The Secret Of The Indomitable Strength Of Israel’s Barbarianism Upon Palestinians And the World’s Impotency

    by Mr. Nobody Zahir Ebrahim

How Can Israel Get Away With It?

If the world public really wants to understand the secret of the indomitable strength of Israeli barbarism upon unarmed Palestinian civilian men women and children with such impunity before the impotent world, fully aided and abetted by Western governments, with full propaganda covered by the Western news media, they have to understand the power of the name Rothschild and its ability to hide in plain sight because it owns all governments and all news media…

    Statement on Israel-Palestine

United States of America, Monday, November 6, 2023

If the world public really wants to understand the secret of the indomitable strength of Israeli barbarism upon unarmed Palestinian civilian men women and children with such impunity before the impotent world; carried out with direct American and Western European governments’ aiding and abetting; executed by the indoctrinated foot soldiers of Zionism to save the Jews from the Amalekites, no differently from the indoctrinated foot soldiers of the Third Reich who carried out unspeakable horrors upon civilian populations under the blaring national trumpet of Lebensraum, and also not any differently from the unspeakable horrors inflicted upon civilian populations by the American and British Allied bombers from Dresden to Tokyo, not to forget Hiroshima and Nagasaki under their own blaring national trumpets; while the international banksters and Wall Street profited from enabling both sides in the merciless killings not just of the foot soldiers of nationalism and patriotism, but the millions of unarmed civilian populations treated as dispensable cattle, burnt and obliterated alive in an unparalleled real Shoah for which the heavens too must shed tears in shame at its own criminal culpability for exiling such an inhuman monstrous species to earth and calling this ugly creature “al insaan”, human being; the world public must first get acquainted with the god-like power of the name Rothschild. And its ability to hide in plain sight because it owns all Western governments, all politicians, and all news media.

Even today very few Westerners have actually ever seen the Balfour Declaration, let alone know that it is addressed to Lord Rothschild. Forget about ever understanding its short treacherous proclamation by the British Empire to the Jews. If they did, they’d at least wonder WHY; ask WHY? Ask who is this Rothschild character. Does it still exist? Why has no one from a high school student of world history to a university student of any discipline ever actually read the short sentence-long Balfour Declaration?

    The Balfour Declaratiion
Very few people in the world have also ever seen this map of Eretz Yisrael…. for then they’d stop listening to their criminal news media and criminal politicians in suits waving Israeli propaganda of anti-Semitism and self-defense against the Amalekites in the world’s silly ignorant face with such arrogance.

Also, let’s stop fictitiously separating Jews from Zionists, and The Jewish State from The Zionist State for cowardly political correctness.

And just because there are some handful of vocal outstanding moral Jews among the 20 million or so total number of Jewry in the world — from few hundred to few thousand, less than one percent, for even if their conscience was at least 1 percent strong, that would have seen 2 million Jews protesting worldwide against Israeli barbarism — who don’t treat goy as inferior to them, and value their life as much, and at times even more than their own; including the handful of secular Jews such as the Jewish Voices for Peace, and the tiny Neturei Karta Anti-Zionist Jewish orthodox sect, who rise-up in protest marches, and even a tinier handful in Jewish organizations like International Solidarity Movement (ISM) who actively stand up in the Holy Land of Jewish oppression to defend the Palestinians and take IDF sniper bullets to their head like the young 22 years old British activist and photo journalist Tom Hurndall , or mercilessly and deliberately butchered under IDF Caterpillar D9 armored bulldozers like the courageous young 23 years old American activist Rachel Corrie… all shouting Not In Our Name in virtually every Western country, including in Israel itself; and I of course salute these handful of real human being Jews as the real “Yahweh’s Chosen People” for they are better than us comatose 1.6 billion cowardly Muslims who all seem to be WAITING FOR ALLAH… ; let’s not forget that All Zionists in Israel are JEWS… and they claim so themselves, and most Jewry outside Israel, all mostly in important economic positions (none flip burgers in McDonald’s) support The Jewish State.

Let’s just have at least this little self-respect and moral decency left among the spectating world to call a spade a spade!

To really figure out why Israel can get away with its barbarism … and why wars are necessary … as David-Ben Gurion had famously explained the utility of revolutionary times to remake world order :

“What is inconceivable in normal times is possible in revolutionary times, and if at this time the opportunity is missed and what is possible at such great hours is not carried out – a whole world is lost.”,

  • New worries as polio virus detected in Gaza sewage – Day 285

New health crisis unfolds in Gaza as poliovirus found in sewage

Andalou Agency reports: A new health crisis unfolded in the bombarded Gaza Strip with the detection of poliovirus in sewage, the Gaza Health Ministry revealed on Thursday.

A ministry statement noted that “tests on sewage samples, conducted in coordination with UNICEF, confirmed the presence of the poliovirus.”

The statement added that the presence of the virus in sewage, which flows through areas with displaced persons and residential zones due to infrastructure destruction, “represents a new health crisis.”

The situation is exacerbated by severe overcrowding, scarce and contaminated water supplies, accumulated garbage, and the Israeli blockade on hygiene supplies.

The ministry warned that the detection of the virus in sewage puts thousands of residents at risk of contracting polio.

UNICEF and other organizations have been warning for months of the possibility of an outbreak if they weren’t able to get on top of vaccination programs and decontamination efforts in Gaza. But that has been impossible due to Israel’s ongoing war and the limits imposed by the Israeli military on the entry to Gaza of hygiene kits, vaccines and other essential medicines.

Amnesty Int’l calls on Israel to end mass incommunicado detention and torture of Palestinians from Gaza

From Amnesty’s website: Israeli authorities must end their indefinite incommunicado detention of Palestinians from the occupied Gaza Strip, without charge or trial under the Unlawful Combatants law, in flagrant violation of international law, said Amnesty International.

The organization documented the cases of 27 Palestinian former detainees, including five women, 21 men and a 14-year-old boy, who were detained for periods of up to four and a half months without access to their lawyers or any contact with their families, in connection with this law. All those interviewed by Amnesty International said that during their incommunicado detention, which in some cases amounted to enforced disappearance, Israeli military, intelligence and police forces subjected them to torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment.

The Unlawful Combatants Law grants the Israeli military sweeping powers to detain anyone from Gaza that they suspect of engagement in hostilities against Israel or posing a threat to state security for indefinitely renewable periods without having to produce evidence to substantiate the claims.

“While international humanitarian law allows for the detention of individuals on imperative security grounds in situations of occupation, there must be safeguards to prevent indefinite or arbitrary detention and torture and other ill-treatment. This law blatantly fails to provide these safeguards. It enables rampant torture and, in some circumstances, institutionalizes enforced disappearance,” said Agnès Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International.

“Our documentation illustrates how the Israeli authorities are using the Unlawful Combatants Law to arbitrarily round up Palestinian civilians from Gaza and toss them into a virtual black hole for prolonged periods without producing any evidence that they pose a security threat and without minimum due process. Israeli authorities must immediately repeal this law and release those arbitrarily detained under it.”

