A massive technology outage has disrupted businesses and institutions in multiple countries, throwing airports, airlines, rail companies, government services, banks, stock exchanges, supermarkets, telecoms, health systems and media outlets into chaos.

The disruption was caused by an update to a product offered by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, which had caused machines running the Microsoft Windows operating system to crash.

Reporting from London, Al Jazeera’s Jonah Hull said, “CrowdStrike seems to have had some sort of mandatory update to its software that went horribly wrong.”

The company had reported that the issue was related to its Falcon sensor product, engineers identifying a “content deployment problem”, said Hull.

“Essentially it happens as you’re sitting in front of your terminal. If your terminal is a Microsoft Windows terminal, it suddenly goes to a blank blue screen. It’s called the ‘blue screen of death’ error. You are locked out of your operating system,” Hull said.

CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz said on Friday that the outage was not a “security or cyber incident”.

“We understand the gravity of the situation and are deeply sorry for the inconvenience and disruption. We are working with all impacted customers to ensure that systems are back up and they can deliver the services their customers are counting on,” he wrote on X.

“As noted earlier, the issue has been identified and a fix has been deployed.”

Microsoft said on Friday that the “underlying cause” of the global outage had been “fixed”, but the “residual impact” was continuing to affect some Office 365 apps and services.

In the United States, major airlines Delta, United and American Airlines were grounded on Friday morning due to a communication issue, according to an update by the Federal Aviation Administration.

In Australia, flight information screens at Sydney airport went blank. The airport said that flights were arriving and departing but that travellers should expect delays.

Melbourne airport said that check-in procedures for some airlines had been affected.

Airports in the United Kingdom, Germany, India, Malaysia and the Philippines also reported disruptions to services.

Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport, one of Europe’s busiest hubs, was also hit, with a spokesperson saying: “The outage has an impact on flights flying from and to Schiphol,” adding that it was not yet clear how many flights were affected.

All airports in Spain were experiencing “disruptions”, the airport operator Aena said.

Air France said its operations were also affected, but that flights already en route were not affected.

Hong Kong Airport Authority said airlines affected by the outage have switched to manual check-in and flight operations have not been affected.

Kenya Airways’s booking system was impacted, the airline said, warning customers to expect slower service than usual.

Multiple other sectors were also affected.

Banks and other financial institutions from Australia to India and South Africa warned clients about disruptions to their services.

Australia’s largest bank, Commonwealth Bank (CBA.AX), said some customers had been unable to transfer money due to the service outage.

In the UK, the London Stock Exchange (LSE) was hit by a technical glitch that affected its news service and delayed its display of opening trades.

Media companies also saw their broadcasts severely disrupted.

Australia’s national broadcaster, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and Network Ten confirmed that their systems had been affected.

Sky News, one of the UK’s major news broadcasters went off air, apologising for being unable to transmit live.

    Government services were also hit.

In the UK, booking systems used by doctors were offline, multiple reports from medical officials on X said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates said some of its systems were impacted, including its “attestation service”, in a post on X. “We advise users to refrain from conducting any transactions until this issue is resolved,” it said.

In Australia, Victoria’s state police said some internal systems had been hit by the outage but emergency services were operating normally.

New Zealand’s parliamentary computer systems were affected, according to Rafael Gonzalez-Montero, head of the parliamentary service.

Amazon’s AWS cloud service provider said in a statement that it was “investigating reports of connectivity issues to Windows EC2 instances and Workspaces within AWS”.

At the time of reporting, some of the malfunctioning business, companies and computer app systems were beginning to return to normal service, including Sky News in the United Kingdom, which was down for an hour in the morning.

Services of South African lenders Capitec Bank CPIJ.J and Absa ABGJ.J and airline Airlink have also been fully restored after the outage.

The New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq said markets also worked normally as of midday Friday.

Major US banks, including Bank of America and Goldman Sachs, also said they had not seen any major impact on their systems or operations.

    Not a ‘malicious act’

Australia’s National Cyber Security Coordinator said on Friday that it was aware of a “large-scale technical outage” affecting numerous business and services across the country.

“Our current information is this outage relates to a technical issue with a third-party software platform employed by affected companies,” the agency said in a statement.

“There is no information to suggest it is a cyber security incident. We continue to engage across key stakeholders.”

France’s cybersecurity agency said Friday that there was no evidence that the global IT outage was “the result of a cyberattack.”

“The teams are fully mobilised to identify and support the affected entities in France and to understand… the origin of this outage,” ANSSI, the national cybersecurity agency said.

A UK government security source told the Reuters news agency that the outage was not being treated as “a malicious act”.

    Corey Lynn

Repetition doesn’t make it true. Facts do matter when trying to assess the big picture. There are countless psychological campaigns rolling out simultaneously, most of which are done to induce fear and cognitive dissonance while other goals are achieved. Alongside those are hyped up clickbait posts on social media that are meant to create a false sense of hope, fear, anger, confusion, or generate ad revenue. The problem is, a lot of people tend to react from emotion and share the information without even taking a closer look or doing a little bit of research. Some of the most annoying clickbait has been circulating the internet for years, even decades, and this article is intended to end those misconceptions once and for all.

    1) “Wikileaks Just Released A Massive Dump Of Files!”

    No, they really didn’t.

Wikileaks did not “just” release a massive dump of files, so when you see a hyped up post on social media claiming “OMG! Wikileaks just released a massive data dump on Clintons and…..,” it’s untrue. The link people are sharing is Wikileaks main index file page to all links on their site, which has always been there, and there is a mountain of information to sift through.

