(screenshot) The Guardian reports: The US military-built pier for carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza will be dismantled and brought home, ending a mission that has been fraught with repeated weather and security problems that limited how much food and other supplies could get to starving Palestinians. Vice Adm Brad Cooper, deputy commander at US Central Command, told reporters in a Pentagon briefing on Wednesday that the pier had achieved its intended effect in what he called an “unprecedented operation”. “Having now delivered the largest volume of humanitarian assistance ever into the Middle East, we’re now mission complete and transitioning to a new phase,” said Cooper. NOTE: The U.S. was forced to halt operations four times on the $230 million pier due to weather events. In fact, in the two months since the pier was up and running, it has been operational for only nineteen days. In that time, about nineteen million pounds of food were brought ashore. If that sounds like a lot, it’s not – it’s about 9,700 tons (8,800 metric tons), which translates to about 646 truckloads, an average of less than fourteen trucks per day. The pier was expected to handle ninety to one hundred fifty trucks per day. Prior to the start of hostilities, an average of 500 truckloads entered Gaza every working day. Food aid from Israel – like US pier – is not more than a trickle According to OCHA records, the amount of aid reaching the people of Gaza has been trending low since May, when Israel destroyed the Rafah crossing, the main point of entrance for aid trucks. Palestinian residents of Jerusalem get 4-12 hours of running water per week Al Jazeera reports: Ir Amim, a Jerusalem-focused Israeli rights group, says that in the midst of a record-breaking heatwave, there is an acute water crisis in Kufr Aqab, a large Palestinian neighbourhood located along the northern edge of occupied East Jerusalem. Kufr Aqab is one of eight Palestinian neighbourhoods that are part of the Israeli-run Jerusalem municipality but are located beyond the Israeli separation barrier. It is home to 100,000 people, roughly 30 percent of East Jerusalem’s Palestinian population. In a marathon session that lasted until early Thursday morning, the parliament gave final approval to extend the emergency law until Nov. 30. Israeli officials used the new law on May 5 to close Qatar-based Al Jazeera within Israel, confiscating its equipment, banning its broadcasts and blocking its websites. Under the law, Israel’s Communications Ministry also briefly seized AP broadcasting equipment from southern Israel after accusing it of violating a new media law by providing images to Al Jazeera. The government returned the equipment to AP several hours later. A bill that would make the emergency legislation permanent is currently making its way through the Israeli parliament. Over a quarter of Israel’s population contemplate emigration: Poll The Cradle reports: More than a fourth of Israel’s population say they would leave the country if they could, according to a new survey published on 17 July by the Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI). The poll results show that about 25 percent of Jewish Israelis and 40 percent of Palestinians with Israeli citizenship agreed with the statement, “If I had a practical possibility to immigrate abroad, I would do so.” Based on the most recent census figures from Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics, this would be proportional to 1,811,750 Jewish Israelis and 835,600 Palestinians with Israeli citizenship, making up more than a quarter of the country’s population. Saskatchewan wins injunction to block CRA from collecting carbon tax Andrew Benson The Saskatchewan government says its application for a court injunction to stop the Canada Revenue Agency from collecting the federal carbon tax from the province has succeeded. “The court ruled in our favour, blocking the federal government from unconstitutionally garnishing money, pending the full hearing and determination of the continuation of the injunction by the Federal Court,” Bronwyn Eyre, the provincial justice minister and attorney general, said Monday. Eyre said garnishing a provincial bank account violates Section 126 of Canada’s constitution. The issue will now go for a full hearing. The showdown between the province and the federal government has been brewing since late 2023, when Premier Scott Moe announced there would be no carbon levy on electric heating in Saskatchewan following a federal decision to exempt home heating oil from the price on carbon, a exemption Moe said primarily favours Atlantic Canada. WATCH: Viral video captures devastating tornado tearing through southern Indiana Harsh weather across the Midwestern United States of America on Tuesday resulted in a tornado, and it was captured tearing the roof off a home in southern Indiana. This dangerous storm pattern continues after Monday’s severe weather outbreak, which brought damage and tornadoes to Oklahoma, reported Daily Mail. Drone footage shows a twister spinning west of Georgetown, Indiana, around 1 pm on Tuesday. The video shows how the tornado lifted parts of a structure and sent debris flying. The storm chasers said the footage shows the tornado ripping off a roof, throwing it 100-feet high in the air. Fox Weather reported that during the tornado, a “Tornado Watch” was in effect for parts of Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, due to severe storms with potential tornadoes, hail, and dangerous winds. On the Trump assassination attempt The establishment strikes Neoliberal Feudalism I usually try to stick to a specific writing schedule, with many future posts written weeks or months in advance. However, sometimes there is a political or cultural development which upends those plans. The last two times this happened was my 10/9/2023 concern that the October 7 Hamas attack could lead to a much-expanded regional war (which has not developed so far) and prior to that 8/24/23 commentary on Prigozhin and Wagner’s leadership’s assassination by the Russian deep state by blowing their plane out of the air. This is a post with some preliminary analysis on the Trump assassination attempt. It is preliminary and future information may come out and contradict this. There are a couple of points to make first though: I previously argued on July 7, 2023 that the establishment would