Oxfam report: Water War Crimes: How Israel has weaponized water in its military campaign in Gaza

Oxfam’s new 66-page report, released Wednesday, documents how since October, Israel has systematically reduced the water available in Gaza by 94%, with just 4.74 liters per resident obtainable each day—less than a third of the recommended minimum amount in emergencies.

An average of five of Gaza’s water and sanitation sites have been taken out of service every three days, Oxfam found, reducing water production from sources in the Gaza Strip by 84% by late May.

Gaza City, the enclave’s most populous city before it was largely destroyed by the bombardment, has lost 88% of its water wells.

With Israel blocking fuel deliveries as well as food, medical, and other necessary aid, 100% of the city’s water desalination plants have been put out of service, making it impossible to treat seawater and brackish water to make it safe to drink.

Seventy percent of sewage pumps and 100% of wastewater treatment plants have also been destroyed throughout the enclave.

West Bank – Israeli military drops threatening leaflets over Jenin camp

The Israeli military has reportedly dropped leaflets in the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, threatening to kill wanted young men if they do not surrender themselves.

The leaflets, dropped via reconnaissance aircraft, were dropped near a mosque on Mahyoub Street in the camp.

The Jenin area has long been a center of Palestinian resistance to Israel’s occupation in the West Bank and has witnessed some of the most intense fighting between Israeli forces and Palestinian armed groups since October 7.

L.A. city council considers funding former IDF soldiers to patrol its streets

The Intercept reports: The Los Angeles City Council is considering whether to give public funds to private, armed security patrols to protect its religious communities, following a protest against the marketing of West Bank settlement properties at an LA synagogue last month that turned violent.

Anti-war group CodePink, which organizes pro-Palestine protests, said of the event, “The protest was solely focused on the illegal sale of Palestinian land. We respect religious practices and make sure our actions are directed toward real estate activities, not against worshippers,” No religious services were scheduled at the time of the real estate event.

Pro-Israel counter protesters were also present at the same time, and reportedly used violence and racial slurs.

Codepink claimed that Los Angeles police employed a double standard against the pro-Palestine protestors.

In the immediate wake of the incident, city council members introduced a motion to give $1 million to several Jewish security organizations that would expand their work around Jewish schools, religious institutions, and neighborhoods – in spite of the fact that the protest was not against Jews.

Magen Am, a nonprofit that runs armed patrol services and firearm training programs for the Jewish community, was named as the recipient of $350,000 in the motion. The group is largely made up of former Israeli soldiers, along with U.S. military veterans, according to the group’s website and social media posts.

The majority of the former Israel Defense Forces soldiers in the group are “lone soldiers,” according to several reports, the term for individuals with no direct ties to the state of Israel who immigrate there to serve in the nation’s military.

The city council has since introduced a new motion, which would give $2 million to various faith groups that want to hire additional security and does not mention Magen Am or any recipients by name. But LA activists are still concerned that city funds will go to an armed group with hard-line political stances.

“The fact that Magen Am was even named in that original motion as a recipient of money, that exposes the intention,” said Miguel Camnitzer, an activist with Jewish Voice for Peace. The group is alarmed that city leaders are choosing to fund individuals who served a military that commits ethnic cleansing and genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.

“It’s the same military that’s enacting this genocide, and we’re going to have them patrolling our streets with guns seems wild to me,” Camnitzer said. The group also notes that the new motion does not include any provisions for keeping the recipients of city money accountable to the public interest. “We’re talking about essentially a private militia that can use force and detain people, and has no accountability.”

Over 1,000 attacks on healthcare in Occupied Palestinian Territory since October

ReliefWeb reports: The World Health Organization (WHO) has registered more than 1,000 attacks on healthcare facilities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since the October 7 terror attacks in Israel sparked the on-going war in Gaza, the agency’s top official in the region said on Wednesday.

In a press briefing, Dr. Rik Peeperkorn, WHO representative for the West Bank and Gaza, told journalists there are currently no functional hospitals in the enclave’s southernmost city of Rafah, following Israel’s recent offensive there.

The availability of hospital beds has drastically declined, dropping from 3,500 before the conflict erupted, to just 1,400 today, he added.

He said 600 of those 1,400 are being provided by field hospitals “so currently from the Ministry of Health and NGO fixed hospitals, there’s only 800 hospital beds in service from the 3,500, plus 600 field hospital beds, for a population of 2.2 million people”.

The WHO official also highlighted the urgency of allowing critically ill patients to leave Gaza, stating that around 10,000 patients still require urgent evacuation, half of whom are suffering from severe trauma – including spinal injuries and amputations.

Israeli legislature votes overwhelmingly against Palestinian statehood, days before PM’s US trip

Times of Israel reports: The Knesset late Wednesday voted overwhelmingly to pass a resolution rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The initiative was passed just days before Netanyahu’s visit to the US to address a joint session of Congress and meet with President Joe Biden at the White House. The move was likely to further irk Democrats uncomfortable with embracing an Israeli government that increasingly rejects a two-state solution.

The resolution — passed 68-9 — altogether rejects the establishment of a Palestinian state, even as part of a negotiated settlement with Israel.

“The Knesset of Israel firmly opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state west of Jordan. The establishment of a Palestinian state in the heart of the Land of Israel will pose an existential danger to the State of Israel and its citizens, perpetuate the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and destabilize the region,” the resolution stated.

NOTE: The reality is the opposite of what the resolution states: rather than a Palestinian state being created in the “heart of the land of Israel,” the state of Israel was created in the heart of historic Palestine.

Al-Aqsa Mosque stormed by far-right Israeli minister for fifth time

Middle East Monitor reports: Israel’s far-right National Security Minister stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem yesterday, accompanied by a group of Israeli soldiers. Palestinian worshippers were barred from entering the site while Itamar Ben-Gvir was there.

“I came here, to the most important place of the State of Israel [sic] and to the people of Israel, to pray for the return of the abductees to their home,” said right-ring extremist Ben-Gvir, “but without an illegitimate deal and surrender.” This was a reference to any ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, which he opposes.

The incident on Wednesday marked the fifth time that Ben-Gvir has raided the mosque by force since becoming an Israeli minister in December 2022. The leader of the far-right Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party is well-known for encouraging Israeli settlers to storm Al-Aqsa.

Al-Aqsa Mosque compound is the third-holiest site in the world for Islam and Muslims. Jews call the area the Temple Mount, and there are plans to knock down the mosque and other Islamic buildings across the Noble Sanctuary, including the iconic Dome of the Rock Mosque, and build a temple in their place.

Israeli government shelves plans to block terror convicts from running for Knesset: Report

Middle East Eye reports: The Israeli government has shelved plans to pass legislation that would prevent terror convicts from running for the Knesset over concerns that it would impact far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, Israel’s Kan public broadcaster reports.

in 2008, Ben Gvir was convicted by the Jerusalem District Court of incitement to racism and supporting a terror organisation.

