Israel's Savagery Is So Shocking It's Sometimes Hard To Take In

Sometimes Israel’s crimes are so horrific that at first you don’t even understand what you’re looking at. You just stare at it trying to make sense of what you’re seeing for a bit, like you would if you suddenly saw a space alien or a leprechaun or something.

It happened to me yesterday when I was watching a Sky News report about a teenage boy who was shot by Israeli forces in Jerusalem for celebrating the release of Palestinian prisoners in the hostage negotiations with Hamas. I was watching it thinking to myself, I must be misunderstanding what I’m looking at. I know that Israel does gross things, but surely the story here isn’t that they shot a kid for being happy about something.

Then, as has happened so many times over the last two months, I kept watching and learned that yes, that is indeed what happened. The deputy mayor of Jerusalem Fleur Hassan-Nahoum is seen defending the shooting by saying “part of the deal is that there would be no celebrations for the release of attempted murderers” (this was actually not a part of the deal, it was just a decree issued by Israel’s national security minister) and claiming dishonestly that “we’re talking about the release of attempted murderers” (the vast majority have not been convicted of any crime and have been denied any due process for the accusations against them).

The band Eve6 nicely summed up what it felt like watching the clip of the deputy mayor’s comments, tweeting, “The remarkable thing about this clip is her self assurance. Like she’s supremely confident that ‘we shot the teenager because he was celebrating’ is a thing that people will find reasonable.”

I had the same experience reading about the five premature babies who were left to die after the IDF raided al-Nasr Pediatric Hospital in Gaza earlier this month, their decomposing bodies only discovered when the temporary ceasefire allowed access to the hospital. It's just too insane to believe — they attacked a pediatric hospital? And then they left the babies there to die? What??

The only reason we’re learning about this now is because the pause in fighting allowed journalists to get cameras into the building and show the dead infants to the world. This calls to mind the Politico report immediately prior to the ceasefire which said that the White House was worried “an unintended consequence of the pause” would be “that it would allow journalists broader access to Gaza and the opportunity to further illuminate the devastation there and turn public opinion on Israel.”

Indeed, since the pause in fighting began the world has been receiving drone footage from mainstream platforms like Reuters and The Washington Post revealing vast expanses of urban terrain completely destroyed by a blanket of Israeli military explosives spanning from city block to city block. Looking at the blatantly indiscriminate devastation that’s been caused by Israel’s assault on Gaza since October 7 makes it clear that the IDF are not targeting Hamas but Gaza itself.

I’ve been amazed at how much I’ve been sleeping since the ceasefire started; that’s why I haven’t been writing as much. I guess spending weeks staring at unbelievable horrors unfolding on your screen can be pretty hard on your system if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing, so my body’s been resting up as much as it can while there’s an opportunity.

And I’m just here watching this all unfold safely from my home in Melbourne. I cannot imagine what it’s like to be living in the midst of this horror for the last two months, trying to figure out the best way to survive while also grieving the family, friends and neighbors you’re losing along the way. These people have all been deeply traumatized in ways that will haunt them for the rest of their lives, if they survive the violence, disease and deprivation that’s to come.

This thing is so astonishingly ugly, and it could get a whole lot uglier after the ceasefire ends. If there’s anything positive to be found in this living nightmare, it’s that it’s so earth-shakingly ugly that it just might shake the world awake.

Hello Mr. Enge, I was extremely shocked and angry when I saw your reply to netizens.

What I want to refute is your statement that "during World War II, if the world had helped the Jews, 6 million Jews would not have been killed."
This cannot be the reason nor does this entitled you to massacre and commit genocide on the Palestinians.

In addition, this statement is wrong.
During World War II, Shanghai, Nanjing in China, was suffering from aggression and horrendous genocide under the Japanese while the Jews were under the holocaust under the Nazis.

Yet China during this period of immense suffering under the massacre and carnage by the Japanese, China
unconditionally accepted more than 50,000 Jewish people who escape into China.

US Warmongers Keep Pushing The Narrative That Hamas Is To Blame For All Deaths In Gaza

One thing I’ve been meaning to highlight for the last few days is the way US warmongers have been forcefully pushing the propaganda narrative that Hamas bears 100 percent responsibility for all deaths in Gaza, and Israel bears zero percent, as Israel ramps up its mass slaughter of Palestinians.

In a New York Times article titled “Hamas Bears the Blame for Every Death in This War,” notorious neoconservative war propagandist Bret Stephens argues that no blame whatsoever should be placed on Israel for the thousands of civilians it has killed in its latest Gaza operation and the thousands more it will continue to kill.

