• Today was one of those jam-packed days where time seemed to fly by in a whirlwind. From gym sessions to back-to-back meetings in London and a dash of homework, it felt like a wild rollercoaster ride. But among the chaos, there was one saving grace that kept me going—the glorious sunshine that graced the city.

Anyway, my day began with good intentions, as I convinced myself to squeeze in a quick half-hour gym session. Armed with good determination, I hit the running machine like a champ. Well, that was until I accidentally pressed the "Emergency Stop" button instead of "Increase Speed." Talking about killing the momentum! With a sheepish grin, I restarted the machine, pretending like nothing happened. Let's just say my fitness journey started with a bit of comedic flair.
As lunchtime approached, I found myself navigating the bustling streets of London for a series of meetings. Armed with a notepad and putting on a professional adult look, I strolled through the city between meetings.
In between the chaos, I managed to sneak in a brief moment of solace. I found myself strolling along the Thames River at the picturesque South Bank.

The sun's warm rays caressed my face, providing a much-needed dose of Vitamin D and a temporary escape from the hectic pace of the day. With each step, I let the serenity of the river wash away the stress, reminding myself that even in the busiest moments, it's essential to pause and savour the little joys.
As the day drew to a close and I returned home, I mustered up the energy for some additional tasks and homework. But as luck would have it, my computer decided to play tricks on me. It seemed determined to test my patience with a series of spontaneous restarts and mysterious error messages. Each time, I found myself laughing at the absurdity of it all. I mean, who needs a stress ball when you have a mischievous computer as a daily companion?
Among the whirlwind of a busy day, there's always room for a chuckle or two. From gym mishaps to spontaneous computer antics, and stolen moments by the river, life's quirky surprises keep us on our toes. And let's not forget the ultimate saviour—the glorious sunshine that sprinkles warmth and laughter on even the busiest of days.

So, embrace the chaos, find humour in the unexpected, and keep smiling because, in the end, laughter truly is the best remedy for a hectic day.
    Happy Wednesday everyone!

It's another Lovely Monday morning from my end here and I trust that every hiver is doing great. Special thanks to all of us that have been consistent in dropping our thoughts in this weekly engagement.
This is my entry in response to week 65 edition 1 engagement which I tagged my perception on marriage.
It's apparent that marriage isn't a new word neither a new thing but what has been seen and taught in different strata. Follow as I share my own understanding and other things on marriage.
    What's marriage?
Marriage can be seen as a union between a man and a woman with the purpose of fulfilment of life's goals. Marriage is the coming together of a man and a woman for companionship, procreation, and achieving greater, more and better results. The definition of marriage is enormous and has been given different perspective.
    My thought on marriage.
Marriage is for a matured man and woman who have realised their pursuit of life's goals and would want to partner together to live as one which is also known as husband and wife. Marriage is not meant for children simply because there are many hurdles in the course of the journey that's why one must prepare himself or herself adequately before entering into it. The maturity here involves the capacity to endure, take critical decisions and implementation, have high tolerant level, perseverance, patience and broad heart of love to condone any form of mistakes.
    As a married man, there are certain things I thought of that is not the exact of what I see in the marriage. So also there are things I never thought of but suddenly they became a reality as a result of the marriage. Some of the differential factors I can figure out includes;

When your marriage is cross cultural then it requires some ample time for some things to take shape because of the differences in background. Perhaps how things are done in her place might not be same as how it's obtainable in your place. This discrepancy can either build or mare the entire marriage.
Sometimes the unmarried think that things will automatically turn out good immediately they get married but is not like that. Don't make any costly assumption about anything.
What has being married taught me?
Hmmm this question is very interesting because as far as I am concerned, is one of the peak of marriage. Any marriage that you can't deduce lessons and no change that means something might be wrong somewhere.
    A lot has changed about myself which I would like to highlight some this;
I use to find it difficult to share some vital things I hold with high esteem for myself but the marriage made me learned that whatever I have is for everyone. Therefore I have been transformed in the aspect of giving out gifts etc to people.
Being married has taught me to build emotional balance and intelligence due to the exposure I received to the life's challenges and most importantly from the children.
Marriage has open my eyes to see the good , bad and ugly side of life which brings out the real maturity in me.
Marriage is a training institution though a life long affair based on my religion which keeps trainee always on check as hurdles unveils itself. Certain habits that is not correct has been transformed due to marriage.
I believe no matter the achievement or accomplishment of one man or individual can't be compared to the output of two people that are united together. Therefore marriage enables a man to achieve more.
Marriage also creates or betters the vision and goal of an individual. At times you may not understand the clear cut of your assignment but when you get married, everything will be unveiled as you continue to journey. Personally my dreams have become 70% reality already because of marriage.

