    BREEDING UNBELIEF IN OUR SYSTEM!

Today, I brought out this *self-destructive issue*,as a sharp rebuke to myself,a warning to myself, from God's Word, and it's left to me if I will heed it. I also pray that someone out there will be helped and encouraged by it.

It's said that tough times NEVER last ,but tough people do. Well,if it was true before now,it certainly isn't today, because, tough or hard times now oftentimes, outlast the the tough people. This is a personal opinion yet,and I stand to be corrected.

I began with the parody above, because it's the secular motivational version of our Christian Faith. All earth dwellers in one way or the other live by faith,(though they won't call it that).

Faith is a reoccurring theme throughout the Bible, and a whole chapter was dedicated to it(Heb.11)! We can't serve God without the Faith, that God is more than able to do or execute every bit of His Word. For the believer, FAITH is our OXYGEN!

However, some difficulties pop-up in life, that regularly question and threaten our Faith, oftentimes leading to helplessness, which in turn create room for backsliding...no longer believing that God is able to perform His Word. And of course, it's no longer news that the *curator*of these seemingly impossible challenges is the devil.

    THE BIRTHING OF UNBELIEF!

We begin the breeding of unbelief in our lives, when we feel stranded between God's promises and their fulfillment, stuck between the prayer we pray and the answer. When we allow our gaze to be fixed on the problem rather than the solution, when we begin to see only impossibilities that we NEVER cared to see before...that we NEVER paid attention to,even though they were there.
Periods like this,is when the devil sets in our hearts a lot more of questions than answers,as regards God and His Word.

I am far deep in that point now, which is why I said this message was and is a rebuke to me. Perhaps,if there's a tiny difference for me, it's in the premise that, mine isn't really unbelief perse, but DESPAIR,BORNE OUT OF ELONGATED YEARS OF AFFLICTIONS. But WHY it's an UNFORGIVABLE FAILURE for ME is that,I EQUALLY have SEEN far MORE THAN I DESERVED of God's Hand of provision and protection, in these flaunted YEARS of SELF TAGGED AFFLICTIONS.

If it wasn't so,I wouldn't be here writing this. The truth is,man by nature hates discomfort, pains, hurts and suffering generally...why... because God NEVER created us to suffer, but our inherited sin nature brought it upon us.

But I tell us this morning,by His grace and mercy, that regardless of the moment you are living, hold on to HIS promises, to the TRUTH of GOD! He NEVER fails...we are the ones failing HIM
    The truth modifies reality!
You were designed by God to fulfill an eternal purpose!
And the onus is upon us,by faith in God,to deny devil the pleasure of ruining that purpose .

What you see today in the mirror is not what you will see in the future, because God will take you from power to power! To great things! To great heights we can never imagine!

We're going to learn a few things from the scripture below, to better understand the term *UNBELIEF*
Allow me put to put it this way... UNBELIEF FOR THE CHRISTIAN,IS THE INABILITY TO SEE WHAT GOD SEES IN US FOR OUR LIVES...and nothing can be more tragically sad for us as believers.

Mark 9:23-24 “Jesus said to him, If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes. And immediately the boy's father cried out and said: I believe; help my unbelief.”

This narrative took place just after the Transfiguration of Christ Jesus.

Christ Jesus comes down from the mountain, transfigured, and meets the unbelieving disciples who cannot do what He has said they are going to do.

    (1)The man cried*help my unbelief*
The man's unbelief started from the disappointing disciples...if he didn't believe in the first place, it's probable,he won't spend resources to get his boy to Christ Jesus. But, unfortunately Christ's ambassadors (you and me),failed in our duties...we couldn't execute what we were mandated to do... because deep down somewhere in our hearts, seeds of doubt are still sprouting.
And when we failed, the man lost faith in God's ability to settle his issues.

To how many people does our lives, instead of producing faith, produce disbelief? How many people know that we visit our church and when we leave, we talk like the old creature?

And there is a contradiction between where we come from and how we live; between the God we serve and the God we represent. AS CHRISTIANS WE CANNOT PREACH A GOSPEL THAT HEALS WITH A MOUTH THAT HARMS.

Do we believe in the promises that God gave us? In all? Do we act according to what God told us?

What a sad disappointment it was for the man to see that the disciples could not free his son from that spirit, a situation that produced an argument between them!

Since the disciples couldn't, so he goes to Christ Jesus directly. For this man, the fact that someone couldn't take away his faith ,that something could change, drove any unbelief to the pit of hell.

We must say *I was not born to live this way, and if the last thing I do is die looking for the answer I need, I will do it because it shows my faith that God created me for something greater, and that there has to be a solution for this*

We cannot deny that all attempts create doubt; that all past failures lower expectations. But that is no excuse to stop believing in the Lord.
My personal rebuke continues...this is what I know and yet refused,or perhaps it's better to say, unable to practise. *SO, WOULD DAD BE UNFAIR TO BE WROTH WITH ME? An emphatic no! When diplomats and ambassadors fail their home government, they're recalled home and sanctioned... oftentimes fired.

To be continued...stay with us...GOD BLESS YOU AND STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH,AMEN!

He NEVER fails...we are the ones failing HIM The truth modifies reality! You were designed by God to fulfill an eternal purpose! And the onus is upon us,by faith in God,to deny devil the pleasure of ruining that purpose . What you see today in the mirror is not what you will see in the future, because God will take you from power to power! To great things! To great heights we can never imagine! We're going to learn a few things from the scripture below, to better understand the term *UNBELIEF* Allow me put to put it this way... And immediately the boy's father cried out and said: I believe; help my unbelief.” This narrative took place just after the Transfiguration of Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus comes down from the mountain, transfigured, and meets the unbelieving disciples who cannot do what He has said they are going to do. (1)The man cried*help my unbelief* The man's unbelief started from the disappointing disciples...if he didn't believe in the first place, it's probable,he won't spend resources to get his boy to Christ Jesus. We must say *I was not born to live this way, and if the last thing I do is die looking for the answer I need, I will do it because it shows my faith that God created me for something greater, and that there has to be a solution for this* We cannot deny that all attempts create doubt; that all past failures lower expectations. To be continued...stay with us...GOD BLESS YOU AND STRENGTHEN YOUR FAITH,AMEN🙇🙏!