Kan says that Likud MK Nissim Vaturi proposed the legislation on Sunday, which aims at preventing anyone who has ever been involved in terrorist activity from running from a Knesset seat, regardless of the severity of the crime.

Netanyahu vetoes Gallant’s planned field hospital for Gaza kids

The Times of Israel reports: A public fight broke out between Yoav Gallant and Benjamin Netanyahu Thursday over the medical treatment of Gaza children.

Gallant announced on Wednesday that a field hospital for children would be established by the IDF in Israel, near the Gaza border, due to the extended closure of Gaza’s Rafah Crossing into Egypt, which Gazans had previously used in order to travel overseas for medical treatment.

But Gallant’s announcement was apparently not coordinated with the prime minister. Netanyahu’s office reportedly informed Gallant that he would not approve the establishment of the field hospital “and for this reason it will not be established.”

ICC to issue arrest warrants for Israeli leaders Netanyahu, Gallant ‘within two weeks’

The New Arab reports: The International Criminal Court (ICC) is expected to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant within the next two weeks, Israeli media reported on Wednesday.

A report by Israel’s Channel 14 cited unnamed Israeli officials who said they believed that it was “highly probable” that the arrest warrants would be issued in that time frame.

This comes weeks after Netanyahu said in June that he expected the warrants to be issued before his address to the US Congress on 24 July, according to Ynet.

ICC chief prosecutor Karim Khan applied for warrants against the two Israeli leaders on 20 May for the war crimes of using starvation as a weapon of war and wilful killing, among other charges.

Ukraine makes humanitarian flour shipment to Palestinians

The New Arab reports: Ukraine said Thursday that it had sent flour to the Palestinian territories as part of an initiative to ship free agricultural supplies to poor countries and regions.

“Palestine received 1,000 tons of wheat flour,” Ukraine’s foreign ministry posted on X.

“The shipment is the first of three deliveries intended for Palestine… It will support over 101,000 Palestinian families for a month,” it said.

Kyiv launched the “Grain for Ukraine” initiative in a bid to ensure Russia’s invasion did not threaten its position as one of the world’s largest agricultural exporters.

Ukraine did not say whether the flour was intended for Gaza, which is facing a humanitarian crisis and steep drops in the amount of aid that has reached the coastal strip during the war between Israel and Hamas.

Kyiv was a major grain exporter to the Palestinians before Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.

US declares ‘mission complete’ for Gaza Aid Pier after delivering one day’s worth of food

The Cradle reports: The Pentagon announced on 17 July that the floating pier built off the coast of Gaza would be dismantled for good, declaring its “mission complete” two months after it started operations.

“Our assessment is that the temporary pier has achieved its intended effect to surge a very high volume of aid into Gaza and ensure that aid reaches the civilians in Gaza in a quick manner,” Cooper said, adding that nearly 20 million pounds of aid entered Gaza via the pier – the equivalent of about 600 truckloads.

For months, the UN and other human rights organizations have established that a minimum of 500 to 600 truckloads of aid need to enter Gaza daily to alleviate critical famine conditions. A large part of the aid that reached Gaza via the pier rotted under the sun for weeks after the US and Israel used the alleged humanitarian corridor to launch a bloody rescue operation in Nuseirat camp that killed nearly 300 Palestinians.

Cooper also announced that efforts to deliver aid to Gaza by sea would shift to the Israeli port of Ashdod. He added that, after US troops failed to re-attach the pier last week for a final time, about five million pounds of aid stranded in Cyprus and at sea will be heading to Ashdod.

“Having now delivered the largest volume of humanitarian assistance ever into the Middle East, we’re now mission complete and transitioning to a new phase,” Cooper claimed. “In the coming weeks, we expect that millions of pounds of aid will enter into Gaza via this new pathway.”

US elections 2024: Democratic Party platform backs Biden’s approach to Gaza, Middle East policy

Middle East Eye reports: There will be very little change to President Joe Biden’s widely unpopular approach to Israel’s war on Gaza if he is reelected, a leaked draft of the Democratic Party’s platform for 2024 has revealed, indicating the party’s refusal to envisage any new headway in ending a war that has killed close to 40,000 Palestinians in 10 months.

The 80-page platform, released by Politico and which will be endorsed next month during the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, includes a two-page section on the Middle East, in which it categorically condemns the Hamas-led attacks on southern Israel that took place on 7 October and reiterates that “the United States wants to see Hamas defeated”.

The platform lists examples of Biden’s unwavering support for Israel’s war on Gaza, including the sending of arms shipments and providing a diplomatic shield for Israel at the United Nations during votes for a ceasefire and regarding concerns about human rights violations.

Speaker Mike Johnson Threatens to Arrest Lawmakers Who Disrupt Netanyahu’s Congress speech

Ha’aretz reports: At the Republican Jewish Coalition’s “Salute to Pro-Israel Elected Officials” on the sidelines of the GOP convention, the only thing more palpable than leading officials’ support for Israel is their resentment toward Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.

The event, attended by hundreds and including addresses from among the most senior Republican officials in America, was the convention’s clearest and firmest argument from the GOP that it is “the only-pro Israel party” amid the Democratic Party’s leftward shift amid the Gaza war. [EDITOR’S NOTE: The Democratic Party is also pro-Israel – see above article – but has made a few concessions to its constituents during the current war.]

“We have been demonstrating that over and over and over,” House Speaker Mike Johnson said, noting the Republican efforts to attack the Biden administration over the delay of a shipment of 2,000 pound heavy-payload weapons. [Read about the effects of heavy bombs here.]

“This is a moment for moral clarity and it’s unconscionable to us that the president and some leaders in Congress are unable to say what is good and what is evil,” he continued, addressing the pro-Palestinian protest movement on college campuses. [Read the truth about campus protests here.]

He additionally forecasted future legislative action aimed at college endowments and protesters in America on student visas.

Johnson further attacked Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer for delaying the invitation to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to address a joint session of Congress.

“The only reason this got done is because I went to the press corps,” he said, vowing that Capitol Police will arrest anyone who tries to disrupt Netanyahu’s speech.

Former President Donald Trump spoke during the Republican National Convention saying: “We want our hostages back,” adding: “They better be back before I assume office or you will be paying a very big price.”

Trump commented in his speech on Israel’s Iron Dome system, highlighting its part in intercepting a drone and missile attack from Iran in April.

NOTE: Many conservative analysts disagree with this Israel-first position:

US teachers’ union pushes for Israel divestment

Members of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), one of the largest US unions, have put forth a resolution to divest from Israel bonds.

“The AFT holds only one bond of a foreign government, … a country internationally accused of committing war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide,” they wrote in a statement.

The AFT’s Israel bond, “which helps fund Israel’s scholasticide and genocide, and pays for Israel’s longstanding occupation of the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, and the apartheid regime against Palestinians everywhere”, is valued at $150,000.