attempt to imprison and/or murder Trump as a symbol of white middle America, regardless of whether he cucked on policy moving forward. I compared him to what the Bolsheviks did to the Romanov’s. In Part 3 of my recent history of Trump’s presidency, I backed off this prediction a bit, noting that most of Trump’s criminal trials had been pushed back past the election, that Trump caved on the $95 billion Ukraine aid bill that contained provisions that would trigger automatic impeachment if Trump became president again and tried to withdraw from Ukraine, and that globohomo was taking defensive steps in case Trump did win. In other words, it increasingly looked like Trump had been skin-suited through backroom deals/pressure and, if he won, he would govern like a Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio. The way people view new events, especially televised events, is always curious to watch. I discussed here how I and a liberal friend back in 2015 viewed a short video and came away with entirely different interpretations, even though whatever information was needed to assess the video was contained within the video itself. What hope is there of agreement on interpretation when what seems like a black and white situation is still disputed? For less clear-cut videos, ones which require interpretation beyond the corners of the video itself, on what basis should one assess information? One requires a grounding mechanism that ties theory to reality, or else it becomes too easy to believe one’s subjective whims. Traditional grounding mechanisms include (1) the scientific method (which has since been corrupted by scientism) and (2) making predictions about the future, and if they’re wrong one updates in a recursive manner one’s worldview. For specific political events, where there is a lot of conflicting information and one cannot expect truth or veracity from the authorities such as the FBI, DOJ, or media, a good rule of thumb fallback is to ask cui bono? - who benefits? It is on this basis that I am approaching the Trump assassination attempt today. Because the FBI and DOJ are utterly corrupt I do not expect an honest investigation from them, and not from the media either. The best information to review is video information that is released contemporaneously or close to it with the event, always with the caveat that it could be superseded by subsequently released information. As mentioned, facts are subject to change, but I note the following so far: An eyewitness reported that he told the police and Secret Service that the shooter was climbing onto the roof and crawling 5-7 minutes before the shooting and they did nothing. Note the shooter position vs Trump position. The distance is only 125m / 400 feet. That there was not a Secret Service team on this roof is inexcusable. The counter-sniper teams saw the shooter and let him get off multiple shots before he was killed, which grazed Trump’s ear, killed a bystander behind Trump and seriously wounded another. The video of the counter-sniper team is here. This photo is amazing: Image The Trump team had in the past three weeks requested additional security from the Department of Homeland Security which the Biden administration turned down: “A source familiar with Trump’s security detail tells Federalist that the former and future president’s detail has been asking for beefed up protection and resources for weeks, but has been rebuffed time and again by Biden’s DHS.” Biden recently told donors, “It’s time to put Trump in the bullseye.” Now, this quote may be taken out of context, but the general principle still holds: the media’s demonization of Trump since 2016 has been extremely intense, consistently calling Trump Hitler 2.0. The New Republic just did it recently: The globohomo media within hours released its talking points, which were to downplay the assassination attempt to the maximum extent possible: Don’t say there was a shooting “targeting Trump”, don’t call it an “assassination attempt”, don’t have “serious” body language or use “color”, don’t say it was “scary” or dramaticize, don’t bring in guests to condemn the attack. Various liberals on social media initially stated the blood was a squib and/or Trump was targeted with a BB gun. Both were false. They also immediately suggested it was a false flag to improve his popularity, and that no one other than Trump was injured or died (someone right behind Trump died and another was seriously injured). Deep state actor Elon Musk endorsed Trump right after the shooting. Here and here are two videos of the assassination attempt. Trump displayed remarkable fortitude when he rose, which you can see in the second video and is quite iconic (after his security detail were very slow in responding; one may note that he had multiple women on his security team, a terrible sign for readiness and competence). One may note that the shooting distance was 125 meters / 400 feet and it was against a stationary target. This is a very easy shot for someone in a prone position with a tripod, perhaps a scope and in clear weather which even beginner shooters could pretty easily hit. It’s a miracle Trump survived. For comparison, Oswald’s assassination of Kennedy occurred from 265 feet, which was much closer, but was against a moving target. Oswald was documented taking 200-500 yard shots in the USMC against stationary targets. Analysis Okay, so let’s put this together. You have a shooter shooting from an outside roof close to where Trump was speaking which should have had Secret Service protection on due to it’s proximity. There is zero excuse for this failure. You had a bystander who warned the police and Secret Service detail 5-7 minutes before the shooting that the shooter was crawling onto the roof and they did nothing. You have counter-snipers who saw the individual but did not engage until after the shooter got off multiple shots. You have the Biden Administration which denied Trump greater protection and Biden said Trump was in the “crosshairs.” Worse is the political situation. The Democrats can’t collectively decide whether to dump Biden and the polls all show he will lose badly against Trump, and their backup Kamala does not poll much better. There are only a couple months until the election and they cannot easily choose someone other than Kamala. The lawfare against Trump has been pushed back past the election and it’s unclear if the