  • Picture: old lighthouse in Podersdorf am Neusiedlersee, Burgenland, Österreich
    What is Art?
Yesterday me and my wife went on a trip (Thanks to my parents for watchin the kids...) to a place we really love. While she drove the car, I look at her pictures and thought a bit about art...
By definition art has to be artifiical, ergo manmade, so nature per se can´t be considered as art. (Maybe we could discuss If one can think of god as an artist...).
Furthermore art has something we call "disinterested pleasure", which means - simplyfied - that it has no purpose beside delighting our senses....
btw: What is with the market for art (or art on steroids aka NFTs ^^)? If I want to invest in art to make money, is this without interest (and would the piece of art lose it´s "disinterested plesure" by gaining a purpose - makin money???)

  • A few months ago a young startup launched a new crypto P2E game, Crypto Football.

    https://cryptofootball.app/

A fun and fast game, which you will immediately love It is not difficult to play and does not take too much time (the three-minute match is really dynamic and non-committal). They have an interesting Whitepaper, and a collection of NFTs has been released for the purposes of the game. The plan is to further develop new ingame NFT collections that will later be sold on the marketplace.

I have been playing Cryptofootball since September, when the beta phase started, I collected 5 NFTs and became a worthy opponent for any Cryptofootball player…

Yesterday the presale for the Cryptofootball BOLA token started. The token launch is after the successful presale on Friday, so if anyone sees an opportunity to invest, in addition to the game and P2E possibilities, let them take a look. It is not financial advice, the game is free to play, and you make the investment after research.
I joined to support, I have some $ left over from buying Hive and SME :-)

If you think it would be interesting to the communities where you move, forward it, help the development of this game.

Available on Google Play and Apple Store Ready to play and earn! Free to play

  • Greywarden > So, from the below remarks we see the Race Marxist Doctor Ms. Carol Swain making of critical race theory, Is to segregate what she calls White oppressors who she regards as mostly heterosexual, when in fact most of the world is heterosexual and has been throughout history. Furthermore, the Objective of critical race theory as defined by Doctor Ms. Carol Swain is for the purpose of remaking society so what she calls the victim class (race Marxist Socialist), displaces what she calls rulling class (White Supremacist), so the Race Marxist become the New Rulling class.

Greywarden > Her erroneous conclusions that the White Supremacist are in power and are the oppressors is what is in play here. The Race Marxist are in power and the real Victims are the Patriots not the White Supremacists. I debate White Supremacist very often and they want the Communist Liberals just like Ms. Carol Swain to destory America. White Supremacist which are called "the Alternative Right)" are not a right leaning movement, but are race socialists that hate Capitalism just like Ms. Carol Swain does! These Race Marxist would love to bring back something similar to Jim Crow laws but with another twist! People need to open their eyes and start voting against these lunatics before they run our Country to the ground.

  • “The blazing fire makes flames and brightness out of everything thrown into it.” (Marc Aurel)
If you follow the stoic principles long enough, if you remain calm and steady, if you don´t give in your desires (develope "virtues"), if you live by EUDAIMONIA - lasting true inner happyness - instead of craving for transistory things like fame or money , if you practice APATHEIA and ATARAXIA , if you take responsibility for yourself and engange yourself in your political society, if you give back without demanding something in exchange, if you find your purpose and go all in for it...
THEN you will develope a FIRE INSIDE yourself. And then the things resulting from your deeds will prosper , because it is like JESUS said in Mt: 12,13
"Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them."
Unfair? No, just a law of the universe. "The secret" in application.
What are you waiting for? Demand what is entitled to you.
    PS : Don´t forget the ethics ;)

  • Philosophy of happyness: Aristotle (2/3)

“He is happy who lives in accordance with complete virtue and is sufficiently equipped with external goods, not for some chance period but throughout a complete life.” (Aristotle)

virtues play a huge role in the theory of Aristotle´s ethics. "Arete" is the old greek word for "virtue". A being is "good" if he/ it behaves according to it´s purpose. A good knife cuts good. A good human is - wise, a thinker, politically engaged and so on. There are "moral virtues" and "ethical virtues". To reason is genuine for humans (we can discuss about this...), thats why "phronesis" - prudence/ practical wisdom is very important. The key point: Mesotes. The middle way between two maximum expression of one virtue is favorable. A person is drowning and you see it but you cant swim. Runnung away is corwardly, jumping into the water is foolhardy. Mesotes would be getting help. Thats courage....

