JUST A MINUTE PLEASE [THE PREACHER'S CORNER]
THE CHURCH IS IN THE CENTRE OF THE END TIMES STORM AND GOD WANTS TO KNOW...AS A CHRISTIAN WHAT'S YOUR STAND?(EXO.32:25-28)
It didn't start today,it has been there. The big difference is that the devil knowing he has no much time left,is all out to snatch as many as he can with him.
25. And when Moses saw that the people had broken loose (for Aaron had let them break loose, to their shame among their enemies),
26. then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, "Who is on the LORD's side? Come to me." And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together to him.
This is the exact position of the church today,
* WHO IS DEDICATEDLY BRAVE ENOUGH TO BE ON THE LORD'S SIDE?*
Dear Father, by Your Grace and Mercy ,teach and give us the understanding and the urgency of the situation.
So,like we began with,, the devil's onslaught against anything or anyone connected with God didn't start today. It has only intensified.
For instance,just as Israel was surrounded by the Midianites and other heathen worshipping nations, so also has the surrounded the church with dangerous evil influences. We need not waste time on this. We all are seeing what's happening around us...HOW MONEY WHICH WAS MEANT TO BE A MEANS OF EXCHANGE OF GOODS AND SERVICES HAS BECOME AN IDOL THAT MAN WORSHIPS.
And it has crept into the church in such a way that its (money) worship has denied God His Rightful position in the church in our hearts. The devil craftily elevated the position of MONEY above our God,whereby the Glory of God departed from our churches:
"No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon. (Mat 6: 24)
God NEVER shares His Glory with anyone. And as a result,we broke the edge and the serpent has been biting (Ecc.10:8) Otherwise,many calamities befalling us today wouldn't dare
We read in Judges 6:2 ,"And the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel: and because of the Midianites the children of Israel made them the dens which are in the mountains and caves, and strong holds."
Things were tough; there was no question of this. In order to save their lives the Hebrews had to leave their own homes and live in mountain hideouts and caves. TODAY, MANY OF THE WEALTHY WHO PROBABLY ARE ELDERS, COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN OR PATRONS DON'T SLEEP IN THEIR HOUSES OUT OF FEAR,PARTLY BECAUSE OF HOW THEY MADE THEIR MONEY, YET THEY'RE RESPECTED MEN IN THE CHURCH. EVEN SOME OF US PASTORS ARE NOT EXCLUDED....WE MOVE AROUND WITH BOUNCERS AND HUMAN SECURITY...THEY WILL TELL YOU IT'S TO CONTROL THE CROWD.
The Midianites every now and then would sweep over the land confiscating the crops and driving off all the farm animals they could find.
In verse 6 we read, "And Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites, and the children of Israel cried unto the Lord because of the Midianites."
It has come to the extent where many of us believers either hide or deny our identity to make ends meet. Yes, Christians becoming moslems to gain employment or be politically relevant. JUST IMAGINE, THE FIRST LADY,A SUPPOSED SENIOR PASTOR AT THE RCCG BEING THE WIFE OF A MOSLEM FOR YEARS...WHAT BROUGHT THAT ALLIANCE... DON'T TELL ME IT WAS INNOCENT LOVE.
After losing their harvests for seven successive years the Israelites were on the verge of starvation. And right here I want to say that Israel was not suffering because God refused to help them; but rather because they had turned their backs on God. Now they were desperate and in their desperation they remembered God. There was a time when a dollar was equal to a naira,but today,a dollar is officially N1500 to a dollar. Now the Israelites were desperate and remembered God,whom they had rejected for the worship of baal.
It is rather sad that things had come to this. But somehow they thought of God’s leading in the past and the wonderful way He had helped them.
” Time and time again, when a man reaches his extremity he turns to God. And the wonderful thing is that God will hear him. I think it is wonderful the way God will answer a man who ignores Him in the good times and pleads with Him in dire extremity.
