IN THIS WORLD ALREADY SLATED FOR DESTRUCTION BY GOD! [2PT.3:10-13] 🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥 RECOGNIZING THE SATANIC TRAPS OF HATE,MALICE AND ENVY IN THE CHURCH. 🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥 We have learnt that there are so many desperate traps and snares,the common enemy has laid in the church to take away our TIME, ENERGY AND FOCUS. And unfortunately,we keep on falling victims. And some of these traps, we don’t like to talk about when it comes to church. In fact we make great efforts to hide the HATE, ENVY and MALICE that PERMEATES THROUGHOUT OUR CHURCHES. But lets not forget. God talked about it first. In Genesis 37:3-5, we find these words: “Now Israel, (Jacob), loved Joseph more than all his children, because he was the son of his old age; and he made him a coat of many colors. And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him more, and could not speak peaceable unto him. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren; and they hated him yet the more.” Genesis 37: 11 says, “And his brethren envied him… The brothers of Joseph hated him because he had favor with their father Jacob. The hatred grew because of the blessing from their father to their younger brother. This hatred turned into envy as a result of Joseph spiritual gift of dreams. Today HATRED and ENVY is GROWING throughout our churches because believers are jealous of other believers material blessings and spiritual blessings from the God our Father. BUT, DON'T BE FOOLED, IT ISN'T BECAUSE OF MATERIAL AND SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS ALONE, THEY'VE THEIRS TOO, BUT SELFISHNESS AND THE CRAVE FOR RECOGNITION MAKES THEM ANGRY,WHEN THEY SEE OTHERS BEING SIMILARLY BLESSED. The Bible says in Proverbs 10:12, “hatred stirs up strife.” Hatred in the church wakes up and stirs up the evil flesh of believers. As a result, it gives birth to division, cliques, schisms, partiality, gossip, judging, lies and deception in individual local congregations and in the Body of Christ as a whole. All of this often starts in the pulpit and moves it’s way down to various congregations. Starts in the pulpit by pastors who display respect and commendation for highest tithers and project sponsors. The Bible also says in I John 2:11 and 3:15, “But he that hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and know not where he goes because darkness has blinded his eyes. Whosoever hates his brother is a murderer; and you know no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.” In essence, the MAIN REASON there is so much HATE in the CHURCH is BECAUSE the CHURCH is FULL of PEOPLE who CLAIM to BE SAVED, BUT WHO REALLY ARE NOT; from the PULPIT (PASTORS)to the pews! This is why so many people claim to love God, of whom they have never seen, but yet hate their brothers and sisters who they see everyday! The worst thing about having hate in your heart is that it also creates a pathway for a person to live with, and in, envy and malice. An unknown writer once wrote, “ENVY is the most PRECIOUS DAUGHTER of THE DEVIL because it follows his footsteps by HINDERING GOOD and PROMOTING EVIlL" The devil plants a seed of hatred in our hearts so that his DAUGHTER, ENVY, can ABIDE and GROW IN US. Envy is what causes so many to try to hinder those who are trying so desperately to do good and to do the right thing. Envy also deceptively comforts us when we promote evil, in some form or fashion, against other believers. ENVY IS RAMPANT IN THE CHURCH, EVEN MORE THAN IN THE WORLD. Pitiably, the people that are slaves to these diseases of hatred,envy and MALICE,are mostly the highest "noisemakers" in church. Leading praises and worship, opening prayers... infact,they are prayer warriors blasting away in other tongues. ENVY HAS a TWIN SISTER by the NAME OF MALICE. Malice produces inward satisfaction when those with hatred and envy In their heart see you fail. That is why so many believers love to gossip about the mistakes, sins or misdeeds of others. Malice give them more satisfaction than keeping their mouths shut and praying for the person who has fallen short of the glory of God. Most gossip is the by product of envy and malice. Envy and malice usually generates slander and unwarranted criticism. That is why church folk love to gossip and talk negative things about other church folk. That is why they love to add lies to the truth and lies to more lies. That is why they are always critical of both the saved and unsaved. That is why in the eyes of some of your so called Christian friends you can never do anything right. That is why, no matter what good thing or things you are doing they always have to bring up the negative things in your past. WHAT HURTS ME MOST IS OUR FAILURE TO RECOGNIZE THAT IT'S THE DEVIL AT WORK, AND WE WILLINGLY GIVE hIM ROOM TO OPERATE. BUT THE MOST ABOMINATION ABOUT THESE THREE SINS OF HATRED, ENVY and MALICE, is WHEN BELIEVERS HIDE BEHIND THE VEIL OF RELIGION AND SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS. This combination creates a poison that can be deadly to others. We all know, if we would be honest, that hatred, envy and malice are rampant in our churches. But we have one truth that comforts us and energizes us to keep moving forward. “If GOD be for you, who can be against you?” My immediate concern,pain,hurt and desire is FOR US to recognize this common enemy, and deal with him in united seriousness. Thus, those of us who felt impatient and felt slighted by both God and man,that upon all our faithfulness, it seems we have been abandoned,and inspite of these several warnings,we still fall prey to the devil's antics of distraction AND CHOSE TO DINE WITH THE DEVIL AT WHATEVER COST... meanwhile this was the ultimate aim of our common enemy, and gladly obliged them, oftentimes hiding the consequences from them, and leaving them to discover and learn the hard way. 13. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2Co 11: 13-15) Christ Jesus was no one's fool when HE warned, it's easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to make God's Kingdom (pastor or member,believer or unbeliever)! *THOSE WHO STARTED WELL ARE ENDING POORLY, BECAUSE OF HAVING TASTED *THE WORLD*! Let's look at a funny but serious example; Many affluent clerics can give you a MIND BLOWING FIGURE of their exploits in philanthropy. But in their churches,are many who can't afford the school fees of the Church owned(Abi G.O owned) schools...the same with the medical facilities...AND MILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF NAIRA AND DOLLARS LIE dormant in their bank accounts. Many are sharing one room apartments,others entirely homeless,but their churches have ESTATES. IT ISN'T AS IF IT CAN BE DONE FOR EVERY SINGLE PERSON...BUT WHAT YOU HAVE DONE SO FAR,CAN IT BE COMMENSURATE TO WHAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED? WHY BLAME POLITICIANS. Now,the fun is this,these clerics,when they were still at the bottom of the ladder, they were invoking passion and stirring emotions as they called,WHAT THEMSELVES ARE DOING NOW,*INJUSTICE*, but today, it's a little less injustice, I suppose. IN A NUTSHELL, MANY OF US CLERICS ARE GOING TO HAVE A LOT TO ANSWER BEFORE GOD... BECAUSE WHEN THE BLESSINGS OF THE MANDATE CAME, OUR VISION AS KEEPERS OF GOD'S FLOCKS WAS BLURRED, OUR VALUES AND PRINCIPLES WERE TAMPERED WITH,BY THE CRAVINGS OF THE WORLD. REMEMBER; YOU CAN'T PUT YOUR HAND IN THE FIRE, WITHOUT GETTING BURNT,OR SCARRED EVEN! We serve a Merciful GOD... there's yet time,as we breathe...but is the willingness there? On Thursday, Joe Rogan and Marvel megastar Josh Brolin traded stories about the preponderance of Covid vaccine injuries among their friends. Brolin even described contracting “a mild case of Bell’s Palsy” earlier this year, which Rogan attributed to the vaccine, noting he knew several people who suffered facial paralysis following Covid vaccination. There is no perfect medicine. The benefits and harms of any treatment must be carefully considered in order to prescribe the safest, most effective course of action for a patient. While the FDA and CDC continue to extol the benefits of the Covid vaccines, they have ignored a growing body of evidence that these products can also be harmful. The code of medical ethics demands a transparent and balanced accounting of their impact on the American people. Only then can we set the best course for healthcare policy and future pandemics. An honest accounting begins with clinical trials, supposedly “the most rigorous in history.” Pfizer’s own legal arguments suggest otherwise. Responding to a whistleblower lawsuit alleging major deviations from protocol, Pfizer’s lawyers noted that the company’s “Other Transactions Authority” agreement (OTA) with the Pentagon didn’t require clinical trials to comply with FDA regulations because the vaccine was a military prototype for “medical countermeasures.” This agreement allowed Pfizer to “grade its own homework,” so to speak — a point emphasized by DOJ lawyers in a separate filing in Pfizer’s support. The FDA intended to keep Pfizer’s data hidden for 75 years, but attorney Aaron Siri’s FOIA lawsuit forced the agency to release them. Naomi Wolf’s DailyClout led 3,250 volunteer experts in analyzing more than 450,000 pages of internal Pfizer documents and uncovered massive harms ignored by the FDA, detailed in The Pfizer Papers: Pfizer’s Crimes Against Humanity. This effort revealed 1,233 deaths in the first three months of the vaccine rollout, and a litany of injuries: “industrial-scale blood diseases: blood clots, lung clots, leg clots; thrombotic thrombocytopenia, a clotting disease of the blood vessels; vasculitis, dementias, tremors, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, epilepsies.” These harms are echoed by data from V-safe, a smartphone-based tool created by the CDC. Among 10.1 million registered V-safe users, 7.7 percent reported side effects so serious they were compelled to seek medical care, many more than once. The main culprit is the Covid spike protein encoded in the vaccine’s mRNA technology. This protein is an antigen, or foreign immunogenic substance, located on the outer coat of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, that triggers an immune response. The mRNA in the shots instructs the body’s cells to produce identical spike proteins, inducing