  • Born in the heat of war, dead from the cold: Gaza’s children are freezing to death
Alison Weir December 31, 2024 child starvation, Gaza, war on children
    Gaza City, Nov 10, 2024

Left without power or shelter, Palestinians are struggling to keep their children warm – at least five have frozen to death in the last two weeks

By Maha Hussaini in Gaza, occupied Palestine and Mohammed al-Hajjar, reposted from Middle East Eye, Dec. 30, 2024

A dewdrop fell from the roof of a tent on to Yahya Muhammed al-Batran’s nose, waking him to the news that his newborn son, one half of a pair of twin brothers, had frozen to death overnight on Sunday.

Originally from Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, Batran’s wife had given birth a month earlier. The children’s first home was a makeshift tent for the displaced, patched over with blankets, in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.

The rudimentary protection from the winter cold and the lack of appropriate clothing meant the boys were at risk from the outset.

Recalling the discovery that his child had died, Batran said: “My wife was awake. I asked her what was wrong, and she pointed to Jumaa and shook her head.

“She said: ‘Ali seems half alive. But Jumaa, I’ve been trying to wake him for a while, and he won’t wake up.’

“She said that his head felt like ice. He was pale and completely lifeless.”

Batran wrapped his son in a blanket and rushed him to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah.

“When I got there, the doctor said: ‘May God grant you patience; he’s dead.”

Batran’s remaining twin son remains in critical condition, as he also suffers from the effects of hyperthermia.

Israel has destroyed a vast majority of buildings in Gaza and has cut off fuel and electricity supplies to its residents.

More than 2.3 million Palestinians are huddled together in an increasingly small territory as Israel ethnically cleanses the northern half of the strip.

The Batran family’s experience reflects that of hundreds of thousands of others, forced from temporary home to temporary home as Israel carries out its campaign of killing and destruction.

In their case, there has been no respite from death.

“We came to central Gaza to protect ourselves and our children from the death we saw back in northern Gaza,” Batran told Middle East Eye.

“We were staying at a school in al-Maghazi, but after it was bombed, we fled to Deir al-Balah and stayed in a tent,” he added.

“Two of my nephews and three of my in-laws were martyred a few weeks ago. A week after my brothers’ sons were killed, God blessed me with twin boys.

“I named one after his uncle who was previously martyred, Jumaa, and the other after my nephew who was martyred recently, Ali.”

Jumaa and Ali were born prematurely at eight months but were in stable condition at the time.

Jumaa’s death takes the total number of children who have frozen to death in Gaza in the last fortnight to at least five.

They include Aisha al-Qassas, who was 21 days old; Ali Essam Saqr, who was 23 days old; Ali Hussam Azzam, who was four days old; Sila Mahmoud al-Fassih, who was 14 days old; and Jumaa al-Batran, who was one month old.

A sixth adult victim, a nurse named Ahmed al-Zaharna, was also found dead in his tent in Mawasi, Khan Younis, due to hypothermia.

    Lack of postnatal care

As of September, more than 525,000 Palestinian women in Gaza have lost access to critical services, including prenatal and postnatal care, family planning and infection treatment, according to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

Of these, over 17,000 pregnant women are facing starvation, with almost 11,000 already suffering from severe food shortages as man-made famine threatens the most vulnerable.

“This lack of proper nutrition – combined with the immense stress of their situation – is leading to a rise in preterm births, low-birth-weight babies, and increased risks of stillbirths and developmental delays,” the UNFPA stated on its website.

Due to the limited capacity of hospitals and the overwhelming number of cases, the Batran twins were discharged from their incubator early, and their family was forced to take them back to their makeshift tent.

“I had no money to buy them clothes or blankets. Some neighbours donated a few clothes, but the twins needed something like a hospital incubator with nylon [for insulation] to keep them warm,” their father said.

“I couldn’t even afford to buy 4m of nylon. I swear to God, I would cover them with my only blanket and spend the entire night freezing,” he added.

“I went to Unrwa [the UN agency for Palestinian refugees], and they gave me a device that could be charged to keep the babies warm. But it could only work for three hours before needing to be recharged. I would use it for an hour and a half for each infant.”

To recharge the device, Batran would go to the hospital twice a day and use the electricity provided by its power generators.

But on the night Jumaa froze to death, the device had already lost charge from earlier use.

    ‘Verge of madness’

Since the start of its war on Gaza in October 2023, Israel has cut off electricity, severely restricted the entry of fuel and bombed much of the electricity infrastructure in the blockaded enclave.

As a result, Gaza’s residents are enduring a complete energy blackout that has lasted 14 months.

While solar power has helped some Palestinians generate energy, it has not been enough to meet their needs.

Dr Hani al-Faleet, a paediatric specialist at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, said there have been cases where children were close to death but managed to survive.

“The situation is deeply sad because it could have been prevented if there was proper heating, clothing, and nutrition available,” Faleet said.

“Extreme cold significantly impacts the body’s organ functions, disrupting the heart and circulatory system,” he added.

As cases of hypothermia increase and temperatures continue to drop in Gaza, parents have become increasingly paranoid about the risk of their children becoming the next victims of the cold.

In a post on the social media platform X, Nour, a Palestinian displaced mother in the central Gaza Strip, wrote: “I cannot sleep. In the suffocating darkness, I feel their breaths beneath their noses to ensure they haven’t frozen to death yet. I cannot sleep. I’m on the verge of madness”

In al-Zawaida in central Gaza, Hamed Ahmed, a father of three, pricks his newborn’s feet with a pin as she sleeps to ensure she still feels it.

“My tent is made of bits of nylon and fabric, set up near the sea. At night, the temperature drops so much that we adults shiver and freeze – imagine the children,” he told MEE.

“Normally, at the start of winter, we would shop for new clothes for the kids. But now, with three children, my wife and myself, we would need a massive budget to buy clothes.

“Today, a single pair of pyjamas costs 150-180 shekels ($40-50), and I’m unemployed now, so I didn’t buy them anything.”

For more than a year, Israel has severely restricted the entry of goods into Gaza, including winter clothes, with only limited supplies entering as part of international aid.

As a result, the central and southern Gaza Strip, currently home to around 2 million residents and displaced people, is facing a shortage of winter clothes and blankets.

If some items are brought by traders from northern Gaza, they are sold at more than triple their pre-war prices.