For added confirmation, simply pull up the index file page archived from 2014 (ten years ago) and a character count, excluding spaces, will show 92,797 characters. In comparison, the current index page shows 93,252 characters. The difference? Over the course of ten years, 455 characters have been added, which wouldn’t account for more than a small handful of files added since 2014. Furthermore, all of their leaks show the release date on their site.

    2) “Deagel Is A Deep State Military Site Claiming The U.S. Population Will Be At 99 Million In 2025!”

    Totally false.

Deagel is not the same as Deagle, as in Edwin Deagle. The posts, articles, and videos that have been circulating for over a decade are drawing people’s focus to a man that has absolutely nothing to do with Deagel.com. Nor is the site run by deep state. A quick glance through the website itself is a good indicator of that.

Though it is currently set to private, a search through the archives shows that the website was registered on August 31, 2003 from an address in Spain by “Gas Deagel.”

The website posts updates on various military related projects and equipment with links to the source sites they found the info on. They also post a chart of each country’s population. At one time the site was posting projected populations into the future, such as their 2007 forecast about 2017, or their 2019 forecast about 2025. This is why the viral posts began in the first place, because the site suggested the U.S. population would drop significantly as the years ticked by, and even had 2025 at a population of 99 million.

They had a short disclaimer at the top of the page stating, “There are 179 countries listed with a forecast for 2025. Click on the icons to sort the list. This website is non-profit, built on spare time and we provide our information and services AS IS without further explanations and/or guarantees. We are not linked to any government. Take into account that the forecast is nothing more than a game of numbers whether flawed or correct based upon some speculative assumptions.” They also had a more lengthy disclaimer at the bottom in pink which comes with type errors and no affiliation to military. It’s a whole lot of nonsense, which is probably why they removed it from their site, not to mention the fact that they’ve been way off with their “forecasts.”

This site is nothing but an aggregator of military news from other sites, that published an absurd “population forecast” based on a whole lot of nothing. After reviewing this and digging into it, I came across James Corbett’s report on it and gave it a quick listen. He drew the same conclusions.

There are numerous articles, social media threads, videos, and even claims in books that have been telling folks for years that Edwin Deagle is behind this website, all because of the spelling of his name – which is incorrect from the domain name and registrar. There are no other data points linking him to this website.

    3) “China Is Buying Up All The Farmland In The U.S.!”

    That’s quite an exaggeration.

Though China has indeed purchased U.S. farmland, and even schemed with lawmakers to purchase acreage in Missouri (more on this below), Canada owns over 14 million acres, whereas China owns less than a half million acres of U.S. farmland.

There are 880 million acres of farmland in the U.S. Investment firms and individuals of Canada own more U.S. farmland than any other foreign country. In total, 43.4 million acres of U.S. forest and farmland, or 3.4% of ag land, is foreign owned as of Dec. 31, 2022.

Of the 43.4 million acres that are foreign owned, here are some of the top ones:

    Canada = 32%
    Netherlands = 12%
    Italy = 6%
    UK = 6%
    Germany = 5%
    China owns less than 1%

According to the USDA, Brazos Highland and Murphy Brown LLC, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, are the two biggest Chinese-owned companies that own land in the U.S. Brazos Highland accounts for 102,345 acres, and Smithfield owns 97,975 as of December, 2022.

The top five states with the biggest Chinese holdings are Texas, North Carolina, Missouri, Utah and Virginia.

For perspective, from 2021 to 2022, there was an increase in 2.58 million U.S. ag acres acquired by foreign countries. These charts provide a good visual for all U.S.-owned ag land as of 2021.

None of this dismisses concerns over Chinese-owned companies or citizens acquiring U.S. farmland. Quite the contrary. In fact, in a 2020 report by Corey Lynn, there is a section specifically on Smithfield Foods, the largest pork producer in the world. What’s most concerning is the fact that it was acquired by the Chinese company WH Group back in 2013, which included Premium Standard Farms in Princeton, Missouri, yet at that time Missouri law banned all foreign ownership of land. Curiously, just one week prior to this acquisition Missouri legislature amended the law to allow for 1% of Missouri farmland to be owned by foreign investors (roughly 289,000 acres), clearing the way for WH Group to acquire 40,000 acres. Before WH Group took on its new name, it was called CDH, founded by Wu Shangzhi, former senior investment officer at the World Bank Group’s IFC, and boy is it a twisted tale of connections that people must read. WH Group is also the majority shareholder in Henan Shuanghui Investment & Development Co. which is China’s top meat producer.

Hence, is this case, it would seem the food supply – specifically pork – may just be more of a concern than U.S. land holdings itself.

On another note, a lot of people believe Bill Gates owns more U.S. farmland than any other U.S. citizen, but his 260,000 acres of U.S. farmland doesn’t even put him close to the top 20. According to the Land Report’s top 100 U.S. landowners, Bill Gates falls in 42nd place, while Jeff Bezos sits in 25th place. This doesn’t negate the fact that no one is happy about Bill Gates owning so much farmland in the U.S. because he’s always up to something nefarious.

    4) “China Owns TikTok! We Need To Ban It Now!”

China does in fact own a stake in TikTok, but it’s American private equity and venture capital firms that hold the cards.

Catherine Austin Fitts explained in a Solari Report titled Netanyahus Mass Atrocity Machinery: What Will You Do?, as follows:

“The real stories of mass atrocity in Gaza keep sneaking out on TikTok. American private equity and venture capital firms, including KKR, own approximately 60% of ByteDance, the company that owns the TikTok app. The Congress—filled with legislators alleged to be dual-passport citizens—is now trying to make sure that the criminal syndicate can assert control over ByteDance, which will allow them to squeeze out the Chinese founders and investors by picking up their much smaller 20% equity position for cheap.

