Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has been issued with an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity and war crimes, will likely visit President Donald Trump at the White House as soon as next week.

Whether Netanyahu will discuss Trump’s recent musings on ethnic cleansing of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip or focus on Iran and expanding the Abraham Accords remains to be seen.

On Saturday on board Air Force One, Trump was asked about a call he had earlier in the day with King Abdullah of Jordan.

Trump emphasized that the subject of their discussion was Jordan taking more Palestinian refugees.

“He really houses, you know, millions of Palestinians, and he does it in a very humane way. And I compliment him on that. But he really – Jordan has done an amazing job of housing largely Palestinians. And he’s done it in a very successful way.”

Trump added, “I said to him, ‘I’d love you to take on more.’ Because I’m looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now, and it’s a mess. It’s a real mess.”

The president also noted he’d like “Egypt to take people” and would talk the following day with Egyptian President Abdulfattah al-Sisi. Egyptian media reported Tuesday there has not been a discussion between the two leaders.

Trump then spoke specifics about removing some three quarters of Gaza’s population, though it wasn’t entirely clear if he thought he was talking about the entire population. “You’re talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing.”

Winging it, he acknowledged ignorance. “And I don’t know. It’s something [that] has to happen, but it’s literally a demolition site right now. Almost everything is demolished, and people are dying there. So, I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations and build housing at a different location where they can maybe live in peace for a change.”

Asked if this would be temporary, Trump responded, “It could be temporarily, could be long term.”

Rather than asking the obvious question about ethnic cleansing, the next journalist then pivoted to artificial intelligence.

Later, the conversation did return to Trump releasing to Israel 2,000-pound bombs paused by the Biden administration. Asked why, Trump said, “Because they bought them.”

There was no discussion about how Israel had previously used those bombs against Palestinian men, women and children in their homes to deadly effect.

This is not an adversarial press, but one that too readily concedes ground rather than challenges Trump on ethnic cleansing and American allies using American weaponry to commit serious human rights violations, including genocide.

Trump’s casual talk of ethnic cleansing received quick support from former Israeli national security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir who euphemistically refers to it as Palestinians leaving on a “voluntary” basis.

Ben-Gvir tweeted: “I commend US President Trump for the initiative to transfer residents from Gaza to Jordan and Egypt. One of our demands from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is to promote voluntary emigration. When the president of the world’s greatest superpower, Trump, personally brings up this idea, it is worth the Israeli government implementing it – promote emigration now!”

Finance minister Bezalel Smotrich also took up the ethnic cleansing idea, though he did not mention Trump in his tweet. “After 76 years in which most of the population of Gaza was held by force under harsh conditions to maintain the ambition to destroy the state of Israel, the idea of helping them find other places to start a new, good life is a great idea. After years of sanctifying terror, they will be able to establish a new, good life elsewhere.”

Smotrich did cite Trump while speaking to journalists about developing an “operational plan” to turn the president’s words into reality.

He claimed: “There is nothing to be excited about the weak opposition of Egypt and Jordan to the plan. We saw yesterday how Trump [imposed his will on] Colombia to deport immigrants despite its opposition. When he wants it, it happens.”

Unsurprisingly, as Smotrich indicates, both Jordanian and Egyptian officials reject Trump’s rhetorical broadside. Alarmingly, CNN reports that “Amit Segal, an analyst with Israeli network Channel 12 News, cited Israeli officials and reported Trump’s move was ‘not a slip of the tongue but part of a much broader move than it seems, coordinated with Israel.’”

If Segal’s claim is true, this is something to watch closely in the weeks ahead and at the Trump-Netanyahu meeting next week. Even before the inauguration, an official in the presidential transition also raised Indonesia as one of the locations to which Palestinians could be moved – meaning ethnically cleansed.

In response to a question from The Electronic Intifada asking why Trump wants Palestinians to go to Jordan and Egypt rather than to homes and lands in Israel that they were expelled from in 1948, a State Department spokesperson in bold letters responded: “We aren’t going to comment on the president’s comments. We refer you to the White House.”

It’s noteworthy the State Department is already so hollowed out by Trump that it can’t even reject ethnic cleansing. Of course, Biden’s State Department was similarly inept, even cruel, when questioned about its policies toward Israel and Palestinians in Gaza.

Al Mezan, a human rights group in Gaza, also raised the right of return rather than ethnic cleansing. “Instead of advancing or supporting actions that blatantly breach international law, the international community must commit to its enforcement by ensuring the realization of the inalienable right of Palestinian refugees – who form over 70 percent of Gaza’s total population – to return to their ancestral homes and lands from which they were forcibly expelled in 1948 by Zionist militias and the Israeli military.”

The human rights organization welcomed “the statements made by Jordan, Egypt, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, which firmly reject any proposals or calls for the forcible transfer of Palestinians from Gaza.”

With Palestinians being denied movement north the day of Trump’s remarks, I harbored profound concerns about the plans of Trump and Netanyahu. But Palestinians moved north on Monday amid remarkable scenes of resilience and celebration, even as many knew they were likely to find ruins – courtesy of Netanyahu and President Joe Biden – where once their houses had stood.
Mitchell Plitnick at Mondoweiss points out that Trump may view Gaza as a “massive real estate swindle.” Trump’s ambiguous words earlier in the month – “some beautiful things can be done with [Gaza]” – certainly hint at that possibility and the return of illegal settlements.