“After hearing about the children who have died from the cold, we cannot sleep at night as we keep checking to see if they are covered and warm.

“My wife and I take turns to stay awake to make sure our 22-day-old daughter is still alive.

“We feel her feet regularly to see if they are cold or warm.”

Israeli attacks have killed 27 Palestinians and wounded 149 in the latest 24-hour reporting period, Gaza’s Health Ministry says.

Sixth baby dies from severe cold in Gaza as Israel raids hospitals

Cold weather in Gaza has claimed the life of a baby, the sixth to die in a week, according to medical sources, as Israel continues its relentless attacks on hospitals across the strip.

One-month-old Ali al-Batran died on Monday at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza, the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported, quoting medical sources who attributed his death to plummeting temperatures.

The day before, his twin brother, Jumaa al-Batran, perished from the cold in the displaced family’s flimsy tent in Deir el-Balah, also in the centre of the enclave, his father said, describing how Jumaa had been discovered with his head as “cold as ice”.

The babies were born one month prematurely.

Three of the six Palestinian babies who have died of hypothermia in the past week lived in the coastal “safe zone” of al-Mawasi, close to the southern town of Khan Younis.

Over 80 percent of Gaza displacement tents destroyed by bitter winter conditions

Gaza’s government media office announced over the weekend that around 110,000 tents out of 135,000 are “worn out” and “unfit” for displaced Palestinians.

By late November, over 80 percent of Gaza’s displacement tents had already been severely affected by the weather and the lack of essential facilities to deal with it.

Video footage from 30 December and the past 24 hours has shown many tents, most of which are made from cloth, completely soaked in rainwater, or submerged in areas that have been flooded.

“Babies in Gaza are freezing to death due to cold weather and lack of shelter … Blankets, mattresses, and other winter supplies have been stuck in the region for months waiting for approval to get into Gaza,” Commissioner-General of UNRWA Phillipe Lazzarini said last week, referring to Israel’s closure of all border crossings and the continued prevention of essential aid from entering the strip. Meanwhile, warplanes continue to carry out brutal attacks across the strip.

Gaza hospital director held at notorious Israeli military detention center

A prominent Palestinian hospital director who was arrested by Israel in a raid that closed the last major functioning health facility in northern Gaza is being held at a controversial military base that doubles as a detention facility, recently released former detainees have told CNN.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya has not been seen publicly since Israeli forces raided Kamal Adwan hospital on Friday. Staff members accused Israeli forces of starting a fire in the hospital and said they were all rounded up outside and forced to remove their clothes, a process that took hours, before being forced to leave.

Local journalist Mohammad Al-Sharif said he was among those who were detained from the hospital before his release 11 hours later.

“We endured extremely difficult moments in inhumane conditions,” he told CNN. “The occupation army made no distinction between medical staff, patients, civilians, or journalists.”

The Israeli military said on Saturday it had detained Dr. Abu Safiya because he was “suspected of being a Hamas terrorist operative,” and claimed that the hospital was being used by Hamas as a “command and control center.” The military did not provide any evidence to support the claims.

Palestinian prisoners released this weekend from the facility said they saw Abu Safiya at the prison, and another former detainee said he heard Abu Safiya’s name being read out. CNN cannot independently verify their accounts. The Israeli military has not confirmed to CNN whether Abu Safiya is being held at the facility.

The Sde Teiman torture camp, where dozens have been killed, has been referred to as Israel’s Guantanamo.

    Ha’aretz Op-Ed: Leave Gaza’s Hospitals Alone

Excerpt from the lead editorial in Israeli daily Ha’aretz, December 30, 2024, published in both English and Hebrew:

On Sunday, the IDF claimed that it had arrested over 240 terrorists at the hospital and that its director is suspected of being a Hamas operative. To prove this assertion, the army released pictures of two pistols and a knife found in the hospital.

This meager haul does the opposite of supporting the IDF’s claims. For two pistols and a knife you don’t evacuate dozens of patients and doctors from a hospital and march them in their underwear, on a cold night, before the cameras in order to humiliate them.

It is fair to assume that the deliberate damage to hospitals in Gaza has a different purpose. It appears that as part of the ethnic cleansing of the northern Strip.

In the absence of medical facilities, northern Gaza will be emptied faster, as the sick and wounded flee south in an effort to find care [or die]. Such a large area cannot be left without hospitals, especially in wartime.

The Fourth Geneva Convention accords special status to hospitals during wartime. The presence of small arms and ammunition in a hospital does not justify attacking it, nor does the presence of enemy fighters who are hospitalized there.

Northern Gaza has been destroyed and devastated; the IDF is now mainly engaged in completing its destruction. This is an illegitimate action, and in any case it is prohibited to include hospitals.

‘Systematic elimination of prisoners’: Five Palestinians die in Israeli custody within 24 hours

Four Palestinian prisoners died in Israeli custody on 30 December, bringing the number of detainees killed in Tel Aviv’s brutal prison system up to five within the past 24 hours.

All five were detained from the Gaza Strip, where Israel continues its genocidal campaign against civilians and medical facilities.

A statement from the Palestinian Prisoners Club (PPC) and Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs held the Israeli Prison Service (IPS) responsible for the crimes committed against prisoners, warning of a “growing humanitarian disaster” and accusing Israeli authorities of working to “systematically and publicly liquidate prisoners.”

The Palestinian Ministry of Detainees and Ex-Detainees announced last week the deaths of two other Palestinian prisoners.

Israeli detention centers and prisons where Palestinian detainees are held are known for their extremely repressive and violent conditions, which include torture, rape, and other human rights violations.

The UN warned earlier this year that Palestinians imprisoned across Israeli jails and detention camps have also faced waterboarding, sleep deprivation, and electrocution by Israeli prison authorities since 7 October 2023.

Palestinian detainees from Gaza held by Israel unaccounted for, say Israeli media

Many Palestinian detainees in Israeli custody are unaccounted for, with the army denying any knowledge of their whereabouts, according to Israeli media on Monday.

“The fate of many Palestinians from Gaza who were detained by the Israeli army is unknown,” said Haaretz. “The army claims that there is no indication that those Palestinians have been detained, despite the fact that they were last seen by the soldiers or before their arrest.”

