While walking on a gravel road today a Thrush came bouncing from the side of the road and started to act like its wing was broken. It kept hopping down the road with its right wing hanging out as if she couldn’t fly. As soon as I moved far from her nest site, she just flew off. Not often I get to see the “broken wing” act, but momma’s babies are important to protect.
