The Paseo Colon, was inaugurated on March 5, 1967, with this name it was baptized because there was a square in the shape of a vial with the statue of Christopher Columbus. At the beginning of the year 2000, the statue was removed, leaving only the iconic cross that many know.
Today it bears the name "Paseo de la Cruz y el Mar" this is due to its majestic Cross of 5 meters high.