the immune system to create antibodies that bind to them, theoretically protecting vaccinated individuals against the virus. Unfortunately, this plan has a fatal flaw: The spike itself is toxic and potentially deadly. Hundreds of peer-reviewed articles have demonstrated the spike’s potential for harm independent of the rest of the virus. Potential complications include myocarditis, blood clots, neurological injuries, and immune dysfunction. Pfizer’s own pre-market biodistribution studies show that vaccine components leave the injection site in the arm and penetrate every major organ system within hours, where mRNA can linger for weeks, forcing cells to churn out more and more of the toxic spike protein, which can persist for months. There is no way to predict how much spike protein the mRNA injections will produce in any individual, and there is no “off switch.” According to CDC figures analyzed in Toxic Shot: Facing the Dangers of the COVID “Vaccines,” from 2021-2023 the U.S. suffered 600,000 excess deaths not associated with Covid. Furthermore, Bureau of Labor Statistics data reveal two million Americans became newly disabled, with unusual excesses in historically low-risk groups. These trends coincided with mass Covid vaccination, including an unaccountable 59 percent surge in deaths among Americans ages 15-44 in the third quarter of 2021 compared to 2019. Crucially Covid contributed only part of this excess mortality: in that quarter the U.S. suffered around 201,000 excess deaths, with Covid officially accounting for 123,000, leaving 78,000 excess deaths — 39 percent of the total — still unexplained. Similar figures from abroad underscore a tragic loss of life among healthy people at minimal serious risk from the virus. It could get worse. No carcinogenicity studies were performed on the injections prior to their launch, thus long-term cancer risks are essentially unknown. The spike protein also appears prone to prion-like misfolding, raising the specter of potential neurodegenerative disorders. Medical ethics demand a balanced approach to every intervention, weighing potential benefits against potential harms. However, in the case of the Covid vaccines, federal agencies have chosen only to proclaim benefits. By surfacing data that bear upon both the positive and negative impacts of the Covid vaccines, and evaluating the pandemic performance of CDC, FDA, and other health agencies, the new administration can restore confidence and integrity in medicine and public health. An investigation into the fatal seizures was led by forensic pathologist Dr. Joseph A. Prahlow. Prahlow is a Professor of Pathology at St. Louis University School of Medicine and the Assistant Medical Examiner at the City of St. Louis’s Office of the Medical Examiner. The renowned expert is now raising the alarm after discovering that once-rare seizures are a terrifying adverse effect of Covid mRNA injection. Prahlow revealed that he investigated cases where no alternative cause could be identified, proving, without doubt, that the “vaccines” caused the fatal seizure spike. When determining the plausibility of vaccine-induced seizures, Prahlow’s paper highlights the established frameworks, such as the World Health Organization’s (WHO) causality assessment criteria and Brighton Collaborative Criteria. The paper also identifies other neurological adverse events associated with “vaccines,” such as encephalitis and stroke. These broader neurological effects could provide additional insights into the mechanisms of vaccine-induced seizures. This study contributes meaningfully to the discussion on vaccine safety by shedding light on rarely-discussed adverse events like seizure-related deaths. The researchers documented the case of the 73-year-old man who had received a Pfizer mRNA Covid shot. He developed a headache that was followed by violent seizures, loss of consciousness, and finally death. The case is a cause for concern as the man was killed in under two days after being injected, the researchers note. The study, conducted by world-renowned Japanese scientists Shimura M, Fujikawa H, Yazawa M, et al., is titled “An Autopsy Case of Reversible Cerebral Vasoconstriction Syndrome After a Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 Vaccination.” The scientific study determined that a form of brain damage can occur rapidly after a person is injected with a Covid mRNA shot. Meanwhile, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revealed last year that a safety signal has been detected that suggests Covid mRNA shots may be linked to a spike in seizures among toddlers following vaccination. As Slay News reported, researchers with the FDA and three large healthcare companies revealed the findings in a new preprint study. The study shows that seizures/convulsions “met the statistical threshold for a signal” in children aged 2 to 4 following receipt of a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. They are the faces of your children, who will fill your homes with noise and laughter.” These were the last words written by my sister in a text message to one of her daughters. Dr. Soma Baroud was murdered on October 9, 2024 when