Humans have passed through many stages throughout existence and this stage is another phase in the history of humans which have made us digitalized and powerful. Everything could be accomplished with just a phone, that's how far technology has gotten us.

Apps are one important aspect in the era of technological development as it helps make things very much easier, faster, as well as it entertains us and help us meet new people. Through apps, we could order things only while sitting on our couch, we could sponsor anything of our choice and we could work from home, just as how hive have made it easier for us.

Before I go into answering the first question of this contest, I am a person who loves charity. Irrespective of how bad I can be, I don't play with helping others in any way I can and that's why I am a nurse. Nurses are great, but "with great power comes great responsibility."

    WHAT APP WILL YOU CREATE?

If I were to create an app, I will create an app which will be used for affiliating the importance of charity and in that app, there will be a space for charitable donations.
    Yeah

    WHY THAT PARTICULAR APP?

    Img src
I have been opportuned to live in the northern and eastern part of Nigeria my country and well, from the things I have seen so far, I wouldn't want the nation to continue like that. There was a day I was walking through the streets of Jabi in Abuja Nigeria, the homeless people I saw there made me motivated to become great in life. Not that I am dodging from being like them, but because I want to help being out some of those persons from the streets, and impact my values and views about charity in them, so that they can carry on with it and still bring other persons from the streets and still impact that same value to them and so on.
On this note, charity is hard these days because of distance, and some other factor. However, making use of the importance of technology, donations could reach even the deepest forest through this app and many people will be happy and lead a good life filled with joy. Charity could be in any form, but financial charity backed up with teaching a new skill, could take a person to the farthest extent there is.

WHAT GOOD WILL THE APP DO?

This app will go on its way to fund diverse charity organizations into moving and helping many unprivileged people out there.

    Img src
In my country, the rate of unemployment is as high as the sands of the beach, but with this app, both skills and financial charity could be rendered to many people out there, thus reducing the rate of corruption and joblessness, thereby increasing the rate of self employment and employment as a whole.
In conclusion, Charity could help uplift a nation, according to Darrman, "the kindness you out into the world, has a way of returning to you" and as such, putting a little kindness into this world, will help in its way to elevate the positivity in a persons heart, thereby reducing future negativities.
    Thank you for reading through.

  • The trustworthiness of Bitcoin, a decentralized digital currency, is a complex topic that warrants careful analysis. To evaluate whether one would still trust Bitcoin if it were to experience a drastic crash in value, such as plummeting to $300, it is essential to consider various factors, including the underlying technology, historical context, market dynamics, and individual perspectives.
    Fundamental Technology:
Bitcoin is built on blockchain technology, which provides transparency, immutability, and security. The technology's integrity remains intact irrespective of short-term price fluctuations. Supporters of Bitcoin argue that its underlying technology remains robust even during price crashes, reinforcing their trust in the long-term viability of the cryptocurrency.
    Historical Perspective:
Bitcoin has witnessed multiple price crashes throughout its existence. Notably, the cryptocurrency experienced a significant decline from its all-time high in late 2017 to a low point in early 2019. Despite this decline, Bitcoin has shown resilience and a propensity to recover and reach new heights. Past recoveries and subsequent price appreciation may influence individuals' trust in Bitcoin, as they perceive such crashes as temporary setbacks.
    Market Dynamics:
Bitcoin's market dynamics are influenced by various factors, including supply and demand, investor sentiment, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic conditions. Sudden drops in price can be triggered by factors such as negative news, regulatory uncertainty, or market manipulation. Analyzing the specific reasons behind a crash to $300 is crucial for assessing the trustworthiness of Bitcoin. If the crash is driven by market manipulation or temporary external factors, individuals may maintain trust in Bitcoin's long-term potential.
    Risk Tolerance and Investment Strategy:
An individual's trust in Bitcoin during a $300 crash will depend on their risk tolerance and investment strategy. Those with higher risk tolerance and a long-term investment horizon might see the crash as an opportunity to accumulate Bitcoin at a discounted price, believing in its eventual recovery. Conversely, individuals with lower risk tolerance or short-term investment goals might lose trust in Bitcoin and perceive it as a highly volatile and unreliable asset.
    Fundamental Value and Adoption:
Bitcoin's trustworthiness is also influenced by its fundamental value and adoption. Supporters argue that Bitcoin's scarcity, decentralized nature, and potential for disruption in traditional finance provide a solid foundation for trust, irrespective of short-term price fluctuations. Additionally, the growing adoption of Bitcoin by individuals, institutions, and governments can reinforce trust in the cryptocurrency's long-term potential, even in the face of a price crash.
    Conclusion:
Determining whether one would still trust Bitcoin if it crashed to $300 is a subjective decision influenced by various factors. While price crashes can test investor confidence, it is crucial to assess the underlying technology, historical patterns, market dynamics, risk tolerance, and individual investment strategies. Bitcoin's long-term potential, fundamental value, and adoption rates also play a significant role in shaping trust. Ultimately, each individual must carefully evaluate these factors to make an informed decision about their trust in Bitcoin during periods of extreme price volatility.

