• Hello Amigos.
Happy new day and welcome to my actifit report for Wednesday 31 May, 2023.
My day started with waking up early around 6:15am, I said my prayers giving thanks to God.
    Everywhere was cloudy.
I did some house chores and some online activities.
I went out for a little morning walk, the weather wasn't encouraging at all.

I walked a short distance before the rain started, it wasn't that heavy so I was able to run back home on time.

I spent my day doing online activities.
I joined SoMee and was doing some catch up, which is solely linked to Hive.
I was able to navigate and also do hive task as well.
I wasn't able to go for a walk in the evening because it rained again.
As usual little but serious rain.
I ended my day with online activities and watched an episode of a kdrama “twenty five twenty one”.
I really appreciate @terganftp for recommending this movie and for the HBD reward I got from him for my input in May's Frugal not Stingy community.
I really appreciate your generosity, rewards always put a cool smile on my face.
    Let's have a cool June.
Wishing you a fantastic day. This report was published via Actifit app (Android | iOS). Check out the original version here on actifit.io 31/05/2023 5142 Daily Activity, House Chores, Walking

  • Though clueless, I participated in the Zealy campaign on May 1st. After reading @libertycrypto27’s post, the question in my mind has been clarified. In this post, let me share my experience so far.
    New Activities I Tried
During the past three days, I explored activities that are new to me. One is the idea of “Calendar Threading” where participants are given a prompt to give a hint in micro-posting. My first two were successful: #mememonday and #greentuesday. I had difficulty understanding #pawfectwednesday and failed to submit an entry for the #travelthursday because I was just staying in my office. Tomorrow, perhaps, I can join again for #foodiefriday is easy to understand.
See the guide below on what to post each day of the week:
    ![01-Daily Focus.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23tHSiQpPHHtPaWEoiCUUmFEEGHU2b8GgEEvSCCTJT4V9srsVQCVfTZJ14VoTKPd5N1pw.png)
    [Source ](https://zealy.io/c/leofinance-4960/questboard/a7e9542c-cab9-4a5a-b65e-902d8cd07d80)
This next activity is not exactly new. I have been doing this for quite some time. I am just glad that LeoFinance added this as part of the quest, and that is to share a summary of meaningful articles and to post a comment to check the source of the articles. I selected articles published by @taskmaster4450 and @geekgirl. TM’s article is about the reasons why he believes that Hive can become the largest financial institution in the world. And as for GG, she shares about the growing number of Hive accounts and Hivers increasing their HBD savings. She also added that HBD is just like Hive prepared for mass adoption. That’s very encouraging and motivational that prompted me to start adding to my HBD savings.
After three days of participating in the Zealy campaign, I never thought I could do it. Despite my hectic schedule yesterday, I was able to complete 63 threads. Though that’s normal for many threaders, to me that is already a very challenging task.
After yesterday’s activity, today at around 6:38 PM Philippine time, I just managed to come up with 18 threads. Not sure if I can beat the number the previous day.
    The 10,000.00 USD Incentive
I assume that what many find interesting in this campaign is the incentive attached to it. Imagine having a share even a small portion of that $10,000.00 reward for those who will be joining this promotional campaign. Though it is not clear to me how this incentive will be distributed, I just entered the campaign for fun and exploration, that is, to learn something that I know little about.
Except for that 10,000.00 USD reward, there are also other ways to win in this game. Unfortunately, I don’t understand the mechanics of how to participate in them. There is this 200,000 HIVE power delegation, NFTs, and LEO Power delegation. I feel lost as to the exact procedure to represent a tribe.
    Growth of My Experience Points
So far, my Experience Points (xp) jumped from less than 50 to 775 after completing 34 quests. If you are curious about what this campaign is, you can check it by clicking the link below:
    https://zealy.io/c/leofinance-4960/invite/-SUdNg2GksluXvXyoGd6l
Thirty-seven more days to go before the end of this campaign. If you want to have a piece in the mentioned prize, the minimum steps you can do are just to sign in once a day, accomplish the assigned quests, or simply comment on others’ threads. That’s how my xp grew after three days.
    Grace and peace!

