Resistance factions believe in establishing a Palestinian state on the entire occupied Palestinian territory, with al-Quds as its capital, without recognizing the Israeli entity.

    He said the factions would respond to upcoming developments according to changing realities.

    He noted that the Resistance forces can deal with "the current reality based on the global recognition of Palestinian rights if the world can provide a [Palestinian] state within the 1967 borders with full sovereignty and without recognizing Israel and preserve the right of return as a step toward fully liberating our land."

    Elsewhere, Abdel Hadi stated that any effort to bring the Palestinian factions closer and achieve reconciliation "will upset the occupation," which has long worked to "strengthen division through various means," confirming that the actual implementation of the agreement signed in Beijing "greatly disturbs" "Israel".

    In this context, the Israeli "Institute for National Security Studies" (INSS) suggested earlier that, although the path to reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas is a possibly long one, it is nevertheless a blow to "Israel".

    The INSS indicated that discussions in Beijing, together with China's support at the UN, maintain Hamas' legitimacy, making it harder for the Israeli occupation to establish a "the day after" solution in Gaza without the movement's involvement. [My Emphasis]

    I note that Egypt, Algeria, China, and Russia are being noted for their help along with China in overcoming “the division.” The Hamas official seems to suggest that the Palestinians want to reclaim all of Mandate Palestine. Nowhere is the Two-State Solution mentioned, although UNGA Resolution 181 is viewed in a positive light despite the fact that it indeed proposed a two-state solution from Point 9:

    During the transitional period no Jew shall be permitted to establish residence in the area of the proposed Arab State, and no Arab shall be permitted to establish residence in the area of the proposed Jewish State, except by special leave of the Commission.

    Again, I return to my assessment that force will be required to attain compliance as the Zionists refuse to negotiate or obey International Law of almost any sort—and it’s not just the Zionist government of Occupied Palestine, but a large majority of its populous who have also proven to be outlaws and complicit in the Zionist Genocide Project. IMO, Palestinians understand that reality while the two major powers that have the ability to alter the issue have yet to accept that reality despite their good intentions. The Mandatory shall be responsible for placing the country under such political, administrative and economic conditions as will secure the establishment of the Jewish national home, as laid down in the preamble, and the development of self-governing institutions, and also for safeguarding the civil and religious rights of all the inhabitants of Palestine, irrespective of race and religion. Note, Palestine was to be a country, not two states within one area, that would provide a home for Jewish people within that one nation where all inhabitants are to be treated equally. That was the original intent of the Mandate. Even the Balfour Declaration expressed the rights of those already there were to be respected: "... it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done which may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine, or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country."     Israel blocks Palestinians from 80 percent of Gaza

    The UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) says the Israeli military has placed more than 80 percent of the Gaza Strip “under evacuation orders or designated as a no-go zone”.

    “We just keep hearing the same question: Where do I go?” UNRWA said on X, quoting its spokeswoman’s remarks to the BBC’s Radio 4.

    It comes a day after Israel ordered thousands of people to flee from the eastern parts of the Khan Younis governorate to al-Mawasi in the west.

    Death toll from Israeli bombing in Khan Younis rises to 89

    At least 89 people have been killed in southern Gaza’s Khan Younis governorate, according to the enclave’s Government Media Office, since Israel launched a new military operation in the area yesterday morning, without giving civilians time to flee. Hundreds of people are also reported injured.

    NOTE: The targeting of aid workers in Gaza by Israel has been a long-standing pattern. Since October 2023, at least 278 aid workers were reported killed in Gaza, including 201 UN staff members.

    Following an Israeli attack on a high-profile humanitarian aid convoy in early April, MSF official Christopher Lockyear decried what was already a norm: “This pattern of attacks is either intentional or indicative of reckless incompetence.”


    US Capitol Police arrest activists calling for Israel arms embargo

    Al Jazeera reports: The rotunda of an office building in the United States Capitol complex filled in minutes with hundreds of people who appeared as if from nowhere, as part of a surprise protest against Israel’s war in Gaza.

    “Let Gaza live,” they chanted in unison inside the Cannon House Office Building, removing their outer garments to reveal matching red T-shirts.

    One side of the shirt read, “Jews say stop arming Israel.” The other side: “Not in our name.”

    Tuesday’s coordinated protest, led by Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP), took Congressional staffers and law enforcement agents aback, as it came together within minutes.

    But the crackdown started almost immediately after the protesters assembled. Capitol Police quickly declared the area a closed “zone” and arrested hundreds of demonstrators who refused to leave.

    “This is a moment in history where we have to say we stood up for Palestinian freedom. We stood up to end this genocide,” said protester Liv Kunins-Berkowitz.

    “For so many of us, we are the descendants who survived ethnic cleansing and genocide. Our ancestors and grandparents taught us that the worst thing to do in these moments is to be a bystander.”

    The activists are of all faiths, races, and ethnicities. They’re working to overcome the powerful Israel lobby.

    Seven major US labor unions call on Biden to ‘shut off military aid to Israel’

    The Guardian reports: Seven major US labor unions representing about 6 million workers sent a letter to Joe Biden on Tuesday calling on his administration to “immediately halt all military aid to Israel” ahead of a visit to the US from Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, this week.

    The unions that signed on to the letter include the Association of Flight Attendants (AFA), American Postal Workers Union (APWU), International Union of Painters (IUPAT), National Education Association (NEA), Service Employees International Union (SEIU), United Auto Workers (UAW) and United Electrical Workers (UE).

    “Our unions are hearing the cries of humanity as this vicious war continues,” said Mark Dimondstein, the APWU president, in a press release. “Working people and our unions are horrified that our tax dollars are financing this ongoing tragedy. We need a ceasefire now, and the best way to secure that is to shut off US military aid to Israel.”

    The UAW stated, “This week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to come to Congress to ask our government to keep supporting this war [in Gaza]. We reject this insult to all those calling for peace and justice.”


    Amnesty issues fresh warning about US complicity in Israeli war crimes

    Middle East Monitor reports: Amnesty International has issued a fresh warning about US complicity in Israeli war crimes as Benjamin Netanyahu visits Washington. The human rights NGO also called on the US to halt arms exports to Israel with Netanyahu set to meet Joe Biden and possibly Kamala Harris during his trip.

    In the absence of a UN Security Council arms embargo, Amnesty is calling on all countries to impose a comprehensive arms embargo on Israel immediately, until there is no longer a substantial risk that arms could be used to commit or facilitate serious violations of international human rights or humanitarian law.

    Countries which continue to transfer arms to Israel with knowledge that the recipient state or group is using these arms to commit “internationally wrongful acts” — which include crimes under international law such as war crimes and crimes against humanity — are not only violating their obligation to ensure respect for international humanitarian law, said Amnesty today, but are in fact also assisting these violations.

    Companies manufacturing and exporting arms also have a responsibility to respect human rights and international humanitarian law throughout their value chains. Any companies providing material assistance in the commission of a war crime can be found legally liable for such a crime.

