Holy Mother of Based. Love seeing citizens excersizing their 2nd amendment rights in unison to to deter oppression, personally. Ive seen this happen several times this year now in different cities, where people decided to organize armed protests to protect homeless encamptments as their sweeped to ensure belongings are not thrown out.
This is a growing trend as often times when cities sweep homeless encampments, they will forcibly remove the occupants, and literally just throw out all their shit, with them feet away, and use armed cops with the threat of violence to prevent them from saving some of their possessions from being thrown out. Many homeless people lose their ID in these sweeps, which is part of the vicous cycle[2]
Despite the many videos around the nation of homeless people crying and begging to retrieve some of their items as heartless city workers throw their lifes possessions out in front of them, with armed cops ready to shoot should the victims resist in any effective manner, cities have not changed their policies. So citizens are taking direct action.
Here is an article I found on of the initial Dallas armed protest, titled activate karen voice: "Armed activists blocked Dallas workers from cleaning a homeless camp. That’s unacceptable. This is not how we do things in this country."[3]
What do you think? Are these armed protestors defending the rights, property, and dignity of the homeless doing the right thing, or doing a wrong thing?