The criminal syndicates love to use the Chinese foreign bogeyman as a stalking horse. They love to use politicians to lower the price at which they can buy—and raise the price at which they can sell. Those capital gains fund political contributions and kickbacks.”

    5) “China Owns The U.S.! They Hold All Of Our Debt!”

Sure, China holds a lot of U.S. debt – $770.7 billion in Treasury holdings as of April 2024, but why doesn’t anyone ever mention the fact that Japan holds far more U.S. debt than China, to the tune of $1.15 trillion in Treasury securities? Or, why doesn’t anyone mention the fact that the United Kingdom is trailing just behind China at $710.2 billion? Luxembourg and Canada hold the 4th and 5th largest U.S. debt. Don’t people want all the facts, or do they just like to scream “China, China, China!”?

Who is actually the largest owner of U.S. debt? That would be the U.S. government. They hold Treasury securities in government accounts and pension funds.

As of June 28, 2024, the U.S. national debt was at $34.83 trillion. That is an increase of nearly $12 trillion since 2019, just before the Covid plandemic hit. In fact, between 2019 and 2020, it jumped $4.7 trillion.

But who’s counting? Certainly not the Pentagon who has failed six consecutive internal audits. Over $21 trillion has gone missing from U.S. federal accounts at HUD and the Department of Defense.

Be sure to read “Who Are THEY?” by Corey Lynn, to understand the depths and complexities of just how deep this corruption is and who is behind it all.

    6) “Tom Hanks, Bill Gates, And Hillary Clinton Were Executed!” (And if not, they must be in GITMO!) And, “JFK Jr. And Jeffrey Epstein Are Still Alive!”

This is an all time favorite clickbait because it’s just amazing how many people concur and share it with the world as though it is 100% fact, and will spend hours debating people on it. The information was assuredly passed through a high-up military insider that leaked it to a friend and they passed it on to another, and another, and another. It doesn’t matter if any of them are seen in person or on television because those would be immediately dismissed as either clones or deep fakes.

The reality is, a lot of people will believe what they want to believe if it induces a specific emotion they wish to feel, or if it gives them a sense of hope or “winning” as many like to put it. Yet, they have no solid proof and state it as fact. They expend time and energy on pondering it, fantasizing about it, debating people over it, and sharing it with others. What does this accomplish? What does it achieve? If they are in fact dead – has anything changed for the better because of those outcomes? No. So why the big debate and distraction?

The same goes for JFK Jr. and Jeffrey Epstein being alive. Despite all of the evidence pointing to their deaths, some people are adamant that they are alive, without a shred of proof. It’s one thing to discuss such things, it’s another to declare it as fact. Sure, there are plenty of bot farms that fuel these tales, but there are plenty of regular folks who have jumped on the bandwagon to give it more life – or death.

    Tips And Tactics

How do you want to spend your time? Do you want to feed the enemy instead of feeding your soul? Human beings have 24 hours a day, 8,760 hours a year to enjoy life, minus 2,920 hours required for sleep alone. According to a Datareportal Global Overview Report in January, worldwide internet users between the ages of 16 to 64 spend an average of nearly 7 hours a day online, across all devices. The U.S. is even worse, exceeding 7 hours per day. The report states that “Scientists have measured the amount of data that enter the brain and found that an average person living today processes as much as 74 GB in information a day (that is as much as watching 16 movies), through TV, computers, cell phones, tablets, billboards, and many other gadgets. Every year it is about 5% more than the previous year.”

In Corey Lynn’s 2021 report titled Covid-19 Pt. 5: Psychologists, Scientists and The CIA Tell Us Fear is The Real Killer, the report goes in depth on the following topics:

    • Capitalizing on Fear
    • Fear’s Effect on The Brain and Health
    • CIA Documents on Brainwashing and “Learned Helplessness”
    • Expert in Deception, Psychological Operations & National Security Speaks to Cadets at West Point

This is an incredibly important read to understand the psychological games, how the brain works, and more importantly – how brainwashing works. Once people have reached a point of exhaustion, which most have at this point, the mind becomes far more suggestive and it’s easy to fall into clickbait traps.

A few quotes from a CIA document covered in this report:

“When reduced to extreme dependency and confusion, the individual is ready to react favorably to any person or idea which promises to end his painfully confused state. At this point, the re-education begins.”

“The process of brainwashing is essentially one in which two paths are being followed. One is the demoralizing process, the result of which is to reduce the victim’s critical faculties to the point where he no longer discriminates clearly between true and false, logical and illogical. The other is the reorganizing process, in which he is required to construct his confessions, elaborate it, defend it, and believe it.”

“Communist control of the individual and the masses is little different from controls exercised by virtually all absolute forms of government, past and present.”

Here are two helpful articles Corey Lynn wrote to assist people with discerning truth from lies:

    • 10 Fake News Tactics

    • Confused? How to Compartmentalize Fact from Fiction and Plausibility

Corey’s Digs hosts an extensive list of resources for fact checking and deep research. There are well over 100 free resources to explore and get to the bottom of things.

Perhaps the best way to stay on top of things is to narrow time spent online, narrow the focus to the important things, and then narrow those things down by researching the facts before drawing conclusions based on emotional reactions. All industries are taking a hit or a twist from food supply to financial, technology, surveillance, housing, farming, and many others. Maybe selecting two or three of those that seem to have the most impact in one’s life, is a simpler approach to wading through the gigabytes of information one’s brain is downloading on a daily basis.