far-leftist judge in New York will be willing to jail the national front-runner for a so-called crime no one understands. Also, Trump has not yet announced his Vice President and there is no backup politician who has the depth and intensity of the support that Trump has. It is literally a miracle that Trump is not dead now given how close the shooter was. Some like Librarian of Celaeno suggest we should withhold our judgment until more facts come out and there is an investigation. I pushed back on this, stating yes, we should wait for more facts, but based on a long history of whitewashing that I have no faith in an official investigation to reveal the truth of what’s happened here. Rather, the best evidence is video evidence released contemporaneously with the event, or soon after the event, before it gets scrubbed by censors. I’m a little surprised Librarian is still willing to give the benefit of the doubt to our skinsuited, horrendous institutions even after eight years of in-your-face lies. He also suggests praying for the shooter and his backers, an attitude which is antithetical to my own. So let’s ask cui bono - who benefits if Trump had been killed? Some really unfortunate people suggested that the intention of the shooter was simply to wound Trump in order to boost his popularity - listen, you get off a shot at 400 feet against a moving target and try to wound the guy’s ear. This might be the most stupid line of argument I’ve heard in a long time. Also, does Trump need a boost in popularity? He’s polling multiple points higher than Biden, who is currently in a political struggle for his life. Trump does not need another boost from an attempted assassination. And even if he did, is there anything to demonstrate Trump has someone on his team who would be willing and able to take a shot against him to merely graze his ear and then keep quiet about it for all eternity, assuming the shooter survives? Trump’s governing incompetence is legendary. The level of schizophrenia needed for this position is remarkably high. So the shooter cleary intended to kill Trump. Well, why now? Well, it’s before the Republican National Convention and Trump hasn’t announced his Vice President yet. If he was killed it would create huge chaos with no clear front-runner; the Republicans would be in an even worse situation compared to the Democrats. In other words, the motivation for this shooter to be backed by globohomo institutions is extremely strong. Additionally, if Trump was killed despite being the national frontrunner and in such a public way, in front of tens of thousands of people, that could indeed trigger the fabled Redneck Rebellion (either a real one or sponsored by FBI agents like Ray Epps) which would then give globohomo a 1/6 style rationale to brutally crack down on middle America and possibly cancel elections. Now THAT would have been an excellent result for globohomo — and it was missed by an inch or two. Instead, this is a terrible result: a barely wounded Trump with a big upshot in popularity, motivation for revenge, but no triggered redneck rebellion or RNC chaos. Based on this analysis of who benefits, as well as the information available on the shooting at this time, and it seems likely to me that this shooter, regardless of whatever information comes out about him being a “loner” or “crazy” or whatever, was likely clandestinely supported by the FBI and/or CIA. I was hoping he would be taken alive to be questioned, but unfortunately not even an Oswald scenario for him where we could get a glimpse… Keep in mind, again, that this is my working theory based on my gut feel and review of available information so far as well as my background understanding of globohomo and is subject to change. Alex Jones (who is not reliable but still has interesting points every now and then) suggests that globohomo will next try to poison Trump (they also have a readily accessible CIA heart attack gun) and/or kill Biden, possibly by a false-flag Trump supporter. I hope that Trump views this extremely close call as a wake up call that he can’t negotiate or bargain with globohomo - they want him dead, even if he’s partially skinsuited himself to them - he still symbolizes white middle America and they hate him and want him destroyed. His first term was disappointing the way he bent over backwards to accommodate them, even if certain legal and political realities forced him to. I have also suggested on multiple occasions that Trump needs to pick a Vice President further to the right than he is in order to discourage assassination attempts - Vance, Rubio and the other globohomo guy simply don’t cut it. I suggest Mike Flynn (even though he has some weird beliefs and was possibly compromised in Turkey) or Rand Paul (which I know is a weird and funny pick, but he has the best dissident voting record in the Senate and globohomo both tried to murder him and one of his aides in the past couple years). There are other possibilities - someone suggested to me Erik Prince, the founder of Blackwater, but I havn’t looked into him, or Thomas Massie - but the finalists that have been announced are all mediocre at best. Rubio is a closeted homosexual deep state puppet and Vance was a never-Trumper through the 2016 election and wrote a book which the NYT loved bashing middle America hillbillies. Pass. Vivek is a scam artist. Another hard pass is Tucker Carlson, who is a CIA agent pretending to be a populist and who I covered in the past. Globohomo very likely has to double down after this; if this very close call shook Trump, he will be more determined to root out their filth and corruption. Gamal Abdul Nasser 1965 Egypt’s pivotal role as an ally and supporter of the Palestinian cause degraded dramatically after the suspected assassination of President Gamal Abdul Nasser in 1967 when Nasser was only 52 and known to be in excellent health. Nasser was succeeded by Anwar Sadat who deceived and betrayed Syria during the 1973 October war or the Yom Kippur war as Zionists have named it. Sadat developed a close relationship with war criminal Henry Kissinger which proved deadly for the nationalist movements in the region who opposed normalisation with the genocidal Zionist entity and supported the central Palestinian cause. Kissinger astutely perceived Sadat as someone who could be persuaded to capitulate to Israeli ‘peace’ demands which he did in 1979 with the Camp David