Dr. Mohammed Zaher al-Nono, a medical doctor at Al Shifa Medical Complex in Gaza, refused to leave the hospital and insisted on continuing to treat the wounded. According to witnesses and media sources, he was executed by the Israeli army forces in front of his patients in retaliation.