It’s a whole lot of nonsense, which is probably why they removed it from their site, not to mention the fact that they’ve been way off with their “forecasts.” This site is nothing but an aggregator of military news from other sites, that published an absurd “population forecast” based on a whole lot of nothing. 3) “China Is Buying Up All The Farmland In The U.S.!” That’s quite an exaggeration. 31, 2022. Of the 43.4 million acres that are foreign owned, here are some of the top ones: Canada = 32% Netherlands = 12% Italy = 6% UK = 6% Germany = 5% China owns less than 1% According to the USDA, Brazos Highland and Murphy Brown LLC, a subsidiary of Smithfield Foods, are the two biggest Chinese-owned companies that own land in the U.S. We Need To Ban It Now!” China does in fact own a stake in TikTok, but it’s American private equity and venture capital firms that hold the cards. Catherine Austin Fitts explained in a Solari Report titled Netanyahus Mass Atrocity Machinery: What Will You Do?, as follows: “The real stories of mass atrocity in Gaza keep sneaking out on TikTok. Those capital gains fund political contributions and kickbacks.” 5) “China Owns The U.S.! They Hold All Of Our Debt!” Sure, China holds a lot of U.S. debt – $770.7 billion in Treasury holdings as of April 2024, but why doesn’t anyone ever mention the fact that Japan holds far more U.S. debt than China, to the tune of $1.15 trillion in Treasury securities? And Jeffrey Epstein Are Still Alive!” This is an all time favorite clickbait because it’s just amazing how many people concur and share it with the world as though it is 100% fact, and will spend hours debating people on it. Tips And Tactics How do you want to spend your time? Every year it is about 5% more than the previous year.” In Corey Lynn’s 2021 report titled Covid-19 Pt. 5: Psychologists, Scientists and The CIA Tell Us Fear is The Real Killer, the report goes in depth on the following topics: • Capitalizing on Fear • Fear’s Effect on The Brain and Health • CIA Documents on Brainwashing and “Learned Helplessness” • Expert in Deception, Psychological Operations & National Security Speaks to Cadets at West Point This is an incredibly important read to understand the psychological games, how the brain works, and more importantly – how brainwashing works. Once people have reached a point of exhaustion, which most have at this point, the mind becomes far more suggestive and it’s easy to fall into clickbait traps. A few quotes from a CIA document covered in this report: “When reduced to extreme dependency and confusion, the individual is ready to react favorably to any person or idea which promises to end his painfully confused state. At this point, the re-education begins.” “The process of brainwashing is essentially one in which two paths are being followed. One is the demoralizing process, the result of which is to reduce the victim’s critical faculties to the point where he no longer discriminates clearly between true and false, logical and illogical. The other is the reorganizing process, in which he is required to construct his confessions, elaborate it, defend it, and believe it.” “Communist control of the individual and the masses is little different from controls exercised by virtually all absolute forms of government, past and present.” Here are two helpful articles Corey Lynn wrote to assist people with discerning truth from lies: • 10 Fake News Tactics • Confused? How to Compartmentalize Fact from Fiction and Plausibility Corey’s Digs hosts an extensive list of resources for fact checking and deep research. • Time to Take Your (Bitter) Medicine
Why real medicine must always be bitter, and the bitterest pill of all.

    Dr. Syed Haider

Here's why all real medicine is bitter medicine. And the bitterest pill we have to swallow is that the entire edifice of modern medicine is built on an impossible fantasy.

To set the stage: illness means you're off the narrow path of health, which like all virtues is poised between opposing extremes. Health requires a balance between toxins and nutrients, activity and rest, consumption and fasting, light and dark.

The only reason you've strayed one way or the other off the path of health is because of your desires. The desire to do more and rest less, eat more and fast less, taste more sweet and less bitter, stay up late with the lights on longer than nature intended and spend less time in the necessary dark.

Even if you do know the way and try to stick to it, without a knowledgeable and impartial guide to help you are constantly being driven off course by yourself reasoning why it really would be better to shift just a tad this way instead of that.

Then, any number of slight misdirections in various parameters will compound over time to become significant departures, and after months or years people suddenly wake up to find themselves far off course, unable to any longer avoid realizing they aren't truly healthy anymore.

So, true medicine will always taste bitter to the one who is sick, because medicine can only work by bringing them back into balance and it's their very self that is out of balance. And the self tends to love nothing more than itself, regardless of whether it's healthy or not. The desires that brought you off balance to where you are, are the same ones that have to be opposed to bring you back to where you should be.

You can push a person back into balance in many ways. Mentally, emotionally, physically. With mantras, and meditations, and exercises, and herbs. Some ways are more subtle than others, but they all intertwine. Pushing in one spot will apply pressure on all the rest. Deep, subtle and delicate energies are difficult to maneuver without great skill, but the superficial physical level is easy and forgiving.

That's because the human being has layers, like gears. On the outside you can turn a wheel, and a level lower it will turn many smaller ones, and those will turn even more and even smaller ones still, all the way down to the microscopic level and beyond, wheels turning ever finer and ever more wheels.

What kinds of molecular machine can be found in human cells? - Quora
In computer engineering it takes skill that is humanly unattainable to work exclusively at the level of machine language, moving ones and zeros around in the deepest guts of a computer (let alone at the level of electrons zipping around in silicon), which is why even the best software engineers almost exclusively interface with higher-level languages, and the majority of users with even simpler graphical user interfaces.

Organization of Computer Systems: ISA, Machine Language, Number Systems
Of the most fundamental failings of modern medicine is to go microscopic, into the realm of irreducible complexity which, news flash, no one fully understands. We have not even fully mapped all of human biochemistry - all the chemical interactions happening within our own cells, let alone within every cell of our microbiome, which includes thousands of distinct species and makes up more cells than our own and works synergistically with them. We certainly haven't broadly taken into account photobiology and bioenergetics. What else are we entirely missing that we don't even know to consider?

