Ella rock mountain is much loved by travelers in Srilanka. It is located in Bandarawela district. Little Adam's peak also located near the Ella rock. This is very tourist attractive place due to the surroundings hills and the views of Badulla green valley. The weather is quite humid moderate air temperatures, sunny morning and little showers in afternoon. Hiking to Ella creates you unforgettable experience in your journey.

On May 26, 1805 Meriwether Lewis writes in his journal that he sees the Rocky Mountains for the first time…“In the after part of the day I also walked out and ascended the river hills which I found sufficiently fortiegueing. On arriving to the summit [of] one of the highest points in the neighborhood I thought myself well repaid for my labor; as from this point I beheld the Rocky Mountains for the first time, I could only discover a few of the most elevated points above the horizon, the most remarkable of which by my pocket compass I found bore N. 65°. W. being a little to the N. of the N.W. extremity of the range of broken mountains seen this morning by Cap. C. these points of the Rocky Mountains were covered with snow and the sun shone on it in such manner as to give me the most plain and satisfactory view, while I viewed these mountains I felt a secret pleasure in finding myself so near the head of the heretofore conceived boundless Missouri; but when I reflected on the difficulties which this snowy barrier would most probably throw in my way to the Pacific, and the sufferings and hardships of myself and party in them, it in some measure counterballanced the joy I had felt in the first moments in which I gazed on them; but as I have always held it a crime to anticipate evils I will believe it a good comfortable road untill I am compelled to believe differently…”

Having an afternoon thunder storm come through the foothills of the Rockies today. Mac is a big scaredy cat and up on the bed.

Enjoyed a little free airshow on top of a hill Looking down on Hillsboro. I only get to see the aircraft that make a big loops. I don’t know what make the helicopter is, but the jet fighter is a Navy E/A 18 Growler.. I had to look it up. I took these photos using my Canon 250mm lens. The aircraft were fairly far away so the image quality isnt too good. If you look close You can just see the pilots Helmet in the cockpit

Looks like the fog we have had is burning off this morning. Only hanging around the foothills of the mountains. A good cup of coffee then Mac and I are hitting the trails. Have a great Saturday !

Happened at Teck mine Green Hills BC. Haul truck ran over a cable crew truck that was parked in a bad spot Haul truck operator didn’t even feel a thing, only noticed it thy back into the shovel!

Happy hump day ! Kind of a dreary overcast day here. Good cup of coffee to start us off and hope it clears up. Can't even see the foothills of the mountains due to the fog. Mac itching for a walk but coffee first !

Muir Woods National Monument :
Muir Woods is part of California’s Golden Gate National Recreation Area, north of San Francisco. It’s known for its towering old-growth redwood trees. Trails wind among the trees to Cathedral Grove and Bohemian Grove, and along Redwood Creek. The Ben Johnson and Dipsea trails climb a hillside for views of the treetops, the Pacific Ocean and Mount Tamalpais in adjacent Mount Tamalpais State Park.

Kind of an ugly day out today with small storm passing through the foothills. Going healthy today with a Berry shake with protein. Hopefully clears up later this morning to take Mac on a walkabout.
