One of the reasons why I love simplicity, nature, and country side lifestyle.

My parents have extreme green thumb. I am not exaggerating but even if my mom would just throw a seed of mango anywhere in our lot- it will grow. Hmmm. Maybe its our soil, I don't know. My mom also is into recyling, as you can see she uses plastic bottles and cups as pots for the plants. Currently she is into planting "Money Tree". and its everywhere!

Let me share one of my foolishness as a child.

One summer, my parents,me and my younger brother Jeff were planting vegetables in our backyard. I was assigned to plant Chilies🌶. What I did was I crushed them with my own bare hands to get the seeds out!!! guess what, after sometime my hands started to bleed. . I started to cry because it was painful but I just made it worse as I rubbed my eyes with my hands with Chili seeds in it and mate the pain was just excruciating!!!

• I took these a photos a few full moons ago in my backyard with my old Canon Rebel EOS and Sigma 500mm zoom lense. Not the best spot, but good for practicing. These are best of the many shots I took. I plan to put that big lense to use more often.

  • My work neighbors just had delivered huge truck loads of their structural beam supports. Building a giant Warehouse but surprised they can get it up in these frigid temps...Will be fun to see it go up in phases from our backyard.

  • Hello friends... You don't know what I'm going through right now. A few days ago she died dexy, well I have to tell you that I am going through one of the worst moments of my life. They killed my cat Nekko Alexander. Remember that I published a cat that I rescued from the streets with 2 kittens. Well I have taken care of the kittens since they were born, I gave them a home, care and lots of love. Yesterday my soul was broken into a thousand pieces, a cruel and ruthless person of whom I have no knowledge killed my cat by kicking or punching him in the nose. I kill him right in front of my house with such evil that I am destroyed. This has been very hard for me. Since yesterday I have not stopped crying. I managed to get some sleep because I didn't sleep over at my house. I had to bury it in my backyard because I didn't have the heart to throw it away. Only someone who has had a pet and has taken such care of it knows what it feels like to lose it. For my nekko, the black one was my favorite, because he was the most affectionate, nothing can comfort me...

  • Sinigang is #Alloftheabove

EkimadzaboutYou you got it right, it is a stew made sour by Tamarind. Hence, the saltiness comes from the type of protein added on it plus the fish sauce condiment. The sweetness from the vegetables. All boiled down to come up with a savoury (full of umami) broth. Yum!

Most Filipinos uses Tamarind to make the broth tolerably sour. At times you can add as well its leaves. This can be found even in our backyard in the Philippines. #Organic #sustainableliving #FilipinoFood
