    SYSTEMIC FAVOURITISM AND RACISM IN GOD'S CHURCH!(JAS.2:1-7)

    I'm aware that I'm treading on dangerous grounds,but the Truth must be upheld at all times as Christlike believers,no matter how hard it seems. I trust the Lord to help me.

    You don't have to believe it,but at the same time you can't deny it that there's selective treatment in our local assemblies today which ought not to be so. If you fall positive side of it,you will see nothing wrong with it,but if you're at the negative side,the receiving end of the evils of selective treatment(like me), you will be on the same page with God's Word on this hydra headed monster.

    Lets see what is favoritism

    Personal favoritism: This word denotes partiality or biased judgment based on external circumstances, such as race, wealth, social rank, etc. It ignores the value of the individual as a person.When we see around the world for instance.

    American history, we see the story of how blacks and the colored are mistreated by white America.We also know of how 6 million Jews were killed by Nazis because of hatred. We see the story of Nepotism on our television screens and social media.

    No one can conscience free admit not knowing the pains identified with WOODY GUTHRIE'S,*DEPORTEES!* It has been sung again and again by different musicians, underlying that tragedy.

    Why are there groups of so-called Christians in America today called the *THE WHITE EVANGELICALS* WITHOUT A CORRESPONDING BLACK OR COLORED EVANGELICALS IN THE SAME AMERICA?

    Back home in my country, Nigeria,in the big pentecostal churches, it's mostly a family and tribal affair,with key relevant offices being held by the tribe or family members of the General Overseers... Isn't this favouritism occasioned by tribal racism?
    WHERE DOES THIS COME FROM IN THE BIBLE WE ALL READ?

    SOME TYPES OF FAVORITISM;

    Nepotism:
    In business, hiring family members regardless of qualifications.
    Cryonism:
    In business, hiring friends regardless of qualifications.

    Gender Bias:
    Believing that one gender is better than the other; treating the other gender poorly.

    Age-ism:
    Treating someone different because of their age… usually the very young or the very old.

    Racism:
    Treating one race different than others; usually preferring one’s own race to others. I AGAIN WANT TO EMPHASIZE THAT WHAT TRANSPIRES IN OUR TOP CHURCHES IN NIGERIA IS ACTUALLY *RACISM!* TRIBALISM IS RACISM IN A SECONDARY SENSE.

    And it didn't start today. It's the reason the God led writers of the epistles we read today condemned it. And one of such is James. In his days, there was favouritism in the church. My question for all of us is,

    What are believers role and responsibility on this subject of Favouritism?

    Let's see what James has to say;
    1. My brothers, if you have the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory, do not take a man's position into account.
    2. For if a man comes into your Synagogue in fair clothing and with a gold ring, and a poor man comes in with dirty clothing,
    3. And you do honour to the man in fair clothing and say, Come here and take this good place; and you say to the poor man, Take up your position there, or be seated at my feet;
    4. Is there not a division in your minds? have you not become judges with evil thoughts?
    5. Give ear, my dear brothers; are not those who are poor in the things of this world marked out by God to have faith as their wealth, and for their heritage the kingdom which he has said he will give to those who have love for him?
    6. But you have put the poor man to shame. Are not the men of wealth rulers over you? do they not take you by force before their judges?
    7. Do they not say evil of the holy name which was given to you? (Jas 2: 1-7)

    *THUS, LET'S BEWARE OF FAVOURITISM*

    1.Showing favouritism is a SIN.(1-4)
    Let's look at vs 9
    But if you take a man's position into account, you do evil, and are judged as evil-doers by the law. (Jas 2: 9)

    James says as believers in our glorious Lord Christ Jesus, we should remember your identity in Christ Jesus, we are redeemed, adopted, beloved children of God, The Holy spirit is living in our hearts. He means as believers and as children of God, we should not show favouritism to anyone.

    If Christ Jesus does not condemn you, if God does not show you partiality, if God does not judge you, who are we to show partiality, who are we to condemn.

    That's why James said we should not show partiality.

    James uses the word “favoritism.” The word means “respecter of persons” or to “show partiality.” James is talking about the fault of giving judgment to the outward circumstances of man or woman and thinking them more worthy than others.

    It is a fault or a sin to treat someone as more worthy because they are rich, a certain skin color, have political power, or are famous.

    Its a fault or a sin to treat someone as less because they are poor, a certain skin color, have no political power, have a disability, or are in our estimation a ‘nobody.’ That is favoritism. That is sin. James identifies it specifically in verse 4 as “evil thoughts.

    When we show favouritism ,we break God’s command.

    1. We don’t follow His character.

    2. Showing partiality reveals evil thoughts. v.4

    3. Showing partiality discriminates against the poor and humble. v.5.

    4. Showing partiality shows a disgraceful attitude.v6

    5. Showing partiality shows foolish behaviour.v7.

    That is why James is pointing out that showing partiality is sin.
    For there is no respect of persons with God. (Rom 2: 11)

    For God does not show favouritism.