  • I had the opportunity to attend a coffee and cars event, where I stumbled upon an interesting observation. It became evident that most people were captivated by the impressive vehicles on display, often overlooking the captivating stories of the individuals who had worked hard to achieve their dreams. Contrarily, I found myself more intrigued by the mindset and personal growth of these individuals rather than the cars themselves. This experience highlighted the importance of looking beyond material possessions and discovering the lessons hidden within the journeys of successful entrepreneurs.

I conducted several interviews with the exotic car owners and here is what I learned.

    Passion and Purpose:
Successful individuals, regardless of their field, have a deep passion for what they do. They have discovered their purpose and align their actions with it. Finding your passion and understanding your purpose can provide the motivation and drive needed to excel in any endeavor.

    Resilience and Persistence:
Success is often accompanied by setbacks and challenges. Successful individuals demonstrate resilience and persistence, refusing to give up in the face of adversity. They view failures as learning opportunities and use them to fuel their growth. Cultivating resilience and perseverance can help us navigate the ups and downs of life and achieve our goals.

    Continuous Learning:
Lifelong learning is a hallmark of successful individuals. They understand the importance of personal and professional development. They actively seek new knowledge, skills, and experiences to broaden their horizons and adapt to changing circumstances.

    Risk-Taking and Innovation:
Successful individuals are willing to step outside their comfort zones and take calculated risks. They embrace innovation and seek out new opportunities for growth and improvement. By embracing calculated risks and fostering a mindset of innovation, we can discover new paths to success and find unique solutions to challenges.

    Building a Strong Network:
Successful individuals recognize the power of building a strong network of relationships. They surround themselves with supportive and like-minded individuals who inspire and challenge them. Building connections with mentors, peers, and experts in their field provides valuable insights, opportunities, and support throughout their journey.

    Adaptability and Flexibility:
Adaptability is a key trait of successful individuals. They understand that change is inevitable, and they embrace it rather than resisting it. They remain flexible and open-minded, constantly adjusting their strategies and approaches to align with evolving circumstances.

Attending the coffee and cars event provided a unique perspective on self-discovery. While many attendees focused on the cars themselves, I realized that the true essence lay in the stories and mindsets of the individuals behind those vehicles.

  • This afternoon at the Showgrounds in Lusaka, we were delighted to officially hand over 156 vehicles under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to facilitate service delivery to our people in all constituencies across Zambia.

In attendance were stakeholders from a cross section of society. Our government has taken deliberate steps towards economic and social transformation to achieve equitable development in all the 10 provinces in Zambia, regardless of political affiliation. This is why we increased CDF from K1.6m to K28.3m per year, that is simultaneously disbursed to every constituency every year without fail.

We are encouraged to see that now, through CDF, students have desks and this number is increasing daily. In addition, vulnerable pupils are attending school, the youth are accessing life skills and co-operatives have been empowered to enhance people’s livelihoods.

Our guiding principle is people-centred development that ensures access to basic needs for all Zambians in all the corners of our country, so we urged the constituencies to use these vehicles for their intended purpose, to monitor and evaluate local projects because these benefit the whole community, whom we promised to serve.

  • We held a lively press briefing to fulfill our commitment of regularly engaging with fellow citizens through the media, to discuss matters affecting our nation in various aspects. During the briefing, we reviewed our progress since assuming government leadership, focusing on law and order, the economy, cost of living, healthcare, mining, the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), and agriculture, among other issues.

When we assumed government, our top priority was to ensure stability by addressing lawlessness in public places, intensifying the fight against corruption, and establishing the Economic and Financial Crimes Court. We also increased financial support to the judicial system. Recognizing that law and order is fundamental to our economic growth agenda, we have achieved significant improvements in this area.

Moving forward, we pursued our economic agenda by implementing measures to reduce inflation and stabilize interest and exchange rates. In collaboration with our international partners, we are making progress in the debt restructuring process.

