FIESTA or sometimes called FESTIVAL is a uniquely colorful part of the Filipino Culture. These events becomes stage for visual arts, music, food and dance festivals which helps tourism to grow and keeps visitors to keep coming back for more. Be it religious or non-religious, It serves as a good bonding time for kins
and friends as well.

Filipino hospitality is legendary and best to be experienced during these banquets. As one folk song mentions:

"Upang kumain ng masarap ay pinipilit ka pa
Maghapong kaina'y nagdaan, pagkai'y naubos na.
Kung bakit itong maybahay, natuwa pa."

The song tells about the host's efforts to serve
delightful delicacies and food to their guests
yet the host of the banquet finds joy upon seeing
that the food had all been binged.

And all of these festivities can be attributed to
its ancient origin of THANKSGIVING for all the
blessings. Though not all of these are tied up with food, some are activities worth watching. Whatever they are, one thing is for sure...you will enjoy!

The most adorable and cute cat. Each time Meow Meow would see me, she would come close, go around me in circles and rub her head against my leg then lay like this.
Animals of every kind have a strong bonding with me. It's because they know who has a true and honest heart and soul. They automatically come, as they love and trust you. Similarly how the white horse did after seeing me 2 years later by nudging my palm.
By the way, kitty cats name isn't Meow Meow. She would just like it whenever I would say it and respond. I really miss her loads. Family cat. Best cat.

As we approach the new year, I wanted to reflect a bit on the accomplishments that the ICON Foundation and our community achieved in ONLY a year. People forget we didn't even have DeFi until April of this year...
1) ICON Foundation adds 8 new employees to the internal team. 2) BTP partnerships announced with Polkadot/Kusama ecosystem (Moonbeam, Acala, Astar Network, Edgeware), Binance Smart Chain, Near Protocol, Harmony, Algorand, ICE/SNOW. (plus more coming soon)
3) ICON 2.0 mainnet upgrade introducing a new "Goloop" core blockchain engine, Java smart contract capabilities, and much more.
4) Contribution Proposal System (CPS) launches, bringing decentralized funding to the ICON ecosystem. CPS has already provided funding for 20 completed projects and 9 active projects, totaling over $500k. - Projects include Winible, Gangstabet, Karma, Wonderland, SuperNode Racing, ICON Web Studio, Token Score Factory, CODA and much more.
5) DeFi applications Balanced and Omm launch - with upcoming protocols Optimus and Equality coming soon. NFT marketplace Craft also launches.
6) IISS 3.1 implemented reducing overall network inflation by over 24%, reallocating 10% to CPS funding and introducing "bonding" for P-Reps.
7) ICE Blockchain and SNOW Canary Network announced, along with $ICY and $ICZ airdrop.
8) Introduction of HX57 Bounty Program to reward community members for producing high-quality content about ICON.
9) New icon.foundation website released.
10) ICON Discord officially released, along with the introduction of our community managers @arosh and @John. --- Thank you to our entire community for sticking with us through delays and for your contributions towards growing our ecosystem. We've come a long way, but we're just getting started. I have no doubt 2022 will be the biggest year yet for ICON! Looking forward to hyperconnecting the world in 2022.