Israeli warplanes bombed a taxi that carried her and other tired Gazans somewhere near the Bani Suhaila roundabout near Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip. I am still unable to understand whether she was on her way to the hospital, where she worked, or leaving the hospital to go home. Does it even matter? The news of her murder – or, more accurately assassination, as Israel has deliberately targeted and killed 986 medical workers, including 165 doctors – arrived through a screenshot copied from a Facebook page. “Update: these are the names of the martyrs of the latest Israeli bombing of two taxis in the Khan Younis area ..,” the post read. It was followed by a list of names. “Soma Mohammed Mohammed Baroud” was the fifth name on the list, and the 42,010th on Gaza’s ever-growing list of martyrs. I refused to believe the news, even when more posts began popping up everywhere on social media, listing her as number five, and sometimes six in the list of martyrs of the Khan Yunis strike. I kept calling her, over and over again, hoping that the line would crackle a bit, followed by a brief silence, and then her kind, motherly voice would say, “Marhaba Abu Sammy. How are you, brother?” But she never picked up. I had told her repeatedly that she does not need to bother with elaborate text or audio messages due to the unreliable internet connection and electricity. “Every morning,” I said, “just type: ‘we are fine’.” That’s all I asked of her. But she would skip several days without writing, often due to the lack of an internet connection. Then, a message would arrive, though never brief. She wrote with a torrent of thoughts, linking up her daily struggle to survive, to her fears for her children, to poetry, to a Qur’anic verse, to one of her favorite novels, and so on. “You know, what you said last time reminds me of Gabriel García Márquez’s One Hundred Years of Solitude,” she said on more than one occasion, before she would take the conversation into the most complex philosophical spins. I would listen, and just repeat, “Yes .. totally .. I agree .. one hundred percent.” For us, Soma was a larger-than-life figure. This is precisely why her sudden absence has shocked us to the point of disbelief. Her children, though grown up, felt orphaned. But her brothers, me included, felt the same way. I wrote about Soma as a central character in my book “My Father Was a Freedom Fighter”, because she was indeed central to our lives, and to our very survival in a Gaza refugee camp. The first born, and only daughter, she had to carry a much greater share of work and expectations than the rest of us. She was just a child, when my eldest brother Anwar, still a toddler, died in a UNRWA clinic at the Nuseirat refugee camp due to the lack of medicine. Then, she was introduced to pain, the kind of pain that with time turned into a permanent state of grief that would never abandon her until her murder by a US-supplied Israeli bomb in Khan Younis. Two years after the death of the first Anwar, another boy was born. They also called him Anwar, so that the legacy of the first boy may carry on. Soma cherished the newcomer, maintaining a special friendship with him for decades to come. My father began his life as a child laborer, then a fighter in the Palestine Liberation Army, then a police officer during the Egyptian administration of Gaza, then, once again a laborer; that’s because he refused to join the Israeli-funded Gaza police force after the war of 1967, known as the Naksa. A clever, principled man, and a self-taught intellectual, my Dad did everything he could to provide a measure of dignity for his small family; and Soma, a child, often barefoot, stood by him every step of the way. When he decided to become a merchant, as in buying discarded and odd items in Israel and repackaging them to sell in the refugee camp, Soma was his main helper. Though her skin healed, cuts on her fingers, due to individually wrapping thousands of razors, remained a testament to the difficult life she lived. “Soma’s little finger is worth more than a thousand men,” my father would often repeat, to remind us, ultimately five boys, that our sister will always be the main heroine in the family’s story. Now that she is a martyr, that legacy has been secured for eternity. Years later, my parents would send her to Aleppo to obtain a medical degree. She returned to Gaza, where she spent over three decades healing the pain of others, though never her own. She worked at Al-Shifa Hospital, at Nasser Hospital among other medical centers. Later, she obtained another certificate in family medicine, opening a clinic of her own. She did not charge the poor, and did all she could to heal those victimized by war. Soma was a member of a generation of female doctors in Gaza that truly changed the face of medicine, collectively putting great emphasis on the rights of women to medical care and expanding the understanding of family medicine to include psychological trauma with particular emphasis on the centrality, but also the vulnerability of women in a war-torn society. When my daughter Zarefah managed to visit her in Gaza shortly before the war, she told me that “when