    CONCLUSION
Don't marry because of what you can see now but marry vision which could later translate into broad reality. I'm a testimonial to this however I am hopeful for more blessings.
thanks for visiting my blog and all the comments appreciated.

As I woke up this morning, what crept into my heart is the present shift of government that just happened in my lovely country Nigeria. The new regime began on 29th May, 2023 with a handing out proceedings which led to the emergence of the new government.
Immediately the new president came on board, in his first speech the issue of fuel subsidy removal was included which really shook the books and crannies of the nation. The next day, the fuel price per litre increased to 530 naira which really distorted lots of things presently.
In my dear nation, the price of fuel virtually determines the price of every other products in the market.
Yesterday, I embarked on a journey to a new by local government Area hmmm the transport fare was increased almost by 100% I had to pay like that. How would one cope with this? In a country where the economic status remains the same with no increase in salary/welfare package how would one survive this sudden change? Is there hope for us again?
I will like to share some practical ways that would help you stay relevant and empowered even amidst of the present predicament.

Kindly diverse or diversify your income source instead of depending on one. I realised that one of the stable income source is hive blockchain. It's high time for people to delve into hive and explore all the possibilities that had been dormant there. Since my journey in hive, I have really improved my writing skills and passion towards other communities.
Your hobby can also determine your choice of a community where you can be engaged with activities.
Patience is another virtue that I would those of us from this country to implore. Let's give the new government time to settle down in order to start fixing the things they can.
Since there's no reasonable increase in the income, one must try to shrink some things that might not be of urgent need. Scale of preference is cardinal in the present situation. What you can't afford just be calmed .
Time management is also very important. Don't waste much time on unproductive events.

    FINALLY
Don't compete with anyone because all fingers aren't equal neither are they same. Persevere, pay the price and keep striving towards improving your finances by securing more opportunities to better your life and family.

  • Patience, Steadfastness, Endurance in what God has destined. This will make us strong to face hardships and will earn us rewards by lifting the troubles for lots of goodness in our life. It's not easy, not at all easy, but it's our trust in him and about being strong.

Good day parents here and all over the world. Am happy to be with you to share my thoughts with you. Nurturing a life is not an easy task at all, most times we have a picture of what we wish that we would have become and how maybe our parents did not get it with us so we want the story to be different with us. As we interact with friends and family on a daily basis we have a mental picture of what we want from our children.

To bring those mental pictures to play it's either our choice how all will be possible. On my part I have this big picture that I wish it plays out in regards to my children.

Now the big question *what kind of parent would you like to be?*

I will want to be a parent that is always there for her kids. My children are still tender and most times they can't help themselves so it becomes so frustrating to them when they need something and they don't get it.

Let me be that parent that hears the heart of my kids. Most times children can't express themselves, so they need you to just understand everything. When they are hungry, they most times can't open up to say they need to eat, so giving them that listening ear and observing them always helps me to know they need to eat.

To be a parent that gives them that space to grow is my wish, a times grown adults don't give space for the childrens excesses forgetting that one time they behaved in such nasty manners too.

A parent that does not appear the rod is who I wish to be. Oh yes!!! There is time for everything, so giving that discipline will not make them for rather they become the better version of themselves. I have a special cain that I use in exclusive moments so when it comes out they know they have committed.

*What kind of parent you truly are?*
We all are work in progress, a times I get so busy that it becomes difficult for me to keep to what I desire but am trying my best to maintain what I have in mind. Am that parent that gives my children the best I can afford, am their nanny so we do things together. I do my best to do the first coaching academically and otherwise.

Working to improve myself is my uttermost priority. I do my best to be patient with them. Just yesterday my son came home from school with a scale on his face the way I approached the matter I noticed he was not happy so I kept mute so as not to offend him. Later in the even i quitely asked again and he told me the person that did that to him. Patience is highly needed when it comes to caring for the children. Also I do some study on child development in relation to temperament and the likes.

It's my believe that I have spoken so much and little about this topic. Thank you for visiting my blog friends see you next time.

One of my favorite subjects when I first started drawing was aged portraits. This was probably because of the wrinkles on their faces and the patience I needed to drive these out (layer by layer) without ruining the drawing.

After so long a while, I saw this reference which I'd surprisingly gotten years back and felt like springing into action once again. It really was exciting making this drawing and I enjoyed every part of it. At some point, I was hearing Enya's **'Caribbean's Blue'**. So you can check it out later on...

