THE SIN EMBATTLED SOUL! (ROM.7:19)

The first and probably most important step towards keeping sin in check is by *NEVER CREATING AN EXCUSE FOR IT*! You know, that's exactly what the devil desires, to help create the room for its continuity.
For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. (Rom 7: 19)
EXcuses NEVER vindicate sin, but rather applaud it. THIS IS THE REASON FOR THAT WONDERFUL WARNING...*YOU RECKONED YOU ARE STRONG AND FIRM, YET *WATCH,LEST...*
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: (1Pe 5: 8)
This is where we are having *real issues* today as believers. With Christendom rife with so many concocted, made believe and man-made doctrines and dogmas,for instance,the certainty of *ELECTION*, our souls have been *cooled* to the veracity of actual sin. The heartbreaking part of it, is those who lay claims to *always saved*, can't even confirm if they made that much taunted list of the ELECT! Remember what Paul said;
But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a CASTAWAY. (1Co 9: 27)
IF WE CAN'T BE FIRM WITH SIN, BECAUSE WE PROCLAIM FAITH AND LIBERTY, SIN WILL BE FIRM WITH US!
For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business.(James 1:11).
As the sun rises and a hot wind blows and dries up the grass, the flower falls and loses its beauty, so the rich will languish in their deeds. Double-minded people are the ones who pursue and follow the world. Spiritually, they are adulterers. It is because we can pursue the things of the world only by abandoning the bridegroom Jesus. The things of the world naturally perish and decay with the passage of time, but life in Jesus is eternal. After death, we do not become eternal life, but we who are alive can become eternal life by putting on the dwelling place of God. But those who pursue the things of the world cannot put on the body of eternal life.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.(James 1:12).
It is said that blessed are those who endure temptation. God puts us into the fire to refine us like gold. Because through patience we are sanctified. What does it mean to be sanctified? It is the crown of life. We must run towards this crown of life. Only when we do not care about things that perish can we receive the crown of eternal life. God gave life to Jesus, and Jesus gave us eternal life. You must know that union with Jesus is union with eternal life.
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;(James 1:13).