Groups Condemn Microsoft’s Unjust Blocking of Palestinian Skype and Email Accounts

Al Haq, a Palestinian human rights organization, reports: The Palestinian Digital Rights Coalition and other groups released a statement Thursday condemning discriminatory actions by Microsoft against Palestinian users:

The Palestinian Digital Rights Coalition and undersigned allies strongly condemn Microsoft’s recent treatment of Palestinian customers. The company’s recent actions of blocking Palestinian users’ email and Skype accounts, an unjust disruption that has severe consequences on their daily lives during a time of war, is not only an affront to basic human decency but also a violation of their fundamental rights.

Access to technology and communication is crucial, especially in conflict zones where information and connectivity can mean the difference between life and death. Furthermore, Microsoft accounts provide access to communication platforms, bank accounts, and job opportunities.

By blocking its services, Microsoft is effectively cutting Palestinians off from social, professional, and financial opportunities during a time of immense suffering and devastation. Microsoft’s decision to restrict its services to Palestinians at such a critical juncture is deeply troubling and cannot be justified.

Houthis suggest Gaza aid deal with Israel for decrease in attacks on shipping

Al Jazeera reports: A senior Houthi official in Yemen says if Israel allows desperately needed humanitarian aid into northern Gaza, the militia will cease some attacks on ships that visit the Umm al-Rashrash port, known in Israel as Eilat.

Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said on X: “We say to the enemy if you allow the entry of aid into the north of Gaza, as much as you allow the Yemeni Mujahideen army will allow the delivery of similar quantities to the occupied port. The ball is in your court.”

Al-Houthi suggested Egyptian and Qatari mediators could work out such a deal with Israel in consultation with Palestinian armed groups.

The Houthis have for months targeted Israel-linked cargo vessels with missile and drone strikes in support of Palestinians, promising to continue the attacks until Israel ends it war on Gaza.

    STATISTICS OCTOBER 7 – JULY 18:

Palestinian death toll from October 7 – July 18: at least 39,424* (38,848 in Gaza* – 11,445 women (30%), 16,034 children as of June 17. [The Ministry’s figures have been contested by the Israeli authorities, although they have been accepted as accurate by Israeli intelligence services, the UN, and WHO. These data are supported by independent analyses, comparing changes in the number of deaths of UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff with those reported by the Ministry, which found claims of data fabrication implausible.]

This is expected to be a significant undercount since thousands of those killed have yet to be identified – and at least 576 in the West Bank (~140 children). This does not include an estimated 10,000 more still buried under rubble (4,900 women and children). Euro-Med Monitor reports 46,848 Palestinian deaths.

Lancet: “Applying a conservative estimate of four indirect deaths per one direct death9 to the 37,396 deaths reported, it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186 000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza.

Ralph Nader earlier estimated 200,000 Palestinians may have been killed in Gaza.

At least 46 Palestinians have died in Israeli prisons (27 from Gaza, 18 from West Bank).
At least 40 Palestinians have died due to malnutrition**.
About 1.7 million, or 75% of Gaza’s population are currently displaced.
2.15 million (out of total population of 2.3 million) are projected to face Crisis or worse levels of food insecurity.
Palestinian injuries from October 7 – July 18: at least 94,879 (including at least 89,459 in Gaza and 5,420 in the West Bank, including 830 children).

[It remains unknown how many Americans are among the casualties in Gaza.]
Reported Israeli death toll from October 7 – July 18: ~1,481 (~1,139 on October 7, 2023, of which ~32 were Americans, and ~36 were children); 326 military forces since the ground invasion began in Gaza; 16 in the West Bank) and~8,730 injured.

Times of Israel reports: The IDF listed 41 soldiers killed due to friendly fire in Gaza and other military-related accidents – nearly 16%.

NOTE: It is unknown at this time how many of the deaths and injuries in Israel on October 7 were caused by Israeli soldiers.

*Previously, IAK did not include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile was being disputed. However, given that much evidence points to Israel as the culprit, Israel had previously bombed the hospital and has attacked many others, Israel is prohibiting outside experts from investigating the scene, and since the UN and other agencies are including the deaths from the attack in their cumulative totals, if Americans knew is now also doing so.**

Euro-Med Monitor reports that Gaza’s elderly are dying at an alarmingly high rate. The majority die at home and are buried either close to their residences or in makeshift graves dispersed across the Strip. There are currently more than 140 such cemeteries. Additionally, according to Euromed, thousands have died from starvation, malnourishment, and inadequate medical care; these are considered indirect victims as they were not registered in hospitals.

† For most of the conflict, women and children accounted for about 70% of deaths in Gaza, with children making up a little over 40% of those killed, according to official statistics.