Admittedly, this is reading the worst fears into his comments based on his settler-colonial inclinations as demonstrated in his first term with his colonizing actions on the Golan Heights and Jerusalem. Palestinians going north would seemingly allay those concerns, but Trump is anything but consistent, veering wildly from idea to idea.

Trump, it bears repeating, often voices the views of those he’s most recently heard from on a subject. This raises the concern that Trump is getting wretched advice.

For the moment, however, it seems Trump – who is now closely associated with the ceasefire – may make sickening comments, but still want to see at least the first stage of the ceasefire succeed.

Indeed, Trump repeated his remarks on Monday, again aboard Air Force One. He maintained that he would “like to get [Palestinians from Gaza] living in an area where they can live without disruption and revolution and violence so much.”

Trump also noted, “When you look at the Gaza Strip, it’s been hell for so many years.”

Then, weakly attempting to demonstrate his grasp of Gaza’s history though without saying a word about the 1948 Nakba and dispossession of Palestinians to Gaza, he said: “There have been various civilizations on that strip. It didn’t start here. It started thousands of years before, and there’s always been violence associated with it. You could get people living in areas that are a lot safer and maybe a lot better and maybe a lot more comfortable.”

Repeating standard American government racism about the region, Trump added: “I wish [al-Sisi] would take some. We helped them a lot, and I’m sure he’d help us. He’s a friend of mine. He’s in … a rough neighbourhood. But I think he would do it, and I think the king of Jordan would do it too.”

Even as Palestinians continue to move north, Trump’s willingness to repeat the threat is alarming as other leaders have buckled to the president’s threats previously. Ethnic cleansing, however, is on a whole different scale.

Senator Bernie Sanders did take the president to task and name Trump’s words appropriately. “There is a name for this – ethnic cleansing – and it’s a war crime,” Sanders tweeted.

Unwinding the ceasefire, as Ben-Gvir and Smotrich want, and forcing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians south again – and perhaps into Egypt – might surpass the viciousness of the past 15 months. Yet Palestinian determination to remain rooted to the land and return to northern Gaza has, for now, carried the day.
    Déjà vu

There was a lot of rightful teeth-gnashing over the callous way Trump engaged with the idea of ethnic cleansing against a people that already endured the 1948 Nakba, but it certainly has a recent precedent.

The Biden administration also entertained the idea, just minus the rough edges of Trump. As Trump has, the Biden administration faced similar regional pushback.

Less than a week into the onslaught, as Secretary of State Antony Blinken prepared to fly to Israel, a journalist questioned him on the tarmac about “civilian safe passage” to Egypt.

That exchange is worth citing in full.

Journalist: “Mr Secretary, yesterday, [Biden’s national security adviser] Jake Sullivan said that US officials were talking to the Israelis about getting civilian safe passage through Gaza into Egypt. Today, [White House spokesperson] John Kirby said they’re still talking to officials about this. What is the holdup? What’s the obstacle to getting civilian safe passage out of Gaza?”

Blinken: “We are talking about that. We’re talking to Israel about that. We’re talking to Egypt about that. It’s an ongoing conversation. I can’t get into the details. Some of this is needless to say and understandably complicated, but we want to make sure to the best of our ability and I know Israel wants to make sure to the best of its ability that civilians are not harmed. But Israel has to take steps to defend itself. It has to make sure that any ongoing threat is dealt with and I believe it has to make sure that going forward what happened doesn’t happen again.”

Journalist: “Is the issue more on the Israeli side?”

Blinken: “I’m not going to get into the details, but it’s an ongoing conversation.”

Blinken is more refined in his language than the crass Trump, but he’s talking ethnic cleansing – at the very least to Egypt – in his comments. He’s just far too diplomatic to spell it out in all its ugliness.

With Blinken working this possibility, it’s clear that Biden was also giving initial support.

Yes, the Biden administration did shift away from the idea. And Trump may do the same, effectively moving in that direction with the surge of Palestinian refugees north. Both leaders certainly heard from regional leaders that ethnic cleansing to their countries would be an exceptionally bad and unacceptable idea.
What remains different for now is that Biden provided weaponry for a genocide. Trump is providing weapons, but in the midst of a ceasefire. The obvious danger is the 2,000-pound bombs will be employed later.

For the moment, however, the president remains invested in a ceasefire that he has bragged about on social media.

Trump adhering to the ceasefire remains a positive sign. His promotion of ethnic cleansing, however, even if just rhetoric at the moment, is extremely worrisome for the future, as are the champions of “Judea and Samaria” he is putting forward to represent the US at the United Nations and in Israel.

These are warning signals of how quickly Trump could allow the situation in both Gaza and the West Bank to deteriorate.

Mass Walkout as ‘Global Pariah’ Netanyahu Addresses UN General Assembly

    Common Dreams reports:

A large number of diplomats and other officials walked out of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City on Friday as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepared to defend his nation’s slaughter of more than 41,000 people in the Gaza Strip during the past year and over 700 in Lebanon this week.

Journalists and critics of the “global pariah” shared photos and videos of people filing out of the hall before Netanyahu’s address—which came just a day after 25 anti-genocide protesters were arrested for blocking his motorcade in Manhattan.