Imho nowadays we kind of lose the Mesotes- thing, because our lifes tend to be extreme in different ways.

How do you maintain the middle? And isn´t an average life boring ^^

They gave me another cactus plant to add to my collection. Cacti are excellent for interior decoration due to their unusual and attractive appearance, and also offer a variety of applications and benefits, including decorative and utilitarian purposes, such as the collection of carbon dioxide and other pollutants.

  • Thank You SoMee Community

Together we raised $9.45 in total from the two content payouts ($5.81 + $3.64) created to help those affected in the Turkey and Syria Earthquake.

It was our little way to contribute as a SoMee Community for the Global Community from the rewards earned. With just a simple Upvote, the earnings added up and see the results.

If you would like to further the contribution and help double the donation paid, you can do so directly with the Charitable organisation Penny Appeal US, by clicking on the link and donate any amount.

    https://givematch.com/link/mZihg9Q9

I am not sure why the top payout amount was less than the below content $ on each post, however, I went by the high value and rounded it up to $10. As promised 100% of entire Curator and Author payout has gone towards this cause and I thank each of you for your generous upvote contributions.

From this Appeal with your help & support, and by donating through Penny Appeal, I hope it aids those in need and to as many people. 1 dollar can make a difference in many countries. Here's how much for the two Countries:

    *$1 = 18.87 TRY (Turkish Lira)
    $10 = 188.70

    *$1 = 2,512 SYP (Syrian Pound)
    $10 = 25,120

*Amounts are rounded for illustrative purpose and at the time of this post. Exchange value fluctuate regularly. Exchange source: xe.com

I hope SoMee can integrate a system where we can donate to various charitable causes directly through the platform. Until then, Thank you once again for making 'Madam A Earthquake Appeal' a Successful way

  • What do you know about morality?
    *************************************************************
    C-GPT:
Morality is a complex and multifaceted concept that refers to principles or standards of right and wrong behavior that are widely accepted within a particular society or culture. Moral values often involve a sense of obligation or duty to act in certain ways and to avoid certain actions, based on a shared understanding of what is considered good or bad, right or wrong.

There are various philosophical theories and approaches to morality, including deontological ethics, consequentialist ethics, and virtue ethics. Deontological ethics, for example, holds that certain actions are inherently right or wrong, regardless of their consequences, while consequentialist ethics focuses on the outcomes or consequences of actions. Virtue ethics emphasizes the cultivation of virtuous character traits and habits, rather than focusing solely on rules or consequences.

In addition, morality can be influenced by factors such as religion, culture, social norms, and personal values. While there are many different opinions and beliefs about what is right or wrong, morality plays an important role in shaping human behavior and interactions with others, as well as providing a sense of meaning and purpose in life.

    ************************************************************
Is morality better off without religion?
    ************************************************************
    C-GPT:
There is no consensus on whether morality is better off without religion, as it is a highly debated topic. Some argue that religion is not necessary for people to have a sense of morality, as moral values and principles can be developed through reason and reflection on human nature and experience. Others argue that religion provides a framework for morality, and that without religion, moral values and principles would lack a solid foundation and may be subject to change over time.

One argument in favor of separating morality from religion is that it allows for a more inclusive and tolerant society, as moral values can be based on shared human experiences and universal human rights rather than the particular beliefs of one religious group. It can also promote critical thinking and individual autonomy, as people are encouraged to think for themselves about moral issues rather than simply relying on religious authority.

However, some argue that religion provides a necessary foundation for morality, as it offers a set of clear & absolute moral guidelines, provides a sense of accountability to a higher power, & fosters a sense of community and shared values. For some people, religion is a fundamental source of meaning & purpose in life & provides a moral compass that cannot be replicated through secular means.

In the end, the relationship between morality & religion is a complex and multifaceted issue, & the answer to whether morality is better off without religion may depend on individual beliefs & values.
