• The choice of programming language for the backend of a web application depends on various factors such as the project requirements, developer expertise, and the specific use case. Several programming languages are commonly used for backend development. Some of the popular ones include:

Java: Known for its portability and scalability, Java is widely used in enterprise-level applications.

Python: Loved for its readability and versatility, Python is commonly used in web development with frameworks like Django and Flask.

JavaScript (Node.js): JavaScript, traditionally a front-end language, is also used on the server side with the Node.js runtime, making it possible to use a single language (JavaScript) for both frontend and backend development.

Ruby: Often associated with the Ruby on Rails framework, Ruby is known for its developer-friendly syntax and rapid development capabilities.

PHP: A server-side scripting language that is often used for web development, especially with popular frameworks like Laravel.

C#: Commonly used in conjunction with the ASP.NET framework for building scalable and robust web applications, particularly in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Go (Golang): Developed by Google, Go is known for its efficiency and is used in backend development, especially in applications where performance is critical.

Scala: A language that runs on the Java Virtual Machine (JVM) and is often used in combination with the Play Framework for building scalable and reactive web applications.

Rust: Known for its focus on performance and safety, Rust is gaining popularity in backend development, particularly in systems programming.

The choice of a backend programming language often depends on factors like project requirements, developer expertise, and the specific goals of the application. Many modern web applications use a combination of backend technologies, such as microservices architecture, where different services can be written in different languages based on their specific requirements.

  • All the while I have missed my lovely friends in the ecosystem and I know my friends missed me too.

Lots have happened am sure I have a lot to catch up with. Got to discover this new frontend (#someesocial)and I decided to try it out, you can check it out yourself.

Meanwhile, my fish farm is doing well, this is my second harvest. Over the weekend I decided to smoke some of them and it was so tasty.

    Bye for now

  • We found our way to the #RedCliffsWildlifeConservationArea because of some RV trouble we had. Just before the trip we had a frontend alignment done and the mechanic failed to torque any of the bolts down. Our camber adjustor fell out while we were two-tracking on a backroad near #BryceCanyon in #Utah and the tie rod adjustor sleeves on both sides were loose as well. If you envision Utah being a vast expanse with few amenities, you are 100% correct. There was not one place within a towable distance that could service anything the size of our 31' RV.

Towing would have cost $1500 and I wasn't paying that. So, I went on a hike and found the part we lost then put everything back together well enough so we could drive to the only place that could help us. This required us to drive 4 hours in the opposite direction from where we were heading. We couldn't get there before the place closed, so I had to find us a free #boondocking site. This is what I found and the #views turned a negative situation into one that simply added to our adventure.

I'm glad it happened how it did, because if the part fell out in a different spot during our journey, it could have sent us down into some very deep rocky valleys. As you can see, Nietzsche and Lucy weren't bothered by the ordeal, LMAO. They love it when we find a new place for them to run free. As soon as we pulled into the #trailhead parking all the stress lifted from me as well. From there on out the negative had turned into a positive. It's a good thing I'm an auto mechanic, among other things.

  • Starting a new journey today, learning to code with frontendsimplified. Wanna dive a little deeper in to the programmers world and see how things are behind the scenes. I know it will be a thrilling experience to say the least. Wish me luck!????