The newspaper said that Palestinians and rights groups have filed 27 petitions to Israeli courts to know the fate of those detainees. “Most of these petitions, however, were rejected,” it added. “But in some cases, the petitions led the army to re-examine to find out that the people the army claims it has no information about were in Israeli detention centers or had died.”

UN statement: Israel’s assault on the foundations of int’l law must have consequences

Israel must face the consequences of its campaign to undermine the legal framework for the protection of civilians in armed conflicts, a group of independent human rights experts* said today, as the full-scale armed assault on Gaza and forced displacement of its population continues unabated.

“As we have repeatedly reminded Israel, international humanitarian law comprises a set of universal and binding rules to protect civilian objects and persons who are not, or are no longer, directly participating in hostilities and limits permissible means and methods of warfare,” the experts said.

“Rather than abide by these rules, Israel has openly defied international law time and again, inflicting maximum suffering on civilians in the occupied Palestinian territory and beyond.”

Citing Israel’s most egregious violations, the experts highlighted crimes against humanity including murder, torture, sexual violence, and repeated forced displacement amounting to forcible transfer, war crimes encompassing indiscriminate attacks on civilians and civilian objects, including objects indispensable to the survival of the civilian population and educational institutions and cultural heritage, the use of starvation as a weapon of war, the targeting of healthcare workers and health facilities, attacks on humanitarian workers, arbitrary restrictions on access to humanitarian aid, and attacks on journalists, collective punishment and perfidy…

“Israel’s continued impunity sends a dangerous message suggesting that parties to other conflicts around the world need not comply with their obligations under international humanitarian law,” they said. “We cannot afford to lose the force of the multilateral system. Israel and its leaders must be held accountable.”

UN special rapporteur calls for global medical boycott of Israel

Francesca Albanese, the UN special rapporteur on Palestine, has urged medical professionals around the world to sever ties with Israel as a direct response to the destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system.

“I urge medical professionals worldwide to pursue the severance of all ties with Israel as a concrete way to forcefully denounce Israel’s full destruction of the Palestinian healthcare system in Gaza, a critical tool of its ongoing genocide,” Albanese said on X.

Her comments reflect growing international concern about the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where hospitals and clinics have been targeted and overwhelmed by relentless violence.

    STATISTICS OCTOBER 7, 2023 – DECEMBER 30, 2024:

Palestinian death toll from October 7, 2023 – December 30, 2024: at least 46,377* – 45,541 in Gaza; in the West Bank, Israeli soldiers and/or settlers have killed at least 836 Palestinians (~172 of them children).

Thousands of those killed in Gaza have yet to be identified, and an estimated 11,000 more are still buried under rubble.

According to a report in the Lancet, by multiplying the reported deaths by five, it is possible to reach a conservative estimate of total deaths (including indirect causes like starvation and lack of medicine). Using the latest figure from AFP (45,541), it is reasonable to estimate at least 227,705 total deaths in Gaza since October 7th, 2023.

According to a recent report by the UN Human Rights Office of identified fatalities in Gaza, about 44% were children. It is reasonable to estimate that 20,038 of known direct deaths and 100,190 of the total deaths are children.

Since Israel launched an extermination campaign in northern Gaza in early October, over 4,000 Palestinians have been killed or are missing and another 12,000 wounded.

Palestinian injuries from October 7, 2023 – December 30, 2024: at least 114,689 (including at least 108,338 in Gaza and 6,500 in the West Bank, including 830 children). [It remains unknown how many Americans are among the casualties in Gaza.]

Reported Israeli death toll from October 7, 2023 – December 30, 2024: ~1,595 (~1,139 on October 7, 2023, of which ~32 were Americans, and ~36 were children); 417*** (or 391) military forces since the ground invasion began in Gaza (updated: Dec. 17); 43 military and civilians in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel) and~10,000 injured.

NOTE: It is unknown at this time how many of the deaths and injuries of Israelis on October 7 were caused by Israeli soldiers.

ADDITIONAL STATISTICS: Since October 7th, 2023:

At least 50 Palestinians have died in Israeli prisons (at least 30 of them from Gaza).
At least 43 Palestinians have died due to malnutrition (at least 37 of them children)**.
About 1.9 million of Gaza’s 2.3 million population are currently displaced.
About 345,000 Gazans are currently experiencing catastrophic levels of food insecurity.
*The Ministry’s figures have been contested by the Israeli authorities, although they have been accepted as accurate by Israeli intelligence services, the UN, and WHO. These data are supported by independent analyses, comparing changes in the number of deaths of UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff with those reported by the Ministry, which found claims of data fabrication implausible.

Previously, IAK did not include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile was being disputed. However, given that much evidence points to Israel as the culprit, Israel had previously bombed the hospital and has attacked many others, Israel is prohibiting outside experts from investigating the scene, and since the UN and other agencies are including the deaths from the attack in their cumulative totals, if Americans knew is now also doing so.

**Euro-Med Monitor reports that Gaza’s elderly are dying at an alarmingly high rate. The majority die at home and are buried either close to their residences or in makeshift graves dispersed across the Strip. There are currently more than 140 such cemeteries. Additionally, according to Euromed, thousands have died from starvation, malnourishment, and inadequate medical care; these are considered indirect victims as they were not registered in hospitals.

***The figure does not include the reportedly 59 Israeli soldiers – nearly 17% of the total Israeli military deaths – killed due to friendly fire in Gaza and other military-related accidents.

† For most of the conflict, women and children accounted for about 70% of deaths in Gaza, with children making up a little over 40% of those killed, according to official statistics.

Sixth baby dies from severe cold in Gaza as Israel raids hospitals Cold weather in Gaza has claimed the life of a baby, the sixth to die in a week, according to medical sources, as Israel continues its relentless attacks on hospitals across the strip. Rain and cold temperatures make life miserable for displaced Palestinians in Gaza Rain and cold temperatures make life miserable for displaced Palestinians in Gaza (social media) Gaza hospital director held at notorious Israeli military detention center A prominent Palestinian hospital director who was arrested by Israel in a raid that closed the last major functioning health facility in northern Gaza is being held at a controversial military base that doubles as a detention facility, recently released former detainees have told CNN. “The occupation army made no distinction between medical staff, patients, civilians, or journalists.” The Israeli military said on Saturday it had detained Dr. • I get asked very frequently - "Which oil should I cook with?"