agreement. Camp David was considered a betrayal of the Palestinian Resistance liberation movement and of the legitimate claims of neighbouring states to their land and sovereignty. In May 2000 Kissinger wrote about Sadat: He did me the honor of inviting me to fly with him to New York from Washington--we had concluded his trip. And he said to me, "you know, next March the Sinai is coming back to us. It's going to be a big celebration. And since you and I started this, you should come to Egypt and celebrate with us." Then he thought for a moment and he said "no, you're Jewish. It is very painful for the Israelis to give up this territory. And if they see you in Cairo celebrating with us, they'll be very hurt and we mustn't do this to them. I have a better idea," he said. "Let the territory come back. And then, a month later, you and I alone will take a trip through the Sinai and we'll go to the top of Mt. Sinai where I intend to build a synagogue, a mosque, and a church. And this will be a more meaningful celebration of the peace process than if you come to Cairo." In 1973 Kissinger and President Hafez Al Assad met - the first high level meeting between the US and Syria for years. After Kissinger had been speaking for just under and hour, Assad interrupted him and asked if it was his turn to speak. As a professor you have spoken for fifty minutes. The President was an officer and officers are brief. As a military man, I take the place of politicians; professors take the place of politicians. Assad continued: First, we are not or never have been against the people of the United States. I have said this many times and in many places. There is much convincing evidence that we have to be against U.S. policy because it is against Syrian interests and Syrian just aspirations. Had it not been for U.S. assistance in support of Israel, Israel could not remain in occupation and forced out the Palestinians from their lands since 1948 but we are not against the United States as a country or a people. Secondly, our policy is decided in light of our national interests. We want to build our line in a completely independent way. Syria is non-aligned. It is an effective member of the non-aligned group and a member of the Bureau. It cannot be diverted, because it has deep convictions. […] …there can be no peace with justice unless the Arab Palestinian question is settled. The Arab people of Palestine were driven out by force and are now living in camps. How can there be peace without settling their problem? On the Zionist occupation of Syrian Golan, Assad said: If we are to suppose there are such secure borders, history shows we are in the need of secure borders if anyone. Why should secure borders be at the expense of Syria? Let secure borders be at Galilee if anywhere. Under what logic should secure borders be at the expense of the population of Golan? Why should the line of danger be closer to Damascus than Tel Aviv? The distance from the ‘67 border to Damascus is 80 kilometers; the distance from the ‘67 border to Tel Aviv is 135 kilometers. So why should they want secure borders? If the idea behind it is to keep danger away from both capitals, why not? Syria and Egypt depend upon unity for their national security. Presidents Nasser and Hafez Al Assad understood this concept. It is no coincidence that Britain created the settler state of Israel in Palestine to drive these two countries apart geographically, politically, economically and ultimately ideologically. In Europe the clouds do not allow you to think of the projects that change the course of history whereas in Egypt, whoever rules it is capable of changing history. (Attributed to Napoleon Bonaparte) Fast forward to 2024 and Egypt’s state-role in the humanitarian blockade and Zionist genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied territories. I have collated the following reasons why and how Egypt has relinquished its role as a principal loyalist to the Palestinian national liberation movements. 1: Egypt is on economic life-support provided by the US, EU, IMF, Saudi Arabia and UAE and is reliant on good relations with Israel For decades Egypt has been kept afloat economically with multi-billion loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and US allies among the Gulf States. At the end of March 2024 the IMF approved Egypt’s loan program which was duly expanded to $ 8 billion. Concurrently the EU has approved a Euros 7.4 billion “assistance” package to revive Egypt’s flatlined economy. Analysts have linked Egypt’s loan packages to the Zionist ongoing genocide in Palestine. Egypt is adamant that they are opposed to a Palestinian exodus from Gaza into the Sinai but IMF messaging suggests otherwise: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) says there is “excellent progress” in talks with Egypt over a loan program that seeks to “support” the country in weathering its financial woes and handling a potential deluge of Palestinian refugees that Israel seeks to ethnically cleanse from Gaza. Reports of Egypt constructing an enclosure for Palestinian refugees have been circulating since October 7th, gathering traction in February 2024 when satellite images showed an area of land just the other side of the Egyptian Rafah crossing being cleared for construction. Egypt denied any such intentions, claiming that they were preparing an area for the storage of humanitarian aid - aid that has not entered Gaza since 7th October. However according to IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva in November 2023: “The loan could reach up to $10 billion to help the Egyptian economy survive amid local and external factors, including the Israeli onslaught on the neighboring Gaza Strip and tensions in the Red Sea… This coincided with the start of construction work on an “isolated security zone” in the eastern Sinai Desert on the border with the Gaza Strip, which many expect will serve as a buffer zone for displaced Palestinians. “The construction work seen in Sinai along the border with Gaza – the establishment of a reinforced security perimeter around a specific, open area of land – are serious signs that Egypt may be preparing to accept and allow the displacement of Gazans to Sinai, in coordination with Israel and the United States.” In October 2023 - as Israel's brutal military assault on Gaza continued unabated, reports continued to swirl about a big Egyptian trade-off