    “The US government has been presented with ample evidence from experts around the world that US-origin arms have been used in war crimes and unlawful killings by the Israeli government.”

    Continued weapons transfers will make the US “complicit” in violations of international law committed with these arms, explained the Amnesty official.

    NOTE: Weapons transfers to armed Palestinian groups also fall within Amnesty’s call for embargo – although in reality, international law supports the efforts of resistance groups against an occupying power, the UN extending that right to the point of armed resistance.

    Israeli executives, former security officials denounce Netanyahu ahead of address to US Congress

    Andalou Agency reports: Dozens of Israeli executives, academics, and former national security officials denounced Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, warning in a letter to US congressional leaders that he represents an “existential threat” to the US and Israel.

    The letter signed by 31 Israelis comes on the eve of Netanyahu’s address to a joint session of Congress where many lawmakers are expected to not attend or stage protests to interrupt the Israeli leader’s speech. It is addressed to House Speaker Mike Johnson, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

    “We cannot overstate this: Prime Minister Netanyahu poses an existential threat to the State of Israel. He has no clear strategic objectives for the war in Gaza, no plan for the day after, nor a strategy for how to deal with the existential threat of Iran. For decades, he has been inciting Israelis against each other, damaging our national social fabric, dramatically harming our defense capabilities, eroding our economy and devastating our international standing,” the authors wrote. A copy of the letter was posted publicly by CNN.

    “Further, Netanyahu severely harms the US national security interests through his approach to this war, which adversely impacts American policy in the Middle East and beyond and further endangers Israel,” they added.

    Prominent signatories include former Israeli military chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Dan Haloutz, ex-Mossad Director Tamir Pardo, former Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon, Nobel Prize Laureate Aaron Ciechanover and Israel’s former UN envoy Gabriela Shalev.

    Netanyahu’s speech to Congress is a ‘celebration of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians’

    Middle East Eye reports: Palestinian-American Representative Rashida Tlaib called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s upcoming speech to Congress “a celebration of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians”.

    Tlaib, the only Palestinian-American member of Congress, said that “Netanyahu is a war criminal committing genocide against the Palestinian people. It is utterly disgraceful that leaders from both parties have invited him to address Congress. He should be arrested and sent to the International Criminal Court.”

    She further remarked, “Make no mistake: this event is a celebration of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. It is a sad day for our democracy when my colleagues will smile for a photo op with a man who is actively committing genocide.

    “It is hypocritical to claim concern about the massive death toll of innocent civilians, then turn around and welcome the person responsible for these war crimes to our Capitol. Their silence is betrayal, and history will remember them accordingly. Our government must stop supporting and funding this genocide now.”

    Israel was founded in 1948 through a war of ethnic cleansing.

    Israeli government quietly sends millions to unauthorized West Bank settler outposts

    Associated Press reports: The Israeli government has budgeted millions of dollars to protect small, illegal, unauthorized Jewish farms in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, underwriting tiny outposts meant to grow into full-fledged , illegal settlements, according to an anti-settlement monitoring group.

    Documents uncovered by Peace Now illustrate how Israel’s pro-settler government has quietly poured tens of millions of dollars into the unauthorized outposts, which are separate from its more than 100 officially recognized – but also illegal – settlements. Some of those outposts have been linked to settler violence against Palestinians and are sanctioned by the U.S.

    The group estimates approximately 500 people live on the small, unauthorized farms and 25,000 more live in larger outposts. Those outposts, while not officially authorized by the government, often receive tacit support before they are retroactively legalized.

    Rights groups say the expanding network of remote farms atop West Bank hilltops are the primary drivers of violence and displacement of Palestinians.

    On Friday, the top United Nations court said Israel’s presence in the Palestinian territories is unlawful and called for an immediate halt to settlement construction.

    NOTE: While there has been an uptick in settler violence since October 7th, every one of the more than 700,000 Israeli settlers living on Palestinian land are violating international law.

    Israel has illegally built around 280 settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, and incentivized Israeli Jews to live in them.

    Many Palestinians believe that Israeli settlements and settlers on Palestinian land are the main barrier to any lasting peace agreement.

    Settlers, moreover, have a history of violence against Palestinians, often with the assistance of Israeli military forces.

    NOTE: The International Solidarity Movement recently posted this video of Israeli settlers brutally attacking both Palestinians and international volunteers – one day after the ICJ ruled that the Israeli occupation and settlements are illegal.

    350 foreign policy and national security personages endorse Kamala Harris, highlighting her involvement in the U.S.’ ‘defense of Israel when Iran attacked in April’

    Ha’aretz reports: 350 leading foreign policy and national security experts endorsed U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’s candidacy for U.S. President, calling her “the best qualified person to lead our nation as commander in chief.”

    “She has been by the president’s side in the Oval Office and in the Situation Room managing high-stakes international crises and advising on the toughest decisions,” they wrote, highlighting “the United States’ defense of Israel when Iran attacked in April 2024.”

    Among those to sign the letter include former U.S. Ambassadors to Israel Tom Nides and Daniel Kurtzer, former Special Envoy for Israeli-Palestinian Negotiations Frank Lowenstein, former national security advisers Susan Rice and Thomas E. Donilon, former secretaries of state John F. Kerry and Hillary Clinton; former secretaries of defense Chuck Hagel and Leon Panetta; and former top intelligence officials Michael Hayden and James Clapper.

    NOTE: While it’s not hard to find cheerleaders for Israel in its genocidal war on Gaza, voters themselves are not so enthusiastic: A Gallup poll in March showed that 55 percent of respondents disapproved of the Israeli military’s actions in the Gaza Strip. Among Democratic Party voters, the percentage was even higher, with 75 percent of respondents expressing a negative view of Israel’s actions, while 60 percent of independents also said they disapproved.

    Politicians have failed to grasp the significance of millions of Americans across the country protesting for ceasefire and an end to military aid to Israel – wrongly accusing them of antisemitism and ignoring their message.

    Palestinians accuse Israel of Olympic Truce breach

    Al Jazeera reports: The Palestine Olympic Committee has called for the “immediate exclusion of Israel from the Paris Olympics 2024”.

    In a letter to Thomas Bach, head of the International Olympic Committee, the Palestinians said Israel has been engaged in violations that include illegal colonial settlement, occupation and annexation, as well as genocidal incitement.

    The letter also stressed that there has been a breach of the Olympic truce. The UN General Assembly Resolution on the Paris 2024 Olympics mandates an Olympic truce from July 19 to September 15, 2024, to ensure a peaceful environment for the Games.

    “However, Israel has violated this truce within the first 24 hours by continuing its bombing on Gaza, resulting in the killing of at least 70 Palestinians. This contravention underscores the urgent need for OIC and FIFA to act in line with its statutes and promote respect for international human rights law,” the letter said.

    The letter was also sent to FIFA President Gianni Infantino by the Palestine Football Association.

    NOTE: At least 265 Palestinian sportsmen have been killed in Israeli attacks since last October, according to the Palestinian Football Association.

    “The victims include players, administrators and technical staff, including 11 in the West Bank” Jibril Rajoub, head of the association, told reporters.

