The value of your vote is determined by the amount of #SME you have staked, the stake of the SoMeean you are upvoting and how active both of you are on #SoMee. This of course is simplified, but it'll give you a good enough idea. Your activity on SoMee is called #Gravity. Right now with the current stake amount in votes being used, a typical vote is worth on average 1 SME per 5700 SME staked or #SMEP. I came to this amount by watching the #votes of 4 different accounts that I have access to their information, like the #VoteStrength, SME Power(SMEP) they have and #VotePower they had when voting. Then I checked the SME value of the posts before and after the votes. Using some basic math, the range was between 5300-6100 SMEP per 1 SME of value per vote. This is only valid as of this moment with the number of users and amount of staked SME in use on average. The amount will change as we grow, which I'll explain in another SoMee User Tip. One of the things I like about $sme is the fact that the higher the price goes the less incentive there is to sell. It might seem counter intuitive at first but with the upvoting rewards system the more sme you hold the higher the reward. One would think that at 1$ every single whale will sell but that will not be the case and here is why. If you hold 10 000 000 sme, you at todays rate will give upvote at 1600 sme per upvote. You refill your upvoting power at 10% per 12hour and each upvote take 2% of voting power. Logically you will use 10% per 12 hours of your voting power to always get the maximum sme reward. Lets say 5 upvote in the morning and 5 upvote in the evening to keep a 12h space. Lets also make a round number of 1500 sme average for each of your upvote. 1500 sme x 10 upvote daily = 15000 sme -> Daily <- or -> 5 475 000 per years <- 50% of it goes to the upvoted and 50% to you. At 1$ this is 228 125$ per month!!! Nobody in is right mind would sell his staked sme. It is as simple as that. Of course number will change as more user join but it doesn’t change the fact the the incentive to keep the coin out of the market is way stronger than the one to sell it.