aunt Soma walked into the hospital, an entourage of women – doctors, nurses, and other medical staff – would surround her in total adoration.” At one point, it felt that all of Soma’s suffering was finally paying off: a nice family home in Khan Younis, with a small olive orchard, and a few palm trees; a loving husband, himself a professor of law, and eventually the dean of law school at a reputable Gaza university; three daughters and two sons, whose educational specialties ranged from dentistry to pharmacy, to law to engineering. Life, even under siege, at least for Soma and her family, seemed manageable. True, she was not allowed to leave the Strip for many years due to the blockade, and thus we were denied the chance to see her for years on end. True, she was tormented by loneliness and seclusion, thus her love affair and constant citation from García Márquez’s seminal novel. But at least her husband was not killed or went missing. Her beautiful house and clinic were still standing. And she was living and breathing, communicating her philosophical nuggets about life, death, memories and hope. “If I could only find the remains of Hamdi, so that we can give him a proper burial,” she wrote to me last January, when the news circulated that her husband was executed by an Israeli quadcopter in Khan Yunis. But since the body remained missing, she held on to some faint hope that he was still alive. Her boys, on the other hand, kept digging in the wreckage and debris of the area where Hamdi was shot, hoping to find him and to give him a proper burial. They would often be attacked by Israeli drones in the process of trying to unearth their father’s body. They would run away, and return with their shovels to carry on with the grim task. To maximize their chances of survival, my sister’s family decided to split up between displacement camps and other family homes in southern Gaza. This meant that Soma had to be in a constant state of moving, traveling, often long distances on foot, between towns, villages, and refugee camps, just to check on her children, following every incursion, and every massacre. “I am exhausted,” she kept telling me. “All I want from life is for this war to end, for new cozy pajamas, my favorite book, and a comfortable bed.” These simple and reasonable expectations looked like a mirage, especially when her home in the Qarara area, in Khan Younis, was demolished by the Israeli army last month. “My heart aches. Everything is gone. Three decades of life, of memories, of achievement, all turned into rubble,” she wrote. “This is not a story about stones and concrete. It is much bigger. It is a story that cannot be fully told, however long I wrote or spoke. Seven souls had lived here. We ate, drank, laughed, quarreled, and despite all the challenges of living in Gaza, we managed to carve out a happy life for our family,” she continued. A few days before she was killed, she told me that she had been sleeping in a half-destroyed building belonging to her neighbors in Qarara. She sent me a photo taken by her son, as she sat on a makeshift chair, on which she also slept amidst the ruins. She looked tired, so very tired. There was nothing I could say or do to convince her to leave. She insisted that she wanted to keep an eye on the rubble of what remained of her home. Her logic made no sense to me. I pleaded with her to leave. She ignored me, and instead kept sending me photos of what she had salvaged from the rubble, an old photo, a small olive tree, a birth certificate .. My last message to her, hours before she was killed, was a promise that when the war is over, I will do everything in my power to compensate her for all of this. That the whole family would meet in Egypt, or Türkiye, and that we will shower her with gifts, and boundless family love. I finished with, “let’s start planning now. Whatever you want. You just say it. Awaiting your instructions…” She never saw the message. Even when her name, as yet another casualty of the Israeli genocide in Gaza was mentioned in local Palestinian news, I refused to believe it. I continued to call. “Please pick up, Soma, please pick up,” I pleaded with her. Only when a video emerged of white body bags arriving at Nasser Hospital in the back of an ambulance, I thought maybe my sister was indeed gone. Some of the bags had the names of the others mentioned in the social media posts. Each bag was pulled out separately and placed on the ground. A group of mourners, bereaved men, women and children would rush to hug the body, screaming the same shouts of agony and despair that accompanied this ongoing genocide from the first day. Then, another bag, with the name ‘Soma Mohammed Mohammed Baroud’ written across the thick white plastic. Her colleagues carried her body and gently laid it on the ground. They were about to zip the bag open to verify her identity. I looked the other way. I refuse to see her but in the way that she wanted to be seen, a strong person, a manifestation of love, kindness and wisdom, whose “little finger is worth more than a thousand men.” But why do I continue to check my messages with the hope that she will text me to tell me that the whole thing