in the works: the absorption of large numbers of displaced Palestinians from the Strip in exchange for easing Cairo's massive debt load – which surpasses $160 billion. Since these rumours of Egypt providing a secondary open air compound for forcibly displaced Palestinians, there have been recent reports of the US “humanitarian” pier being used to ferry Palestinian from Gaza to northern Lebanon, Cyprus and other destinations. Sources within the Resistance in Gaza told Mondoweiss: “The floating pier project is an American solution to the displacement dilemma in Gaza,” the source said. “It goes beyond both the Israeli solution of displacing Gazans into Sinai…and the Egyptian suggestion of displacing [Gazans] into the Naqab [desert].” This should not detract from Egypt being mired in debt to the friends of Israel and enemies of Palestine nor from its role in blockading Gaza and tacitly collaborating with Israel in the collective punishment of the Palestinian people. In March the European Union also pledged 7.4 billion Euros to the economically floundering Egyptian regime. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni travelled to Cairo alongside EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the Greek, Austrian and Belgian prime ministers, and the Cypriot president. All these countries have a vested interest in getting someone else to take on the potential tsunami of a Palestinian refugee crisis. Ostensibly the investment and concessional loans are designed to boost cooperation in areas including renewable energy, trade and security, while delivering grants, loans and other funding over the next three years to support Egypt's faltering economy. The proposed funding includes 5 billion euros in concessional loans and 1.8 billion euros of investments, according to a summary published by the EU. Another 600 million euros would be provided in grants, including 200 million euros for managing migration. (Reuters) The United Arab Emirates, a former British protectorate, normalised relations with Israel in 2020 under the Abraham Accords concocted by the Trump administration to bring Arab states into the Greater Israel/Clean Break plan. In early May, Egypt received the second installment of funding, worth $ 20 billion, from the Ras Al Hekma deal with the UAE intended to develop the luxury Ras Al Hekma resort on the Mediterranean Sea. Cairo had already received $ 5 billion from the UAE deal. Egypt is also looking to close a similar deal with Saudi Arabian investors to enable elite coastal developments on the Red Sea coast near Sharm El Sheikh, including the Ras Ghamila resort. This is in combination with the Saudi futuristic Neom project that is seeking to expand into the Egyptian Sinai. In 2018 - Saudi Arabia signed an investment agreement with Egypt to develop Egyptian lands in south Sinai to become part of a planned mega-city and business zone unveiled by Saudi Arabia last October. The two countries established a $ 10 billion joint investment fund. Reuters reported a Saudi official as saying that Egypt has committed more than 1,000 square kilometers of land in the southern Sinai Peninsula to the NEOM project. Saudi Arabia is in negotiations with the US over bilateral defence pacts while allegedly delaying normalisation with Israel dependent on the establishment of a Palestinian state on the scraps of land and rubble left intact in the ever-dwindling Palestinian zones in the Occupied Territories and Gaza. Concurrently the Saudi regime is cracking down on pro-Palestine protests in the ‘kingdom’ and has allegedly begun removing negative portrayal of Israel from its school curriculum, as has the UAE. In October 2023 journalist Mohamad Hasan Sweidan noted: It seems clear that Riyadh decided, from the beginning of the Gaza war, to prepare the internal environment for the post-Gaza phase, that is, the phase of normalization and settlement. Saudi Arabia insisted on not postponing any festival or celebration, prevented participating artists from showing sympathy for the Palestinians, punished those who sympathized with the martyrs of Gaza from a Saudi platform, and even banned the wearing of the Palestinian Kufiyyeh at Mawsim al-Riyadh, a state-funded annual festival. Bahrain has been actively investing in Egypt, driven by a mutual need for economic cooperation and diversification. The country has been seeking to revive its fortunes through a recently discovered oilfield and plans to become a regional financial hub. Bahrain normalised with Israel in December 2020. UAE and Bahrain were involved in providing a land bridge for Israel during the Zionist genocide in Gaza and West Bank and to counter the Yemeni blockade of the Red Sea shipping routes. Egypt leveraged the perceived threat of an overwhelming refugee crisis as a result of the Zionist genocide to secure the IMF and EU loans and to float the faltering economy. Egypt is now in bed with Gulf States, Jordan and even Israel at the expense of the Palestinian cause - Egypt’s impotence has been further demonstrated by the lack of any military deterrence when faced with the Zionist invasion of Rafah and the shooting of an Egyptian soldier at the border. With unprecedented directives from both governments, mutual investments are set to soar, with Saudi Arabia aiming to ramp up trade to $100 billion. Recent collaborations include a $4 billion deal with Saudi-listed ACWA Power for the Green Hydrogen project. Moreover, strategic initiatives like the memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian Ministry of Military Production and the Saudi General Authority for Military Industries and agreements in petroleum and mineral resources signal deepening economic integration. Ongoing negotiations between Cairo and Abu Dhabi to develop a substantial tract of land along Egypt's Mediterranean coast, potentially valued at $22 billion, could be a game-changer for Egypt's beleaguered economy. According to the CBE report, the proposed contract's value encompasses a significant portion of the Egyptian government's external debt due in 2024, totaling $29.229 billion. This includes interest payments totaling $6.312 billion and debt installments amounting to $22.917 billion. History repeats itself - in 1991, Washington forgave Egypt's debt in return for its support of the US-led coalition against Iraq. Only the NATO-proxy failed state of Ukraine has a debt higher than Egypt’s national debt. Let