By IAK staff, from reports. New health crisis unfolds in Gaza as poliovirus found in sewage Andalou Agency reports: A new health crisis unfolded in the bombarded Gaza Strip with the detection of poliovirus in sewage, the Gaza Health Ministry revealed on Thursday. A ministry statement noted that “tests on sewage samples, conducted in coordination with UNICEF, confirmed the presence of the poliovirus.” The statement added that the presence of the virus in sewage, which flows through areas with displaced persons and residential zones due to infrastructure destruction, “represents a new health crisis.” The situation is exacerbated by severe overcrowding, scarce and contaminated water supplies, accumulated garbage, and the Israeli blockade on hygiene supplies. Amnesty Int’l calls on Israel to end mass incommunicado detention and torture of Palestinians from Gaza From Amnesty’s website: Israeli authorities must end their indefinite incommunicado detention of Palestinians from the occupied Gaza Strip, without charge or trial under the Unlawful Combatants law, in flagrant violation of international law, said Amnesty International. Israeli authorities must immediately repeal this law and release those arbitrarily detained under it.” (Read the full statement here.) Oxfam report: Water War Crimes: How Israel has weaponized water in its military campaign in Gaza Oxfam’s new 66-page report, released Wednesday, documents how since October, Israel has systematically reduced the water available in Gaza by 94%, with just 4.74 liters per resident obtainable each day—less than a third of the recommended minimum amount in emergencies. (Read the full report here, or a summary here.) West Bank – Israeli military drops threatening leaflets over Jenin camp The Israeli military has reportedly dropped leaflets in the Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank, threatening to kill wanted young men if they do not surrender themselves. L.A. city council considers funding former IDF soldiers to patrol its streets The Intercept reports: The Los Angeles City Council is considering whether to give public funds to private, armed security patrols to protect its religious communities, following a protest against the marketing of West Bank settlement properties at an LA synagogue last month that turned violent. “We’re talking about essentially a private militia that can use force and detain people, and has no accountability.” (Read the full article here.) Over 1,000 attacks on healthcare in Occupied Palestinian Territory since October ReliefWeb reports: The World Health Organization (WHO) has registered more than 1,000 attacks on healthcare facilities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since the October 7 terror attacks in Israel sparked the on-going war in Gaza, the agency’s top official in the region said on Wednesday. Palestinians start to fix and restore the Shifa Hospital after being heavily damaged by Israeli attacks and demolished some parts to prepare it to service again in Gaza City, Gaza on June 05, 2024 Palestinians start to fix and restore the Shifa Hospital after being heavily damaged by Israeli attacks and demolished some parts to prepare it to service again in Gaza City, Gaza on June 05, 2024 (photo) Israeli legislature votes overwhelmingly against Palestinian statehood, days before PM’s US trip Times of Israel reports: The Knesset late Wednesday voted overwhelmingly to pass a resolution rejecting the establishment of a Palestinian state. Al-Aqsa Mosque stormed by far-right Israeli minister for fifth time Middle East Monitor reports: Israel’s far-right National Security Minister stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem yesterday, accompanied by a group of Israeli soldiers. Israeli government shelves plans to block terror convicts from running for Knesset: Report Middle East Eye reports: The Israeli government has shelved plans to pass legislation that would prevent terror convicts from running for the Knesset over concerns that it would impact far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, Israel’s Kan public broadcaster reports. in 2008, Ben Gvir was convicted by the Jerusalem District Court of incitement to racism and supporting a terror organisation. Kan says that Likud MK Nissim Vaturi proposed the legislation on Sunday, which aims at preventing anyone who has ever been involved in terrorist activity from running from a Knesset seat, regardless of the severity of the crime. Netanyahu vetoes Gallant’s planned field hospital for Gaza kids The Times of Israel reports: A public fight broke out between Yoav Gallant and Benjamin Netanyahu Thursday over the medical treatment of Gaza children. Netanyahu’s office reportedly informed Gallant that he would not approve the establishment of the field hospital “and for this reason it will not be established.” ICC to issue arrest warrants for Israeli leaders Netanyahu, Gallant ‘within two weeks’ The New Arab reports: The International Criminal Court (ICC) is expected to issue arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant within the next two weeks, Israeli media reported on Wednesday. Ukraine makes humanitarian flour shipment to Palestinians The New Arab reports: Ukraine said Thursday that it had sent flour to the Palestinian territories as part of an initiative to ship free agricultural supplies to poor countries and regions. US declares ‘mission complete’ for Gaza Aid Pier after delivering one day’s worth of food The Cradle reports: The Pentagon announced on 17 July that the floating pier built off the coast of Gaza would be dismantled for good, declaring its “mission complete” two months after it started operations. “In the coming weeks, we expect that millions of pounds of aid will enter into Gaza via this new pathway.” RECOMMENDED READING: What would you do with an extra $320 million? US elections 2024: Democratic Party platform backs Biden’s approach to Gaza, Middle East policy Middle East Eye reports: There will be very little change to President Joe Biden’s widely unpopular approach to Israel’s war on Gaza if he is reelected, a leaked draft of the Democratic Party’s platform for 2024 has revealed, indicating the party’s refusal to envisage any new headway in ending a war that has killed close to 40,000 Palestinians in 10 months. Speaker Mike Johnson Threatens to Arrest Lawmakers Who Disrupt Netanyahu’s Congress speech Ha’aretz reports: At the Republican Jewish Coalition’s “Salute to Pro-Israel Elected Officials” on the sidelines of the GOP convention, the only thing more palpable than leading officials’ support for Israel is their resentment toward Joe Biden and the Democratic Party. The event, attended by hundreds and including addresses from among the most senior Republican officials in America, was the convention’s clearest and firmest argument from the GOP that it is “the only-pro Israel party” amid the Democratic Party’s leftward shift amid the Gaza war. [EDITOR’S NOTE: The Democratic Party is also pro-Israel – see above article – but has made a few concessions to its constituents during the current war.] “We have been demonstrating that over and over and over,” House Speaker Mike Johnson said, noting the Republican efforts to attack the Biden administration over the delay of a shipment of 2,000 pound heavy-payload weapons. [Read about the effects of heavy bombs here.] “This is a moment for moral clarity and it’s unconscionable to us that the president and some leaders in Congress are unable to say what is good and what is evil,” he continued, addressing the pro-Palestinian protest movement on college campuses. [Read the truth about campus protests here.] He additionally forecasted future legislative action aimed at college endowments and protesters in America on student visas. Former President Donald Trump spoke during the Republican National Convention saying: “We want our hostages back,” adding: “They better be back before I assume office or you will be paying a very big price.” Trump commented in his speech on Israel’s Iron Dome system, highlighting its part in intercepting a drone and missile attack from Iran in April. NOTE: Many conservative analysts disagree with this Israel-first position: US teachers’ union pushes for Israel divestment Members of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), one of the largest US unions, have put forth a resolution to divest from Israel bonds. Groups Condemn Microsoft’s Unjust Blocking of Palestinian Skype and Email Accounts Al Haq, a Palestinian human rights organization, reports: The Palestinian Digital Rights Coalition and other groups released a statement Thursday condemning discriminatory actions by Microsoft against Palestinian users: The Palestinian Digital Rights Coalition and undersigned allies strongly condemn Microsoft’s recent treatment of Palestinian customers. The company’s recent actions of blocking Palestinian users’ email and Skype accounts, an unjust disruption that has severe consequences on their daily lives during a time of war, is not only an affront to basic human decency but also a violation of their fundamental rights. Houthis suggest Gaza aid deal with Israel for decrease in attacks on shipping Al Jazeera reports: A senior Houthi official in Yemen says if Israel allows desperately needed humanitarian aid into northern Gaza, the militia will cease some attacks on ships that visit the Umm al-Rashrash port, known in Israel as Eilat. Mohammed Ali al-Houthi said on X: “We say to the enemy if you allow the entry of aid into the north of Gaza, as much as you allow the Yemeni Mujahideen army will allow the delivery of similar quantities to the occupied port. The ball is in your court.” Al-Houthi suggested Egyptian and Qatari mediators could work out such a deal with Israel in consultation with Palestinian armed groups. NOTE: It is unknown at this time how many of the deaths and injuries in Israel on October 7 were caused by Israeli soldiers. *Previously, IAK did not include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile was being disputed. However, given that much evidence points to Israel as the culprit, Israel had previously bombed the hospital and has attacked many others, Israel is prohibiting outside experts from investigating the scene, and since the UN and other agencies are including the deaths from the attack in their cumulative totals, if Americans knew is now also doing so.** Euro-Med Monitor reports that Gaza’s elderly are dying at an alarmingly high rate. • Comedian Jon Stewart exposes COVID-19 SCAMDEMIC in hilarious guest appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”

American comedian, liberal political commentator and "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart had a hilarious guest appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," where he talked about how the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic was caused and created by science and that it has scammed the public into believing that the virus came from bats.
Stewart noted that he has a great debt of gratitude to science. He said science has in many ways helped ease the suffering of the pandemic, which was also more than likely caused by science.

"What are you saying? So, there is a chance that this [virus] was created in a lab?" Colbert bantered.

This was immediately responded to by Stewart with, "A chance?"

He then hysterically recited a dialogue with an imaginary person saying, "Oh my God, there is a novel respiratory coronavirus overtaking Wuhan, China. What do we do?" He comedically answered himself with: "Oh no, we can ask the Wuhan novel respiratory coronavirus lab." He argued that the disease is the same name as the laboratory. "That’s just a little too weird, don't you think?"

