The Plague Column or Pestsäule is a Holy Trinity column located on the Graben, a street in the inner city of Vienna, Austria.

This incredibly intricate Baroque memorial, erected as a way to pray for protection from the plague which devastated Europe in the 17th and 18th centuries, is one of the best known and most prominent sculptural artworks in the city.

A closer look and one would easily find Emperor Leopold I on the most open side, easily identified by the protruding lower lip – a facial characteristic common to the Habsburg dynasty. ????????