that sink in. It is difficult to consider Egypt an honest broker in the Hamas-Israel negotiations. The fate of Palestinians is effectively (from a Western perspective) in the hands of nations that have already acquiesced to recognition and approval of the Zionist entity. Egypt is indebted to every single one of those countries and to their controlling interests in the UK, EU and US. Extrication from such a position is virtually impossible. Israeli shrapnel weapons causing severe injuries to Gaza children, say doctors The Guardian reports: Israeli-made weapons designed to spray high levels of shrapnel are causing horrific injuries to civilians in Gaza and disproportionately harming children, foreign surgeons who worked in the territory in recent months have told the Guardian. The doctors say many of the deaths, amputations and life changing wounds to children they have treated came from the firing of missiles and shells – in areas crowded with civilians – packed with additional metal designed to fragment into tiny pieces of shrapnel. Volunteer doctors at two Gaza hospitals said that a majority of their operations were on children hit by small pieces of shrapnel that leave barely discernible entry wounds but create extensive destruction inside the body. Amnesty International has said that the weapons appear designed to maximize casualties. The Guardian spoke to six foreign doctors who have worked at two hospitals in Gaza, the European and al-Aqsa, in the last three months. All of them described encountering extensive wounds caused by “fragmentation” weapons, which they said have contributed to alarming rates of amputations since the war began. “X-rays showed demolished bones with a pinhole wound on one side, a pinhole on the other, and a bone that looks like a tractor trailer drove over it,” said one doctor. HEAD OF USAID SAYS ISRAEL VOWS TO IMPROVE SAFETY FOR HUMANITARIAN WORKERS Al Jazeera reports: Samantha Power, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) administrator, said she has received Israeli pledges to allow aid workers to move more quickly and safely throughout the Gaza Strip. “My whole career has been working in and around conflict areas,” said Power. “I have never seen a more difficult conflict environment for humanitarians to work in.” UPDATE: Middle East Eye reports that on Friday morning, an Israeli strike killed four aid workers in Khan Younis. NOTE: Promises from Israel are not taken seriously by those familiar with Israel’s patterns of behavior. Since the beginning of the attack on Gaza, Israel has made a point of actively thwarting attempts to bring aid to the hungry. Thousands of aid trucks are reportedly waiting just outside Gaza, where Israel has made it extremely difficult to pass, employing complicated and arbitrary procedures. Israel has on multiple occasions fired at individuals waiting for food aid (once killing over 100); Israel has also attacked food aid convoys. Additionally, Israeli citizens have blocked a border crossing for weeks, and attacked and looted trucks they believed were heading to Gaza – all with no meaningful attempt by Israel to stop them. In mid-March, Israel promised to “flood” Gaza with aid, but has failed to do so. The US has for months expressed its desire to see appropriate amounts of humanitarian aid reaching Gaza on one hand, while undermining Gaza’s largest aid organization on the other. Israeli snipers reportedly target fleeing Palestinians in Gaza City Several Palestinians have said that people have been shot dead while trying to flee Gaza City and comply with the Israeli military’s order to leave the area in the north of the Strip. A spokesperson for Gaza’s civil defence agency has said that more than 60 bodies have been recovered in Gaza City’s Shujayea neighbourhood, with dozens more under the rubble. More than 85 percent of buildings in Shujayea are now also uninhabitable, leaving more than 120,000 residents homeless. ‘Destruction of agricultural land for possible establishment of a buffer zone’ Al Jazeera reports: The Israeli military has pulled out of the Shujayea neighborhood of Gaza City, where it had been operating for the past month, destroying the vast majority of its residential buildings and bulldozing large areas of its agricultural land in what looks like the establishment of a buffer zone, leaving the rest of the Shujayea neighborhood in complete ruins. Social services have been eliminated. All remaining residential buildings and public facilities, including schools as well as privately owned facilities like UNRWA facilities in the Shujayea neighborhood, were completely destroyed. As people made their way back to check on their homes and residential blocks, they were shocked by the level of devastation as well as bodies in the streets. THE NEW ARAB ADDS: Gaza’s Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said 85 percent of buildings are now uninhabitable, and Shujaiya has been left a “disaster zone”. The discovery came after Israeli troops ended a two-week operation which Gaza’s Civil Defense and residents said had left the area in ruins. Civil defense teams reported on Thursday, around 60 bodies were found under the rubble of Gaza City’s eastern Shujaiya neighborhood. Khan Younis reduced to ‘sand and rubble’ Al Jazeera reports: Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip has largely been reduced to sand and rubble, says Muhannad Hadi, the UN humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory. Hadi was in Khan Younis for a rare visit from an outside official to the besieged enclave on Tuesday, and says every building he saw there was damaged in some way. Hadi said many of the women he spoke to said they had cut off their hair, as “extreme overcrowding” in temporary shelters and tent camps was leading to the spread of lice. Last week, Israel ordered the forced displacement of 250,000 Palestinians from eastern Khan Younis, according to UN estimates. Biden made little reference to the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza, where more than 38,000 people, mostly women and children, have been killed. Israeli forces also have faced allegations of widespread rights abuses. Smotrich Has Completed Israel’s Illegal Annexation of the West Bank Ha’aretz reports: A few days ago, the constitutional revolution was completed, but no, not in Israel. Few were aware of it, but the Ben-Gvir-Smotrich-Netanyahu government