A blessed day to all gamers and fans of Splinterlands!
Too many new things are happening in our favorite blockchain-based game that I have difficulty catching up with all the updates. I have been absent from writing for more than three months. Hopefully, I could restart again by sharing a brief story about five powerful “Queens” and a few setbacks that I experienced as a result of my inactivity
    -0-0-0-
In the world of Gladiators, women cannot be confined to the four corners of a typical house. They love to fight on the battlefield and they excel in their skills that surpassed most men.
Our short story is about these powerful women: Fina Voxom, Katrelba Gobson, Captain Katie, Larissa Kerato, and most especially, Quora Towershead. These are now my favorite cards. They are all very powerful!
    The Queen of Opportunity Attack
In the regular Ranked Battle, I consider Dragon Jumper the king. Now he has a rival, and if I am not mistaken this rival is more powerful than him. Her name is Fina Voxom!
    ![Fina and Dragon Jumper.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23xyriGbKRoQAwypQTBahNtaoEybsm6APzrbyxG56KVV7172ZVwhd9rnnTJv5LbMDzsAi.png)
See one of her most impressive battles. She singlehandedly slaughtered all her enemies. She ended up the fight with 12 Melee attacks, 14 speed, and 10 health. Dragon Jumper cannot match that.
    The Queen of Sneak Attackers
The second Gladiatress is Katrelba Gobson. Combining all her three abilities such as Bloodlust, Double Strike, and Sneak, this fighter is extremely lethal. Her mastery is in annihilating enemies in the back position.
    ![Katrelba Gobson_lv1.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23tvVrBcSMwu8BTNBJuNDTSsVg8BvSdVJJ4kRXmr7w33suzZKNDDjpCWD36joQLhjjYnu.png)
    The Queen of Snipers
If the fire splinters have their Fina Voxom specializing in attacking the enemy with the lowest health, the life splinters have their own powerful Gladiatress in the person of Captain Katie that focuses on crushing the enemy in the second position.
    ![Captain Katie.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23y8wp13GftUhmGSwMWu6kdowm3MTk99kwohnRFogkmt19A3bHoB4sFPpj5yNp2XVGDqD.png)
Such three magic attacks that target the enemy in the second position are extraordinary. No sniper in the regular cards possesses such an ability.
    Introducing Larissa Kerato
Katrelba Gobson has a Double Strike ability against an enemy in the last position. Larissa Kerato on the other hand possesses the same ability to use magic attacks. This made her very deadly against the enemies’ tanks.
    ![Larissa Kerato.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23vhyvqhtsMHPjBWCoM84sPqDQyDmHEz5AZUPakJVqVi86iL8h7xeViRgsog5hFpYtesM.png)
A Gladiatress More Powerful than Kron the Undying
    ![Kron and Quora.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/EpEMjEfj4fM3WrpA7siVMbj8jsDWa7w6ZpXwBrKKryFbBVzSQ5PAjV1PRfiuw5s91Hr.png)
Last but not least, Quora Towershead.
I hate Quora when I still didn’t have the card because she is such a stubborn and very strong card; I think more powerful than Kron the Undying. Now, that I have a gold level 2 Quora, my hate turns to love. Many of my battle victories can be accredited to her.
    The Entry of Gladius Cards
The inclusion of Gladius cards is now changing the landscape of the game. I consider myself blessed for joining the Brawl I think sometime in September of last year. I never expect my deck would have such an edge with the presence of the identified fighters above.
    A Few Setbacks
Since I joined the Brawl, I got excited playing the game that I no longer concern myself with what I used to do before such as writing for the two weekly challenges. Moreover, I also struggle to keep pace with the many developments that are happening in the game as well as the many changes I experience since the day I joined the Brawl.
As a result of my non-participation in the regular weekly challenges since 11 January, I missed sharing a lot of great battle stories that I played particularly about Gladius cards. And not only that, but I also missed tracking the exact number of seasons that I am playing the game. I am not sure whether the current season is my 36th or my 37th.
The biggest setback of non-participation is on my Hive account. I only received bigger votes on Splinterlands-related content. Failing to submit a weekly post, takes away the potential HIVE and HBD that can be added to the growth of my account. This explains why my HIVE accumulation slows down since 11 January. I just rely on my savings to buy HIVE for power-up and other Hive engine tokens.
And so that’s the story of my journey in playing Splinterlands. I wish that I could return to writing again for the weekly challenges.
Thanks for your time and attention!
For those who want to explore Splinterlands, check this link.
    Grace and peace!