We are aware of the hardships our citizens are facing due to the restoration of a collapsed economy. To alleviate these challenges, we have increased social cash transfers, implemented free education for all, introduced partial withdrawals from the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA), reinstated meal allowances for students in public universities, and ensured equitable distribution of enhanced CDF funds to all constituencies in Zambia.

While we acknowledge the criticism from our colleagues in the opposition, we challenge them to provide alternative solutions to the tangible benefits we have delivered, such as eliminating lawlessness and violence, meal allowances for students, 100% allowances for our armed forces in peacekeeping missions abroad, NAPSA partial withdrawals, marketeer loans, social cash transfers, the increased CDF and the employment of over 41,000 Healthcare workers and Teachers respectively, among many other achievements.

We are committed to continuing our engagement with you, our citizens, through future media conferences.

Our government is committed to promoting economic development in order to attract increased foreign investment, which in turn, will generate employment opportunities for our citizens.

This post will serve as a medium for a contest titled "losing close friends."

Before I proceed with this post, I will like to thank boss @dlmmqb because if not for him, I will not be able to make this post as he's the one who helped me with my low RC level. Thanks to everyone for their vocal and motivational support in hivelearners, I really appreciate.

*So, let's get to the content shall we?*
The act of keeping friends is one that needs to be met by everyone in other to maintain a good mental health and social lifestyle. Developmentally speaking, an individual subconciously makes friends everywhere they go and this act is only but natural and important for that given individual as it helps to elevate mental health to a good peak. However, one thing I have noticed personally in life is that the more a person grows, he/she tends to forget about their old friends. This happen due to one reason or another and sometimes, it happens naturally without any reason.

WE ALL HAVE THOSE FRIENDS THAT WE WERE REALLY CLOSE TO DURING CHILDHOOD, BUT EVENTUALLY LOST DUE TO ONE REASON OR THE OTHER. WHAT HAPPENED?

![New York Knicks Basketball GIF by NBA](https://media2.giphy.com/media/YnBntKOgnUSBkV7bQH/200.gif)
I use to have a lot of friends before I moved to the east. I grew up in the north, Kaduna state Nigeria to be precise and life there was one I always wished for irrespective of the fact that we had little as of then.

I had real friends from he north who will always be there for me no matter what. Their names are Thank God, D-boy, Samson, onoja, Nwokeoma, and many of them I can't finish listing. These people made life memorable for me and I really appreciate it but it was too bad I lost my friends.

One day, my mom gathered I and my brothers and told us that we will relocate to the east based on the insecurity of the north as of then as well as we didn't have much to fend for our selves. She said that we needed to know where we came from so that we could locate and go back to our source if anything happened. Being a teenager then,I didn't want to leave my friends and I insisted on staying back with my friends but mom being mom, refused, she only told I and my brothers to start saying our goodbyes before it was too late and we reluctantly agreed.

When the time for us to travel came, I was bittered because I didn't have a phone to collect their phone numbers and that was how I lost both physical and digital communication with my beloved friends.

    WHERE ARE THEY NOW

    ![](https://images.ecency.com/DQmXT57tRCUc8rfXYXfH4r62XqYF9Rincyf8wjZbnvMQ6mz/pexels_photo_3800149.jpeg)
    [Img src](https://www.pexels.com/photo/thoughtful-man-using-smartphone-on-street-3800149/)

Currently I don't really know where they are. All I know is that I left them at Kaduna and came back to the east. Few years ago, I heard rumors from my mother that one of my friends Nnana and his parents relocated to Lagos Nigeria because of the same insecurity in Kaduna state.

HOW WILL YOU REACT IF YOU WERE TO SEE THEM AGAIN

TO BE HONEST, I DON'T KNOW HOW I WILL REACT.

Leaving my friends in Kaduna really made me have an introversion characteristics but I am a kind of person that move on easily from any past I have and it has been helping me emotionally. One thing I've told my self about them is that: people come and go but the only thing that matters is the positive impact we leave inside them before going. So with this, I know that I left a good impact on my friends.

Also, I don't like going back to my last, well unless I want to learn from my past but if not, I see my last as a library in which I go to for lectures, in other to perfect my future, so on this note, I will neither be happy nor sad if I meet them again.. I'll just have my normal attitude and learn more from them.

    CONCLUSION

We all have previous friends we left due to one reason or another and that action has left us with a good or bad characteristics in one way or the other. However, it is only but natural for we to lose more friends because the older one gets, the higher their level and the faster they lose friends who don't impact positivity to them lives. Irresponsible of this fact however, we should always move forward with a huge smile and learn from our past because going back to the past without a tangible reason means that a person isn't ready to grow and face the bright and difficult future.