While there was some audience applause from the sparsely populated room on Friday, Al Jazeera Arabic’s Rami Ayari explained that “the people you hear cheering the PM during the speech are in the gallery who he brought for that purpose.”

Netanyahu began his Friday address by taking aim at the world leaders who throughout the week have condemned the recent escalation against Hezbollah in Lebanon as well as the past year of Israeli forces bombing and starving Palestinians in Gaza.

“I didn’t intend to come here this year. My country is at war fighting for its life,” Netanyahu said. “But, after I heard the lies and slanders leveled at my country by many of the speakers standing at this podium, I decided to come here and set the record straight.”

Armed with more of his infamous maps of the Middle East, the right-wing leader went on to claim that “Israel seeks peace,” while also pledging to wage war on Hamas-governed Gaza until “total victory” and telling “the tyrants of Tehran” that “if you strike us, we will strike you.”

Noting that Netanyahu also spoke of “savage enemies who seek to destroy our common civilization,” James Zogby, co-founder and president of the Arab American Institute, said: “Words spoken by the man who has been charged with genocide and crimes against humanity. This is a disgrace. Abusing the General Assembly platform to lie and incite.”

JEWISH NEWS SYNDICATE (JNS) ADDS: Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. envoy to the global body, and Robert Wood, the political special affairs ambassador who tends to take her place at the Security Council, did not appear to be in the room.

An excerpt from Netanyahu’s defiant speech to the UN – to a largely empty chamber, except for the guest area, which was filled with Israel supporters:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also declared,

I say to you, until Israel – until the Jewish state – is treated like other nations, until this anti-Semitic swamp is drained, the UN will be viewed by fair-minded people everywhere as nothing more than a contemptuous farce.

Popularity of Netanyahu’s Likud party grows as Israel pounds Lebanon: Survey

    Al Jazeera reports:

A poll conducted by Israeli daily Maariv shows that Israel’s deadly attacks on Lebanon have significantly boosted the popularity of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party.

If elections were held today, Likud would lead with 25 seats in the Knesset, compared with 19 for its main rival, the opposition National Unity party led by Benny Gantz, the survey showed.

This is the first time since the war on Gaza began last year that Likud has gained such an advantage, the newspaper said.

Blinken faces calls to resign after lying to Congress to cover for Israel’s genocide

    Middle East Monitor reports:

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is facing mounting pressure to resign after a report earlier this week uncovered that he misled Congress about Israel’s obstruction of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

The 62-year-old, who is a staunch Zionist, is said to have misled the American people to maintain US weapons flow to Israel despite fears that the apartheid state is committing genocide in Gaza.

The report details how Blinken contradicted findings from his own department’s experts and USAID in a May report to Congress, stating that Israel was not “prohibiting or otherwise restricting the transport or delivery of US humanitarian assistance” to Gaza.

It’s believed that Blinken misled the government because US law prohibits the supply of arms to countries blocking American humanitarian aid.

Israel is a small country lacking the means to manufacture weapons at a rate required to execute regular wars and preserve its so-called deterrence capacity.

Israel’s ability to carry out a year-long assault on Gaza would be severely hampered without the constant supply of weapons from the US and its western allies.

US to ‘adjust’ its military force posture in Middle East

    Al Jazeera reports:

President Joe Biden directed the Pentagon to “assess and adjust as necessary US force posture” in the Middle East, the White House says, following repeated Israeli air strikes in southern Beirut collapsed at least six residential towers in the heavily populated Dahiyeh area.

“He has directed the Pentagon to assess and adjust as necessary US force posture in the region to enhance deterrence, ensure force protection, and support the full range of US objectives,” the White House said in a statement.

Secretary of State Blinken said Friday, “I want to be clear that anyone using this moment to target American personnel, American interests in the region – the United States will take every measure to defend our people.”

MILITARY TIMES ADDS: The U.S. has kept an increased military presence in the Middle East throughout much of the past year, with about 40,000 forces, at least a dozen warships and four Air Force fighter jet squadrons spread across the region both to protect allies and to serve as a deterrent against attacks, several U.S. officials said.

Israel accused of breaking global labor law by withholding Palestinian worker pay

    The Guardian reports:

Ten trade unions have accused Israel of breaching international labor law by holding back pay and benefits from more than 200,000 Palestinian workers since 7 October.

The Israeli government stands accused of “blatant” violations of the International Labor Organization’s (ILO) protection of wages convention, tipping many Palestinians into extreme poverty.

Workers from Gaza and the West Bank, employed in Israel, did not receive payment for work completed prior to last October 7th, and have received no wages since, according to the complaint.

A complaint filed on Friday aims to recover the wages of Palestinian workers who previously worked in Israel.

Israel revoked work permits for about 13,000 Palestinian workers from the Gaza Strip to work legally in Israel following the Hamas attack on 7 October, according to the complaint, leaving those workers with unpaid wages from September and October. Those wages would have normally been paid on 9 October.

An additional nearly 200,000 Palestinian workers from the West Bank employed in Israel have not been permitted to enter Israel, and have received no termination notices, according to the brief, which argues they are owed wages stipulated by their employment contracts for their previous work and subsequent months.