We know we can't fully predict what will happen when we introduce new chemicals into our bodies. The problem is worse than dealing with machine language in a computer, because at least there we fully understand it and can map it all out, it's just too vast and intricate to hold it all in our heads and manipulate it. With the body, mind, emotions, bioenergetics, microbiome and more we can only effectively and safely interface at a higher level, using a more easily understood software language encoded for us by nature itself, so using natural means and messages, applying broad principles to create recipes that gently nudge every level from the macroscopic to the submicroscopic back into balance.

Thank you for reading Dr. Syed Haider. This post is public so feel free to share it.

Working at microscopic and submicroscopic levels will always and forever be unattainable because they will never be fully understood. Without complete understanding it is only possible to destroy something when you interfere with it. It is impossible to fix it. It would be like asking a precocious 5 year old who wants to grow up to be an engineer to troubleshoot your spaceship just before taking off for the moon. Only someone utterly insane would allow that. Yet almost everyone nowadays allows blindfolded and intellectually out-of-their-depth "engineers" going by the name of doctors to tinker around within the most complex vehicle in the universe, comprising their own body, heart and mind.

It's well past time we all woke up from the toxic anesthetic of modernism that has put us into this dangerously confused fugue state, allowing in some cases very difficult to reverse damage to accrue by the misguided acts of fools masquerading as experts.

We must begin with a healthy and profound respect for Nature, ourselves and our forebears. Only then we can get back to first principles and rebuild the real medicine left in disarray and ruin by the ancients.

How To Pray Terawih - Step-by-Step Guide

How to Pray Taraweeh step by step for Muslim

    Praise be to Allah.

One of the acts of worship that we all look forward to during Ramadan is the terawih prayer. The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. said:

“Whoever stands (in worship) in Ramadan out of faith and hope for the rewards (from Allah), his past sins will be forgiven.”

    (Sahih Al-Bukhฤrฤซ & Muslim)

The terawih prayer will begin right after the congregational Isyak prayer. Dedicated spaces for Muslimah will also be made available at most mosques.

    Amiin

Upon completing the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, you may read any memorised surah of your preference. For the second raka’at, it is encouraged to choose a verse that does not precede the first in the order of the Quran.

For example, you can read Surah Al-’Asr in the first raka’at and read Surah Al-Ikhlas in the second.

Here is a list of recommended surahs from page 34 of Contemporary Irsyad Series - Ramadan edition (English) by Office of the Mufti:

    Recommended surah in terawih prayer

While there is no harm in reading the same surah again for the next raka’at, this Ramadan could be an opportunity to learn other beautiful surah and further increase our appreciation of the Quran, especially since there are so many benefits of reciting the Quran.

You may also opt to read from the Mushaf (physical copy of Quran), maybe a pocket Quran or Quran app.

    5. Bend forward for Ruku’

Recite the Takbiratul Intiqal (Allahu Akbar) during the transition from standing to bending for Ruku’, while raising your hands just as previously explained in Takbiratul Ihram. Lower your hands gently to your knees as you move towards the Ruku’ position.

    Say three times,

    ุณูุจุญูŽุงู†ูŽ ุฑูŽุจูู‘ูŠูŽ ุงู„ุนูŽุธููŠู…ู ูˆูŽุจูุญูŽู…ู’ุฏูู‡ู

    13. Do the witr prayer

    how to taraweeh at home

After completing the terawih prayer, it is encouraged to end the night with the witr prayer. Witr can also be performed after completing Qiyam al-Layl which refers to other supererogatory (sunnah) prayers that are done towards the end of the night or after waking up from sleep. This was mentioned by the Prophet s.a.w.:

“Make the last of your prayers at night the witr prayer."

    (Sahih Bukhari)

Witr prayer should be performed in an odd number of raka'at and is usually done in 3 raka'at. This is done by performing two raka’at of the same steps mentioned with the salam, and then followed by one raka’at with the salam to complete the three raka’at of the Witr prayer. The maximum number of raka’at for the sunnah witr prayer is 11 raka’at.

  • 12 Israeli sensor technologies that will rock your world
No more canaries in mines: Today’s sensors provide key information on everything from digital health to airport safety.

Sensors are the hidden brain in everything from precision agriculture to connected cars, home appliances to security systems, smart cities to digital health.

“A sensor is anything that translates a physical phenomenon to a measurable signal or other information. For example, in the past they used canaries as sensors for poisonous gas in mines,” explains Amichai Yifrach, an Israeli expert in military and civilian sensor development and currently the CTO of ag-tech startup Flux.

“Using that definition, Israel is on the cutting edge of technology in all aspects of sensors,” he tells ISRAEL21c. “A lot of it is related to our capabilities in sensing things that others cannot, especially in relation to border security and airport control.”

Historically, Israel’s edge in sensor technology comes from defense needs and much of the sector is still focused on military applications, with companies such as Elbit Systems, Rafael Advanced Defense Systems and Seraphim Optronics in the lead.

But as in many other fields, knowhow from the military gave a huge boost to Israel’s civilian sensor industry. “On the consumer side, we’re strong in image processing and algorithms. We have very good chemists, too,” says Yifrach.

“Sensors will be more and more important in water quality, air quality and even food quality, like for makers of wine, beer or balsamic vinegar,” Yifrach predicts. “Processes that follow chemical or physical properties need sensing to deduct valuable information for future quality or efficiency of the process. It all comes down to monitoring and controlling processes for quality.”

ISRAEL21c chose a dozen Israeli sensor pioneers to illustrate the country’s strength in this powerful sector.