    Many West Bank deaths on Tuesday

    Five Palestinians were killed Tuesday by Israeli occupation army gunfire in Tulkarm camp, including three men, a young girl, and a 50-year-old woman. Four of the bodies were confiscated by Israeli forces. The men were reportedly a Qassam commander and two members of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades.
    A 13-year-old child from the town of Bal’a, east of Tulkarem, succumbed Tuesday to critical injuries he sustained by Israeli forces’ live bullets about two weeks ago.
    A 39-year-old Palestinian man was Tuesday morning killed by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron.
    A young man, age 22, was Tuesday killed by Israeli occupation army gunfire from the town of Shuyoukh, northeast of Hebron.

    Palestinians hail new reconciliation deal amid Israeli opposition

    Andalou Agency reports: A China-mediated agreement to heal the years-long rift between Palestinian factions and form a national unity government has been met with Palestinian praise and Israeli opposition.

    The Palestinian groups on Monday reached a reconciliation agreement following three days of intensive talks in the Chinese capital Beijing to end their political division since 2007.

    Representatives of 14 Palestinian groups, including the rival Fatah and Hamas movements, signed a new statement pledging to end the division and strengthen unity.

    The agreement aims at maintaining Palestinian control over the Gaza Strip following the end of Israel’s ongoing offensive on the enclave.

    Signatories of the agreement said they would form an interim national unity government to supervise the reconstruction of the war-torn Gaza Strip and hold new elections.

    “The Beijing declaration is an additional positive step towards achieving Palestinian national unity,” Husam Badran, a member of Hamas political bureau, said in a statement.

    He said the factions agreed to form a national unity government to supervise Gaza reconstruction and prepare the conditions for holding elections.

    The agreement also underlined the right of the Palestinian people to resist the Israeli occupation and to self-determination based on international laws and UN Charter.

    Times of Israel reports: The IDF listed 41 soldiers killed due to friendly fire in Gaza and other military-related accidents – nearly 16%.

    NOTE: It is unknown at this time how many of the deaths and injuries in Israel on October 7 were caused by Israeli soldiers.

    *Previously, IAK did not include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile was being disputed. However, given that much evidence points to Israel as the culprit, Israel had previously bombed the hospital and has attacked many others, Israel is prohibiting outside experts from investigating the scene, and since the UN and other agencies are including the deaths from the attack in their cumulative totals, if Americans knew is now also doing so.**

    Euro-Med Monitor reports that Gaza’s elderly are dying at an alarmingly high rate. The majority die at home and are buried either close to their residences or in makeshift graves dispersed across the Strip. There are currently more than 140 such cemeteries. Additionally, according to Euromed, thousands have died from starvation, malnourishment, and inadequate medical care; these are considered indirect victims as they were not registered in hospitals.

    † For most of the conflict, women and children accounted for about 70% of deaths in Gaza, with children making up a little over 40% of those killed, according to official statistics.

Documents uncovered by Peace Now illustrate how Israel’s pro-settler government has quietly poured tens of millions of dollars into the unauthorized outposts, which are separate from its more than 100 officially recognized – but also illegal – settlements.     NTUC Income, established in 1970, was created to provide insurance protection to the masses at a time when life insurance was primarily accessible only to the higher income group.

    In January 2022, NTUC Income announced plans to convert its legal structure from a co-operative to a company governed by the Companies Act, aiming to strengthen its position amidst growing industry competition. The corporatisation was intended to provide NTUC Income with greater flexibility to raise funds for expansion and to offer more competitive products. The corporatisation was completed on 1 September 2022.

    On 17 July 2024, Allianz proposed a S$2.2 billion cash deal to acquire a 51 per cent stake in NTUC Income. The offer, priced at S$40.58 per share, represents a 37.3 per cent premium over NTUC Income’s net asset value per share as of 31 December 2023. If successful, the acquisition would elevate Allianz from the ninth to the fourth-largest composite insurer in Asia.

    “This proposed transaction brings two strong businesses together for the benefit of Singapore’s customers and solidifies Allianz’s leadership position in the region,” said Ms Renate Wagner, an Allianz board member responsible for the Asia-Pacific region.

    The deal is contingent on Allianz securing at least a 51 per cent stake, translating to approximately 54.6 million shares of NTUC Income.

    NTUC Enterprise Co-operative, holding a 72.8 per cent stake, has irrevocably committed to accepting the offer, ensuring NTUC Enterprise will maintain a substantial shareholding post-transaction, ranging from 21.8 per cent to 49 per cent.

    The acquisition also offers nearly 16,000 minority shareholders, who hold 27.2 per cent of NTUC Income’s shares, an opportunity to cash out from the illiquid and unlisted insurer.

    Allianz plans to conduct a strategic and operational review of NTUC Income’s businesses to enhance capital efficiency and explore potential business model transformations.

    The transaction is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of 2024 or the first quarter of 2025, aiming to consolidate Allianz’s market position in property-casualty, health, and life insurance in Singapore. Allianz emphasized its commitment to continuing NTUC Income’s participation in national insurance programs and social commitments.

    NTUC Income has submitted Allianz’s offer to purchase 51% of its shares at S$40.58 per share to the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) for regulatory approval. If approved by MAS, the offer will be presented to all NTUC Income shareholders, who will be notified accordingly.

    Former NTUC Income CEO Tan Kin Lian had earlier expressed his disappointment over the planned sale in a Facebook post, stating, “This is sad. But it reflects what has been happening in Singapore for the past three decades. We are following the bad practices of America. America is now in decay. Singapore may follow.”

    Mr Tan Kin Lian, who led NTUC Income from 1977 to 2007, claimed that the insurance firm’s assets increased by 600 times under his leadership, from S$28 million to S$17 billion.

    Commenting on a response by a netizen that a local icon should not be sold to a foreign company, Mr Tan said, “Sadly, PAP leaders do not share the same value as ordinary people.”

    Mr Tan Suee Chieh, the former CEO of NTUC Income from 2007 to 2013, also shared his concerns on Facebook.

    Israel gives 400,000 Palestinians minutes to flee Khan Younis before latest blitz

    The Cradle reports: The Israeli army ordered the sudden evacuation of over 400,000 Palestinians taking shelter in eastern Khan Younis on 22 July, dropping leaflets in the besieged city moments before warplanes began their raids.

    At least 77 deaths and 200 wounded have been reported in the aftermath of the attacks.

    Ha’aretz reports that the death toll from this operation has risen to 89, that 68 are reported missing, and 263 more people were injured. 13 houses in the city were reportedly directly targeted.

    Authorities at Nasser Medical Complex appealed for urgent blood donations, saying it faces a shortage of blood units, “which poses a serious threat to the lives of the sick and injured in light of the ongoing massacres carried out by the occupation forces against the innocent and civilians.”

    “The IDF is about to forcefully operate against the terror organizations and therefore calls on the remaining population left in the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis to temporarily evacuate to the adjusted humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi,” the Israeli military said in a statement on Monday morning.