The unions allege that Israel is violating the ILO’s protection of wages convention, which has been ratified by a hundred member states, including Israel in 1959…

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday called for path to diplomacy as Israel intensified its strikes in Lebanon, warning both Israel and Hezbollah to “stop firing”.

“The most important thing to do through diplomacy is to try first to stop firing in both directions, and then to use the time that we would have in such a ceasefire to see if we can reach a broader diplomatic agreement,” Blinken told reporters at a news conference on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York.

“The path to diplomacy may seem difficult to see at this moment, but it is there, and in our judgment, is necessary, and we will continue to work intensely with all parties to urge them to choose that course,” he said.

NOTE: Blinken’s both-sides-ism sidesteps the facts: Israel has been responsible for about 82 percent of the cross-border attacks.

Google Was Set to Host an Israeli Military Conference. When We Asked About It, the Event Disappeared.

    The Intercept reports:

The Israel Defense Tech Conference, aimed at tech companies working with the Israeli military, was scheduled for November at the Google for Startups campus in Tel Aviv.

The event, according to a listing posted on the event management app Luma, was pitched at “founders, investors and innovators” looking to network and learn more about the defense tech space.

It was co-sponsored by Google; Fusion Venture Capital; Genesis, a startup accelerator; and the Israeli military’s research and development arm, known as the Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D, or Ma’fat).

Google was not only listed as the physical host of the event and one of its sponsors, but the event listing also included a notice that attendees “approve of sharing [their] details with the organizers (Fusion & Google)” as part of signing up.

When The Intercept contacted Google and the other companies and venture capital firms on the event page, the event page disappeared. Google spokesperson Andréa Willis told The Intercept in an email, “Google is not associated with this event.”

Willis did not respond when asked how this could be possible if Google is hosting and co-sponsoring the event, or why the event page went down. None of the other companies or venture capital firms on the event page responded to requests for comment.

After months of sustained protests against Google’s relationship with Israel, the company appears to be trying to muddy that relationship, at least in the public eye, while continuing its collaboration with the Israeli military…

These data are supported by independent analyses, comparing changes in the number of deaths of UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) staff with those reported by the Ministry, which found claims of data fabrication implausible.]

This is expected to be a significant undercount since thousands of those killed have yet to be identified – and at least 718 in the West Bank (~148 children). This does not include an estimated 10,000 more still buried under rubble (4,900 women and children). Euro-Med Monitor reports 49,032 Palestinian deaths.

Lancet: “Applying a conservative estimate of four indirect deaths per one direct death9 to the 37,396 deaths reported, it is not implausible to estimate that up to 186 000 or even more deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza.

Ralph Nader earlier estimated 300,000 Palestinians may have been killed in Gaza.

At least 45 Palestinians have died in Israeli prisons (27 from Gaza, 23 from West Bank).
At least 41 Palestinians have died due to malnutrition (at least 37 of them children)**.
About 1.9 million of Gaza’s 2.3 million population are currently displaced.
Almost 500,000 Gazans are currently experiencing catastrophic levels of food insecurity.
Palestinian injuries from October 7 – September 27: at least 101,910 (including at least 96,210 in Gaza and 5,700 in the West Bank, including 830 children). [It remains unknown how many Americans are among the casualties in Gaza.]

Reported Israeli death toll from October 7, 2023 – September 27, 2024: ~1,457 (~1,139 on October 7, 2023, of which ~32 were Americans, and ~36 were children); 293*** military forces since the ground invasion began in Gaza; 25 military and civilians in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Israel) and~10,000 injured.

The death toll from Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon since Oct. 8 has reached 1,540 including women and children, with some 5,410 injured, a Lebanese official said Wednesday. The number of displaced individuals registered in approved shelters is 77,100. The actual number of displaced people has likely surpassed 250,000.

NOTE: It is unknown at this time how many of the deaths and injuries of Israelis on October 7 were caused by Israeli soldiers.

*Previously, IAK did not include 471 Gazans killed in the Al Ahli hospital blast since the source of the projectile was being disputed. However, given that much evidence points to Israel as the culprit, Israel had previously bombed the hospital and has attacked many others, Israel is prohibiting outside experts from investigating the scene, and since the UN and other agencies are including the deaths from the attack in their cumulative totals, if Americans knew is now also doing so.

**Euro-Med Monitor reports that Gaza’s elderly are dying at an alarmingly high rate. The majority die at home and are buried either close to their residences or in makeshift graves dispersed across the Strip. There are currently more than 140 such cemeteries. Additionally, according to Euromed, thousands have died from starvation, malnourishment, and inadequate medical care; these are considered indirect victims as they were not registered in hospitals.

***More than 40 of the deaths listed above were Israeli soldiers killed by Hezbollah in fighting at the Israel-Lebanon border. The figure does not include the reportedly 53 Israeli soldiers – nearly 16% of the total Israeli military deaths – killed due to friendly fire in Gaza and other military-related accidents.

† For most of the conflict, women and children accounted for about 70% of deaths in Gaza, with children making up a little over 40% of those killed, according to official statistics.

