The Lakegala mountain, located approximately 175 kilometers from the capital city Colombo, is situated in the village of Meemure. Positioned near the border between the Kandy and Matale Districts, there are multiple access points to reach the Lakegala rock. However, the safest route is through Meemure Village. This mountain is famously known for being one of the most challenging hikes in Sri Lanka, and I personally can attest to that.