But today, our case is slightly if not seriously different, BECAUSE EVERY WARNING GOD GAVE TO US IN THE BOOK OF DANIEL AND REVELATION ARE PLAYING OUT BEFORE OUR VERY EYES, THOUGH SOME OF US ARE YET TO COME TO TERMS WITH IT, BUT IT'S THE TRUTH. YOU CAN'T PRAY AWAY GOD'S WORD. HE HONOURS HIS WORD ABOVE HIS NAME;
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. (Psa 138: 2)
God Heard Israel's Prayer
A wonderful thing is prayer. God loves to hear us pray, not only in extremity, but in the good times as well. Well God heard Israel’s prayer and He sent a prophet.
Judges 6:8 says, "That the Lord sent a prophet unto the children of Israel".
Verse 10. And I said unto you, I am the LORD your God; fear not the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but ye have not obeyed my voice."
But is God going to hear our prayers that His Word shouldn't come to pass...no way. We need to realigne our prayers to fit in with God's undiluted for our time. And that's were many churches missed it... GIVING HOPE WHERE THERE'S NONE.
God’s message was one of rebuke, one of censure. As much as to say, "You didn’t bother about Me when things were going well and now you are desperate you are singing out for help." However the prophet's voice met with a favourable response from the people.
But it's a far cry from what what God desires from us today... INSTEAD OF OUR REPENTANCE ACCORDING TO THE TERMS OF HIS WORD FOR THE TIMES FOR US...WE WANT GOD TO OBEY US AND DISOBEY HIS OWN HIGHLY PRICED WORD THAT HE HAS REJECTED THIS CURRENT WORLD;
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2Pe 3: 10)
12. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13. Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2Pe 3: 12-13)
It's the reason God is looking for courageous people like Gideon who will stand up for His Word and satans deceptive tendencies to divert Man's attention from the worship of God by increased knowledge that's churning out architectural, engineering and mechanical wonders we would consider as impossible centuries past. THE DEVIL'S AIM IS TO CONVINCE MAN THAT THERE'S NO BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN ANYWHERE, AND AIMS TO USE TECHNOLOGY TO BEAUTIFY THIS SIN INFESTED AND BROKEN WORLD....AND THUS RELAX MAN'S MIND THAT WITH ENOUGH MONEY,HE CAN BUILD HIS OWN PARADISE HERE, AND THAT HELL IS WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE MONEY AND YOU ARE SUFFERING.
There is one thing I have noticed, and that when God calls men to a task or to give them a message from heaven, He generally calls those who are busy. Busy about their work. Gideon was busy when the angel came.
When Christ Jesus called some of the disciples they were busy fishing. Matthew was at the tax table. The Shepherds were minding their flocks. God does not call lazy people. There is too much to be done.
God’s workers whether they be ministers or laymen, need to be like Nehemiah who said, "I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down." God desperately needs earnest, consecrated workers in His cause.
No doubt that is why the Angel chose to open the conversation with the words, "The LORD is with thee in your brave plans to liberate Israel."
Gideon was thinking of the strategies he could apply to set his people free. Today, God has given us everything we need to STAND and challenge the devil, and that's the NAME OF CHRIST JESUS;
9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 1
10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Php 2: 9-11)
In Ephesians
11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph 6: 11-13)
God NEEDS YOU AND I TO GO OUT THERE TO DISABUSE THE MINDS THAT DEVIL HAS ABUSED. TO LET THEM KNOW THAT PROSPERITY ISN'T EVIL, BUT IT SHOULDN'T TAKE THE PLACE OF GOD, AND YOU DON'T NEED TO EVIL FOR IT.
GOD WANTS TO KEEP WARNING OF THE FORTHCOMING FIRE THAT WILL MELT THE EARTH.
GOD IS THE OMNISCIENT AND THE OWNER OF ALL BRANCHES OF SCIENCE, AND THE VERY TECHNOLOGY THAT THE ENEMY IS USING TO LEAD MEN ASTRAY, WE CAN ALSO USE TO WIN SOULS BACK FROM THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS, WHEN WE SUBMIT TO THE LEADERSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
ABOVE ALL, WE MUST NOT PRAY AGAINST GOD'S WILL AND WORD. OUR PRAYERS SHOULD BE FOR HIM TO PROTECT HIS OWN AS WE ENDEAVOR BY HIS GRACE AND MERCY TO DEPOPULATE THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS.