What is Splinterlands? What is Hive?

This is an overdue article. Not completing it, I will consider it a waste of time.
Yesterday, after listening to @neopch uploaded video, I made some notes thinking to write later about the points raised in the HBD scam “debate.” Unfortunately, I got distracted by many concerns in the Business Office, such as the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) penalty and the need to apply for amnesty to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Listening to TCMD’s voice reminds me of a conversation with a friend a week ago. He shared with me that he invested his money in a government investment tool with a 6 to 7% annual return. Though I did not mention HBD, I mentioned the possibility of a saving with 20% interest rate. As an accountant by profession, his immediate response is that such a thing doesn’t exist. And so, I did not pursue the conversation for he might misinterpret me as pushing a “scam.”
Hearing the word “scam” associated with any project out there is sufficient enough for anyone to close his mind to take a serious look at that particular project. At this point, I think many have already heard such a heavy word used to describe HBD. The fact that HBD has a 20% APR is considered a red flag.
TCMD raised several points. One of them is clarifying the distinction between the contention that HBD is a scam from the question of the sustainability of the 20% APR and the feared “red flag.”
Perhaps, the critics are thinking that HBD giving 20% APR qualifies it as a scam. For TCMD, the response to the scam allegation is clear. Only those who know nothing about Hive will insist that HBD is a scam.
Turning to the other questions whether the 20% APR makes a project a scam or unsustainable, we need a different response. Another point that TCMD emphasized is that no single individual or any centralized entity made the decision to come up with such a high-interest rate. In fact, he mentioned that he favored the more conservative 12%.
And so, it was the community that made the decision to increase the APR of HBD to 20%. Another surprising idea I heard is about a proposal to increase the interest to 30%. We don’t know if this will pass the polling process or when will it be implemented. Perhaps, once such an increase is made, the voice of those who accuse HBD of a scam will get even louder.
Another interesting insight mentioned in the video is that the history of the market price of HBD is usually over the peg rather than under the peg of $1.00 worth of HIVE. Given that the token has a seven-year history (as far as the technology behind is concerned) and many digital applications are developed as well as the growing number of in-person economies utilizing the token, the fear that it might follow the footstep of LUNA is unlikely to happen. Perhaps, if no projects are being built on top of Hive, such dreaded crash may be justified.
Lastly, TCMD mentioned that looking back at the history of the price of the token, the typical swing is between 10% to 20%. Yes, no one can say for sure about the future direction of the price of the token, but if I will bet between crashing and price appreciation, I think the facts support the latter. T
So that’s all I’ve learned from listening to the video uploaded by @neopch. Thanks!
Finally, I was able to complete this article and I feel satisfied somehow.

You can call this HBD 2030. This vision is only applicable to Hivers in developing nations. Of course, we don’t know the future. We don’t know what will happen to HIVE and HBD a year from now. How much more 7 years from now? This limitation should not prevent us from dreaming.
Hivers in developed countries need a bigger quantity of HBD to sustain them when they will be out of work in their old age. In our case, I think 256 HBD per month is enough to provide our necessities, for my wife and me. I will be 63 by that time and she will be 53.
Originally, I intend to have 100 HBD by the end of the year. That will be my seed money. @gadrian suggested that I should aim for 120 HBD at least for me to receive two HBD per month with the current 20% interest.
After a few days, such a suggestion triggers me to contemplate the possibility of creating a retirement plan using HBD. Let us say I started with 120 HBD by the end of the year. If I will earn two HBD per month with that amount of savings, I will end up the year with 144 HBD.
The computation of course is not simple as that. It is based upon the idea that everything is fixed such as the interest rate and the quantity of HBD I will be accumulating per month. If one of these will change, then my computation will no longer be applicable.
For the sake of clarity and illustration, I beg your patience to allow me to build a hypothetical situation with fixed numbers. This will make my computation easier.
Let us say that I can double the amount of HBD I have every year and so by the end of 2024, I will have 240 HBD in my savings and this will earn 48 HBD in a year.
By 2025, I will have 480 HBD and will be earning 96 HBD the whole year.
By 2026, I will have 960 and will be earning 192 HBD for the entire year. With doubling capacity in my hypothetical situation, by 2030, I will have 15,360 HBD in my wallet and will earn 3,072 HBD in a year.
With 256 HBD per month, that’s 12,800 PHP every month or a total of 153,600 PHP within a year. I think I can live with that provided that the standard of living will not be so far from what it is now.
Again, this is just speculation. Reality is more complicated than my computation. Nevertheless, this gives me an idea about the future direction I want to take with HBD.
    Grace and peace!