    NOTE: The use of the word “terrorist” for a group that resists occupation and oppression is a political, not fact-based choice. In reality, international law supports the efforts of resistance groups against an occupying power, the UN extending that right to the point of armed resistance.

    Israeli Army Radio reported that Monday’s air raids in Khan Younis are the most violent since the end of the military operation in the city earlier this year.

    Local reports say many victims are still under the rubble and scattered along the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them due to the violent and continuous shelling.

    AL JAZEERA ADDS: Many fleeing Palestinians are hesitant to join the swelling tent camps in al-Mawasi, declared a humanitarian zone in May, after a recent attack on the area killed at least 92 people and wounded more than 300, according to figures from the Health Ministry. That attack caused global outrage.

    OCHA ADDS: The new evacuation order by the Israeli military encompasses about 8.7 square kilometres (3.4 square miles) in the so-called “humanitarian zone” in Al Mawasi area of Khan Younis decreases the area of the zone by nearly 15 per cent.




    Gaza: Israeli army admits abandoning Palestinian man with Down syndrome

    Middle East Eye reports: The Israeli army has admitted that a Palestinian man with Down syndrome who died after being attacked and injured by an army dog was abandoned by its soldiers.

    The army’s admission comes two weeks after Middle East Eye originally reported on the death of Muhammed Bhar following a raid by Israeli soldiers on his family home in eastern Gaza City’s Shujaiya neighborhood on 3 July.

    His family told MEE they had been forced at gunpoint to leave behind the 24-year-old after he was mauled by the dog. Relatives described Muhammed as “like a one-year-old”, and said he needed help eating.

    Family members contacted the Red Cross daily for a week, pleading for Muhammed’s release or medical treatment, but were told that the Israeli army was not cooperating.

    After a week, and once Israeli troops withdrew from Shujaiya, they returned to find his decomposing body at their home.

    An Israeli spokesperson said, “The IDF regrets the harm to civilians during the fighting.”

    Number of journalists killed in Gaza rises to 163

    The Israeli army struck a tent sheltering journalists in Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, central Gaza on Monday

    At least one person, journalist Haydar Ibrahim al-Msaddar, was killed while several others were wounded and suffered serious injuries.

    Msaddar was a media researcher and a specialist in media affairs, according to local authorities.

    According to his friend and fellow journalist Islam Bader, Msaddar had specialized in the study of propaganda and public opinion.

    “All the contents in the tent are journalistic equipment,” Youssef al-Hindi, a rescue worker who attended the scene after hearing the explosion, told Middle East Eye.

    Holding up a press helmet he found at the scene, Hindi said that he believes the journalists’ tent was intentionally targeted.

    Khalil al-Dakran, a doctor at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, agreed. It was the second time a tent in the grounds of the hospital had been hit, he said.



    Israeli forces shoot at UN convoy heading for Gaza City

    Philippe Lazzarini, the head of the UN agency for Palestinians (UNRWA), said that Israeli forces shot at a UN convoy heading towards Gaza City on Sunday.

    The movement of the convoy was coordinated and approved by the Israeli authorities.

    “One vehicle received at least five bullets while waiting just ahead of the Israeli Forces’ checkpoint south of Wadi Gaza,” Lazzarini said on X.

    “The car was severely damaged, it left the convoy. The teams re-assembled & finally reached Gaza City.”

    He concluded saying that “those responsible must be held accountable.”


    Medical Threat: Water and Garbage in Gaza

    A new report by PAX, an international NGO, highlights the growing public health risks of solid waste exposure in Gaza due to the collapse of the waste management system and blocked access to designated landfills by Israeli forces.

    The report especially highlighted the potential medical threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), whereby patients in conflict areas fail to respond to antibiotic treatments, which health experts have linked to the degradation and damage of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure as well as to heavy-metal exposure including munition remnants.

    The environmental consequences of the crisis are also enormous, according to the report, as they can render Gaza wholly uninhabitable and cause grave ecosystem and public health problems in the overall region due to the contamination of agricultural lands and the aquifer and the possible penetration of toxic substances into the food chain.

    The report presents a number of short-term and long-term recommendations for policymakers.

    Israel launches polio vaccination campaign for soldiers in Gaza, nothing for Palestinians

    The New Arab reports: On Sunday, the Israeli army launched a campaign to vaccinate its soldiers who are carrying out military operations in the Gaza Strip to avoid the infection of poliovirus, while ignoring the Palestinian population.

    Israel’s vaccination campaign occurs after an official announcement issued by the Palestinian health ministry said it discovered the spread of the poliovirus in the wastewater in the war-torn, besieged Gaza Strip.

    “The coastal enclave has been suffering from the lack of medicine and even vaccines that would be enough for the local people to avoid the spread of the poliovirus,” said sources.

    Meanwhile, Israel claimed “it sent about 300,000 polio vaccines to Gaza in cooperation with international organizations since the beginning of the war […] which is enough for more than a million citizens in Gaza.”

    “All the Israeli claims are not true […] it seems that the Israeli authorities decided to kill all the Palestinians in Gaza, either through the strikes or diseases and starvation,” Ismail Thawabta, the director of the Palestinian government media office in Gaza, remarked to TNA.

    HA’ARETZ ADDS: The IDF stresses that the soldiers not make any use of the local Gazan water system, and that the army regularly brings in large quantities of water from Israel, including millions of bottles of water for drinking and bathing, and tons of ice, as well as field showers, soap and disinfectant wipes.

    According to a recent Lancet study, the death toll in Gaza could be at least 186,000 dead due to direct and indirect impacts of Israel’s war on Gaza.

    Knesset passes bills to close UNRWA, label it ‘terrorist organization’

    Middle East Eye reports: Israel’s parliament has passed three bills in their first readings to close the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) and designate it a “terrorist organization”.

    The first bill prohibits UNRWA from operating any mission, providing any service or conducting any activity on Israeli territory. It was passed 58-9, The Times of Israel newspaper reported.

    The second bill was approved 63-9 and calls for stripping UNRWA personnel of their legal immunities and privileges offered to UN staff in Israel.

    The third bill calls for designating the UN agency as a “terrorist organization” and requires Israel to cut ties with it. It was passed by a 50-10 vote.

    The three bills will now go to the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for further deliberation. They will require two more readings to become effective.

    Israel has lobbied hard to have UNRWA closed, especially since it began its war on Gaza in October.

    Two Israeli hostages confirmed dead – IDF admits likely at fault

    Jerusalem Post reports: The Israeli military confirmed on Monday that two more hostages are dead, and that they were probably mistakenly killed by IDF forces during battles in Khan Younis some months ago.

    On March 10, Hamas had announced that the two hostages had been killed, but Israeli officials chose to assume the announcement was a bluff, and did not believe it. Now, based on “new, unspecified intelligence,” they have accepted their deaths as fact.

    The IDF did not disclose the exact circumstances of the hostages’ deaths, but did admit it is likely that they were mistakenly killed by Israeli forces.

    NOTE: Hamas offered a prisoner swap immediately after October 7th, but Israel rejected it.