Aside from the fact that cooking in burnt oil makes for a nasty-tasting dish, eating improperly heated, oxidized oils regularly has detrimental effects on your health.

When oil is oxidized, it breaks down into unstable molecules that are toxic and go on to disrupt metabolic processes, damage cells, and cause inflammation.

Contrary to popular belief, an oil’s smoke point (when it begins to burn) does not determine when an oil starts to oxidize.

It’s actually a lot more complex and depends on the oil’s wetness, acidity, and antioxidant qualities.

Many vegetable oils have high smoke points but start to oxidize quickly.

    The type of processing matters.

Clarified and refined oils have been stripped of most of their fatty acid content and usually have higher smoke points, but actually oxidize quicker.

We want to keep the natural antioxidant plant compounds in our oils because they protect them from oxidation.

You might be surprised to learn that extra virgin olive oil actually works great for cooking, which goes against outdated beliefs.

It’s so high in polyphenols that they prevent it from oxidizing even at high temperatures (PMID: 31963124).

Don’t have to live in fear of occasionally burning your cooking oil; it’s not going to kill you.

Locals pushing the interests of foreign organizations

As in all countries around the world, Malaysia is not exempt from locals pushing the interests of foreign organizations. These locals are journalists, NGOs, and even civil servants and politicians who try to leverage public opinion in the favour of their foreign principals. Areas of interest and persuasion include political issues, foreign policy positions, or gaining lucrative commercial contracts from government.

This is happening in Malaysia on a massive scale and is almost invisible to the ordinary Malaysian, as a local identity is used as a front.

Two good examples have occurred within the last week.

Putting out the names for PMXI

With the massive increase of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Malaysian politics, there is a view that the current prime minister Anwar Ibrahim should be followed by a prime minister who is totally loyal to the WEF cause. Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz is their man. Tengku Zafrul has been very active within the WEF over recent years, and drastically increased WEF influence into Malaysia over his tenure as a minister of the government.

Another WEF stalwart Khairy Jamaluddin, who is also considered to be future PM material for the WEF, is using his radio program Keluar Sekejap to put Tengku Zafrul’s name out there and pitch for him.

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1747927543569858714

This approach is aimed at winning the hearts and minds of Malaysians towards Tengku Zafrul as the next prime minister, given future events favour his rise. Expect more positive talk about Tengku Zafrul to come in the near future.

WEF insiders have compared the strengths and weaknesses of both Anwar Ibrahim and Tengku Zafrul, where Tengku comes out far on top. He is especially appealing to the WEF elite because of his royal linkages and persona with the international community.

Pressuring the health minister to order monovalent XBB.1.5 vaccines

The new minister of health Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad has reframed from ordering the very expensive new monovalent XBB.1.5 vaccines in preference to running down the existing high stock levels held by the ministry of health. This action would save the MOH millions of Ringgit.

    The well-known pro-big pharma mouthpiece Code Blue in an article written by Boo Su-Lyn stated that the MOH was acting against recommendations issued by the World Health Organization (WHO). Boo Su-Lyn wrote;

“Malaysia’s Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed that the only Covid-19 vaccine available in the country is Sinovac that targets the original strain of the SARS-CoV-2 virus; no recommendations were made for a fifth dose, or third booster jab.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommended last December 13 the use of monovalent XBB.1.5 vaccines across different platforms against currently circulating variants”.

In addition, Boo Su-Lyn inferred that Malaysia was providing poorer health care to its citizens, stating that “Countries like Singapore, the United States, and even Hong Kong have already rolled out the new monovalent XBB.1.5 mRNA vaccines by Pfizer and Moderna for 2023/ 2024 that target the Omicron variant, XBB.1.5.”

Code Blue’s article is a subtle attempt to influence local medical opinion and the minister to make a decision to purchase more mRNA vaccines. Code Blue is an online portal has no visual advertising or transparent sources of funding.

News portal chief claims Health Ministry hunting survey respondents
Boo Su-Lyn who is funding Code Blue? Please assure readers Code Blue is not receiving funding from Big Pharma.

Code Blue runs an almost continuous series of pro-vaccine articles written by well-known pro-big pharma writers, regularly attack those who warn of the dangers of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The two above examples of influence from dark forces on politics and government are just some of many cases of foreign interference perpetrated by Malaysians to government and politics in Malaysia.

Two categories of foreign mercenaries are fighting in Ukraine – those who fight to earn some measly money and those who earn thousands of dollars a month by providing various services, ranging from training the Ukrainian army in combat to removing mines. However, what has become abundantly clear is that these mercenaries are not willing to die for Ukraine.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken recently announced a new $725 million military aid package for Kiev. During the administration of US President Joe Biden, a total of $62 billion was allocated to the Eastern European country. The US military industry and US private military companies operating in Ukraine earn from this.

Several private military companies have been awarded contracts to support the Ukrainian armed forces in the war against Russia. Under contracts with the Pentagon and the State Department, American and Canadian military companies are engaged in protecting facilities in Ukraine, demining, reconnaissance, and training Ukrainian soldiers in artillery fire. They also maintain F-16 fighter jets and train crews.

Most of the funds allocated by the Biden administration were spent on the purchase of weapons and support for the US military-industrial complex, which is why they went to US companies that produce and supply weapons. In addition, large quantities of weapons were also provided from the existing Pentagon arsenals.

Private military companies’ involvement in Ukraine is quite limited. Most of their services in other countries were primarily aimed at low-intensity conflicts, and their opponents were partisan or rebel formations in various countries. In such situations, private military companies could provide effective protection of communications, facilities, and property or participate in low-intensity battles against regular units.

However, the Ukrainian conflict is a war of large armies, an artillery war and a drone war. Private military companies, which are used to operating in low-intensity conditions, are not the best suited for the Ukraine War, which is why they have suffered heavy losses defending the Kiev regime. By the end of 2023, the peak of mercenaries in Ukraine had passed. Today, there are significantly fewer than before.

This has caused issues since, as consistent throughout history, mercenaries want to make money but do not want to die for others.

The Russian Ministry of Defence regularly publishes estimates of the number of mercenaries and their losses in Ukraine. Moreover, the Ministry also provides data on the countries from which these mercenaries came. The largest number comes from Poland, then from the United States, and recently, many mercenaries have been arriving from Latin America, especially from economically less developed countries such as Colombia and Bolivia.