This wouldn't be a blog if you don't visit it and read through, on this note I want to Thank you for reading through my blog, I really appreciate.

    Happy new fruitful week ahead.

  • River Niger

The River Niger holds great economic importance for the countries it flows through. Let's explore some of the reasons why the river is significant for the economy:

    ### 1. Transportation:
The River Niger serves as a major transportation route for goods and people. It allows for the movement of goods such as agricultural products, minerals, and manufactured goods. This helps connect different regions and facilitates trade and commerce between cities and countries along its banks. Barges and boats are used to transport goods, reducing the reliance on costly road or rail infrastructure.

    ### 2. Irrigation and Agriculture:
The water from the River Niger is essential for irrigation purposes. It provides a reliable water source for farmers to irrigate their crops, particularly during dry seasons. Irrigation allows farmers to grow a variety of crops and increase agricultural productivity, leading to economic growth and food security. The fertile soil near the riverbanks also supports farming activities and sustains livelihoods.

    ### 3. Hydropower Generation:
The River Niger is harnessed for hydroelectric power generation. Dams and reservoirs are built along the river to capture its water and convert the energy into electricity. Hydropower is a clean and renewable energy source, and it helps meet the increasing energy demands of industries, businesses, and households. Access to affordable and reliable electricity is crucial for economic development, industrial growth, and improving the quality of life.

    ### 4. Fishing and Aquaculture:
The River Niger supports a thriving fishing industry. Its waters are home to a diverse range of fish species, including catfish, tilapia, and Nile perch. Fishing provides employment and a source of income for many communities along the river. Additionally, fish farming or aquaculture has gained prominence, where fish are bred and raised in controlled environments, contributing to the economy and meeting the demand for fish products.

    ### 5. Natural Resources:
The Niger Delta, located at the mouth of the River Niger in Nigeria, is rich in oil and gas reserves. Oil extraction and production activities in the region significantly contribute to the economy of Nigeria, as oil exports form a substantial portion of the country's revenue. The river also supports other natural resources such as minerals, including gold and limestone, which can be extracted and utilized for economic purposes.

    ### Conclusion
Overall, the River Niger plays a crucial role in driving economic activities, supporting livelihoods, and fostering development in the countries it flows through. Its contributions to transportation, agriculture, energy generation, fishing, and natural resource exploitation make it an invaluable asset for the economic growth and prosperity of the region.

  • Following are Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's remarks at the start of the festive Cabinet today, which was held in the Western Wall Tunnels, in honor of Jerusalem, and at which several decisions were made to develop and strengthen the city:

"Several days ago, Abu Mazen told the UN that the Jewish People have no links to the Temple Mount and that eastern Jerusalem is part of the Palestinian Authority. Therefore, and to get his attention, today we are holding a special Cabinet meeting in honor of Jerusalem Day at the foot of the Temple Mount upon which King Solomon built the First Temple of the Jewish People, and which is – again to get Abu Mazen's attention – the heart of the historical State of Israel, the City of David, and has been here for 3,000 years.

The deep ties between the Jewish People and Jerusalem is one that has no parallel among the nations. Jerusalem was our capital around 1,100 years before London became the capital of England, approximately 1,800 years before Paris became the capital of France and around 2,800 years before Washington DC became the capital of the US. For over 100 generations, Jews expressed their special yearning for Jerusalem in prayers that are repeated three times a day and under the wedding canopy.

Fifty-six years ago, in the Six Day War, we unified Jerusalem. But I must say that the fight for its unity has not ended. Time and again, my friends and I have been forced to repel international pressure on the part of those who would divide Jerusalem again, and by prime ministers of Israel who were prepared to give in to those pressures, and were even prepared to concede the Jewish People's holiest places.

We have acted differently. Not only have we not divided Jerusalem, we have built and expanded it. I am proud to have had the great privilege of building new neighborhoods in Jerusalem, such as Har Homa, Givat Hamatos and Maaleh Hazeitim, in which tens of thousands of Israelis live. We did all this together in the face of great international pressure. We stood against these pressures.

I am proud that the governments we have headed have led great expansion and development in all parts of the city, western and eastern, on behalf of its residents. I am proud that we have brought about American recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the transfer of the US and other embassies to the capital – and our hand is still extended.

I promise you that more embassies will be transferred to Jerusalem and it will not take a very long time. But the work is not over and the challenge is yet before us. There are still those who want to divide Jerusalem and they say so openly. There are those who proclaim their loyalty to the united Jerusalem but are not really prepared to fight for it at the moment of truth. Only the national camp led by us will safeguard a strong and united Jerusalem, just as we are safeguarding our security and national pride.