    Israel’s Netanyahu says deal could be nearing for hostages

    The New Arab reports: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told families of hostages held in Gaza that a deal that would secure their loved ones’ release could be nearing, his office said on Tuesday.

    “The conditions are undoubtedly ripening. This is a good sign,” Netanyahu told the families on Monday in Washington, where was expected to meet US President Joe Biden later this week after making an address to Congress.

    Efforts to reach a Gaza ceasefire deal, outlined by Biden in May and mediated by Egypt and Qatar, have gained momentum over the past month. On Friday, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said negotiators were “driving toward the goal line.”

    Ruby Chen, father of dual US-Israeli citizen Itai Chen, a soldier whose body is being held in Gaza, was one of the family members who met with Netanyahu.

    “He did say that conditions were ripening but I’m taking that with a pinch of salt,” Chen told Israeli Army Radio.

    Israel’s West Bank Assault Sparks 250% Surge in Killings of Palestinian Kids

    Common Dreams reports: Three days after the International Court of Justice issued an advisory opinion stating that Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza is unlawful, the United Nations children’s rights agency said that after decades of being “exposed to horrific violence,” the number of children who have been killed in the West Bank since last October has skyrocketed.

    Since Israel began its bombardment of the Palestinian territories nearly 10 months ago, 143 Palestinian children have been killed in the West Bank, according to the U.N. Children’s Fund (UNICEF).

    The number represents a 250% increase compared to the nine months preceding October 7th.

    “The situation has deteriorated significantly, coinciding with the escalation of hostilities inside Gaza,” said Catherine Russell, executive director of UNICEF. “We are seeing frequent allegations of Palestinian children being detained on their way home from school, or shot while walking on the streets. The violence needs to stop now.”

    Some of the killings of children in the West Bank over the last 10 months have received international attention, like the Israeli forces’ shooting of two children, Basil Suleiman Abu al-Wafa and Adam Samer al-Ghoul, during a raid on the Jenin refugee camp in November.

    Al-Ghoul, who was nine, was shown on CCTV footage trying to run away from IDF soldiers when he was gunned down.

    Since October, two Israeli children have been killed in fighting the West Bank, said UNICEF.

    Yemeni harbor still ablaze two days after Israeli attack, as US says Israel justified

    Al Jazeera reports: Firefighting teams are struggling to contain a blaze at Yemen’s Hodeidah port, two days after a deadly Israeli strike damaged oil storage facilities and endangered aid ships in the harbor, AFP reports.

    Firefighting teams appear to have made little progress. The blaze appears to be expanding in some parts of the port amid fears it could reach food storage facilities.

    High-resolution satellite images taken by Maxar Technologies showed flames consuming a heavily damaged fuel storage area at the harbor in Hodeidah, a city on the Red Sea.

    An analysis of satellite imagery from Planet by the Dutch peace organization PAX showed at least 33 destroyed oil storage tankers, said Wim Zwijnenburg, a project leader with the organization.

    “We expect [to find] more damage as not all storage tanks are visible because of heavy smoke” from the fire and burning fuel, Zwijnenburg said.

    Knesset hears [fictitious] accounts of Hamas rape, infanticide from “casualty identification unit”

    Israel Hayom reports: In a chilling testimony before Knesset, Rabbi Moshe Dickstein, who served as a reservist in the IDF’s Southern Command, provided disturbing details of the alleged atrocities committed by Hamas members during the October 7 attack on Israeli communities.

    NOTE: Israel has disseminated numerous atrocity stories about the October 7th attack that have since been proven untrue. In addition, an unknown but significant number of the Israeli soldiers and civilians killed on October 7 were shown to have been killed by Israeli fire. The Israeli military has also disseminated false stories about civilians captured.

    “The first body we came across was an overturned stroller. Inside the stroller was a baby, and his head was thrown aside with a knife in it. The woman we found, presumably the mother, was lying on the couch with blood flowing from her private area. We were told to collect only the bodies. In the next stage, they would come to clean up the blood and everything else,” Rabbi Dickstein said, choking back tears.

    The rabbi continued with the difficult [and fabricated] descriptions: “And so we went from house to house and found women lying on the floor with legs spread, it’s indescribable. Another house and another house, then also in the field. They cut off men’s genitals, and we found women with severed breasts. A pregnant woman with her belly opened up to reveal the umbilical cord and the baby with a knife in its body.”

    NOTE: There is zero evidence that any of these alleged incidents actually occurred. Israeli media and others have thoroughly debunked these and similar stories months ago.



    Colonists break into Jerusalem’s Aqsa Mosque, perform Talmudic rituals

    WAFA reports: Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli police, Monday morning broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem.

    Eyewitnesses said that dozens of colonists entered the holy site in groups, conducted provocative tours throughout the compound, and performed Talmudic rituals.

    During the incursion, Israeli police imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers to the mosque.

    Additionally, Israeli police intensified the restrictions at the gates of the Old City, effectively turning the area into a military zone.

    Ahistorical statement by Speaker Johnson: Supporting Israel Is One of America’s ‘Founding Principles’

    Antiwar reports: House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) described US support for Israel as one of America’s “founding principles” during a speech at an event hosted by the Republican Jewish Committee on July 18.

    “It is an important principle that America and Israel stand together resolutely. That is part of who we are as a country. It’s one of our founding principles. I believe that we maintain peace through strength, and I think that the relationship with Israel is essential to who we are as Americans,” Johnson said.

    Since the modern state of Israel was created in 1948, it’s unclear what Johnson meant when he said the US-Israel relationship is a “founding principle.” The most well-known Founding Fathers would also disagree with Johnson since they strongly warned against permanent alliances and “attachments” to other nations.

    In his farewell address in 1796, George Washington said, “A passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter, without adequate inducement or justification.”

    Johnson also threatened Democratic lawmakers with possible arrest if they protest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s address to Congress, which is scheduled for this Thursday.

    “There’s a number of Democrats in the House who have said they are going to boycott the event, and then some others are gonna protest,” he said. “We’re gonna have extra sergeants at arms on the floor, and if anybody gets out of hand the Speaker of the House will bang the gavel. We’re gonna arrest people if we have to do it. We’re gonna get the message out.”

    Ha’aretz reports: The Democratic Majority for Israel has wholeheartedly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the party’s nomination for the upcoming presidential election.

    “We proudly endorsed Kamala Harris as part of the Biden-Harris ticket in 2020 and again in 2024. Since then, the Vice President has helped lead the most pro-Israel administration in American history, standing shoulder to shoulder with Israel as it has faced unprecedented attacks on its homeland and people,” said DMFI President & CEO Mark Mellman.

    Ha’aretz reports: The Republican Jewish Coalition has described as “disgraceful” what it described as “Kamala Harris’ first official act as the presumptive Democratic nominee for President of the United States […] to snub the leader of America’s key strategic ally, the Jewish state. Kamala Harris would be a total disaster for the US-Israel relationship,” the RJC said.

