  • In a nearby farm, I discovered the most amazing strawberries I've ever bought. Until I have ready my own strawberries from the garden, I shall have to rely on whatever I can get. But they also go well with desserts, particularly chocolate ones.

    Happy Sunday everyone! ????.

  • The Paseo Colon, was inaugurated on March 5, 1967, with this name it was baptized because there was a square in the shape of a vial with the statue of Christopher Columbus. At the beginning of the year 2000, the statue was removed, leaving only the iconic cross that many know.
Today it bears the name "Paseo de la Cruz y el Mar" this is due to its majestic Cross of 5 meters high. In this promenade magnificent artisans, painters and merchants offer food, drinks, desserts and more; In addition to that, it also has an important pier that works as an access point to different islands that are part of the beautiful Mochima National Park.

  • Hello everybody, good morning. The most anticipated moment for me has arrived, I am very excited and nostalgic because I have finally decided to change the mechanics of my profile a little, as I explained in my previous post, I managed my SoMee account as a personal social network and decided to give a different approach, since new users are added to the platform every day and the demands for good content are noted. I want to make my account something like a blog based on my work. I like to talk a lot, in fact, people tell me that I would be a very good radio host, but I suffer from stage fright (believe it or not) Hahaha. They can ignore that. As many know, I am a confectioner, I live for confectionery and thanks to SoMee I have been able to continue growing in my work. I've been at SoMee for 4 years and I'm definitely happy about it. I know that we have a long way to go here and I really want to stand out for being those people who really publish good content. People who know me know that I really love the platform and I declare myself a defender of it. My name Ana's Cakes has been my brand name for 4 years, the same one I created after coming to SoMee. I also use this name on my work account on Instagram and on Facebook, but at SoMee I want to give it a different approach. It's not just showing my work, I really want to inspire others and leave a teaching. Today in my first post I have a spectacular recipe, even a child could make it and it would be incredible. It is a moist chocolate cake and I guarantee you that it is really good, fluffy, tasty, ideal to fill or decorate as you like. I have modified the recipe to achieve a large cake equivalent to 2 molds of 22 cm, since we are in the fashion of tall cakes, but if you want to make a single cake of 22 cm, simply divide the ingredients in half or you can also use the recipe as indicated in a large mold and it will be perfect. The ingredients are as follows: 2 cups of common sugar, 3 and 1/2 cups of flour, 1 and 1/2 cup of cocoa or cocoa powder, in this case I recommend using herseys brand cocoa or a good quality., Venezuelan cocoa is very good and I usually use the NESTLE; brand, but any cocoa sold in bakeries has worked well for me... The other ingredients are: 3 teaspoons of baking soda and 3 teaspoons of baking powder , 2 teaspoons of salt, 4 eggs, 2 cups of liquid milk, 1 cup of oil (Yes, you read correctly, the oil goes very well with chocolate cakes since they provide more moisture), 4 teaspoons of vanilla and 2 cups of boiling water (it is very important it must be boiling). Okay, let's get to work. The preparation of this delicious cake is very simple: we mix the dry ones and sift them with a strainer and reserve. In a bowl we begin to beat eggs, add the oil, vanilla and milk, incorporate the dry ones at this point, mixing without over-beating, to finish we add the boiling water. I must tell you that the mixture is quite liquid, don't be scared, that's how it should be. Prepare your mold with waxed paper or with butter and flour. Add the cake mix and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 40/50 minutes. This can vary according to the oven and the temperature of the environment, so the best test is to insert a toothpick, if it comes out dry it is ready. You can decorate with butter cream, Chantilly cream, egg meringue, ganache or arequipe. Any coverage will look great on you. This cake is so moist and delicious that you will never want to buy cakes from anyone else... Tip: you can also fill the cake with arequipe, chocolate ganache, pudding, chocolate buttercream, whipped cream with fresh fruits, Nutella or with whatever you want, although if you ask me it doesn't need any filling because it's so moist and delicious that it's not necessary. If you are a man or a woman and you want to learn how to make recipes for cakes and desserts for birthdays, to celebrate with friends or simply to please yourself, continue reading my post. If you are a child remember to ask for help from dad, mom or responsible adult. Once again, thank you for all the support you have given me throughout these 4 years, I hope to have you in this new stage in which I want to bring quality content, that leaves a teaching or that you can enjoy. Total thanks.

Gracias totales.