Journalists and critics of the “global pariah” shared photos and videos of people filing out of the hall before Netanyahu’s address—which came just a day after 25 anti-genocide protesters were arrested for blocking his motorcade in Manhattan. While there was some audience applause from the sparsely populated room on Friday, Al Jazeera Arabic’s Rami Ayari explained that “the people you hear cheering the PM during the speech are in the gallery who he brought for that purpose.” Netanyahu began his Friday address by taking aim at the world leaders who throughout the week have condemned the recent escalation against Hezbollah in Lebanon as well as the past year of Israeli forces bombing and starving Palestinians in Gaza. “I didn’t intend to come here this year. My country is at war fighting for its life,” Netanyahu said. “But, after I heard the lies and slanders leveled at my country by many of the speakers standing at this podium, I decided to come here and set the record straight.” Armed with more of his infamous maps of the Middle East, the right-wing leader went on to claim that “Israel seeks peace,” while also pledging to wage war on Hamas-governed Gaza until “total victory” and telling “the tyrants of Tehran” that “if you strike us, we will strike you.” Noting that Netanyahu also spoke of “savage enemies who seek to destroy our common civilization,” James Zogby, co-founder and president of the Arab American Institute, said: “Words spoken by the man who has been charged with genocide and crimes against humanity. This is a disgrace. Abusing the General Assembly platform to lie and incite.” JEWISH NEWS SYNDICATE (JNS) ADDS: Linda Thomas-Greenfield, the U.S. envoy to the global body, and Robert Wood, the political special affairs ambassador who tends to take her place at the Security Council, did not appear to be in the room. An excerpt from Netanyahu’s defiant speech to the UN – to a largely empty chamber, except for the guest area, which was filled with Israel supporters: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also declared, I say to you, until Israel – until the Jewish state – is treated like other nations, until this anti-Semitic swamp is drained, the UN will be viewed by fair-minded people everywhere as nothing more than a contemptuous farce. Popularity of Netanyahu’s Likud party grows as Israel pounds Lebanon: Survey Al Jazeera reports: A poll conducted by Israeli daily Maariv shows that Israel’s deadly attacks on Lebanon have significantly boosted the popularity of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party. Blinken faces calls to resign after lying to Congress to cover for Israel’s genocide Middle East Monitor reports: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is facing mounting pressure to resign after a report earlier this week uncovered that he misled Congress about Israel’s obstruction of humanitarian aid to Gaza. (Read the full article here.) Secretary of State Blinken said Friday, “I want to be clear that anyone using this moment to target American personnel, American interests in the region – the United States will take every measure to defend our people.” MILITARY TIMES ADDS: The U.S. has kept an increased military presence in the Middle East throughout much of the past year, with about 40,000 forces, at least a dozen warships and four Air Force fighter jet squadrons spread across the region both to protect allies and to serve as a deterrent against attacks, several U.S. officials said. The unions allege that Israel is violating the ILO’s protection of wages convention, which has been ratified by a hundred member states, including Israel in 1959… (Read the full article here.) • JUST A MINUTE PLEASE !(THE PREACHER'S CORNER)

CHRIST JESUS WASN'T KIDDING ON OUR LOVE GETTING COLD AT THE END TIMES! [REV.2:4]

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (Rev 2: 4)

I think a good question will be how we lose our first Love and grow cold in the End Times?

We have spoken a lot on Christ Jesus' return . It has not happened yet; it’s yet to come in the future. When? We don't really don't know (even as people continue to set false dates). But what is certain is that the signs HE GAVE US AS A HINT TO HIS UNPUBLISHED RETURN ARE ALL AROUND US TODAY. EVEN IF WE DENY THEM,WE DO SO AT OUR RISK. AND ONE OF THE MOST COMMON OF THE HINTS IS *OUR LOVE GROWING COLD!* WE WANT TO LOOK AT IT.

Now please remember again,we are all in this together. Whatever I say applies to me too, though I always pray that these don't stand as judgement against me,when I get to meet our FATHER,I think it should be your prayer too...and it can only come about our obedience not as card carrying Christians but as Children of the Most High God.

    Now in Matt.24:12, Christ Jesus Himself broach the subject;
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Mat 24: 12)

    And our ever serious Paul made a reference to it when admonishing his son in the Lord, Timothy;

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2Ti 3: 1)

Undoubtedly, it's happening around us... perilous times (when there will be no brother's keeper). Then the rules of the jungle takeover "survival of the fittest!"

    HOW IT ALL BEGAN.

Christ Jesus had just looked at the temple in Jerusalem and said, “Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down” (Matthew 24:2). And then the disciples asked him, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3).

Now,that particular event our Lord referred to has come and gone, when He wept that Jerusalem didn't know the time of its visitation (may it not be our portion) That event took place around 70 AD.

But we missed out something, most of us that think that event is the end times spoken about. There is a phrase there *end of the age* This refers to the phase of history that we are in right now that will culminate in the ending with the coming of Christ Jesus ,not as SAVIOUR anymore but as JUDGE in judgment, separating the sheep and the goats, raising the dead. We know that because of the way the phrase is used in Matthew 13:39–43, where Jesus interprets the parable of the weeds like this:

The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. Just as the weeds are gathered and burned with fire, so will it be at the end of the age. The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers, and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears, let him hear.