    Prior to Biden’s withdrawal from the presidential race, Harris was scheduled to be on the road campaigning for him during Netanyahu’s address to Congress. She was also supposed to meet with the Israeli prime minister, though it remains unclear if this meeting will still occur.

    Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s running mate and the Republican senator from Ohio, J.D. Vance, has opted to hit the campaign trail rather than attending Netanyahu’s speech. It remains unclear whether he or Trump will speak or meet with the Israeli prime minister during his U.S. visit.


    Trump’s Ambassador to Israel David Friedman: VP Harris ‘never expressed sympathy for the Israelis suffering from Hamas’

    Ha’aretz reports: Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman said that Vice President and 2024 Presidential candidate Kamala Harris “has never expressed sympathy for the Israelis suffering from Hamas’ barbarism with the same fervor that she exhibits when speaking of Palestinian suffering.”

    He continued criticizing Harris, saying, “she wrongly accused Israel of overseeing a famine in Gaza, proven to be totally false. She said that Palestinians in Rafah ‘had no place to go’ just before 900,000 were successfully evacuated in a week. Apart from that, she plainly is not up to the task of protecting Americans from the growing threats around the world — threats that will intensify further if our enemies see her campaign gaining strength.”

    Palestinian death toll from October 7 – July 22: at least 39,668* (39,090 in Gaza* – 11,445 women (30%), 16,034 children as of June 17. [The Ministry’s figures have been contested by the Israeli authorities, although they have been accepted as accurate by Israeli intelligence services, the UN, and WHO. These data are supported by independent analyses, comparing changes in the number of deaths of UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff with those reported by the Ministry, which found claims of data fabrication implausible.]

    NOTE: It is unknown at this time how many of the deaths and injuries in Israel on October 7 were caused by Israeli soldiers.

    *Previously, IAK did not include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile was being disputed. However, given that much evidence points to Israel as the culprit, Israel had previously bombed the hospital and has attacked many others, Israel is prohibiting outside experts from investigating the scene, and since the UN and other agencies are including the deaths from the attack in their cumulative totals, if Americans knew is now also doing so.**

    Euro-Med Monitor reports that Gaza’s elderly are dying at an alarmingly high rate. The majority die at home and are buried either close to their residences or in makeshift graves dispersed across the Strip. There are currently more than 140 such cemeteries. Additionally, according to Euromed, thousands have died from starvation, malnourishment, and inadequate medical care; these are considered indirect victims as they were not registered in hospitals.

    † For most of the conflict, women and children accounted for about 70% of deaths in Gaza, with children making up a little over 40% of those killed, according to official statistics.