  • The Dood Returns To SoMee
This post is geared towards SoMee users. I haven't posted there in a really long time and I just wanted to do an intro post and give the community a little info about Hive and what I've been up to.
What's up #SoMee? It's been some time. I was recently listening to a Twitter spaces the other day about Hive and someone mentioned that SoMee was now integrated with Hive! I had to stop by and check it out. I'll probably be posting here again too.
    Why I left?
Seriously to much social media. At the time I decided to focus on Hive and Twitter. Mainly Hive, with 45K followers on Twitter it's hard to let go. Slowly I've been phasing out Twitter because, well, The Dood doesn't abide censorship. Now that SoMee is officially a Hive frontend, SoMee will be part of my daily social media posting!
For any new Hiveans D.buzz is also a great alternative to Twitter and is also Hive based.
So now we've got Peakd and a couple others for blogging. SoMee as our Facebook alternative. D.buzz as our Twitter alternative. Plus we have great communities like Splinterlands.io dedicated to Splinterlands play to earn gaming.
cinetv.io for talking about cinema, tv, and entertainment.
I also started a community on Peakd called Dual Sport Adventure about motorcycle travel and dual sport riding.
I'm loving the new look and feel of SoMee. Lots of improvements to the interface. Is chat gone? That was a great feature, would love to see a return of the chat box. It would separate SoMee from so many of the other front ends too. Everything doesn't have to post to the blockchain. As a matter of fact, chat is better if it's not logged to anything!
Going through some old posts, I guess there were some issues with the old tokens on SoMee. I missed all that. For some reason I remember not being able to cash out my earned tokens back in the ETH days. Then I think I figured out how to cash in some of them. IDK, what I do know is all that confusion should be behind us now. I've been on Hive since it was STEEM and it's pretty tough to game the system. IDK if that's what happend, but just saying... On top of that, we have complete control of our wallets. As long as the tokens and rewards make it to our wallets, we have control of them. Hive also has a couple different DEX's to trade on and several ways to cash out! This seems like an all around win win to me.
Plus, screw Ethereum and its ridiculous tx fees. Hive is a much better fit for SoMee!
So I've already mentioned my Peakd community about dual sporting. Some of you may have remembered my old Honda Shadow 750. I'm in the process of selling that. My latest project bike is a 2014 Suzuki DR650 that I've been using for distance riding. I got a couple trips in towards the end of last summer and I'm really looking forward to the 2022 riding season.
I started a 3Speak and Youtube vlogging channel. I actually doxxed myself so you'll actually see a real picture of me from time to time. My main focus for content lately has been travel, motorcycle maintenance, camping, and survival type stuff. I'm convinced World War III is just around the corner. The Dood's been preparing accordingly and posting about it.
NY just legalized cannabis for personal use last year. I've been doing a lot of blogging about cannabis, hemp, and Delta8 THC products. If you're a pothead, you can look forward to some of that. If you're not, sorry :( Hopefully my other content will keep you around.
I still post a little about crypto from time to time. Maybe I'll post more, now that I'm back here. Twitter is just a cesspool of propaganda now and is almost completely useless for anything crypto related IMHO. Maybe I'll start posting that stuff here again.
I'll leave you with a picture of my new motorcycle. I'll be posting soon about tire changes and the box on the seat is new fuel line and aftermarket gas filters. Should have those up over the next couple weeks.
Happy to be back. Looking forward to sharing with you all! Let's go SME and Hive! To the moon!

  • Hey guys! It might have been a bit silent in here, but a lot has been going on so a quick update on main things.

The Swap: At a stage where we can set up on a testnet to set up a test environment for it.

The NFT's: The duck hunt game now mints on own chain... coming week we will try to finish that.

NFT marketplace: A basic frontend is deployed by the team to be built out further.

Merchandise store: A webshop is in development, and we're talking to merch suppliers.

Nodes, nodes, and more nodes! The amount of nodes has slowly increased to ~25 now.

The mining pool is being worked on! Setting up a mining pool to be released when the time is right.

Cloudflare, most sites are set up now, will see to improve/do another round soon.

Come check out what we've been building! @ https://cryptophoenix.org/
Also thanks to Phoenixphire for supplying the development pipeline with the graphics and of course all of the socials!
That's all for now! Will check back in soon for another update!

  • Testing Updates for 10/18/2022 at 9:08 PM
    Working on:
    - Adding Dollar values to the posts on the frontend
    - Showing previously blocked groups, so you can unblock the invite
    - Tieing in Downvote Reaction as a downvote action on Hive and removing it from the 'angry' reaction.

    Working in Testing:
    - Wallet balances
    - Wallet refresh
    - Voting on Posts, Comments, and Replies
    - Posting, Commenting, and Replies
    - Group invites now go to a new group -> Group Invites tab, so you can join groups as you wish and not be automatically added to them (unless you are the admin in your own invite group :P)
    - Link to packages on the left-hand navigation
    - Addition of Blockchain Settings to the admin area, so cs agents can help you with your blockchain settings; note we cannot see your keys or anything about your account other than your hive ID.
    - Downvote Reaction - added downvote reaction
    Still more to come!