People come to Ukraine to earn money, but this conflict does not bring much income. Most of these mercenaries die in Ukraine or disappear without a trace. In many cases, their families never find their bodies. According to reports in March, almost 13,400 foreign mercenaries had arrived in the war-torn country to fight against the Russian army. By then, about 6,000 had been eliminated. According to the Russian military, most of the mercenaries came to Ukraine from Poland, the United States, Canada, and Georgia.

As for salaries, the Ukrainian government does not particularly enrich foreign mercenaries, so they are paid the same as regular soldiers and officers of the Ukrainian army. For many in Latin America, for example, a little money motivates them to be cannon fodder.

However, other mercenaries, such as highly qualified specialists, are hired to service complex Western equipment. These people receive significantly more money—at the level of first-class armies such as the armies of the European Union or the United States. These specialists do not go to the front or lie in the trenches but work on radars, air defence systems, aircraft systems, and other complex equipment that the US and the EU supply to the Ukrainian military. For such specialists, the salaries are much higher – perhaps several thousand dollars per month, and for some specialized jobs, such as air defence system operators or experts in long-range missiles such as ATACMS or Storm Shadow, salaries can reach tens of thousands per month.

Ukraine has adopted a law that allows foreign citizens to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine and hold officer and command positions, officially legalizing their participation in the army’s structure. This confirms that cooperation with foreigners in the military continues and that they are attempting to fill the shortage of qualified personnel in the Ukrainian military.

Regarding the influence of private military companies on the conflict and the course of the special military operation, the greatest influence is exerted by highly qualified specialists working on the maintenance and use of Western weapons, which are now crucial in this conflict, as they enable the achievement of tactical and operational goals. Although the number of mercenaries participating in the fighting is not large, their role in maintaining and operating complex Western weapons systems has a major impact on the course of the conflict.

The West, in failing to grasp the new reality of the conflict in Ukraine, is completely delusional and will pay a heavy price for its mistake, Viktor Orbán warned. Yet, despite the delusions of the West, the Hungarian Prime Minister continues to work towards peace in Ukraine and to ensure the flow of Russian energy to Ukraine.

Orbán believes that US President-elect Donald Trump, who is prepared to fight for the spiritual and civilizational future of the West alongside patriots, is preparing to come to power in Washington and completely change the Western world.

“I already live mentally in this new reality, and the Hungarian government is already there. And in Brussels, they are still in the old reality, which was before the big changes. And they say everything can be done as they have done so far. Completely delusional. They will pay dearly for this,” Orbán told broadcaster M1 on December 22.

The Hungarian prime minister previously said that Europe and the US spent a total of 310 billion euros on Ukraine, which was a “nightmare” amount. If this money had been invested in the economy, European citizens would be living much better today, and it would have been possible to “work miracles.”

He also recently stated that the world economy risks splitting into Western and Eastern blocs as a result of the West’s suicidal policies, to which anti-Russia sanctions are also related. Hungary does not want to belong to either bloc and intends to maintain close economic ties with both.

Earlier this month, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky again criticised Orbán for communicating with Russian President Vladimir Putin in a phone call.

The Hungarian and Russian leaders discussed the possibility of establishing a “lasting and sustainable” peace in Europe and a Christmas ceasefire. Orbán also presented the idea of a prisoner exchange, which was also conveyed to Zelensky through diplomatic channels, but, according to the Hungarian leader, he “rejected and discarded” the idea.

In the same vein as Orbán’s recent statements, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told RIA Novosti news agency that Hungary’s proposed Christmas truce between Russia and Ukraine could be a great help in initiating a peaceful solution to the crisis.

Szijjarto said the Hungarian side had asked Kiev for a phone call between Orban and Zelensky but had received a “discourteous refusal.”

“We were certain, and we remain certain, that this war cannot be resolved on the battlefield, but only at the negotiating table,” the foreign minister told the outlet on December 23.

He said certain conditions are needed to achieve a lasting peaceful solution, such as a ceasefire, which would save hundreds or thousands of people’s lives and set a good example.

“I think this coming Christmas could mean or provide a great platform for that, even if it’s just for a few days,” he said.

The Hungarian foreign minister noted that his task was to make an adequate proposal, while the rest depended on Zelensky: “Let the Ukrainian people judge your decision.”

Szijjarto’s latest comments came after he accused Ukraine on December 19 of launching a shameful campaign against his country in response to the ceasefire proposal.

“It is clear that [Zelensky] has launched a shameful campaign against us in recent days, constantly provoking us in the international arena. I think we cannot give in to this,” Szijjarto told local media.

Zelensky tried to prevent Orbán from acting as a mediator in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. On December 18, in response to Zelensky’s accusations, Orbán stated that he would not give in to provocations, that the ceasefire proposal is still in force and that the Ukrainian president himself must take responsibility for accepting it or not.

Budapest has consistently blasted the anti-Russia sanctions imposed by the European Union and the US, highlighting how this decision has only led to the decline of the bloc’s collective economic and industrial power since the effects have only boomeranged. This decline is attributed to Europe now purchasing expensive energy in an effort to boycott Russia. Instead, Europe still receives Russian energy, primarily via third parties, such as India and Azerbaijan.

Even in this issue, Hungary is the only country of the 27-member bloc to attempt to resolve it seriously.

The Hungarian leader revealed on December 21 that Budapest is in talks with Moscow and Kiev to keep gas shipments open via Ukraine after the Kiev regime said it would not extend the transit agreement for Russian gas through its territory, set to expire on December 31.

“We are now trying the trick … that what if the gas, by the time it enters the territory of Ukraine, would no longer be Russian but would be already in the ownership of the buyers,” Orbán said. “So the gas that enters Ukraine would no longer be Russian gas but it would be Hungarian gas.”

Hungary and neighbouring Slovakia and Austria continue to import Russian gas, paid for through the now-sanctioned Gazprombank. Under a 15-year deal signed in 2021, Hungary receives roughly 4.5 billion cubic metres of Russian gas annually and, for this reason, has been immune to much of the energy price hikes experienced in the rest of the European bloc, a scenario that angers Brussels and Kiev alike since Budapest refuses to submit to their complete delusions.

