This is our #freecampsite where I decided to get a #pontoonboat. The area is called #BoggyPointCove and is in North Central #Arkansas on a body of water called #NorforkLake. We've since returned and met quite a few cool people from the area. Last year when we went on a multi-state Morrel hunt, we happened upon this free campsite called #BoggyCove on #NorforkLake in #Arkansas. The campsites were right at the lake with a boat launch. It was here that I mentioned wanting a #pontoon boat, because I need the stability these days. Later on that summer [AlphaHippie] hit the web and found a great deal. We bought the boat and the first place we launched it was where the idea was born. Norfork Lake is a dammed river that creates a #reservoir. It's 60 some miles long and a great place to get away for a few days. Just to make it clear, I don't take selfies. [AlphaHippie] is just always camera happy, so nothing escapes his attention nor shooting finger. The view from here over #MerrittReservoir is quite amazing with the rolling #Sandhills in the background. This was from the first time we checked out the area and have continued to return over the last few years. With free #camping right at the boat launch, it's a perfect spot. The next time we came back AH forgot how tight the #ScenicView'ing parking area was and put us in a bit of pickle trying to turn around. With a 31' RV towing a 24' pontoon boat, things can get a bit tricky at times. To get out of here we had to sacrifice a taillight lens, but he got us turned around. Since [AlphaHippie] is doxing(jk) me in his travel pics, I decided to update my avatar and put a face to my account. Everywhere he goes I go as well. He's my chauffer actually, since my arms are not strong enough to handle the RV or the pontoon boat these days. This is one of my favorite pictures, because it's the first time in a long time I decided to join AH and the pups for a short hike down the trail. Well, the first time for a trail of this difficulty level. AH found me a nice branch to use as a walking stick, whittled a handle and a point at the other end and off we went. I'm glad I did, because the differing perspectives of the scenery as we walked made each one unique as we descended into the shallow valleys and ascended back up.
