  • What is your fave dish that is quick and easy?
This dish is a favourite in my household when you just have a short amount of time to prepare food and hunger is really starting to knock. Making it is quite simple and quick. Poached eggs, leftover dandelion and basil pesto, and buckwheat soba noodles with prawns.
These noodles cook in just 4 minutes, after which they are rinsed in cold water and stir-fried with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and other spices.
The poached eggs are also ready in 4 minutes.
If the prawns are frozen, you can thaw them out by putting them in boiling water and letting them sit there for a few minutes till they become pink.
It may take 10 to 15 minutes to assemble and prepare everything, but I think the result is extremely scrumptious and nourishing. ‍
    Happy Friday everyone! #food #quickrecipe #simplerecipe #nourishingfood #glutenfree #dairyfree #sugarfree #cup #cent #healthmatter #familyfavourite

  • Even though it was hot, today, I felt like having something warm and hydrating for dinner, and since the first things I saw when I opened my refrigerator were okra, a tofu bag, and some leftover baked chicken thighs with a couple of broccoli, I named my dish "Curried okra with tofu and chicken" and added lots of garlic, ginger, spices, and chilli to it. Lol. My mouth was on fire! Along with the sweet potato noodles, I also included some fresh garden herbs and tahini as a garnish. It was delicious and nourishing for both my body and soul.
Even in the kitchen, there are moments when you simply have to go with the flow.
I hope everyone had a wonderful day

  • Ah, the joys of working from home!

For me it's a delightful dance between productivity and domesticity, where the mundane office routine gets swapped out for the whirlwind of crazy household tasks. Let me tell you about my full working day, during which I managed to finish a home marathon while also conquering the world of emails.
As I settled into my makeshift home office, armed with a steaming cup of tea and a determined spirit, the universe decided to test my multitasking skills. Amidst answering a seemingly endless list of emails, the washing machine beckoned me with a siren song of soiled laundry. How could I resist its call? With one hand typing furiously and the other expertly loading clothes into the machine, I transformed into a symphony conductor, orchestrating the perfect balance between work and chores.
It was now time for a quick lunch after starting the laundry. Oh, the luxury of being close to a kitchen! In record time, I cooked up a culinary masterpiece (or at least something edible), enjoying the mouthwatering tastes as my laptop watched in silence, wondering when it would get a taste of my culinary talent. Unfortunately, it had to be content with the scraps of my success.
Back at my desk, I marvelled at the passage of time. The day seemed to fly by, propelled by the whirlwind of tasks both professional and domestic. Yet, amidst the chaos, a strange harmony emerged. I was a productivity guru in the office, a domestic wizard in the kitchen, and a master of all trades (well, most trades) in my humble abode.
Sure, my work-from-home escapades may seem like a juggling act of epic proportions. I may have accidentally sent a laundry-related email or almost boil my earphones with the noodles (don't ask how). But through it all, I found solace in the fact that my day was a productive one, not just in conquering deadlines and conquering laundry stains, but also in embracing the delightful absurdity that comes with blending work and home life.

So, here's to the work-from-home warriors, the masters of multitasking, and the champions of the chaos. May your emails be eloquent, your washing machines be efficient, and your tea always be within arm's reach. After all, in the realm of productivity, there's nothing quite like the symphony of clacking keys, spinning laundry, and a perfectly brewed cup of tea to make the day go by in a whirlwind of hilarity and accomplishment.
    Have a prosperous Thursday everyone!

  • I spent the entire day outdoors with friends, family, surrounded by nature. This evening, when we couldn't decide what to eat, I combined some #haddock with leftovers of slow-cooked #porkbelli and some arrowroot #noodles to make this dish. The combination was so delicious.

    Happy Saturday everyone!

  • It's too pleasant outside to stay indoors right now. We just had a quick and #easymeal (#buckwheat soba #noodles with #shrimp and #asparagus) as a family before our hike. Since we haven been several times to the lakes in the last period of time, we'd like to head to the Wey River today, and take a leisurely family stroll along it. I adore the river’s location, and being near the water makes me always joyful and at ease.

    Happy Sunday everyone!

  • Today I visited a new local cuisine restaurant in my neighborhood for lunch with my friends.
Since we were there for the first time, we didn't know what the specialty was, so we took different dishes.
I don't know if the names of these dishes can be translated into English and how they will sound, but I will try (with the original name).
    Leskovac shaker (Leskovačka mućkalica),
Turkey with noodles (Ćuretina sa mlincima),
Pulled pork (Drpana prasetina) and Baked smoked ham in horseradish sauce (Zapečena dimljena butkica u sosu od rena).
The ambience is in an ethnic style and the dishes have a phenomenal taste and are highly recommended

  • The Chinese New Year is a special time to celebrate new beginnings.

As we enter into the new year, many cultures around the world are celebrating their own unique traditions. This Sunday marks the beginning of Chinese New Year 2023, and this cycle will be under the reign of The Water Rabbit!

The Chinese New Year is a time for families to come together in celebration. It’s an opportunity to honor ancestors, reflect on past successes and failures, appreciate what you have now and look forward to a bright future ahead. During this 15-day period known as “Spring Festival” or “Lunar New Year” people across China celebrate with parades filled with firecrackers and dragon dancers; feasts featuring dumplings; exchanges of red envelopes containing money; decorations such as paper lanterns hung up everywhere; plus family reunions where stories are shared over dinner tables full of delicious dishes like fish or noodles that represent luckiness in life.

This particular year is special because it falls under The Water Rabbit's rule — one that promises positive changes for those who embrace them wholeheartedly! People born during this cycle can expect abundance in wealth if they work diligently towards their goals while also staying humble enough not to let success get too big headed about themselves along the way. Additionally there might be some unexpected surprises coming from unlikely sources so keep your eyes open! On top of all these great prospects though it's important remember balance between restorative activities like meditation/yoga/etc...and hard work - both need each other equally well if we want our lives remain healthy & happy throughout 2023 (and beyond!).

So here's wishing everyone out there prosperity & good fortune during these upcoming days - may they usher us into a wonderful new era full joyousness & peace :)