At least 77 deaths and 200 wounded have been reported in the aftermath of the attacks. Ha’aretz reports that the death toll from this operation has risen to 89, that 68 are reported missing, and 263 more people were injured. 13 houses in the city were reportedly directly targeted. Authorities at Nasser Medical Complex appealed for urgent blood donations, saying it faces a shortage of blood units, “which poses a serious threat to the lives of the sick and injured in light of the ongoing massacres carried out by the occupation forces against the innocent and civilians.” “The IDF is about to forcefully operate against the terror organizations and therefore calls on the remaining population left in the eastern neighborhoods of Khan Younis to temporarily evacuate to the adjusted humanitarian area in Al-Mawasi,” the Israeli military said in a statement on Monday morning. NOTE: The use of the word “terrorist” for a group that resists occupation and oppression is a political, not fact-based choice. In reality, international law supports the efforts of resistance groups against an occupying power, the UN extending that right to the point of armed resistance. Israeli Army Radio reported that Monday’s air raids in Khan Younis are the most violent since the end of the military operation in the city earlier this year. Local reports say many victims are still under the rubble and scattered along the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them due to the violent and continuous shelling. AL JAZEERA ADDS: Many fleeing Palestinians are hesitant to join the swelling tent camps in al-Mawasi, declared a humanitarian zone in May, after a recent attack on the area killed at least 92 people and wounded more than 300, according to figures from the Health Ministry. That attack caused global outrage. OCHA ADDS: The new evacuation order by the Israeli military encompasses about 8.7 square kilometres (3.4 square miles) in the so-called “humanitarian zone” in Al Mawasi area of Khan Younis decreases the area of the zone by nearly 15 per cent. Gaza: Israeli army admits abandoning Palestinian man with Down syndrome Middle East Eye reports: The Israeli army has admitted that a Palestinian man with Down syndrome who died after being attacked and injured by an army dog was abandoned by its soldiers. The army’s admission comes two weeks after Middle East Eye originally reported on the death of Muhammed Bhar following a raid by Israeli soldiers on his family home in eastern Gaza City’s Shujaiya neighborhood on 3 July. His family told MEE they had been forced at gunpoint to leave behind the 24-year-old after he was mauled by the dog. Relatives described Muhammed as “like a one-year-old”, and said he needed help eating. Family members contacted the Red Cross daily for a week, pleading for Muhammed’s release or medical treatment, but were told that the Israeli army was not cooperating. After a week, and once Israeli troops withdrew from Shujaiya, they returned to find his decomposing body at their home. An Israeli spokesperson said, “The IDF regrets the harm to civilians during the fighting.” Number of journalists killed in Gaza rises to 163 The Israeli army struck a tent sheltering journalists in Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, central Gaza on Monday . At least one person, journalist Haydar Ibrahim al-Msaddar, was killed while several others were wounded and suffered serious injuries. Msaddar was a media researcher and a specialist in media affairs, according to local authorities. According to his friend and fellow journalist Islam Bader, Msaddar had specialized in the study of propaganda and public opinion. “All the contents in the tent are journalistic equipment,” Youssef al-Hindi, a rescue worker who attended the scene after hearing the explosion, told Middle East Eye. Holding up a press helmet he found at the scene, Hindi said that he believes the journalists’ tent was intentionally targeted. Khalil al-Dakran, a doctor at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, agreed. It was the second time a tent in the grounds of the hospital had been hit, he said. The movement of the convoy was coordinated and approved by the Israeli authorities. “One vehicle received at least five bullets while waiting just ahead of the Israeli Forces’ checkpoint south of Wadi Gaza,” Lazzarini said on X. “The car was severely damaged, it left the convoy. The teams re-assembled & finally reached Gaza City.” He concluded saying that “those responsible must be held accountable.” Medical Threat: Water and Garbage in Gaza A new report by PAX, an international NGO, highlights the growing public health risks of solid waste exposure in Gaza due to the collapse of the waste management system and blocked access to designated landfills by Israeli forces. The report especially highlighted the potential medical threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), whereby patients in conflict areas fail to respond to antibiotic treatments, which health experts have linked to the degradation and damage of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure as well as to heavy-metal exposure including munition remnants. The environmental consequences of the crisis are also enormous, according to the report, as they can render Gaza wholly uninhabitable and cause grave ecosystem and public health problems in the overall region due to the contamination of agricultural lands and the aquifer and the possible penetration of toxic substances into the food chain. Israel’s vaccination campaign occurs after an official announcement issued by the Palestinian health ministry said it discovered the spread of the poliovirus in the wastewater in the war-torn, besieged Gaza Strip. “The coastal enclave has been suffering from the lack of medicine and even vaccines that would be enough for the local people to avoid the spread of the poliovirus,” said sources. Meanwhile, Israel claimed “it sent about 300,000 polio vaccines to Gaza in cooperation with international organizations since the beginning of the war […] which is enough for more than a million citizens in Gaza.” “All the Israeli claims are not true […] it seems that the Israeli authorities decided to kill all the Palestinians in Gaza, either through the strikes or diseases and starvation,” Ismail Thawabta, the director of the Palestinian government media office in Gaza, remarked to TNA. HA’ARETZ ADDS: The IDF stresses that the soldiers not make any use of the local Gazan water system, and that the army regularly brings in large quantities of water from Israel, including millions of bottles of water for drinking and bathing, and tons of ice, as well as field showers, soap and disinfectant wipes. According to a recent Lancet study, the death toll in Gaza could be at least 186,000 dead due to direct and indirect impacts of Israel’s war on Gaza. Embed from Getty Images Knesset passes bills to close UNRWA, label it ‘terrorist organization’ Middle East Eye reports: Israel’s parliament has passed three bills in their first readings to close the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) and designate it a “terrorist organization”. The first bill prohibits UNRWA from operating any mission, providing any service or conducting any activity on Israeli territory. It was passed 58-9, The Times of Israel newspaper reported. The second bill was approved 63-9 and calls for stripping UNRWA personnel of their legal immunities and privileges offered to UN staff in Israel. The third bill calls for designating the UN agency as a “terrorist organization” and requires Israel to cut ties with it. It was passed by a 50-10 vote. The three bills will now go to the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee for further deliberation. They will require two more readings to become effective. Israel has lobbied hard to have UNRWA closed, especially since it began its war on Gaza in October. On March 10, Hamas had announced that the two hostages had been killed, but Israeli officials chose to assume the announcement was a bluff, and did not believe it. Now, based on “new, unspecified intelligence,” they have accepted their deaths as fact. The IDF did not disclose the exact circumstances of the hostages’ deaths, but did admit it is likely that they were mistakenly killed by Israeli forces. NOTE: Hamas offered a prisoner swap immediately after October 7th, but Israel rejected it. This is a good sign,” Netanyahu told the families on Monday in Washington, where was expected to meet US President Joe Biden later this week after making an address to Congress. Efforts to reach a Gaza ceasefire deal, outlined by Biden in May and mediated by Egypt and Qatar, have gained momentum over the past month. On Friday, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said negotiators were “driving toward the goal line.” Ruby Chen, father of dual US-Israeli citizen Itai Chen, a soldier whose body is being held in Gaza, was one of the family members who met with Netanyahu. “He did say that conditions were ripening but I’m taking that with a pinch of salt,” Chen told Israeli Army Radio. Embed from Getty Images Israel’s West Bank Assault Sparks 250% Surge in Killings of Palestinian Kids Common Dreams reports: Three days after the International Court of Justice issued an advisory opinion stating that Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and Gaza is unlawful, the United Nations children’s rights agency said that after decades of being “exposed to horrific violence,” the number of children who have been killed in the West Bank since last October has skyrocketed. Since Israel began its bombardment of the Palestinian territories nearly 10 months ago, 143 Palestinian children have been killed in the West Bank, according to the U.N. Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The number represents a 250% increase compared to the nine months preceding October 7th. “The situation has deteriorated significantly, coinciding with the escalation of hostilities inside Gaza,” said Catherine Russell, executive director of UNICEF. “We are seeing frequent allegations of Palestinian children being detained on their way home from school, or shot while walking on the streets. The violence needs to stop now.” Some of the killings of children in the West Bank over the last 10 months have received international attention, like the Israeli forces’ shooting of two children, Basil Suleiman Abu al-Wafa and Adam Samer al-Ghoul, during a raid on the Jenin refugee camp in November. Al-Ghoul, who was nine, was shown on CCTV footage trying to run away from IDF soldiers when he was gunned down. Since October, two Israeli children have been killed in fighting the West Bank, said UNICEF. In addition, an unknown but significant number of the Israeli soldiers and civilians killed on October 7 were shown to have been killed by Israeli fire. The Israeli military has also disseminated false stories about civilians captured. Inside the stroller was a baby, and his head was thrown aside with a knife in it. The woman we found, presumably the mother, was lying on the couch with blood flowing from her private area. The rabbi continued with the difficult [and fabricated] descriptions: “And so we went from house to house and found women lying on the floor with legs spread, it’s indescribable. Another house and another house, then also in the field. They cut off men’s genitals, and we found women with severed breasts. A pregnant woman with her belly opened up to reveal the umbilical cord and the baby with a knife in its body.” NOTE: There is zero evidence that any of these alleged incidents actually occurred. Colonists break into Jerusalem’s Aqsa Mosque, perform Talmudic rituals WAFA reports: Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli police, Monday morning broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem. Eyewitnesses said that dozens of colonists entered the holy site in groups, conducted provocative tours throughout the compound, and performed Talmudic rituals. During the incursion, Israeli police imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshippers to the mosque. Additionally, Israeli police intensified the restrictions at the gates of the Old City, effectively turning the area into a military zone. Ahistorical statement by Speaker Johnson: Supporting Israel Is One of America’s ‘Founding Principles’ Antiwar reports: House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) described US support for Israel as one of America’s “founding principles” during a speech at an event hosted by the Republican Jewish Committee on July 18. “It is an important principle that America and Israel stand together resolutely. That is part of who we are as a country. It’s one of our founding principles. I believe that we maintain peace through strength, and I think that the relationship with Israel is essential to who we are as Americans,” Johnson said.   • ‘I’m a Zionist’: Biden’s 50-year political career defined by ironclad support for Israel

    Almost three weeks after his disastrous televised debate performance, Joe Biden announced that he would not run for a second term as the president of the United States.

    In a letter to "My Fellow Americans", dated July 21, Biden expressed that, while serving as president has been "the greatest honor of my life," he now believes that "stepping down is in the best interest of my party and the country."

    In a follow-up post on X (formerly Twitter), the Democratic president expressed his "full support and endorsement" for vice president Kamala Harris as the Democratic nominee.

    "Democrats, it’s time to unite and defeat (Donald) Trump," he wrote. "Let’s do this."

    He also announced plans to address the nation later in the week to elaborate on his decision.

    While it appeared inevitable that Biden would withdraw from the race given his failing physical and mental health, many Democrats expressed relief over the decision.

    On the other hand, Republicans, who had centered their campaign on Biden, projecting him as a weak candidate who cannot even speak or walk properly, now have to look at Plan B.

    It’s still unclear whether Biden will continue to be the president until the November general election or quit but commentators are already discussing his political legacy.

    His most significant foreign policy legacy is tied to Gaza. His administration will be remembered for its unwavering support for Israel’s genocidal war against Gaza, which has already claimed more than 39,000 lives, most of them children and women.