    Sensifree
Sensifree specializes in low-power, contact-free, electromagnetic sensors that accurately collect a range of continuous biometric data without the need to touch the human body. • Professor of African history calls for an inquiry into African governments’ responses to covid
    Rhoda WilsonFebruary 1, 2024
The assumption that covid would be an equal threat in Africa as it may have been elsewhere was wrong.

An accounting must be made of the mistakes so that such an inept response driven by wealthy nations and foisted onto Africa never takes place again.

The first mistake was lockdowns, writes Toby Green, a British professor of West African history and global inequality. Lockdowns had already been trialled in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and Monrovia, Liberia, during the Ebola epidemic. Esteemed groups such as Doctors Without Borders had counselled against lockdowns and subsequent academic research deemed them to have been ineffective.

(Related: Covid Lockdowns Caused Chronic Poverty and Starvation in Zimbabwe and South Africa)

Although the following article refers to covid “mistakes” we know that mistakes were not made. The Great Democide of 2020 was not a mistake.

Africa Needs an Inquiry into Covid-19 Mistakes

The following was authored by Professor Toby Green and was published by TRT Afrika on 29 January 2024.

It has been four years since the WHO declared covid-19 as an epidemic outbreak of international concern.

The end of January also marks four years since the African continent first began taking measures against the novel coronavirus: Rwanda closed its borders to flights from China on 31 January 2020.

In the initial panic over the new virus, many commentators pointed to the experience of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone with Ebola in 2014-15 as a good indicator of how to manage a serious epidemic outbreak.

However, as time has gone on, it has become all too clear that the international global health industry drew the wrong lessons from that experience. In fact, the covid-19 pandemic response was a disaster in Africa.

As a covid inquiry gathers pace in the UK, something like this is urgent in Africa. An accounting must be made of the mistakes so that such an inept response driven by wealthy nations and foisted onto Africa never takes place again.

Some commentators point to the extremely low death rates of covid-19 in Africa as an indication of Africa’s success in handling the pandemic. However, this is to look at things the wrong way around.

    Ebola Lessons

With a median age of lower than 20, Africa was always likely to have a low death rate from covid. This is not an indication of success, but instead of the catastrophe that took place when assuming that covid-19 would be an equal threat in Africa as it may have been elsewhere.

The first mistake came with lockdowns. These were pushed by the WHO, who in their report on their fact-finding mission to Wuhan on 25 February 2020 recommended that all countries with cases of covid-19 follow the Chinese model of lockdowns.

However, lockdowns had been trialled in Freetown and Monrovia during the Ebola epidemic.

Esteemed groups such as Doctors Without Borders had counselled against this move then, and subsequent academic research deemed that they had been ineffective – as impossible to maintain in environments where the informal economy is so important.

Such research must surely have been known to WHO, who nevertheless advised these measures in all cases, regardless of socioeconomic infrastructure.

A second grave mistake was in ignoring basic demographics. By the end of March, commentators were noting that Africa’s low median age meant covid might well not be too serious there.

    Cramped Spaces

This research was ignored, in favour of an eradication strategy that could never have succeeded in countries where informal settlements mean disease spread of a respiratory virus is impossible to eradicate.

Thus, the third mistake came with curfews. Confining people at certain times of day in the cramped accommodation of informal settlements – in Nairobi, Lagos and Kinshasa – had no discernible epidemiological rationale.

This was a disease which spread more indoors, and by forcing people to share cramped spaces the outcome was certain to be increased virus spread. These can all be deemed scientific errors.

They stemmed from the fact that scientists with decision-making influence at WHO and other supranational organisations all lived in “wealthy nations.” Apparently, they did not understand the demographic characteristics of social life in urban settings on the African continent.

This was, in effect, a colonial policy, shaped by the financial dependence of African institutions on so-called foreign donors both in the West and in China. A full covid inquiry in Africa must however not be limited to scientific matters.

A fourth mistake came in ignoring the social determinants of public health – the social context in which science and medicine takes place.

    Devastated Health Systems

Social scientists have long known that wealth and health are closely connected. In poorer countries, the relationship between GDP and life expectancy has been clear for decades, elucidated in the “Prescott curve”.

Effectively, just as increases in GDP raise life expectancy, so reductions lower it. In Africa, the closure of informal markets, transport shutdowns, and curfews, were all policies ensuring increases in poverty. They were policies which could only reduce wealth, health and life expectancy.

With the World Food Programme now saying that more than half of those experiencing acute hunger entered this condition since 2020, and the United Nations Development Programme (“UNDP”) that 50 million Africans entered extreme poverty during covid, it’s clear that the policies driven by the WHO and powerful supranational organisations in the global health industry devastated public health in Africa.

Beyond this, there are many themes that must be considered. First, there is the closure of schools and the impact on and child labour. Second, there are the impacts of movement restrictions on harvests and crop-growing cycles.

Third, there is the “shadow pandemic” of gender-based violence prompted by the measures. Fourth, there is the impact of global transport shutdowns and reorientations of priorities on supply chains of vital medicines including malaria rapid tests, which are still in short supply.

No doubt that an African covid inquiry will have its work cut out. One thing alone is clear: whoever runs it, it cannot be the WHO or any other supranational institution which cheerleads the imposition of such ruinous policies on the continent.

  • Wi-Fi, short for Wireless Fidelity, is a technology that allows devices to connect to the internet and communicate with each other wirelessly. It relies on radio frequency signals to transmit data between devices such as computers, smartphones, tablets, and other network-enabled devices.

Wi-Fi operates using the IEEE 802.11 family of standards, which define the specifications for implementing wireless local area networking (WLAN) communication. These standards specify the protocols for data transmission, encryption, and security.