And therefore, on behalf of our security, our future and the unity of Jerusalem, we must continue to maintain our government, that of the national camp. You all see the difference.

Just one year ago, here in the heart of Jerusalem, we saw a disgraceful scene. Two Jewish youths hastened to take Israeli flags off their car. They had stopped at a traffic light and there was concern that a procession of Palestinians, that was protesting opposite them and waving PLO flags in the heart of Jerusalem, could injure them, like many others; we were also outraged by this.

We promised to restore our national honor – and I am keeping our promise. We did this last week with the flag march which wound its way proudly through the streets of our capital, and in Operation Shield and Arrow, which changed the equation with Islamic Jihad.

Of course, in order to continue maintaining our national government, we must pass the state budget. You know that I have a little experience in this matter, having passed almost 20 state budgets, and I can tell you that there are always last minute arguments. I believe that we will overcome them and pass the budget.

We will pass a responsible budget one of the goals of which is to equalize conditions between a haredi child to those of a secular child. Haredi children do not need to receive less than secular or religious children because a haredi child is not half a child. No Jew needs to hear the antisemitic incitement on the television channels, or see shameful caricatures in the biased media, which copy the anti-Semitic propaganda that our people has known in its darker periods. The fact is that under our government we have succeeded in integrating the Haredi sector in the labor market more than all other governments – and this we will continue to do.

This government was elected to serve out its days; therefore, I am certain that in the coming days we will bridge all of the gaps and continue to work together on behalf of all citizens of Israel, and Jerusalem.

Indeed, today the government will approve budgets for the development of the Old City and the strengthening of all of Jerusalem. We will upgrade infrastructure in the Western Wall plaza and we will improve transportation services. I have specially requested that attention be given to completing the ring road (the eastern ring road and the northern American highway), this will be major news as the great transportation news that we have brought, great news in Jerusalem and not just in Jerusalem. We will expand educational activity for children, soldiers and students and we will encourage visits to the amazing Western Wall where are now meeting.

These decisions join what we have already done on behalf of our capital. Several years ago, we initiated and began the excavation of the wonderful Har Nof tunnels and today tens of thousands of drivers use them daily. At the same time, we are extending the light rail in the city from Gilo in the south to Ramot in the north.

The quarter at the entrance to the city is being built. We all pass by it daily and see it progressing. This will give a major push to commerce, employment, housing, culture and recreation. I note that hundreds of high-tech companies are already active in Jerusalem, and we are moving forward with new initiatives to build housing.

In the coming years, we will also advance an innovative enterprise – the cable car to the Western Wall, which will allow for easier access to the area of the Western Wall and the City of David. I am certain that riding on it will be a unique and special experience for both Israelis and overseas tourists. As a Jerusalemite from the age of two days, because I was born in Tel Aviv and arrived in Jerusalem at the age of two days, I remember Jerusalem and it is changing daily. It has wonderful things that do not change but there are also great and powerful changes that are bursting with momentum, imagination and hope.

I would like to thank all government ministers for joining in to benefit Jerusalem, but especially Jerusalem Affairs Minister Meir Porush, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Mayor Moshe Lion, who is continuing the energetic work of his predecessor, Minister Nir Barkat

In contrast to what Abu Mazen said several days ago, we were here thousands of years ago and will still be here thousands of years from now.

A Happy Shavuot to the people of Israel, a happy festival to Jerusalem, the eternal united capital of the State of Israel."

  • We welcome United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres’s appointment of Major General Humphrey Nyone as Force Commander of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA).

This the most senior position held by a Zambian in the UN since our country became a member of the UN on 1st December 1964. In this role, Major General Nyone will oversee the military component of MINUSCA, whose mandate covers among other issues, protection of civilians, facilitating delivery of humanitarian assistance, promoting and protecting human rights, and disarmament to mention a few.

Our Government commends the UN SG for the expression of confidence in Zambian security forces and commits to increase its participation in UN peacekeeping operations, through the participation of the military, police, and civilian personnel.

We have been very consistent on the issue of peace as we insist that instability anywhere is instability everywhere. We cannot advance economic development of Africa within a context of instability. Zambia, as a peace-loving nation, will make every effort to promote peace and security around the world. This is an integral part of our foreign policy. To see that humanity lives in peace and seeks out its full potential.

Congratulations Major General Nyone wishing you a successful tour of duty.
