Just before I made it to the first of four or five
#ForestLakes, I came across this beautiful
#waterfall. The trail pretty much follows this stream from the
#SouthBoulderCreek to the Forest Lakes. Just about all trails in the
#mountains follow streams, because they take the path of least resistance.
The water flows year around most years and is 100% fed by the
#glaciers that persist all year at these altitudes. The
#creeks and
#lakes are all loaded with
#trout and it's a wonder how they all get there.
While I don't live in the
#mountains yet, that's where my heart is. I spend a lot of time visiting them and will always come back. I always feel
#free when on the move, even on a
#roadtrip, but never as free as when I'm alone on the
#trail where it's just me, the mountains and the wind.