He continued by saying he "asked" a scientist how the virus spread to people. Stewart funnily answered himself again, "Well, a pangolin kissed a turtle?" He was on a roll as he continued saying "Maybe a bat flew in the cloaca of the turkey and then it sneezed into my chili and now we all have coronavirus."

Colbert chimed in, volunteering a piece of information from the official narrative as to how COVID-19 originated: "It could be possible that they have a coronavirus laboratory in Wuhan to study the virus because, in Wuhan, there are a lot of novel coronavirus diseases because of the bat population there."

Stewart slams Dems for excusing Biden's obvious cognitive decline during the debate

Meanwhile, in a recent commentary on his show, Stewart blasted Democrats and the White House for creating excuses for what he described as a "shocking display of cognitive difficulty" by President Joe Biden during the presidential debate late last month.

"The point is, for a campaign based on honesty and decency, the spin about the debate appears to be blatant b-------, and the redemption tour hasn't gone that much better," Stewart said.

Stewart played a compilation of Biden clips in which the president read "pause" and "repeat the line" from a teleprompter, along with other lapses in memory, including the time he claimed to have spoken to a long-dead former president of France. According to the Comedy Central host, Biden's poor performance was "recognizable to, unfortunately, anybody who's dealt with aging parents, and it's a hard watch."

He then said that former President Donald Trump "delivered at the debate to expectation. We expect him to be f------ crazy. But Biden's performance and inability to articulate at times was stunning, like, I could not believe what I was watching."

"But then it got worse," Stewart went on. "Rather than respecting the American people and having an honest, at least partial, conversation about what we had all seen, we were told immediately, 'These are not the droids you're looking for.'"

He then streamed another compilation of Democrats making excuses for Biden's poor performance, blaming jet lag and a cold. Stewart noted that the president had been home from Europe for almost two weeks.

Biden has been facing calls to step down after the catastrophic debate. His allies have argued that Biden is already the nominee and voters have no choice but to back him given the threat of authoritarianism under Trump. But Stewart isn't buying it.

"'Get On Board Or Shut The F--- Up' is not a particularly compelling pro-democracy bumper sticker," he said.

Stewart disagrees with some of Biden's supporters' argument that it's too late to change candidates since there are only four months until the election.

"Four months is for-f-----g-ever," he said and put that timeframe into perspective, citing Britain which just held an election, and France, which had two in one month and even defeated fascism and "still had time to have an affair with Denmark." (Related: Prominent Democratic strategist says it's too late to talk about replacing Biden as party goes into full panic mode over disastrous debate performance.)

He said he's not calling Biden to drop out but wants the nation to "stress test" the situation to see what options emerge.

"Do you have any idea how thirsty Americans are for any hint of inspiration or leadership and a release from this choice of a megalomaniac and a suffocating gerontocracy," he said. "It is crushing our f------ spirits."

Israel’s strategy is “cold and calculated, and lacks any sense of decency” – Day 60
UNICEF spokesperson says alleged Gaza safe zones are ‘zones of death’ In a Sky News interview, UNICEF spokesperson James Elder says Israel’s proclaimed ‘safe zones’ in Gaza are ‘zones of death’ with increased risk for disease. Elder says Israeli authorities are fully aware of the dire consequences in the alleged safe zones, and that the decision to push 80% of the population into a zone that is 4% the size of Gaza is ‘cold’ and ‘calculated’ and lacks ‘any sense of decency’.

Khan Younis and Rafah: Monday night was terrifying for residents of Khan Younis and Rafah, and 1.5 million evacuees. Since early yesterday evening, there has been non-stop heavy artillery shelling, relentless air strikes and mass bombardment.

The vast majority of residential homes and public facilities – schools, hospitals, medical centers and shops – in the eastern side of Khan Younis, have been completely destroyed. At the same time, people were ordered to evacuate in the middle of the night and early hours of this morning under heavy bombardment.

As ambulances tried to get to the eastern side of Khan Younis to Abasan al-Kabira and Bani Suheila, where people were stranded and caught under the heavy bombardment, they were shot at and could not evacuate any of the injured or bring out any of those who were killed overnight.

The Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis has called for blood donations due to the high number of severely injured patients arriving every hour. Twenty-six out of 35 hospitals in Gaza are currently out of service, and 52 out of 72 primary healthcare clinics have been shut down.

Palestinian officials in Gaza say Israeli jets dropped phosphorus bombs north and east of Khan Younis. (Use of white phosphorus in civilian areas is considered a war crime due to its extremely dangerous effects on the human body. White phosphorus ignites instantly when in contact with oxygen. It can burn through the human body, including through bone, causing severe, excruciating damage. It can also cause extreme harm when inhaled, with risks of suffocation, cardiovascular failure, coma, death, and other lifelong effects. The substance burns at temperatures of up to 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit.)

Central Gaza: Israeli jets targeted the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza this morning. Bombing began around 6:05am (04:05 GMT) while most residents were asleep, leading to a total “state of panic”. At least 15 houses were “completely destroyed” more than 15 people were killed, including children. Many wounded are still trapped under the rubble.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) has shared footage of the moment an Israeli artillery tank targeted the vicinity of two ambulances in Gaza. PRCS said the two ambulances were attending to casualties in Deir el-Balah, southern Gaza.

Northern Gaza: Gaza’s health ministry is warning of a “massacre” at Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, where Israeli tanks and snipers are reportedly surrounding the facility and “shooting at anyone who moves”; Israeli forces have already killed 108 civilians and injured dozens in the hospital’s vicinity. Munir al-Bursh, director-general of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said,

The Israeli occupation forces have laid siege to the facility from all sides. Patients and those who took shelter here are gripped with fear and overwhelmed by horror.

The Israeli forces are attacking with the aim of forcibly removing all those inside the hospital. These are patients, victims and displaced civilians.

We, the medical staff, are holding our ground. We are standing by our patients. We will continue to serve our people by all means left here at Kamal Adwan Hospital.

UN says no place is safe: The United Nations warns that creating “so-called safe zones” for civilians to flee to within the Gaza Strip is impossible amid Israel’s bombing campaign. The Israeli army, which initially focused much of its offensive on the north of the enclave, has now dropped leaflets on parts of the south, telling Palestinian civilians there to flee to other areas. “The so-called safe zones … are not scientific, they are not rational, they are not possible, and I think the authorities are aware of this,” said UNICEF spokesperson James Elder.

Journalists face grave threats: The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) reports that 63 journalists and media workers have been killed since October 7. The overall death toll includes 56 Palestinians, four Israelis and three Lebanese nationals. Sherif Mansour, CPJ’s Middle East and North Africa program coordinator, said,

CPJ emphasizes that journalists are civilians doing important work during times of crisis and must not be targeted by warring parties. Journalists across the region are making great sacrifices to cover this heart-breaking conflict. Those in Gaza, in particular, have paid, and continue to pay, an unprecedented toll and face exponential threats.