Gaza’s health ministry says Israeli strikes have killed 36 Palestinians and wounded 96 others in the latest 24-hour reporting period.

At least 25 people were killed when Israeli warplanes hit and leveled an inhabited home in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, a local source said on Monday. Women and children were sheltering there.

More than 3,700 people have been killed or reported missing during 60 days of Israeli military’s operations in northern Gaza, the enclave’s media office said Monday. 1,750 are reported detained.

In Lebanon, in spite of a ceasefire, Israeli forces killed at least 11 on Monday.

There are no ‘humanitarian zones’ or ‘evacuation orders’ in Gaza

As you read this, many families in Gaza are weighing whether they should flee their current shelter and risk having to endure the harsh winter out on the streets or risk being bombed and killed where they are. There is no guarantee that they will be safe from Israel’s bombs and bullets if they choose either option.

These are dilemmas no human should ever have to endure, yet recent research by Action For Humanity found that 98 percent of the 200,000 people in the “humanitarian zones” in central Gaza have had to wrestle with them. In fact, according to our findings, more than a quarter of these people have had to move 10 or more times in the past 13 months.

The research, based on the testimonies of displaced Palestinians on the ground, revealed that Israel’s “evacuation orders” often give people just an hour, and sometimes even less, to pack up what remains of their lives and run for their lives. And when they agree to “evacuate”, they are often still chased by a hail of bullets as they try to find new shelter in another “humanitarian zone”.

The devastating details in the report, titled Erasure by Design, make it clear that there are no real humanitarian zones in Gaza and that the “evacuation orders” Israel issues are not aimed at getting Palestinians out of harm’s way. The use of these terms by Israel, its allies and international media serve only to whitewash what is happening before our eyes in Gaza: land grabs under the threat of extermination.

It is doing so to ensure nowhere in Gaza is safe for Palestinians. It is trying to kill two birds with one stone: creating the illusion of adherence to humanitarian law while laying the groundwork for illegally expanding Israeli territory.

The reality on the ground is clear: There are no “humanitarian zones” or “evacuation orders” but only threats of extermination and islands of medieval suffering not fit for basic survival, let alone dignified living.

Israeli army razes 600 buildings in Gaza to build dozens of military bases, expand Netzarim Corridor

The Israeli army has been expanding its construction of military bases, outposts, and communication towers in the Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza, the New York Times (NYT) reported on 2 December.

The military has demolished over 600 buildings around the corridor in the past three months “in an apparent attempt to create a buffer zone,” the report states.

Satellite images reviewed by NYT showed the Israeli army has built at least 19 large bases throughout the area and dozens of small ones, suggesting plans for a long-term occupation.

“While some were built earlier in the war, the imagery also shows that the pace of construction appears to be accelerating: 12 of the bases were either built or expanded since early September,” NYT writes.

As a result of the construction, the corridor has slowly grown into a 46.6 square-kilometer military zone occupied by Israeli forces.

Hamas says 33 Israeli captives killed in Gaza

Hamas says 33 captives held by the group in Gaza have been killed since the start of Israel’s nearly 14-month-old war in the besieged enclave.

The group issued a video statement on Monday saying the captives were killed “because of the stubbornness of the war criminal” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and “his ongoing aggression”.

Hamas made the announcement as key mediators, including Egypt, Qatar and the United States, launch another effort to reach a ceasefire that would see the release of Israeli captives.

The push comes after a recent truce in Lebanon raised hope for a diplomatic breakthrough.

Hamas’s video lists and dates the incidents in which the group said captives were killed. Most of them were air strikes. However, some were rescue attempts by the Israeli military gone wrong.

Hamas offered to release all Israeli hostages in the early days of the war.

The Israeli air force bombed a tent encampment in Al-Mawasi camp near south Gaza's Khan Younis, a so-called ‘safe zone,’ killing two children – Jawad and Sareen – on 1 December. The children's mother and a sibling were also injured in the attack, according to medics.

B’Tselem: “Unleashed: Abuse of Palestinians by Israeli Soldiers in the Center of Hebron”

In the West Bank, the view of all Palestinians as enemies who should be treated with unyielding force is translating into further oppression of the entire civilian population, by the various arms of the Israeli regime.

A record number of Palestinians were killed by Israeli fire in 2024, and the number of detentions and administrative detainees reached a historic high.

Since the beginning of the war, many attacks on Palestinians by soldiers and settlers have been documented throughout the West Bank. The attacks were aimed at Palestinians suspected of no wrongdoing and often carried out in plain sight, in full view of officers and commanders.

Soldiers are being urged to take more “proactive” and “offensive” actions, while the public is demanding – or, at least, accepting – revenge on all Palestinians for the crimes of Hamas.

They see themselves as authorized to play the role of prosecutor, judge and executioner in any encounter with a Palestinian. In practice, every soldier has been granted virtually unlimited power to use violent means of oppression.

They know they will not be held accountable for their conduct.

B’Tselem’s field researchers gathered testimonies from Palestinians who were attacked by soldiers in the city center of Hebron between May and August 2024. Their accounts indicate a rise in the scope, type and severity of violence that soldiers are currently employing against Palestinians in the West Bank.

Israel has demolished over 1,500 West Bank facilities in 2024, says UN

Israeli forces have demolished 1,528 Palestinian-owned structures in the occupied West Bank since the start of the year, according to the latest figures published by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The UN data, published on 29 November, indicated that 3,637 Palestinians have been displaced as a result of an ongoing Israeli demolition campaign.

The destroyed infrastructure included inhabited residences (700), agricultural infrastructure (398), and livelihood-related assets (205), such as shops and businesses.

‘Significant progress’ made by Hamas, Fatah on post-war Gaza govt: Report

Hamas and the Palestinian Authority’s (PA) Fatah party have made “significant progress” towards forming a joint governing body to administer a post-war Gaza Strip during talks in the Egyptian capital Cairo, Al-Araby al-Jadeed reported on 2 December.

The source said, “There is a general consensus among all on the need to seize the opportunity to resolve the differences and end the suffering of the Palestinian people.”

In late July this year, Hamas, Fatah, and 12 other Palestinian factions signed a Chinese-brokered reconciliation agreement during meetings in Beijing.