    But the disciples couldn't get the full picture,and so continued to ask for more understanding. And it wasn't permitted to name the year, month,week,day or time. So, Christ Jesus gave another clue;

Many will come in my name, saying, “I am the Christ,” and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the END IS NOT YET. (Matthew 24:5–6)

“Hate is the final outcome of hypocritical love — just the shell of love where the warmth has gone out.”
So, Christ Jesus says, “THE END IS NOT YET.”
Christ Jesus has the end in view, but He warns them that there’s going to be SOME TIME LAPSE HERE. It’s not the very end yet. The end is not yet. These things will be happening on the way to the end. This will be your experience leading up to the end. Then Christ Jesus adds, “All these are but the BEGINNING OF THE BIRTH PAINS” (Matthew 24:8), to make clear that there is some time lapse before the end. This is the beginning of the birth pangs. They will last for some unspecified time, and then there will be the END OF THE BIRTH PANGS AS THE NEW ORDER IS BROUGHT TO BIRTH.

THEN TO THE FIRST LOVE GROWING COLD!
    Hear Christ Jesus again;

And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because LAWLESSNESS Will BE INCREASED, THE LOVE OF MANY WILL GROW COLD. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, AND THEN THE END WILL COME. (Matthew 24:10–14)

SO HOW DOES LOVE GROW COLD AND THE SIGNS?

Cold love is the opposite of warm familial affection.
For example, in Genesis 43:30, when Joseph was about to reveal his identity to his brothers, it says, “Joseph hurried out, for his compassion grew warm for his brother, and he sought a place to weep.” We see the same thing in Hosea 11:8. God says to Israel, “How can I give you up, O Ephraim? . . . My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender.”

So, cold love is the shell of love that has lost its inner familial warmth.

    Cold love betrays.
The effect of this coldness is that brother betrays brother. Matthew 24:10, “Then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.” That hate is the final outcome of hypocritical love — just the shell of love where the warmth has gone out, and ice has come in, and the upshot is no longer just hypocritical love but rather hate that betrays brother to brother.

    Cold love results from lawlessness.
Christ Jesus says that the reason for this upsurge of cold, hypocritical love that eventually betrays a brother is owing to the increase of lawlessness. Matthew 24:12, “Because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.” That’s worth thinking about, because you might want to turn it around like this: “Because love grew cold, there’s a lot of lawlessness.” The root of this growing coldness of love in the church toward each other is a deep hostility to authority. That’s a plausible interpretation of lawlessness: a deep hostility to authority, especially God’s authority. That’s what lawlessness is, at root. “I will not submit to law from outside my sovereign self. I’m not going to yield to authority anymore.”
WHY DO YOU THINK PASTORS ARE FIGHTING ONE ANOTHER FROM THEIR PULPITS AND THE SOCIAL MEDIA? THE FIRST LOVE HAS DIED,NOT ONLY GROWN COLD... IT'S WHY LAWLESSNESS THRIVES IN OUR PULPITS TURNED PODIUMS.

Now, to use the language of Paul, the church becomes infected with “the mind of the flesh” rather than “the mind of the Spirit”:

The mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. [That’s lawlessness.] Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. (Romans 8:7–8)

The upsurge of lawlessness is the upsurge of self, the mind of the flesh over God, the insubordinate, “I will not submit,” stiff-necked self. And Paul speaks directly to this lawlessness in 2 Thessalonians 2 in relation to the second coming. He says that a GREAT APOSTASY MUST COME BEFORE THE END, along with “the MAN OF LAWLESSNESS” (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Make that connection between Matthew 24 and 2 Thessalonians 2.

ISN'T THIS WHAT'S CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN OUR PULPITS (ESPECIALLY IN NIGERIA CURRENTLY?) HAVE WE NOT NOTICED THE THREADS OF THE APOSTASY PAUL SPOKE OF?

The mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Christ Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. (2 Thessalonians 2:7–8)

So, just when anti-authoritarian lawlessness inside and outside the church seems to be reaching its fevered peak in history, Christ Jesus will step forward and return on the clouds, and there will be a great reversal.

    Cold love must be combatted.
How can we prevent coldness of love from taking over our own hearts. Since cold love, Christ Jesus says, comes from the increase of lawlessness, we must fight upstream, so to speak, from the river of love. We’ve got to get up there to the springs. We must fight against arrogance and pride and self-sufficiency — that is, against the spirit of lawlessness in our hearts that says, “I will not submit. I don’t like people telling me what to do, least of all an omnipotent God.”

Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. (Rev 2: 4)

“The root of growing coldness of love in the church toward each other is a deep hostility to authority.”
Lawlessness means we want to be our own law. We don’t want anybody — especially an Infallible, Omnipotent God — telling us what to do. We want to create our own meaning, create our own identity, create our own rules. And when this happens, we have cut ourselves off from Christ Jesus and from the Holy Spirit — and therefore from love.

Let me end with the way Hebrews 10:24–25 exhorts us in view of the second coming:

Let us consider how to stir up one another to love and do good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
May these words minister to our hearts in Christ Jesus' Name Amen! ,!