    26. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
    27. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
    28. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal 3: 26-28)

    Imagine in the church,a particular brethren will appeal for help in a challenging situation,the entire church will rise up, but if another believer experiences a similar challenge(probably even less) the same church will come up with excuses and church laws... disgusting, isn't it? If we can see it that way,THEN HOW MUCH MORE GOD, THE TRUE OWNER OF THE CHURCH?

    For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward(bribe):
    (Deu 10: 17)

(Jas 2: 1-7) *THUS, LET'S BEWARE OF FAVOURITISM* 👉1.Showing favouritism is a SIN.(1-4) Let's look at vs 9 But if you take a man's position into account, you do evil, and are judged as evil-doers by the law. (Jas 2: 9) James says as believers in our glorious Lord Christ Jesus, we should remember your identity in Christ Jesus, we are redeemed, adopted, beloved children of God, The Holy spirit is living in our hearts. 2. Showing partiality reveals evil thoughts. v.4 3. Showing partiality discriminates against the poor and humble. v.5. 4. Showing partiality shows a disgraceful attitude.v6 5. Showing partiality shows foolish behaviour.v7. That is why James is pointing out that showing partiality is sin. For there is no respect of persons with God. (Rom 2: 11) For God does not show favouritism. 26. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. 27. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. (Gal 3: 26-28) Imagine in the church,a particular brethren will appeal for help in a challenging situation,the entire church will rise up, but if another believer experiences a similar challenge(probably even less) the same church will come up with excuses and church laws... disgusting, isn't it? If we can see it that way,THEN HOW MUCH MORE GOD, THE TRUE OWNER OF THE CHURCH? For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward(bribe): (Deu 10: 17) To be contd...God bless you,🙇🙏!GOD REMAINS GOD WITHOUT YOU OR ME! 🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥 SYSTEMIC FAVOURITISM AND RACISM IN GOD'S CHURCH!(JAS.2:1-7) 💁💁💁💁💁💁💁💁💁💁💁💁💁💁 I'm aware that I'm treading on dangerous grounds,but the Truth must be upheld at all times as Christlike believers,no matter how hard it seems. Lets see what is favoritism Personal favoritism: This word denotes partiality or biased judgment based on external circumstances, such as race, wealth, social rank, etc. SOME TYPES OF FAVORITISM; 👉Nepotism: In business, hiring family members regardless of qualifications. 👉Cryonism: In business, hiring friends regardless of qualifications. 👉Gender Bias: Believing that one gender is better than the other; treating the other gender poorly. 👉Age-ism: Treating someone different because of their age… usually the very young or the very old. 👉Racism: Treating one race different than others; usually preferring one’s own race to others. My question for all of us is, What are believers role and responsibility on this subject of Favouritism? Let's see what James has to say; 1. My brothers, if you have the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory, do not take a man's position into account. 2. For if a man comes into your Synagogue in fair clothing and with a gold ring, and a poor man comes in with dirty clothing, 3. And you do honour to the man in fair clothing and say, Come here and take this good place; and you say to the poor man, Take up your position there, or be seated at my feet; 4. • What is spiritual healing?

    The universe runs on energy—every thought, emotion, and event is powered by it. Nothing happens by chance; everything is a result of cause and effect. Positive energy can be drained by negativity, and many struggles—sickness, tragedy, emotional pain—stem from unseen energy imbalances. A gifted spiritual healer channels high-vibrational energy to clear negativity, restore balance, and promote healing. Just being near someone with pure energy can uplift your spirit. Like doctors or musicians, true healers are born with this gift. But beware—choose only those with experience and genuine ability. A reputable healer can truly change your life. Trust energy. Trust healing.

  • JUST A MINUTE, PLEASE!
    [THE PREACHER'S CORNER]

    WHEN CHRISTIAN MUSIC LOSES ITS ORIGINAL PURPOSE! (EXO.15:21)

    I stand to be thrown every available expletive at for this,as usual. But the MESSAGE is much more GREATER than the messenger.
    Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: (Psa 147: 7)
    And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea. (Exo 15: 21)

    I see a minimum of three times in Exodus 15:1–21 the Bible says they sang “to the LORD.”

    The song was not an expression of joy, it was for sure not a moment of entertainment. They sang as an act of thanksgiving and worship.

    In the book of Ephesians, we read;
    Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; (Eph 5: 19)

    There is a time and place to sing spiritual songs “to yourselves” but even then, it is in the heart and to the Lord. There is no occasion I can find where singing praises to God is purely for the benefit of a human audience.

    But sadly that's where we find ourselves in contemporary Christian music (both in and outside the church.)

    Our hearts are so wicked that we become easily deceived.
    Modern Christianity has been duped into believing that Christian music is an acceptable form of entertainment.

    The Nigerian and even Global gospel music ministry has been turned into an industry. And in Nigeria especially, it is just a vivid reflection of the country’s gloomy socio-religious landscape, characterized by the emergence/prevalence of fake ministers and various ubiquitous instrumentalities that perpetrate spiritual bareness in the country.