    Humanitarian update

UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said the resumption of the Israeli military operation and its expansion further in southern Gaza is repeating horrors from past weeks. He added,

The latest developments are further strangling the humanitarian operation, with limited supplies going in and complex logistical and coordination arrangements that slow down and at times obstruct the flow. The Israeli Authorities continue to restrict the flow of humanitarian supplies, including fuel, forcing the UN to only use the ill-equipped crossing point with Egypt.

We call on the State of Israel to reopen Kerem Shalom and other crossings and facilitate the unconditional, uninterrupted and meaningful delivery of lifesaving humanitarian assistance. The failure to do so violates international humanitarian law.

On 4 December, 100 aid trucks carrying humanitarian supplies and 69,000 litres of fuel entered from Egypt into Gaza, about the same as the previous day. This is well below the daily average of 170 trucks and 110,000 litres of fuel that had entered during the humanitarian pause implemented between 24 and 30 November.

On 4 December, for the second consecutive day, Rafah was the only governorate in Gaza where limited aid distributions, primarily of flour and water, took place.

On 4 December at about 20:30, the main telecommunication provider in Gaza announced that all telecom services had shut down due to cuts in the main fibre routes. This followed a partial shutdown in Gaza city and northern Gaza a few hours earlier due to ongoing hostilities. Humanitarian agencies and first responders have warned that blackouts jeopardize the already constrained provision of life-saving assistance.

    Other Gaza updates

Agriculture destroyed: Human Rights Watch (HRW) has found that orchards, greenhouses and farmland have been razed due to Israel’s ground invasion in the north of Gaza. In Beit Hanoun in northeast Gaza, what was once green agricultural land has now become “brown and desolate”, increasing concerns about food insecurity and the loss of livelihoods.

The razing continued during the seven-day truce and satellite imagery showed the destruction of farmland by Israel’s use of bulldozers to carve new roads for its armored vehicles.

Israel set to possibly flood Gaza’s tunnel system: the Wall Street Journal reports:

Israel has assembled a system of large pumps it could use to flood Hamas’s vast network of tunnels under the Gaza Strip with seawater, a tactic that could destroy the tunnels and drive the fighters from their underground refuge but also threaten Gaza’s water supply, U.S. officials said.

The Israel Defense Forces finished assembling large seawater pumps roughly one mile north of the Al-Shati refugee camp around the middle of last month. Each of at least five pumps can draw water from the Mediterranean Sea and move thousands of cubic meters of water per hour into the tunnels, flooding them within weeks.

Sentiment inside the U.S. was mixed. Some U.S. officials privately expressed concern about the plan, while other officials said the U.S. supports the disabling of the tunnels and said there wasn’t necessarily any U.S. opposition to the plan. The Israelis have identified about 800 tunnels so far, though they acknowledge the network is bigger than that.

Because it isn’t clear how permeable the tunnels are or how much seawater would seep into the soil and to what effect, it is hard to fully assess the impact of pumping seawater into the tunnels, said Jon Alterman, senior vice president at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies.

“It’s hard to tell what pumping seawater will do to the existing water and sewage infrastructure. It is hard to tell what it will do to groundwater reserves. And it’s hard to tell the impact on the stability of nearby buildings,” Alterman said.

Attacks on southern Gaza promise to be “worse” than north: Yoav Gallant, the Israeli defense minister, has been saying that what will come to the southern part of the Gaza Strip will not only be equal to what we saw in the north but, actually, even worse. He says the army is going to continue its ground operation inside of the northern part of the Gaza Strip. He also said that Israeli troops are going to remain stationed there until every single Hamas target – infrastructure and fighters – is eliminated.

West Bank, Jerusalem, and Israel news

Israeli settlers break into Jerusalem’s Aqsa mosque: Dozens of fanatic Israeli settlers Tuesday morning broke into the compounds of al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy protection from the Israeli police. The extremist settlers divided into groups, raided the holy Islamic Mosque from al-Maghariba gate and took provocative tours in its compounds. The settlers performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern part of the Mosque.

Jerusalem Palestinian killed: A Palestinian was Tuesday morning killed, while his brother was detained, by Israeli forces during a raid in Qalandia camp, north of occupied Jerusalem. Witnesses said that the occupation forces violently stormed Manasra’s and blew up the door of the house just as he was about to open it, with a bomb that disintegrated his body. The occupation forces later detained his brother before they withdrew.

Israel says Jerusalemite children released in recent prisoner swap can’t go back to school: Families of the child prisoners released in the recent exchange deal said that the schools’ administrations affiliated with the so-called Israeli Ministry of Education and the occupation municipality in Jerusalem refused the return of their children to school.

2 Palestinians killed Monday night: Two Palestinian youths was Monday evening killed after they were shot by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Sa’ir, northeast of Hebron. The Ministry of Health said that Anas Ismail al-Froukh, 23, and Mohammad Saa’di al-Frouk, 22, died due to their severe injuries by Israeli forces.

Major new settlement plan approved for occupied East Jerusalem: Ir Amim, an organization that focuses on the Israel-Palestine conflict in Jerusalem, says that amid the ongoing war in Gaza, Israel is seeking to expand the settler presence in occupied East Jerusalem. “Today, officials shockingly announced the approval of the Lower Aqueduct plan – the first major new settlement plan to be fully approved in East Jerusalem since [the settlement of] Givat Hamatos in 2012,” the group said.

This plan has disastrous ramifications, the group said, predicting “It will extend the Israeli settlement wedge along East Jerusalem’s southern boundary, further sealing [it] off from the southern West Bank, while fracturing the Palestinian space and depleting more vacant land for Palestinian development.”

Israel says three more soldiers were killed during fighting on Tuesday and four others were seriously injured in various battles in northern Gaza. More than 80 Israeli soldiers have been killed in Gaza since the start of the ground invasion of the Palestinian enclave, the UN said on Tuesday, citing official Israeli sources. It was not known if the latest deaths announced by Israel were part of that total.

RECOMMENDED VIEWING: Watch: Debunking Israel’s “mass rape” propaganda

The firing of rockets by Palestinian armed groups towards Israeli population centers has continued over the past 24 hours, with no reported fatalities. (Information on rocket attacks is here.) It appears that the last time a rocket killed an Israeli was October 7-8, as reported by Ha’aretz and the Times of Israel. 15 Israelis were killed – 10 of them Palestinian Israelis who reportedly had no access to bomb shelters. Rockets have killed a total of 35 Israelis over the 22 years they’ve been fired,.

    Elsewhere

Resigned US State Department official reveals details of child rape case in Israeli prison, calls for accountability: In a CNN interview, former US State Department official Josh Paul discloses a troubling incident involving the alleged rape of a 13-year-old Palestinian boy in an Israeli prison. The State Department’s inquiry into the case resulted in Israeli officials shutting down the charity involved in bringing the case to light.

Paul condemned ongoing atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank and called for accountability. He questioned the US foreign policy’s impact on global perceptions and whether the US is using its ‘leverage’ to end the Israeli onslaught on Gaza.

