  • Meanwhile in a parallel world...
Masks stay put in Japan even as 3-year request to wear them ends.
Dropping the mask-wearing request is one of the last steps Japan’s government is taking in easing Covid-19 rules in public places as it tries to expand business and other activity.

  • This bonsai tree was planted in 1625, and has lived through a lot of history in its 400 years of life. It survived Hiroshima, even though it was only two miles away at the time.

  • Today was one of those extremely looooong days, involving #gym - #work - #lunch - work, arriving home late in the evening, making #dinner and then left the #mess in the #kitchen to my #husband. That’s because I’m #human being, and need to rest sometime. The best part is that after years of living together #couples often discover #harmony and #balance even in the seemingly insignificant #tasks like #housework.

These photos were taken at the #Japan House we stopped at today on the way home. These #antique #textile-making #machines captured my attention much. And the goods there were of the highest degree.

Happy Wednesday and 1st of March everyone!

  • In the middle of a forest on the Japanese island of Hokkaido, a geyser recently suddenly erupted sending warm water from an underground hot spring about 30-40 metres into the air.
This column of water was sent up at the end of last year, and was ‘roaring’ for the a few weeks with no signs of calming, nearby trees are reported to be stripped of foliage such is it’s strength.