was a major, cruel misunderstanding and that she is okay? There is no guarantee that they will be safe from Israel’s bombs and bullets if they choose either option. These are dilemmas no human should ever have to endure, yet recent research by Action For Humanity found that 98 percent of the 200,000 people in the “humanitarian zones” in central Gaza have had to wrestle with them. In fact, according to our findings, more than a quarter of these people have had to move 10 or more times in the past 13 months. The research, based on the testimonies of displaced Palestinians on the ground, revealed that Israel’s “evacuation orders” often give people just an hour, and sometimes even less, to pack up what remains of their lives and run for their lives. And when they agree to “evacuate”, they are often still chased by a hail of bullets as they try to find new shelter in another “humanitarian zone”. The devastating details in the report, titled Erasure by Design, make it clear that there are no real humanitarian zones in Gaza and that the “evacuation orders” Israel issues are not aimed at getting Palestinians out of harm’s way. The use of these terms by Israel, its allies and international media serve only to whitewash what is happening before our eyes in Gaza: land grabs under the threat of extermination. It is doing so to ensure nowhere in Gaza is safe for Palestinians. It is trying to kill two birds with one stone: creating the illusion of adherence to humanitarian law while laying the groundwork for illegally expanding Israeli territory. The reality on the ground is clear: There are no “humanitarian zones” or “evacuation orders” but only threats of extermination and islands of medieval suffering not fit for basic survival, let alone dignified living. Satellite images reviewed by NYT showed the Israeli army has built at least 19 large bases throughout the area and dozens of small ones, suggesting plans for a long-term occupation. “While some were built earlier in the war, the imagery also shows that the pace of construction appears to be accelerating: 12 of the bases were either built or expanded since early September,” NYT writes. As a result of the construction, the corridor has slowly grown into a 46.6 square-kilometer military zone occupied by Israeli forces. Hamas made the announcement as key mediators, including Egypt, Qatar and the United States, launch another effort to reach a ceasefire that would see the release of Israeli captives. A record number of Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in 2024, and the number of detentions and administrative detainees reached a historic high. Since the beginning of the war, many attacks on Palestinians by soldiers and settlers have been documented throughout the West Bank. The attacks were aimed at Palestinians suspected of no wrongdoing and often carried out in plain sight, in full view of officers and commanders. Soldiers are being urged to take more “proactive” and “offensive” actions, while the public is demanding – or, at least, accepting – revenge on all Palestinians for the crimes of Hamas. They see themselves as authorized to play the role of prosecutor, judge and executioner in any encounter with a Palestinian. In practice, every soldier has been granted virtually unlimited power to use violent means of oppression. They know they will not be held accountable for their conduct. B’Tselem’s field researchers gathered testimonies from Palestinians who were attacked by soldiers in the city center of Hebron between May and August 2024. Their accounts indicate a rise in the scope, type and severity of violence that soldiers are currently employing against Palestinians in the West Bank. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to reject the PA and Fatah’s involvement in any post-war government in Gaza. The premier has advanced his own plans for the ‘day after’ the war, which involves indefinite Israeli security control over the strip. Israel strikes Lebanon again and again, but hopes ceasefire will hold Israel has a unique and unilateral interpretation of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, whereby Israel has given itself the right to enforce that agreement with “fire”. So far, according to UNIFIL, the UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon, Israel has broken the ceasefire at least 100 times. These were the words of the Israeli army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, “We will maintain the ceasefire with fire”, meaning that Israel can strike at Hezbollah on Lebanese territory and beyond. Israel views any infraction, any movement, any activity of Hezbollah as a violation that it has the right to respond to. US envoy Amos Hochstein has expressed frustration and fear that these Israeli attacks could threaten this fragile ceasefire. In the meantime, Israel continues striking but is still hoping that this ceasefire would hold. Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar told his French counterpart in a phone call that his country is, in fact, enforcing the ceasefire – which stipulates Hezbollah’s withdrawal from the Israel-Lebanon border area – rather than violating it, Sa’ar said on X Monday.