Today I will be teaching a very important topic BLOCKCHAIN FORK. This topic is rare and very important in the blockchain world. Please Don't skip this post

    1. WHAT IS BLOCKCHAIN FORK

A fork is simply when a cryptocurrency splits into two different cryptocurrencies due to changes in the original cryptocurrency. Forks often happen when the coding of a blockchain or cryptocurrency is changed. When discussing forks, there are probably two types of forks, which are hard forks and soft forks. We will look at them later.

However, in a nutshell, a hard fork is when two blockchain networks are not compatible with each other, whereas a soft fork is when both the new and old versions of the blockchain network are compatible with each other.

Forks can sometimes be so complicated for users since they require the acquisition of new wallets, software updates, and also learning how to make use of the new system. In a nutshell, a fork is simply a division of a cryptocurrency, which often occurs. based on the disagreement that led to separation. As you keep on reading, you will get to know more about the hard fork and soft fork.

    2. What are the differences between hard forks and soft forks?

2a. Soft forks are viewed as a more secure option that is backward compatible, ensuring that nodes that do not update to newer versions will still regard the chain as valid.

2b. A simple operating system upgrade on a computer or a mobile device can be compared to the distinction between hard forks and soft forks. All of the applications on the smartphone will continue to function after the upgrade with the new.

    3. THE HIVE HARD FORK

Hive, on the other hand, was created on January 1, 2020, as a hard fork of the Decentralized Blogging Social Media Platform that separates itself from SoMee. Hive also rewards users with cryptocurrency just like SoMee. Hive cryptocurrency rewards include the Hive native coin and the Hive-backed Dollar (HBD).

the second image shows the genesis block of the hive

When a blockchain hard forks, the newly formed blockchains download the transaction history of the original blockchain and so share a common ancestor.

I hope you understand the concept. thank you for reading.

Today I will be teaching STABLECOINS. It's a topic you must be familiar with but there's always something to learn

    1. WHAT ARE STABLECOINS?

One thing that makes me like the Crypto world, is that most of its related terms are self-explained. Just like most crypto terms, stablecoins can be easily defined as stablecoins. In a more professional manner, I would define stable coins as a crypto asset that was created in a specific way that makes them far less volatile and unstable when compared to other cryptocurrencies.

Using a commonly used term I would say stablecoins are usually pinned or pegged to an external asset, for example, the famous USDT is said to be pegged to an external currency the USD, This helps the Crypto market strive for a great height. Stablecoins are very important because it's used to perform a special skill in the crypto market.

    2. Why were stablecoins created and how are they useful?

The stablecoins give the market a structure and format in which transactions would occur on the market, this is what other coins can't assure you. Stablecoins also help reduce chances of losing your money accidentally, for example just imagine there were no stablecoins and someone wants to send money into his Crypto exchange. This user doesn't have a coin in mind to buy but she wants to credit her crypto wallet, if this user buys a volatile coin, in the next 1hour the worth of the user's money would definitely flutate and cause a big loss to this innocent user.

    3. What are the most popular stablecoins? Which do you use more and why?

    3a. HBD (Hive-Backed Dollars)
    3b. USDT
    3c. BUSD

Thank you all I hope you enjoyed this lecture. See you tomorrow.
