Greetings SoMee Family Today I will be teaching about Block Chain Oracles. 1. Do you know what Blockchain Oracles are? A blockchain oracle is a third party service that helps in connecting blockchains to the external outside world. It is like a bridge that let us feed the information in from the world and also to the real world. To access the data outside the on-chain/smart contracts, there was no intermediate for this but now with the help of blockchain oracle, blockchains, and smart contracts can access data of the real world. Let's make it even more simple. For some contracts/agreements in blockchain, it is important to have relevant information from the outside world but there is no medium to link the outside world with blockchain. For this, blockchain oracles play an important role by connecting off-chain and on-chain data. If there are no blockchain oracles, then smart contracts will have limited usage that will be inside the network only. Let's take the example of Alice and Bob who bet in a car race or any other race. The total of $100 is escrowed by a smart contract that includes $40 of Alice on Team A and $60 for Bob on Team B. But here the thing is how does a smart contract know when the game will be over, and to whom he needs to give money Alice or Bob? So here blockchain oracle is required that will match off-chain outcomes and will deliver it to the blockchain and then transfer the money to the winner. 2. What are the types of Oracles? 2a. Software and Hardware Oracles 2b. Centralized and Decentralized Oracles 2c. Here are very cool "then & now" photos of the National Old Trails Road (NOTR) portion that later was Route 66 between Barstow and Oro Grande, California. In the early 1900s, the use of the automobile began to grow and better roads became necessary. The National Old Trails planned a road from Los Angeles to New York, and they aligned it next to the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe railroad tracks from Cajon Pass to Needles. The road passed through Oro Grande. Here they appear to be grading the future roadway using slip, Fresno scrapers pulled by mules and possibly using a Holt crawler tractor in the back. Some of the original sections of Route 66 and other highways of that time have a lot of curves to go around hills and valleys because of the limitations of the equipment. The top picture was taken in the year 1917 showing the new improvement of the existing 10-foot wide roadway of the 1849 Santa Fe & Salt lake Trail. An exchange is a platform where currencies are being traded for another, in the place of cryptocurrency, it's a place where cryptocurrencies are being traded from one currency to another It also reflects current market prices and can convert from one coin to another as the user wishes 3. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN EXCHANGE AND A WALLET 3a. Just like I explained above, the wallet offers high security since it gives your private key to you and is not accessible by anyone or even the organization, in the same vein, the exchange can also access your private key and you be hacked if mismanaged 3b. The wallets can not perform operations like buying and selling cryptocurrencies, but these operations can be carried out on the exchange platforms 3c. The wallets do not need a KYC registration of users, unlike the exchanges that need user identification to create a verified account.