Washington has been pushing its own plans for post-war Gaza, which involves the installment of a “reformed” PA under the tutelage of an Arab-International mission.

The Palestinian resistance factions have rejected western initiatives for post-war Gaza and maintain that the fate of their people must remain in their hands.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu continues to reject the PA and Fatah’s involvement in any post-war government in Gaza. The premier has advanced his own plans for the ‘day after’ the war, which involves indefinite Israeli security control over the strip.

Israel strikes Lebanon again and again, but hopes ceasefire will hold

Israel has a unique and unilateral interpretation of the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, whereby Israel has given itself the right to enforce that agreement with “fire”. So far, according to UNIFIL, the UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon, Israel has broken the ceasefire at least 100 times.

These were the words of the Israeli army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, “We will maintain the ceasefire with fire”, meaning that Israel can strike at Hezbollah on Lebanese territory and beyond.

Israel views any infraction, any movement, any activity of Hezbollah as a violation that it has the right to respond to.

US envoy Amos Hochstein has expressed frustration and fear that these Israeli attacks could threaten this fragile ceasefire.

In the meantime, Israel continues striking but is still hoping that this ceasefire would hold.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar told his French counterpart in a phone call that his country is, in fact, enforcing the ceasefire – which stipulates Hezbollah’s withdrawal from the Israel-Lebanon border area – rather than violating it, Sa’ar said on X Monday.

On Monday alone, in spite of the ceasefire, Israeli forces killed at least 11 Lebanese.

Over 500 digital rights violations against Palestinian content recorded in November: Report

Sada Social, an organization dedicated to documenting digital rights violations against Palestinian content online, reported over 500 violations in November.

The organization documented extensive digital suppression across multiple platforms in its monthly report.

Meta platforms accounted for 57% of the violations, followed by TikTok at 23%, YouTube at 13% and X at 7%.

Additionally, 30 WhatsApp accounts belonging to Palestinians were removed, including two news groups.

These actions deepen “digital policies that suppress Palestinian voices and limit their reach to audiences,” the organization said.

It also noted that a persistent “digital blackout” continued in northern Gaza, “severely hindering residents’ ability to communicate.”

    STATISTICS OCTOBER 7, 2023 – DECEMBER 2, 2024:

Palestinian death toll from October 7, 2023 – December 2, 2024: at least 45,303* ( 44,502 in Gaza* – 69% are women and children, according to Gaza’s Media Office). [The Ministry’s figures have been contested by the Israeli authorities, although they have been accepted as accurate by Israeli intelligence services, the UN, and WHO. These data are supported by independent analyses, comparing changes in the number of deaths of UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff with those reported by the Ministry, which found claims of data fabrication implausible.]

This is expected to be a significant undercount since thousands of those killed have yet to be identified. This does not include an estimated 10,000 more in Gaza still buried under rubble (4,900 women and children).

In the West Bank, Israeli soldiers and/or settlers have killed at least 801 Palestinians (~167 of them children).

In July 2024, the Lancet said: “Applying a conservative estimate of four indirect deaths per one direct death to the 37,396 deaths reported, it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186,000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza.

Ralph Nader earlier estimated 300,000 Palestinians may have been killed in Gaza.

At least 60 Palestinians have died in Israeli prisons (at least 47 from Gaza).
At least 43 Palestinians have died due to malnutrition (at least 37 of them children)**.
About 1.9 million of Gaza’s 2.3 million population are currently displaced.
About 345,000 Gazans are currently experiencing catastrophic levels of food insecurity.
Palestinian injuries from October 7 – December 2, 2024: at least 111,904 (including at least 105,454 in Gaza and 6,450 in the West Bank, including 830 children). [It remains unknown how many Americans are among the casualties in Gaza.]

Reported Israeli death toll from October 7, 2023 – December 2, 2024: ~1,584 (~1,139 on October 7, 2023, of which ~32 were Americans, and ~36 were children); 406*** military forces since the ground invasion began in Gaza (updated: Nov 29); 39 military and civilians in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel) and~10,000 injured.

The death toll in Lebanon since October 8, 2023 is at least 3,961, with 16,520 injuries.

NOTE: It is unknown at this time how many of the deaths and injuries of Israelis on October 7 were caused by Israeli soldiers.

*Previously, IAK did not include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile was being disputed.

***The figure does not include the reportedly 56 Israeli soldiers – nearly 16% of the total Israeli military deaths – killed due to friendly fire in Gaza and other military-related accidents.

† For most of the conflict, women and children accounted for about 70% of deaths in Gaza, with children making up a little over 40% of those killed, according to official statistics.

It also noted that a persistent “digital blackout” continued in northern Gaza, “severely hindering residents’ ability to communicate.” Digital policies regularly suppress Palestinian voices and limit their reach to audiences, according to Sada Social, an organization dedicated to documenting digital rights violations against Palestinian content online Digital policies regularly suppress Palestinian voices and limit their reach to audiences, according to Sada Social, an organization dedicated to documenting digital rights violations against Palestinian content online (AA) MORE NEWS: The Intercept: How Universities Are Trying to Stop Another Year of Anti-War Activism Drop Site News: REVEALED: Israeli Settler Company Specializing in West Bank Outposts Now at Work in Northern Gaza Mondoweiss: Leak reveals UK lawyers, Israeli government planned ‘special unit’ to counter human rights reporting. Here’s what we know. STATISTICS OCTOBER 7, 2023 – DECEMBER 2, 2024: Palestinian death toll from October 7, 2023 – December 2, 2024: at least 45,303* ( 44,502 in Gaza* – 69% are women and children, according to Gaza’s Media Office). [The Ministry’s figures have been contested by the Israeli authorities, although they have been accepted as accurate by Israeli intelligence services, the UN, and WHO. These data are supported by independent analyses, comparing changes in the number of deaths of UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff with those reported by the Ministry, which found claims of data fabrication implausible.] This is expected to be a significant undercount since thousands of those killed have yet to be identified. [It remains unknown how many Americans are among the casualties in Gaza.] Reported Israeli death toll from October 7, 2023 – December 2, 2024: ~1,584 (~1,139 on October 7, 2023, of which ~32 were Americans, and ~36 were children); 406*** military forces since the ground invasion began in Gaza (updated: Nov 29); 39 military and civilians in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel) and~10,000 injured.