    Aspects of religiosity observed in some Nigerian gospel songs include controversial rhythms, imitations/adaptations of worldly songs, lyrical emphasis on prosperity (materialism, fame and earthly glories) at the detriment of spirituality/salvation, gospel artists being associated with sex scandals and occult practices.

    INDEED, THERE'S NO CLEARLY SPELT OUT VERSE IN THE SCRIPTURES THAT MADE PRAISING THE LORD AND TEACHING GOD'S WORD THROUGH SONGS, A MINISTRY OF ITS OWN. RATHER, WE WERE(ARE) CREATED BY GOD FOR THIS VERY PURPOSE...TO GLORIFY HIM.

    Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (Rev 4: 11)

    And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: (Rev 19: 1)

    And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. (Rev 19: 4)

    The scriptures abovesignify our lives on the other side of eternity. AND ITS PRACTICE BEGINS RIGHT HERE.
    Our Psalmist(a man after God's Heart,David), was given to sing to king Saul for a specific purpose;
    And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. (1Sa 16: 23)

    Even Prophet Elisha demanded for spirit lifting music when he wants ACCESS INTO GOD'S PRESENCE,and not for mere entertainment and money market as it has become today.

    HOW MUCH DID CHRIST JESUS CHARGE FOR TICKETS TO ATTEND HIS CRUSADES, BECAUSE CHRISTIAN MUSICAL ASSEMBLIES ARE ACTUALLY EVANGELISM THROUGH SONGS. IMAGINE CHRISTIAN SINGERS BEING HIRED TO SING IN SOCIAL EVENTS... LIKE MARRIAGES, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, BURIALS, POLITICAL RALLIES AND CAMPAIGNS,ETC! I'M AWARE THIS IS DIFFICULT TO SWALLOW, BUT IT ISN'T RIGHT.

    I'm sorry,but so many things we dig for loopholes in the Bible to support are not Biblical nor accepted by God. IT MAY LOOK RIGHT IN OUR EYES, BUT GOD DOESN'T SEE THEM IN THE SAME WAY...HIS WORD IS HIS WORD!

    Very little seemingly insignificant things will make a lot of us to be on the wrong side of eternity. The Bible calls them besetting sins.
    If we remember, we've studied this subject before sometimes ago. I only revisited it because of recent and equally alarming events, especially the saga of a supposed christian singer who personally fixed his honorarium and the exclusive accomodations for him and forty(40) of his entourage. Any difference between his demands and secular musicians,or even political meetings? Now,tell me, what is he going to deliver when he gets there? The Gospel...hell no! He is going to deliver SELF, JUST LIKE A VERY GREAT POPULATION OF OUR TODAY'S PASTORS, FROM WHOM THEY'RE LEARNING OR HAVE LEARNT.

    HAVING THE POTENTIALS TO *SING UNTO THE LORD* SHOULD BE SEEN AS A GREAT PRIVILEGE FROM GOD THAT SHOULD HUMBLE US,AND NOT THE OTHER WAY ROUND.

    Christian musicians now make a living hosting huge concerts where they “sing to the Lord” gospel songs meant to entertain large gatherings of Christians. The organization isn't any different from what we see in the secular. It is a multi-million, if not billion, Naira industry, and it is pure idolatry. They have a huge fan base that worships them,and not GOD ANYMORE!
    IT'S EVEN MADE WORSE BY THEIR *UNBELIEVER*PRODUCERS WHO STATE CERTAIN (UNGODLY) TERMS FOR THEM TO BE SIGNED IN. ALL FOR WHAT... WEALTH AND FAME!

    I don’t want to make it sound wicked. But it is evil in the sense that it is not what the Bible teaches music is for. It becomes a wicked thing when we bring it ALSO into our CHURCHES where we have TRANSITIONED NOW to MAKING the SERVICE about MINISTERING to the PEOPLE who ASSEMBLE RATHER THAN THE GOD THEY were SUPPOSED to have ASSEMBLED BEFORE.

    Today, in dressing, hairstyles, tattoos and every other facet of life,you can't distinguish between a secular and a Christian singer. Songs that are meant to be spirit and soul lifting are now purely and merely flesh gratifying.

    IT'S TIME TO OPEN OUR BIBLES MORE REGULARLY TO COMPARE WHAT GOD'S WORD SAYS AS AGAINST, WHAT THE WORLD WILL HAVE US BELIEVE.

(Rev 4: 11) And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honour, and power, unto the Lord our God: (Rev 19: 1) And the four and twenty elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God that sat on the throne, saying, Amen; Alleluia. (Rev 19: 4) The scriptures above👆signify our lives on the other side of eternity. AND ITS PRACTICE BEGINS RIGHT HERE. Our Psalmist(a man after God's Heart,David), was given to sing to king Saul for a specific purpose; And it came to pass, when the evil spirit from God was upon Saul, that David took an harp, and played with his hand: so Saul was refreshed, and was well, and the evil spirit departed from him. (1Sa 16: 23) Even Prophet Elisha demanded for spirit lifting music when he wants ACCESS INTO GOD'S PRESENCE,and not for mere entertainment and money market as it has become today. 🙇🙏!