  • Sometimes people "friends" closest to you can stab you in the back, play with your emotions, manipulate you and spread lies. These pathological liars, when caught, flee and spread their mischief from a distance.
A good spouse is a blessing! Thank you for being my rock!

Put in the effort, take a deep breath, sip that cup of coffee and let God handle the rest

It's finally the Weekend, Sun is Shining, Flowers have bloomed, Birds are singing and SoMee newsfeed is calling - That seems to me a wonderful day.. Enjoy!

  • ### Introduction:
Change they say is constant, even though it is a very difficult process. Chelsea FC performance this season was below their expectations, despite the new owners huge investment. Hey buddies! Iam @eberechi. Today, let's talk about an exciting topic in the world of football today: Chelsea FC's ownership change and how it affected their performance this season. Despite investing over £600 million, the team faced some challenges. Please follow me as I explore what happened!

    ![Screenshot_20230523-125724.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmZmrcqzaDHFfXdBAndKKGxWyKAeog8ShAuJJ5bEx9wemV/Screenshot_20230523-125724.png)

    ### The New Owner and Investments:
Chelsea FC, a famous football club based in London, went through an ownership change recently. A new owner, someone who invests money into the club, took charge. The new owner was determined to make Chelsea FC one of the best clubs in the world. To achieve this goal, the new owner invested a massive amount of money, over £600 million, to buy new players and strengthen the team. They brought in talented footballers from all around the world, hoping to improve the team's performance and win trophies.

    ![Screenshot_20230523-125806.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmTn3nZRCeknQFkUT9K65aqMTq3eTEuYfuT8YM7RTEWH17/Screenshot_20230523-125806.png)

    ### Challenges and Team Adjustments:
Although the new owner invested a lot of money, it's important to understand that football is a team sport. Building a strong team isn't just about buying individual talents; it also requires teamwork, strategy, and time for players to gel together. When new players join a team, they need time to adjust and get used to playing with their new teammates. This process can take some time, as players need to understand each other's style of play and develop good chemistry on the field. Sometimes, this adjustment period can affect a team's performance, especially in the short term.

    ![Screenshot_20230523-125905.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmXeqCq5Pz2jDaaxxLPG1DDnZdEk7t7FyG222dkuhtagNJ/Screenshot_20230523-125905.png)

    ### Competition and the Importance of Balance:
In football, every team faces tough competition from other clubs. Even with significant investments, success isn't guaranteed. Other teams also spend money to strengthen their squads, creating a highly competitive environment. While Chelsea FC made substantial investments, it's worth noting that success in football isn't solely dependent on money. Building a successful team requires a delicate balance between skilled players, effective coaching, and a clear game plan. It's not just about having the most expensive players but also about how well they work together.

    ### The Role of Time and Patience:
Building a strong team and achieving success takes time. Even with substantial investments, it's important to be patient and give the players and coaching staff time to develop and improve. Rome was never built in a single day, as the old saying goes! Sometimes, teams go through transitional periods, which can affect their performance. New players need time to adapt, the coaching staff needs time to implement their strategies, and the team as a whole needs time to grow and improve.

    ![Screenshot_20230523-125824.png](https://images.hive.blog/DQmeyMJNFTJtXvwvXGCajiRyp8bovQgQhgmEAtKoa7utfzX/Screenshot_20230523-125824.png)

    ### Conclusion:
In conclusion, the ownership change at Chelsea FC brought about significant investments and high expectations. However, success in football is a complex process that involves more than just spending money on new players. Teamwork, strategy, and time for players to adjust and develop chemistry are crucial factors.

While Chelsea FC faced challenges this season despite their investments, it's essential to remain patient and allow the team to grow. With time, dedication, and continued support, Chelsea FC has the potential to achieve success in the future. So, let's keep supporting our favorite team and cheer them on as they strive to reach new heights!