has conspired to carry out a coup in the West Bank. The move seeks to annex the West Bank and perpetuate Jewish supremacy as a guiding principle there. The regime revolution in the West Bank is being conducted in accordance with the commitments Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave to Religious Zionism leader Bezalel Smotrich as part of the coalition agreement. Its essence is the transfer of all the governing powers in the West Bank, except those directly relating to security, from the army to an apparatus headed by Smotrich himself. Land management, planning and construction, enforcement against unpermitted construction, supervision and management of local authorities, professional licensing, trade and economy, management of nature reserves and archaeological sites – all are now in the hands of Smotrich. The new sanctions cover the far-right group Lehava, already listed by the UK, and two founding members of Tsav9, a campaign group that blocked aid from reaching Gaza. The new measures also target outposts, suggesting the Biden administration is prepared to take at least some steps to confront Israel’s creeping land grab on the West Bank. One of the outposts targeted was set up by a regional council, implying that branches of the Israeli state are potentially no longer off limits, when it comes to sanctions. “It appears that they’ve not just targeted extremist settlers but have introduced a linkage to territoriality by citing illegal outposts,” Aaron David Miller, a former state department Middle East negotiator now a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. “It doesn’t take much imagination to conclude that the next target would be [Israeli] government financing for illegal outposts. (photo) US Gaza aid pier to be permanently dismantled after operating for just 20 days The Guardian reports: A US military pier, built two months ago as a way to bring sea-borne humanitarian aid into Gaza, is to be permanently dismantled within a few days, US officials have told reporters. The officials said the pier, which has had to be moved repeatedly to avoid bad weather, would be reconnected to the Gaza coastline on Wednesday but would operate for just the next few days before being disassembled by the US army and navy. The pier would be put back in place only long enough to move humanitarian supplies which have accumulated in Cyprus and on a floating dock offshore since the pier went out of action on 28 June as a result of weather conditions, according to the Pentagon’s current plan. They say it has left them unable to access bank accounts and job offers – and stopped them using Skype, which Microsoft owns, to contact relatives in war-torn Gaza. Microsoft says they violated its terms of service – a claim they dispute. “They killed my life online,” said Eiad Hametto, who lives in Saudi Arabia. “They’ve suspended my email account that I’ve had for nearly 20 years – It was connected to all my work.” He also said being cut off from Skype was a huge blow for his family. With a paid Skype subscription, it is possible to call mobiles in Gaza cheaply – and while the internet is down – so it has become a lifeline to many Palestinians. Some of the people the BBC spoke to said they suspected they were wrongly thought to have ties to Hamas, but Mr Hametto denied he had any such links. “We are civilians with no political background who just wanted to check on our families,” he said. The bizarre Soviet zapping of the U.S. embassy in Moscow, an incident which has been known as "the Moscow Signal," may well have been the opening volley of the Invisible War of electromagnetic weaponry. In 1962, while sweeping the embassy for bugs, American security personnel detected a microwave beam aimed straight at the embassy. Naturally, the Pentagon and the intelligence community became alarmed at the possibility of neurological and behavioral effects on diplomatic personnel. While keeping the knowledge of the microwave beam secret from the suffering embassy staff for 12 years, the CIA launched a project code-named Pandora, which was aimed at understanding the Soviet's motives for the microwave attack. Pandora personnel discovered that the Soviets had been conducting extensive microwave research operations for years, and that they had concentrated their studies on the emotional and mental effects of microwaves. By the summer of 1965, a Pentagon-affiliated think tank called the Institute for Defense Analysis convened a special task force to replicate Soviet experiments and analyze the problem. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) then began experimenting on rhesus monkeys with microwaves at Walter Reed Army Research Institute. At a summit meeting at Glassboro, New Jersey, during June 1967, President Lyndon Johnson asked Soviet Premier Aleksei Kosygin to halt the Moscow Signal. In 1969, leading microwave scientists gathered at the University of Virginia Medical College at Richmond for a three-day symposium on Biological Effects and Health Implications of Microwave Radiation. Microwave authority Dr. Karel Marha of Czechoslovakia declared that microwave bioeffects included pains in the head and eyes, fatigue and overall weakness, dizziness and vertigo, poor night sleep, irritability, fear, hypochondria, tension, depression, inhibition of intellectual functions, and decreased memory. Yet, most of those at the symposium ignored the dangers of human bioeffects. Research biophysicist Dr. Allen H. Frey was more than interested, however. Frey had determined that humans could actually hear pulsed microwaves at frequencies ranging from 300 to 3,000 megahertz. The News Starts to Leak It was not until syndicated columnist Jack Anderson broke the "Moscow Signal" story in 1972 that the public began to learn the truth. Several months after Anderson's microwave column ran, the Soviets accused the U.S. of irradiating chess wizard Boris Spaasky with electronic devices, causing him to lose a championship match to Bobby Fischer. On February 7, 1976, The Los Angeles Times quoted U.S. Ambassador Walter J. Stoessel Jr. as telling his staff that the microwaves could cause leukemia, skin cancer, cataracts, and various forms of emotional illness. Stoessel himself was reportedly suffering from a mysterious illness resembling leukemia, which caused nausea and bleeding in the eyes. Two of his predecessors at the embassy died of cancer. According to