    Biden’s ironclad support for Israel was evident even before he took office. However, since October 2023, he has gone out of his way to not only support but sponsor the war against Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip.

    “You don’t have to be Jewish to be a Zionist. I consider myself a Zionist. Without Israel, no Jew in the world is safe,” he declared a few months ago.

    As someone proud to call himself a 'Zionist,' Biden appeared determined to remain true to his commitment to Israel that goes back more than half a century.

    He considered his meeting with the head of the Israeli regime, Golda Meir, in 1973 as "one of the most consequential" of his life.

    As a young senator, Biden returned from his visit to the occupied Palestinian territories so inspired that he began to identify as a "Zionist," a fervent commitment he reiterated publicly on numerous occasions, always reiterating, "I don't believe you have to be a Jew to be a Zionist."

    In June 1982, he supported Menachem Begin's regime in its invasion of Lebanon, despite the significant civilian casualties that resulted from it.

    His support was so strong and enthusiastic that many had to remind him that the warring parties were obligated to protect women and children.

    Four years later, Biden passionately defended the substantial military aid to Israel in US Congress, terming it the “best $3 billion investment” the US had made.

    The US military has dismantled its floating "aid" pier off the coast of Gaza which observers believe was meant to facilitate the Israeli genocide instead of delivering aid.
    “If Israel didn't exist, the United States would have to create one to safeguard its interests in the region," he said at the time, words that have been registered in the annals of history.

    In October 1995, Senator Biden cast his vote in favor of a Congressional resolution to relocate the US embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds.

    Upon taking office in 2021, President Biden chose not to reverse Donald Trump's decision to relocate the US embassy to occupied Jerusalem al-Quds, a move enacted in 2018, nor to reopen the consulate in the occupied East Jerusalem, which had previously served as the US representation to the Palestinians.

    Biden, like his megalomaniac Republican predecessor, also saw the so-called “Iranian threat,” rather than the Palestinian issue, as the primary challenge in the West Asia region.

    As international policy expert Bruno Maçaes recently pointed out, the Biden administration has “systematically avoided any reference to international law or human rights, instead emphasizing Israel as a close partner.”

    “To a partner, much is permitted, including the deliberate destruction of hospitals and schools,” he wrote, pointing to the US complicity in Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.

    “When Russia conducted similar attacks in Ukraine, Blinken and Kirby condemned them as barbaric. Kirby described attacks on playgrounds, schools, and hospitals as ‘utter depravity.’ However, these remarks were directed at Russia, not Israel. When asked about what the Biden administration would do if Israel continued committing war crimes, the response was strikingly straightforward: ‘We will continue to support it.’”

    Biden escalated his support for the Zionist colonial actions in Gaza to extreme levels.

    In a fundraising event, he candidly stated, “We are not going to do a damn thing other than protect Israel. Not a single thing.”

    This explicit endorsement of the genocidal campaign in Gaza has led the president to perform significant rhetorical gymnastics to justify his unjustified stance.

    A few months ago, Biden publicly declared that “Israel should not go into Rafah,” the border town with Egypt housing over a million Palestinians.

    However, when it became clear that Israeli forces had indeed invaded Rafah, Biden attempted to downplay the situation by stating that the soldiers had not “entered the city center.”

    The Biden administration has been characterized by granting Israel total freedom to bombard and destroy lives and infrastructure in Gaza and across the occupied Palestinian territories.

    International Court of Justice (ICJ) this week ruled that Israel’s occupation of Palestine constitutes illegal apartheid, which also serves as a devastating critique of US policy.

    Twelve former US officials have denounced Biden’s policies on Gaza as “a failure and a threat” to the country’s national security.
    It is noteworthy that Biden also dismissed the request by Karim Khan, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), for the arrest of Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu and military affairs minister Yoav Gallant on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

    Biden’s refusal to adhere to international law has facilitated the intensification of Israel's illegal military occupation. The latest advisory opinion from the ICJ, published on Friday, emphasizes that all states have a legal obligation "not to offer aid or assistance to maintain the situation" created by Israel’s denial of Palestinian rights.

    Biden’s view on Palestine reflects a classic Orientalist perspective. This is evident from his statement during the so-called "Holocaust Remembrance Week," where he claimed that Hamas is "driven by an ancient desire to eliminate the Jewish people from the face of the earth."

    He distorted history and reinforced the Zionist narrative that seeks to obscure the reality of Israel's colonial occupation of Palestine, instead portraying it as a supposed "ancient Muslim enmity against Jews."

    The issue with such statements is that they fail to justify how Hamas, a resistance group founded in Gaza in 1987 in response to Zionist occupation and settlement colonialism, could be responsible for the alleged “ancient hatred” toward Jews in the region.

    The only way to interpret these statements is that they serve as a megaphone for the Zionist discourse, which attempts to present itself as an innocent victim, a victim that is allowed to bomb four countries in one day and get away with it.

    Biden and his administration have stood by Israel throughout the genocide in Gaza, using their veto power to prevent any ceasefire, despite public statements to the contrary.

    The United States vetoed up to three distinct ceasefire resolutions in the UN Security Council and rejected two proposals in the UN General Assembly.

    The US government spearheaded the movement to suspend funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), the main aid organization in Gaza, which the Knesset has declared a “terrorist organization.”

    Israel launched a smear campaign against UNRWA, baselessly accusing it of being a front for Hamas, with the support of American media such as The New York Times, and without any challenge from the US administration regarding the disinformation campaign.

    It’s clear that the United States has been a direct accomplice in the Israeli genocide in Gaza. The country has been actively involved in the slaughter, bombings, and attacks on defenseless civilians and has led the international effort to cut funding to the most vital aid organization in Gaza.

    However, to portray Biden as a messiah, just a few weeks ago, several Western media outlets reported that Biden was "losing patience with Netanyahu."

    As political science professor Amal Saad explained in an interview, "The United States has tried to achieve politically what Israel has not achieved militarily."

    In other words, the Biden administration and Israel share the same political agenda for Palestine. The only difference lies in how they communicate this agenda to their respective publics.

However, to portray Biden as a messiah, just a few weeks ago, several Western media outlets reported that Biden was "losing patience with Netanyahu."     The Chinese leadership has put forward a comprehensive plan aimed at sustaining the country’s economic growth and national security for the next five years.

    “China is a remarkable example of a country, whose government drafts five-year plans covering development of rural land, tax reform, environmental protection, national security, the fight against corruption, and cultural development,” geoeconomic and geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar tells Sputnik.

    Hong Kong, one of China’s economic locomotives, is set to play a particular role in the effort. Reinvented for 21st century Eurasia integration, the city has all it takes to profit as a key node of the Greater Bay Area, the southern hub propelling China to economic superpower status, Escobar points out.

    “The Western mantra that China’s economy is struggling to stabilize may be debatable,” the geopolitical analyst says. “5th columnists and outright Sinophobes across the West have gone bonkers on the current slowdown of the Chinese economy – complete with slumps in the financial and property fronts – running in parallel to all hybrid war strands of Chinese containment emanating from Washington,” he notes.
