It seems to me there is a purpose, that on a universal hierarchy, authorities are not proposing actual remedies and operating on them.
The rationale is that it would figure out dilemmas and that would no longer immortalize the recent disaster which is its original objective.

The elite is so delusional and solipsistic that they totally assume that we will wish the dictatorial ordinance that they are peddling to us.
Why else would they be informing us that authoritarian decree is decent stuff and populism, supposing for one's self, and free will is bad?
The generality of the population is not entirely stupid, nor oblivious of their antics, we have simply assumed the dog pasture.