Typically, a Wi-Fi network involves a router or access point that acts as a central hub. This device connects to the internet through a wired connection and broadcasts a wireless signal that devices within its range can connect to. The devices, in turn, have Wi-Fi adapters that enable them to connect to the network and access the internet or communicate with other devices on the same network.

Wi-Fi is widely used in homes, businesses, public spaces, and various other environments to provide convenient and flexible wireless connectivity. It has become an integral part of our daily lives, enabling seamless internet access and communication without the need for physical cables.

  • The Year that Expertise Collapsed
    Jeffrey A. Tucker
Getting sick and getting well is part of the human experience at all times in all places. As with other phenomena of human existence, that suggests there is a great deal of embedded knowledge on the topic woven into the fabric of our lives. We aren’t born knowing but we come to know: from our moms and dads, experience of siblings and others, from our own experience, and from medical professionals who deal with the problem daily.

In a healthy and functioning society, the path toward maintaining personal and public health becomes embedded in the cultural firmament, just like manners, belief systems, and value preferences. It’s not necessary that we think about it constantly; instead it becomes a habit, with much of the knowledge tacit; that is, deployed daily but rarely with full cognizance.

We could know for certain that there had been a change in the matrix in March 2020 because, seemingly out of nowhere, all of this knowledge was deemed wrong. A new gaggle of experts was in charge, one day to the next. Suddenly, they were everywhere. They were on TV, quoted by all the newspapers, amplified on social media, and on the phone constantly with local officials instructing them on how they must shut down the schools, businesses, playgrounds, churches, and civic gatherings.

The message was always the same. This time is completely different from anything in our experience or in any previous experience. This time we must adopt a totally new and completely untested paradigm. It comes from models that high-level scientists have deemed correct. It comes from labs. It comes from “germ games” of which none of us are part. If we dare to reject the new teachings for the old, we are doing it wrong. We are the malicious ones. We deserve ridicule, cancellation, silencing, exclusion, and worse.

It felt like a coup d’etat of sorts. It certainly was an intellectual coup. All wisdom of the past, even that known by public health only months earlier, was deleted from public spaces. Dissent was silenced. Corporate media was absolutely united in celebrating the greatness of people like Fauci, who spoke in strangely circuitous ways that contradicted everything we thought we knew.

It was exceedingly strange because the people we thought might have stood up to the flash imposition of tyranny somehow vanished. We could hardly meet with others at all, if only to share intuitions that something was wrong. “Social distancing” was more than a method to “slow the spread;” it amounted to comprehensive control of the public mind too.

The experts instructing us spoke with astonishing certainty about precisely how society should be managed in a pandemic. There were scientific papers, tens of thousands of them, and the storm of credentials was everywhere and out of control. Unless you had a university or lab affiliation and unless you had multiple high-level degrees attached to your name, you could not get a hearing. Folk wisdom was out of the question, even basic things like “sun and outdoors are good for respiratory infections.” Even popular understanding of natural immunity came in for hard ridicule.

Later it turned out that even top credentialed experts would not be taken seriously if they had the wrong views. This is when the racket became incredibly obvious. It was never really about genuine knowledge. It was about compliance and echoing the approved line. It’s astonishing how many people went along, even with the stupidest of the mandates, such as the distancing stickers everywhere, the ubiquity of Plexiglas, and the dirty masks on every face which were somehow believed to keep people healthy.

Once the contrary studies started coming out, we would share them and get shouted down. The comment sections of the studies started to be raided by partisan experts who would hone in on small issues and problems and demand and obtain takedowns. Then the contrarian expert would get doxxed, his dean notified, and the faculty turned against the person, lest the department risk funding from Big Pharma or Fauci in the future.

All the while, we kept thinking that there must be some rationale behind all this madness. It never emerged. It was all intimidation and belligerence and nothing more – arbitrary diktat by big shots who were pretending the entire time.

The lockdowners and shot mandators were never intellectually serious people. They never much thought about the implications or ramifications of what they were doing. They were just wrecking things mostly for pecuniary gain, job protection, and career advancement, plus it was fun to be in charge. It’s not much more complicated than that.

In other words, we’ve gradually come to realize that our worst fears were true. All these experts were and are fakes. There have been some hints along the way, such as when North Carolina Health Director Mandy Cohen (now head of the CDC) reported that she and her colleagues were burning up the phone lines to decide whether people should be allowed to participate in sports.

“She was like, are you gonna let them have professional football?” she said. “And I was like, no. And she’s like, OK neither are we.”

Another candid moment came five months ago, only recently unearthed by X, when NIH head Francis Collins admitted that he and his colleagues attached “zero value” to whether and to what extent they were disrupting lives, wrecking the economy, and destroying education for kids. He actually said this.

As it turns out, these experts who ruled our lives, and still do to a great extent, were never what they claimed to be, and never actually possessed knowledge that was superior to what existed within the cultural firmament of society. Instead, all they really had was power and a grand opportunity to play dictator.

It’s astonishing, truly, and worthy of deep study, when you consider the extent to which and for how long this class of people were able to maintain the illusion of consensus within their ranks. They bamboozled the media all over the world. They tricked vast swaths of the population. They bent all social media algorithms to reflect their views and priorities.

One explanation comes down to the money trail. That’s a powerful explanation. But it is not the whole of it. Behind the illusion was a terrifying intellectual isolation in which all these people found themselves. They never really encountered people who disagreed. Indeed, part of the way these people had come to conceive of their jobs was to master the art of knowing what to think and when and how. It’s part of the job training to enter the class of experts: mastering the skill of echoing the opinions of others.