You can call this HBD 2030. This vision is only applicable to Hivers in developing nations. Of course, we don’t know the future. We don’t know what will happen to HIVE and HBD a year from now. How much more 7 years from now? This limitation should not prevent us from dreaming.
Hivers in developed countries need a bigger quantity of HBD to sustain them when they will be out of work in their old age. In our case, I think 256 HBD per month is enough to provide our necessities, for my wife and me. I will be 63 by that time and she will be 53.
Originally, I intend to have 100 HBD by the end of the year. That will be my seed money. @gadrian suggested that I should aim for 120 HBD at least for me to receive two HBD per month with the current 20% interest.
After a few days, such a suggestion triggers me to contemplate the possibility of creating a retirement plan using HBD. Let us say I started with 120 HBD by the end of the year. If I will earn two HBD per month with that amount of savings, I will end up the year with 144 HBD.
The computation of course is not simple as that. It is based upon the idea that everything is fixed such as the interest rate and the quantity of HBD I will be accumulating per month. If one of these will change, then my computation will no longer be applicable.
For the sake of clarity and illustration, I beg your patience to allow me to build a hypothetical situation with fixed numbers. This will make my computation easier.
Let us say that I can double the amount of HBD I have every year and so by the end of 2024, I will have 240 HBD in my savings and this will earn 48 HBD in a year.
By 2025, I will have 480 HBD and will be earning 96 HBD the whole year.
By 2026, I will have 960 and will be earning 192 HBD for the entire year. With doubling capacity in my hypothetical situation, by 2030, I will have 15,360 HBD in my wallet and will earn 3,072 HBD in a year.
With 256 HBD per month, that’s 12,800 PHP every month or a total of 153,600 PHP within a year. I think I can live with that provided that the standard of living will not be so far from what it is now.
Again, this is just speculation. Reality is more complicated than my computation. Nevertheless, this gives me an idea about the future direction I want to take with HBD.
    Grace and peace!

Buying HIVE tokens, staking them, creating content, and engaging with the community. These activities are simple but not easy to do.
Buying HIVE for instance requires saving. For some countries, that would be common-sense action. But for countries with less than $300.00 salary per month, setting aside $20.00 every payday for saving is quite a challenge. Not unless you believe that Hive will give you a high return in years to come despite the inherent risky character of all types of investment in cryptocurrencies and that includes even the time and money you invested in Hive.
Staking too is something new that I only learn here on Hive. Some don’t like the idea of locking their token for a certain period due to FUD. Others prefer to hold their tokens in their liquid form for them to take advantage of sudden price changes and could instantly take their profit in such a trade. I think that is one strategy that I would consider if I have a huge capital to buy HIVE since from time to time some people out there love to pump the price of our token only to see it return to its previous price after a day or two.
Creating content at first was easier for me, particularly those Splinterlands-related articles. The last article I wrote for Splinterlands was on 11 January this year. Though steemmonsters upvoted that post, writing an article exclusively for Splinterlands without mentioning other DApps on Hive is a kind of rule that I struggle to keep. Perhaps, that is one reason why I have a low motivation writing for Splinterlands now. I prefer from time to time to write articles that combine the stories of my journey on Hive instead of just focusing on one front end. I think that is ideal for though different decentralized apps on Hive have their specific niche, still, they are all part of one big Hive family. The success of one platform is something to be celebrated by other platforms, not unless of course each tribe wants to advance its own goals without regard for the success of others. Such a spirit promotes polarization and I consider it not healthy for a very young but promising digital country like Hive.
Lastly, engaging with the community. I think I should remind myself that Hive has many communities within the larger community. And so, it is better to think of such engagement not with a single but with the diverse communities on Hive. Among the primary tribe tokens in my wallet, I could say that in terms of engagement, it is the CTP tribe that I am most active with, though it is somewhat reduced since January due to my academic pursuit and my new assignment related to my work.
Nevertheless, despite my busy schedule, I am still doing my best to complete my 30,000 staked CTP on listnerds.com. As I keep saying, once I am done with that, I will shift my focus to LeoFinance, which I could say is the second tribe that I am more engaged with. My goal in this platform for this year is to grow my stakes to 5,000 LEO stakes.
I do believe that all four activities mentioned above are necessary to increase one’s return in the Hive blockchain. I consider thinking of ROI not as a self-serving goal, but as part of the basic reality of life and of being human. We cannot escape economic reality, particularly in the kind of challenges that we are facing now from the hands of the parasitical class.
In terms of ROI, I think every Hiver has this aim in mind, to realize such a return after some years. I am not a fan of fast money, of huge returns in the shortest time possible.
Observing nature, we see that growth requires time and patience is the most important virtue one must have to succeed in this new world of finance and technology.

  • WHEN PARENTS GET OLD ...
Let them grow old with the same love that they let you grow ... let them speak and tell repeated stories with the same patience and interest that they heard yours as a child ... let them overcome, like so many times when they let you win ... let them enjoy their friends just as they let you … let them enjoy the talks with their grandchildren, because they see you in them ... let them enjoy living among the objects that have accompanied them for a long time, because they suffer when they feel that you tear pieces of this life away ... let them be wrong, like so many times you have been wrong and they didn’t embarrass you by correcting you ...

LET THEM LIVE and try to make them happy the last stretch of the path they have left to go; give them your hand, just like they gave you their hand when you started your path!