(Rev 2: 4) I think a good question will be how we lose our first Love and grow cold in the End Times? Now in Matt.24:12, Christ Jesus Himself broach the subject; And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. (Mat 24: 12) And our ever serious Paul made a reference to it when admonishing his son in the Lord, Timothy; This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. (2Ti 3: 1) Undoubtedly, it's happening around us... perilous times (when there will be no brother's keeper). Then the rules of the jungle takeover "survival of the fittest!" HOW IT ALL BEGAN. We know that because of the way the phrase is used in Matthew 13:39–43, where Jesus interprets the parable of the weeds like this: The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. But the disciples couldn't get the full picture, and so continued to ask for more understanding. And it wasn't permitted to name the year, month, week, day or time. So, Christ Jesus gave another clue; Many will come in my name, saying, “I am the Christ,” and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the END IS NOT YET. (Matthew 24:5–6) “Hate is the final outcome of hypocritical love — just the shell of love where the warmth has gone out.” So, Christ Jesus says, “THE END IS NOT YET.” Christ Jesus has the end in view, but He warns them that there’s going to be SOME TIME LAPSE HERE. Hear Christ Jesus again; And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. (Matthew 24:10–14) SO HOW DOES LOVE GROW COLD AND THE SIGNS? πŸ‘‰Cold love is the opposite of warm familial affection. For example, in Genesis 43:30, when Joseph was about to reveal his identity to his brothers, it says, “Joseph hurried out, for his compassion grew warm for his brother, and he sought a place to weep.” We see the same thing in Hosea 11:8. God says to Israel, “How can I give you up, O Ephraim? . . . My heart recoils within me; my compassion grows warm and tender.” So, cold love is the shell of love that has lost its inner familial warmth. πŸ‘‰Cold love betrays. The effect of this coldness is that brother betrays brother. Matthew 24:10, “Then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.” That hate is the final outcome of hypocritical love — just the shell of love where the warmth has gone out, and ice has come in, and the upshot is no longer just hypocritical love but rather hate that betrays brother to brother. πŸ‘‰Cold love results from lawlessness. • THAT I MAY KNOW HIM! [PHP. 3:10]

NOT ALL THAT GLITTERS IS GOLD!
    [REV.3:17-18]
    ************************************
    Once again, welcome brethrens!

    17. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
    18. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. (Rev 3: 17-18)

The scripture above isn't new, even to the average believer.
YET AGAIN, I NEED TO STRESS HERE AS I ALWAYS SAY THAT THE MESSAGE IS FOR US ALL...I MAY BE WORSE THAN ALL! BUT WE ALL NEED TO RESIST THE DEVIL AND HIS SUBTLETY.

Having said that, undoubtedly, even the most ignorant knows that we are not in the best of times. Even moreso for us in Christendom, for both pure and social sciences have evidently indicated that we are really fast approaching an unprecedented universal timeline. Of course, our compass as believers (God's Word), clearly proves we are in the last lap of the last church..yet, how long the last lap is, only God can determine.

    14. And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
    15. I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
    16. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
(Rev 3: 14-18)

The church has NEVER be more and proud than now.. the Laodicean church character. Today, wealth is seen as righteousness in churches, thus the lowly are sidelined.
    5. Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. 6. But godliness with contentment is great gain. (1Ti 6: 5-6)

Pastors are fighting one another from their pulpits, meant to deliver God's expectations from His Children. Instead, they've been turned into podiums where each tries to prove and establish his scriptural superiority and whose level of anointing is more or heavier. ONE WAS EVEN TRYING TO PROVE THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO BE A CHRISTIAN TO MAKE HEAVEN, BECAUSE GOD WASN'T A CHRISTIAN.
And of course,SO MANY would be glad to hear that from a supposed God's general(name withheld)! That's how far we have come as Christians and believers.

The average christian's heart is set on mundanity. It's generally acclaimed and accepted that these highly rich and affluent churches are already topping the list of *SAINTS*.
Remember, those serving Satan are also rewarded, even if with pain. In the scriptures, none serve satan, without an everlasting injury or scar. We saw the ends of many such as Ahab,Jezebel, Ephraim losing his God given coveted position to Manasseh, but even the most painful being that of King Solomon's converting God's blessing into idolatry.

Even in the New Testament,we saw how Herod died on the spot and eaten up by worms after being slapped by God's angel, Judas hanging himself,Simon the sorcerer becoming blind untill he was prayed for. Saul who became Pauland many scribes such as Nicodemus were pursuing the devil's urgings until God had mercy and brought them in and became poor physically, but rich spiritually... extremely rich spiritually, BECAUSE TRUE WEALTH IS WHEN YOU'VE CHRIST JESUS IN YOU.

(Pro.10:22)! Only God's blessings addeth no sorrow.
The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. (1Sa 2: 7)
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them. (1Sa 2: 8)
He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. (1Sa 2: 9)

Thus,it certainly reeks of over confidence for our itchy eyed pastors who still feel unconcerned or probably thinking we are WRONG by SEEKING THEIR BACKTRACKING FROM THE IMMINENT DANGER AHEAD.

And as such,we are labeled with every known and unknown expletives they can lay hands on( personally,my drum of derogatory names is so filled, that I have developed a * thick skin*, by HIS GRACE alone).

    2. Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
    3. Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
    4. For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
    5. But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
    6. And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth. (Job 11: 2-8)

Please, let us remember where we are coming from, and where we are going to,THE END WILL NEVER JUSTIFY THE MEANS. GOD'S WORD WILL ALWAYS STAND,FOR HE HONOURS HIS WORD ABOVE HIS NAME.(PS 138:2)!