Josh Paul resigned from the US State Department in October over the Biden administration’s decision to continue sending weapons and ammunition to Israel following the Israeli war on Gaza.

More pro-Israel legislation: A week after US lawmakers expressed frustration in having to vote for yet another pro-Israel resolution, the House is expected to vote again this week to declare anti-Zionism is anti-Semitism, in a new bill which critics say will further undermine free speech protected by the US constitution.

House Resolution 894 — introduced by Jewish Republicans, Representative David Kustoff (Tenn.) and Max Miller (Ohio) – “clearly and firmly states that anti-Zionism is antisemitism.” The bill embraces the highly controversial International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) so called working definition of anti-Semitism, which, while not explicitly mentioning anti-Zionism, includes “denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination” and “claiming that the existence of a state of Israel is a racist endeavor,” as anti-Semitic.

Some Democratic senators say that Israel’s military must adopt substantive measures to lessen civilian deaths in Gaza as part of receiving the supplemental $14.3 billion in US aid for Israel’s war, but only a few call for a ceasefire (Bernie Sanders is not among them). House Resolution 786 calling for a ceasefire has 17 cosponsors. (Bernie Sanders is not among them.)

Poll shows split support in US for Israel’s war on Gaza: A survey by US polling agency Gallup shows among members of US President Joe Biden’s Democratic Party, only 36 percent support the war as opposed to 71 percent among opposition Republican Party members.

Biden received a 32 percent approval rating for his handling of the Gaza conflict. Also, four in 10 Americans surveyed say the US is sending too little aid to the Palestinians in Gaza.

    Statistics as of Dec. 4:

Palestinian death toll: OCHA reports at least 15,688* (~15,428 in Gaza** (4,257 women and 6,387 children), and at least 260 in the West Bank). This does not include an estimated 7,000 more still buried under rubble. Euro-Med Monitor reports 20,360 Palestinian deaths.

*IAK does not yet include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile is being disputed; although much evidence points to Israel as the culprit, experts are still looking into the incident. Israel is blocking an international investigation. Israel killed more Palestinians in a little over a month after Oct. 7 than in all the previous 22 years combined.

Palestinian injuries: 44,595** (including at least 42,000 in Gaza** and 3,365 in the West Bank). **NOTE: it is impossible to offer an accurate number of injuries in Gaza due to the ongoing bombardment and communication disruption.

It remains unknown how many Americans are among the casualties. in Gaza**. About 1.8 million people have been displaced (nearly 80% of the population).

Reported Israeli death toll ~1,200 (7 killed in West Bank, 80 in Gaza), including 32 Americans, and 5,431 injured, approximately 30 children).

NOTE: It is unknown at this time how many of the deaths and injuries in Israel may have been caused by Israeli soldiers; additionally, since Israel has a policy of universal conscription, it is unknown how many of those attending the outdoor rave a few miles from Gaza on stolen Palestinian land were Israeli soldiers.

Israel’s strategy is “cold and calculated, and lacks any sense of decency” – Day 60 [email protected] December 5, 2023 ethnic cleansing, Gaza, hamas, humanitarian aid, Israel, tunnel Israel’s strategy is “cold and calculated, and lacks any sense of decency” – Day 60 UNICEF spokesperson says alleged Gaza safe zones are ‘zones of death’ In a Sky News interview, UNICEF spokesperson James Elder says Israel’s proclaimed ‘safe zones’ in Gaza are ‘zones of death’ with increased risk for disease. The substance burns at temperatures of up to 1,500 degrees Fahrenheit.) Nasser hospital staff are stretched to their limits as casualties mount in southern Gaza, says UNICEF. Fifty-two of 72 primary healthcare clinics have shut down in Gaza. [Ibraheem Abu Mustafa/Reuters] (photo) Central Gaza: Israeli jets targeted the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza this morning. Munir al-Bursh, director-general of the Health Ministry in Gaza, said, The Israeli occupation forces have laid siege to the facility from all sides. Sherif Mansour, CPJ’s Middle East and North Africa program coordinator, said, CPJ emphasizes that journalists are civilians doing important work during times of crisis and must not be targeted by warring parties. Journalists across the region are making great sacrifices to cover this heart-breaking conflict. Those in Gaza, in particular, have paid, and continue to pay, an unprecedented toll and face exponential threats. Humanitarian update UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini said the resumption of the Israeli military operation and its expansion further in southern Gaza is repeating horrors from past weeks. He added, The latest developments are further strangling the humanitarian operation, with limited supplies going in and complex logistical and coordination arrangements that slow down and at times obstruct the flow. Israel set to possibly flood Gaza’s tunnel system: the Wall Street Journal reports: Israel has assembled a system of large pumps it could use to flood Hamas’s vast network of tunnels under the Gaza Strip with seawater, a tactic that could destroy the tunnels and drive the fighters from their underground refuge but also threaten Gaza’s water supply, U.S. officials said. He says the army is going to continue its ground operation inside of the northern part of the Gaza Strip. He also said that Israeli troops are going to remain stationed there until every single Hamas target – infrastructure and fighters – is eliminated. West Bank, Jerusalem, and Israel news Israeli settlers break into Jerusalem’s Aqsa mosque: Dozens of fanatic Israeli settlers Tuesday morning broke into the compounds of al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy protection from the Israeli police. This plan has disastrous ramifications, the group said, predicting “It will extend the Israeli settlement wedge along East Jerusalem’s southern boundary, further sealing [it] off from the southern West Bank, while fracturing the Palestinian space and depleting more vacant land for Palestinian development.” Israel says three more soldiers were killed during fighting on Tuesday and four others were seriously injured in various battles in northern Gaza. More than 80 Israeli soldiers have been killed in Gaza since the start of the ground invasion of the Palestinian enclave, the UN said on Tuesday, citing official Israeli sources. It was not known if the latest deaths announced by Israel were part of that total. RECOMMENDED VIEWING: Watch: Debunking Israel’s “mass rape” propaganda The firing of rockets by Palestinian armed groups towards Israeli population centers has continued over the past 24 hours, with no reported fatalities. Elsewhere Resigned US State Department official reveals details of child rape case in Israeli prison, calls for accountability: In a CNN interview, former US State Department official Josh Paul discloses a troubling incident involving the alleged rape of a 13-year-old Palestinian boy in an Israeli prison. (Bernie Sanders is not among them.) Poll shows split support in US for Israel’s war on Gaza: A survey by US polling agency Gallup shows among members of US President Joe Biden’s Democratic Party, only 36 percent support the war as opposed to 71 percent among opposition Republican Party members. Biden received a 32 percent approval rating for his handling of the Gaza conflict. Also, four in 10 Americans surveyed say the US is sending too little aid to the Palestinians in Gaza. Statistics as of Dec. 4: Palestinian death toll: OCHA reports at least 15,688* (~15,428 in Gaza** (4,257 women and 6,387 children), and at least 260 in the West Bank).
