  • I must say I'm impressed with the Development Team. I used the #Ideas option to the right of your #Homefeed and made quite a few suggestions for #improvements and new #features in the last couple of days. Within 24 hours of submitting them, they were all added to the list and two were implemented right away.

    The latest #update two days after my suggestions contains two of the changes I had asked for. I have never had this level of synergy on any other site ever. Anywhere else this would have taken months, if at all. I am quite proud to be a member of the #SoMeeCommunity.

    Things are coming together nicely and the #UserInterface has really improved by leaps and bounds in just the last week. So, you matter as do your ideas. Do not hesitate to communicate them to staff, so we can have everything tip top when the masses come.

  • Wow, we already have another SoMee Update. They 86'd the Perception feature, which didn't work, so good call. If it was even close to accurate, I think I'd actually like it. As of now it was just annoying. And... Now sharing your post to the Public is the default on Monetized Posts, so you won't forget to set it.

    If you'd like to check them out yourself, just scroll to the bottom of the Panel on the left and choose Forums or for mobile, tap the hamburger menu in the upper left and scroll down to the bottom of the list.

    Site Speed Adjustment: 

    Optimized several loading routes so that we are not having longer page loading time, and content loading time
    Twitter Twemojis were having issues, as MaxCDN shut down on 12/31/2022, so we had to move that to Cloudflare CDN, which helped speed up site loading as well


    Newsfeed Speed Adjustment

    We have modified our scripts to pull data from our cache table instead of directly from the blockchain for pricing information 
    This speeds up the loading of the news feed quite a bit (makes initial content paint only 1.3 seconds instead of 8)
    Data is updated whenever people pull pricing information by clicking on the $
    Data is updated when the backend services update all the pricing information on the schedule
    Data is updated roughly every 30 seconds when our caching service (REDIS) is invalidated


    Pricing Work

    We are still working on some pricing updates and will update you all once done. The goal is to respond almost live to updates from Hive Engine and Hive when external actions take place ;)
    process right now is almost done for hive/hive engine vote/comment/reply data, so will be testing when done


    Earnings Data Updated

    Earnings data on the wallet/earnings link will update to show your ACCOUNT earnings instead of AUTHOR earnings only; this should take into account both your curation and author rewards
    We are still working on fully sorting that grid, as it has to pull from two data sources and merge them, not an easy task given each column has different info ;P


    Newsletter Management

    Worked on adding users who opt into our newsletter from the homepage to our master newsletter list. 
    Once we send those out, you can start to manage your settings


    Sign In Redirects

    For Packages, and some other functions, if you are not signed in, it'll now redirect you back to those pages AFTER you sign in, which should help keep y'all on the right pages

    This section is where you'll see the total number of #Threads, Replies to the threads and members. While this is labeled Forum Statistics, I believe the #Members total is for the site as a whole since the beginning. So, this does not represent the total number of accounts using the current iteration of #SoMee.

    I signed up in the very beginning and received an email to check out the new site. This means SoMee has retained/saved the accounts of all the users who have ever signed up and is contacting them through email in an attempt bring them back. I had my account waiting for me. All I had to do was change my password.

    That being said, if you use the current number and compare it to the new total daily, weekly, monthly or any time period you want, you can keep track of the new account numbers being created currently. For those of us wanting to see SoMee succeed, this statistic is the most important one to gauge our growth. For example- last week we saw 102 new accounts created. Couple this with the 'Who's Online" widget and we can watch SoMee grow before our eyes.