National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezhinski, U.S. embassy personnel in Moscow suffer the highest cancer rate in the world. Today, despite a brief respite, the bombardment of the embassy continues, while much of the evidence gathered by U.S. intelligence agencies remains classified. However, raising the lid on Project Pandora has uncovered a box full of secrets about microwave effects. The Eugene Wavelength "A powerful radio signal that may be affecting human health has been monitored in several Eugene locations and in the air three thousand feet above the city," proclaimed The Eugene Register-Guard on March 26, 1978. "The source of the radio signal is unknown." Thus did Eugene, Oregon, become the first major population center to suffer the effects of electromagnetic biohazards. Shortly before the Register-Guard printed the story, a middle-aged Eugene man named Walter Deposkey came down with symptoms remarkably similar to those attributed to microwave sickness. He noted a strange vibration emanating from within his home. He heard voices. He could not sleep. He suffered burning of his cornea. University of Oregon industrial hygienist Marshall van Ert, called upon to investigate Deposkey's complaints, found that he suffered the same symptoms while in the man's home. Disturbed, van Ert recruited several local engineers to investigate. The engineers measured an unusual radio signal which they determined to be capable of producing potential biohazards. After unsuccessfully dogging public health agencies to investigate the matter further, van Ert broke the story in the papers. The Eugene Signal was described as a radio frequency pulse at 4.75 megahertz. It was recorded within at least two local homes and at 3,000 feet above the city. The signal's strength was rated at 500,000 watts - 10 times the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) radio licensed limit. The signal extended as far away as the next town, Corvallis. After receiving 150 documented complaints about the signal, Governor Bob Straub, Senator Mark Hatfield, and Congressman Jim Weaver were prompted to demand an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) investigation. A data analysis by the State Health Department's Radiation Control Section determined that there was "probable cause" linking the complaints to the strange frequency. Said Clifford Shrock, a Textronix, Inc. radio frequency analyst who had written electronics manuals for the CIA and the National Security Agency (NSA), "I was surprised. I'd never seen anything like it before." Reactions to the story flooded in from around the world. Calls came in from people who had similar stories to tell about their own distant areas. Several calls came in from technicians offering their hypotheses about the signal, suggesting a possible link to secret weapons radiation. The people of Eugene began to learn about Electromagnetic Radiation (EMR) biohazards in a hurry. No one, however, could get to the bottom of Eugene's problem. The FCC's Enforcement Division assistant chief, Richard Smith, flatly attributed the frequency to a naval transmitter at Dixon, California, nicknamed the "Dixon Duck." Van Ert and others disputed this conclusion. The Navy denied that the Dixon Duck was responsible. When the EPA technicians finally arrived, however, they proclaimed that the mysterious signal did not exist at all. Van Ert, Shrock and others who had felt the signal and measured it strongly disagreed with them. But the EPA investigators held a press conference at which they discredited the reports of the strange Eugene Signal and promptly returned to their Las Vegas headquarters, where they refused to speak to reporters. After this, the investigation folded altogether. The Eugene Signal remains an official mystery. Although the people of Eugene didn't know it, both the U.S. and Soviet military had been working for years to perfect the use of electro-magnetic frequencies as lethal psychological weapons. Similar symptoms reported in such places as Timmons and Kirkland Lake in Canada were traced to a notorious Soviet radio broadcast dubbed by amateur radio operators "the woodpecker." These effects bear a strong resemblance to the biohazards inherent in invisible weapons like the Electro-magnetic Pulse (EMP) under development by the Pentagon. "The Woodpecker" - On October 14, 1976, radio communications throughout the globe were disrupted by powerful radio waves emanating from the Soviet Union. The broadcasts appeared irregularly and varied between very high and very low frequencies. When the U.S., Canada, Great Britain and the Scandinavian countries protested the broadcast, the Soviets apologized, blaming the disturbance on "experiments." After this, the nature of the wavelengths changed, and huge electro-magnetic standing waves formed, thousands of miles long, penetrating the earth and extending into the ionosphere. Because of its characteristic sound, the signal was dubbed "the woodpecker." The sound which ham radio operators heard all over the world sounded like the tapping of a pencil on a table at between eight and fourteen times a second. The wavelength was traced to alleged experiments in the Soviet cities of Riga and Gomel. The standing waves accompanying these experiments stretched down both coasts of North America and along the Eastern frontier of the Soviet Union. "The woodpecker" has been blamed for subsequent shifts in weather patterns resulting from altered trade winds. The change of winds created a drought in the western United States, with severe effects on farming and the U.S. economy. Several agencies fear that such standing waves might well have caused the disintegration of ships - including oil tankers - in the Atlantic. But the potential effect of these standing waves on human beings is cause for much greater concern. Just as the human body's nervous system operates electro-magnetically, so the earth has an electro-magnetosphere which, scientists claim, can be altered to produce dramatic weather shifts. In fact, the earth's ionosphere oscillates at approximately the same frequency as human brain waves, making it a perfect "carrier" off of which electromagnetic radiations - in the brain wave range - can be bounced without any change of frequency. The relationship between the elec- tromagnetosphere and the electromagnetic basis of the human body can be exploited as a strategic weapon.