Discovering this to be true is alarming for anyone who holds to older ideals of how intellectual society should conduct itself. We like to imagine that there is a constant clash of ideas, a burning desire to get to the truth, a love of knowledge and data, a passion for gaining a better understanding. That requires, above all else, an openness of mind and a willingness to listen. All of this was overtly and explicitly shut down in March 2020 but it was made easier because all the mechanisms were already in place.

One of the best books of our time is Tom Harrington’s The Treason of the Experts, published by Brownstone. There is simply not in the present era a more insightful investigation and deconstruction of the sociological sickness of the expert class. Every page is on fire with insight and observation about the intellectual juntas that attempt to rule the public mind in today’s world. It’s a terrifying look at how wildly wrong everything has gone in the world of ideas. A great followup volume is Ramesh Thakur’s Our Enemy, the Government, which reveals all the ways in which the new scientists who were ruling the world weren’t scientific at all.

Brownstone was born in the midst of the worst of this world. We set out to create something different, not a bubble of ideological/partisan attachment or an enforcement organ of the proper way to think about all issues. Instead, we sought to become a genuine society of thinkers united in a principled attachment to freedom but hugely diverse in specialization and philosophical outlook. It’s one of the few centers where there is genuine interdisciplinary engagement and openness to new perspectives and outlook. All of this is essential to the life of the mind and yet nearly absent in academia, media, and government today.

We’ve put together a fascinating model for retreats. We choose a comfortable venue where the food and drink are provided and the living quarters are excellent, and bring together 40 or so top experts to present a set of ideas to the whole group. Each speaker gets 15 minutes and that is followed by 15 minutes of engagement from everyone present. Then we go to the next speaker. This goes on all day and the evenings are spent in casual conversation. As the organizer, Brownstone does not pick topics or speakers but rather allows the flow of ideas to emerge organically. This goes on for two and a half days. There is no set agenda, no mandated takeaways, no required action items. There is only unconstrained idea generation and sharing.

There is a reason why there is such a clamor to attend. It’s the creation of something that all these wonderful people – each person a dissident in his own field – had hoped to encounter in professional life but the reality was always elusive. It’s only three days so hardly Ancient Greece or Vienna in the interwar years but it is an excellent start, and hugely productive and uplifting. It’s amazing what can happen when you combine intelligence, erudition, open minds, and sincere sharing of ideas. From the point of view of government, huge corporations, academia, and all the architects of today’s world of ideas, this is precisely what they do not want.

The difference between 2023 and, say, five years ago, is that the expertise racket is now out in the open. Vast swaths of society decided to trust the experts for a time. They deployed every power of the state, along with all affiliated institutions in the pseudo-private sector, to browbeat and manipulate the people into panicked compliance with preposterous antics that never had any hope of mitigating disease.

Look where that got us. The experts have been fully discredited. Is it any wonder that ever more people are skeptical of the same gang’s claims about climate change, diversity, immigration, inflation, education, gender transitions, or anything else pushed today by elite minds? Mass compliance has been replaced by mass incredulity. Trust will not likely return in our lifetimes.

There is, further, a reason why hardly anyone is surprised that the president of Harvard stands accused of rampant plagiarism or that election officials are deploying sneaky forms of lawfare to keep political renegades off the ballot or that money launderers for the administrative state are getting away with rampant fraud. Graft, kickbacks, bribery, misappropriation, nepotism, favoritism, and outright corruption rule the day in all elite circles.

In a few weeks, we are going to hear from Anthony Fauci, who will be grilled by a House of Representatives committee on exactly how he claimed to be so sure that there was no lab leak stemming from gain-of-function research being done at a US-baked lab in Wuhan. We’ll see how much attention this testimony gets but, truly, does anyone really believe that he is going to be honest and forthcoming? It is pretty much a consensus these days that he has been up to no good. If he is “the science,” science itself is in grave trouble.

What a contrast to just a few years ago when Fauci-themed shirts and coffee mugs were big-selling items. He claimed to be the science, and science did rally behind him as if he had all the answers, even though what he advocated contradicted every bit of common wisdom that has always been practiced in every civilized society.

Three years ago, the expert class went out on the farthest limb one can imagine, daring to replace all social knowledge and embedded cultural experience with their off-the-cuff rationalism and scientistic razzmatazz that ended up serving the industrial interests of large-scale exploiters in tech, media, and pharma. We live in the midst of the rubble they created. It’s no wonder they have been completely discredited.

To replace them – and this is a long-term strategy and one that unfolds gradually with bold efforts such as that undertaken by Brownstone Institute – we need a new and serious effort to rebuild serious thought based on honesty, sincere engagement across ideological lines, and a genuine commitment to truth and freedom. We have that opportunity right now, and we dare not decline to take up the task with every sense of urgency and passion. As always, your support of our work is greatly appreciated.

  • What is wifi

Wi-Fi, short for Wireless Fidelity, is a technology that allows electronic devices to exchange data wirelessly using radio waves. It enables devices such as computers, smartphones, tablets, and other gadgets to connect to the internet and local area networks without the need for physical cables.

Wi-Fi operates on the IEEE 802.11 family of standards, which define the specifications for implementing wireless local area networking (WLAN) communication. These standards specify the frequency bands, data rates, and protocols that devices must follow to communicate over Wi-Fi.

Commonly, Wi-Fi networks are set up using a wireless router, which acts as a central hub for connecting devices within a specific range. Devices equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities can then connect to the router to access the internet or communicate with each other. Wi-Fi is widely used in homes, offices, public spaces, and various other environments to provide convenient and flexible wireless connectivity.