    THE ALLURES AND THE TRAPPINGS OF THIS WORLD HAS TURNED MANY A MAN AND WOMAN, FROM GOD. THE DEVIL SEEKS ALWAYS TO BLIND OUR HEARTS FROM WHAT GOD HAS IN STORE FOR HIS OWN;

Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert, and be healed. (Isa 6: 10)

In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2Co 4: 4)

    But I boldly stand here with confidence to declare that;
    8. Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
    9. But as it is written, EYES HATH NOT SEEN, NOR EAR HEARD NEITHER HAVE entered into the HEART of man, the things which God hath PREPARED for them that love HIM.
    10. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. (1Co 2: 8-10)

  • THAT I MAY KNOW HIM !(Phil.3:10)

Theme: The Call To Righteousness (1Cor.15:34)!

Earlier on today, I minced no words when I said I seem to be losing it over happenings in my, *CONSTITUENCY,THE CHURCH!* I may be in pains(personal),but the pains of a believer who is aware of the Ever Precious , priceless and prizeless Blood splashed on the Cross of Calvary by Christ Jesus to establish the church, will be much more agonizing when we notice the evils prevalent in the church and either seemed to be unconcerned or put our confidence in the wrong basket. We abandoned our duty posts believers

    WHILE MEN (GOD'S SHEPHERDS) SLEPT ! (Isa.29:1-12,Matt.13:25)

    9. Stay yourselves, and wonder; cry ye out, and cry: they are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.
    10. For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. (Isa 29: 9-10)
THIS IS A SIGN OF GOD'S DISPLEASURE WITH US

Still on my Constituency"The Church of Christ", God has never hidden His Purpose for His Church;HE desire a people to fellowship with and have pleasure in. That's why HE made man in HIS image, unlike angels who are to HIM (permit my expression), the way "Robots" are to man! Unfortunately, man disappointed HIM, but HE wasn't ready to allow Lucifer to scuttle HIS plans for man! Thus, the Church is HIS "Instrument" for achieving that purpose. In Rev.4:11,we are told God created us for HIS own pleasure!

But the devil has consistently sought to undermine God's Intention,by subtly and cunningly diverting man's gaze from the"CROSS"to mundane aspirations. And the ignorantly willing tools are the "SHEPHERDS" of the "CHURCH"! Satan has so far been largely successful by creating a replica (look alike), for every God's provision or institution,eg, Moses' and Pharoah's snakes. But the GOOD NEWS is; just as Moses' one SNAKE swallowed the other snakes,in likewise manner, shall God continue to humiliate Satan until his final eternal sentencing to the highly scorching flames of hell!

Back to the issue at hand; the SLEEPING SHEPHERDS .David outlined to us in a succinct picture, the model of a shepherd, most especially God's Shepherd. An ideal shepherd is the one who provides, protects and preserves his sheep from all forms of danger and destruction.Of course,he demonstrated it when he rescued his sheep from a bear and a lion.In John's Gospel, chapter ten(10:1-end)our Lord Jesus portrayed HIMSELF as the Good Shepherd, and of course, you can't find a better example.

Now Israel (the church) was(is) the sheep of God, and He employed their Shepherds to care for them(not even from their qualifications but availability

In Isa.56:10-12, God says, even of our "today's church";yes He says"His watchmen are blind, they're all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark, sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber,VS 11, Yeah, they're greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they're shepherds that can never understand;they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter!

I make bold to say it with conviction, because I have witnessed it (though in utter dismay);if you see two, three or more pastors sitted discussing today, it's a 100% bet, their talk is centred on their material achievements,eg, the cathedrals they're erecting or have erected, the various senior government officials they relating and having dinners and projects with; absolutely nothing about how to clear the mess that you find in the church today. This is the sole reason why you discover in 99.9% of church altars today, that their pulpits have been converted to podiums (for motivations (the secrets of success)and campaigns)! Shocking, isn't it? And those among the"SEVEN THOUSAND", that dare reprimand them are labeled either overzealous or retrogressives !

In all sincerity, can you say that the state of the world hasn't surpassed the wickedness of Noah's era? With all the bestiality even right at the altar of God, can we pretend and say we've not exceeded Sodom and Gomorrah? Where are God's watchmen? Where are HIS shepherds? They like Eli, have all gone to sleep!

They're busy building edifices and hob-nobbing with the powers that be.Salvation and Evangelism are no more top priority, but how big and beautiful the"Cathredals"are! Sadly, really sadly, emphasis is now on the various number of secrets to success, materialism and mundane perquisites.Yes and painfully so, the pulpits and pews are drowned the pursuit of miracles, and not SALVATION.We hear only sermons on how the"perceived enemies"will die!
MAY GOD HELP US, we are equally someone's else enemy, also praying the same prayer of GOD Kill our enemies.

We abandoned our duty posts believers WHILE MEN (GOD'S SHEPHERDS) SLEPT ! (Isa.29:1-12,Matt.13:25) ✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️✍️ 9. (Isa 29: 9-10) THIS IS A SIGN OF GOD'S DISPLEASURE WITH US Still on my Constituency"The Church of Christ", God has never hidden His Purpose for His Church;HE desire a people to fellowship with and have pleasure in.