DEAR FATHER,EQUIP YOUR CHILDREN FOR THIS GREAT AND HONORABLE TASK IN CHRIST JESUS' NAME, AMEN !

God’s message was one of rebuke, one of censure. As much as to say, "You didn’t bother about Me when things were going well and now you are desperate you are singing out for help." However the prophet's voice met with a favourable response from the people.
But it's a far cry from what what God desires from us today... INSTEAD OF OUR REPENTANCE ACCORDING TO THE TERMS OF HIS WORD FOR THE TIMES FOR US...WE WANT GOD TO OBEY US AND DISOBEY HIS OWN HIGHLY PRICED WORD THAT HE HAS REJECTED THIS CURRENT WORLD;
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. (2Pe 3: 10)
12. Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13. Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2Pe 3: 12-13)
It's the reason God is looking for courageous people like Gideon who will stand up for His Word and satans deceptive tendencies to divert Man's attention from the worship of God by increased knowledge that's churning out architectural, engineering and mechanical wonders we would consider as impossible centuries past. THE DEVIL'S AIM IS TO CONVINCE MAN THAT THERE'S NO BEAUTIFUL HEAVEN ANYWHERE, AND AIMS TO USE TECHNOLOGY TO BEAUTIFY THIS SIN INFESTED AND BROKEN WORLD....AND THUS RELAX MAN'S MIND THAT WITH ENOUGH MONEY,HE CAN BUILD HIS OWN PARADISE HERE, AND THAT HELL IS WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE MONEY AND YOU ARE SUFFERING.
There is one thing I have noticed, and that when God calls men to a task or to give them a message from heaven, He generally calls those who are busy. Busy about their work. Gideon was busy when the angel came.
When Christ Jesus called some of the disciples they were busy fishing. Matthew was at the tax table. The Shepherds were minding their flocks. God does not call lazy people. There is too much to be done.
God’s workers whether they be ministers or laymen, need to be like Nehemiah who said, "I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down." God desperately needs earnest, consecrated workers in His cause.
No doubt that is why the Angel chose to open the conversation with the words, "The LORD is with thee in your brave plans to liberate Israel."
Gideon was thinking of the strategies he could apply to set his people free. Today, God has given us everything we need to STAND and challenge the devil, and that's the NAME OF CHRIST JESUS;
9. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 1
10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Php 2: 9-11)
In Ephesians
11. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph 6: 11-13)
God NEEDS YOU AND I TO GO OUT THERE TO DISABUSE THE MINDS THAT DEVIL HAS ABUSED. TO LET THEM KNOW THAT PROSPERITY ISN'T EVIL, BUT IT SHOULDN'T TAKE THE PLACE OF GOD, AND YOU DON'T NEED TO EVIL FOR IT.
GOD WANTS TO KEEP WARNING OF THE FORTHCOMING FIRE THAT WILL MELT THE EARTH.
GOD IS THE OMNISCIENT AND THE OWNER OF ALL BRANCHES OF SCIENCE, AND THE VERY TECHNOLOGY THAT THE ENEMY IS USING TO LEAD MEN ASTRAY, WE CAN ALSO USE TO WIN SOULS BACK FROM THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS, WHEN WE SUBMIT TO THE LEADERSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
ABOVE ALL, WE MUST NOT PRAY AGAINST GOD'S WILL AND WORD. OUR PRAYERS SHOULD BE FOR HIM TO PROTECT HIS OWN AS WE ENDEAVOR BY HIS GRACE AND MERCY TO DEPOPULATE THE KINGDOM OF DARKNESS.
DEAR FATHER,EQUIP YOUR CHILDREN FOR THIS GREAT AND HONORABLE TASK IN CHRIST JESUS' NAME, AMEN 🙇🙏!