“The central cause of Gaza’s misery is Hamas,” Stephens writes. “It alone bears the blame for the suffering it has inflicted on Israel and knowingly invited against Palestinians. The best way to end the misery is to remove the cause, not stay the hand of the remover.”

Lindsey Graham (who is such a bloodthirsty psychopath that he recently called on Israel to “level” Gaza because “we’re in a religious war here” and said the US should bomb Iran any time Hamas executes any prisoners) echoed Bret Stephens’ sentiments during an interview on Monday.

“Every death going forward I blame on Hamas, not Israel,” Graham said.



Graham’s senatorial colleague Mitt Romney was even more direct.

“You are going to see pictures of Palestinian civilians that are going to be injured, killed by virtue of the conflict, which is ongoing,” Romney said during an appearance in Tel Aviv. “I hope you recognize that those individuals are being killed because of Hamas, not because of Israel.”

“They are using Palestinians to protect Hamas lives,” Romney added. “Therefore, when Israel takes action to try and go after Hamas and take out its leadership, there will be civilians and innocents that will be killed. They will parade that as if this is some horror perpetrated by Israel.”

“Do not forget the lives that you will see lost on TV… Israeli lives and Palestinian lives [lost] are all the result of Hamas,” Romney continued.

Fox News war slut Sean Hannity shares the same opinion, surprise surprise.

“Every single death in this conflict can be blamed on Hamas and their supporters in Iran,” Hannity told his audience. “Because of last week’s brutal terror attack, Israel has no choice. They must defend their country.”

This is about as blatant as war propaganda gets. These imperial narrative managers are using their massive platforms and influence to tell everyone “Remember kids, you’re going to see a whole bunch of innocent civilians get killed, and it’s going to look a lot like those civilians are being killed by Israel. But don’t you believe your lying eyes! They’re really being killed by Hamas. Just because the people dropping military explosives in areas known to be packed full of children are wearing Israeli badges and operating Israeli war machinery doesn’t mean Israel is involved in this butchery in any way. It’s really Hamas doing all that.”

And what’s great about this narrative is that there’s no upper limit on the extent to which it can be applied. If they wind up killing twenty thousand Gazans, then Hamas killed twenty thousand Gazans. If they wind up killing a hundred thousand Gazans, then Hamas killed a hundred thousand Gazans. If they wind up driving all Palestinians out of Gaza into refugee camps in the Sinai desert and seizing that territory as their own, then god damn you for ethnic cleansing the Gaza Strip, Hamas.

No matter how far they extend the bloodshed and abuse, they can still blame it all on Hamas. Per this logic there is therefore no limit on how far things can be taken before the cost of human life and suffering outweighs Israel’s strategic objectives and ceasefire negotiations become necessary. It’s a catch-all innoculation against peace.

And to be honest it seems to be working; I get a constant barrage of “Hamas is to blame for this” comments on social media whenever talking about Israel’s obvious criminality in this current crisis.

This propaganda is being pushed as President Biden vows to support Israel’s ongoing Gaza massacre and tells Netanyahu the US is fully behind Israel’s planned Gaza ground invasion.

Not only is Israel absolutely responsible for the bloodshed it chooses to inflict on the people of Gaza, the United States is too. These crimes are being perpetrated with US weapons, US funding and US consent, and backed by the full might of the US propaganda machine. The US is just as responsible for the destruction of Gaza as Israel is.

All this propaganda is designed to keep people from assigning any blame or responsibility to those who are most guilty in this onslaught, because if everyone clearly understood what’s being done in their name, all that carefully manufactured consent would rapidly disintegrate.

It's with great joy that I welcome you to my actifit report for Tuesday 20th June,2023.
I woke up early around 5:55am with a smile, I felt good.
The rain from last night made sleep to be smooth, I enjoyed the chilly night.
I did my normal routine house chores, then few online activities before hitting the road.

I walked around for sometime.
Not forgetting to take random photos, this has become a part of me.

Coming back I branched by a friend's chemist, after talking for sometime I checked my weight.

I still weigh 60kg, but it seems I was seeing 57or59kg.... Can you help me confirm please?????
Moving on, I came back prepared and ate late breakfast.
Showered and continued with some online activities, and my movie review write up.
I thought it could have been so easy, but is not.
I pray i finish writing all of it soon, it will take a long time before I engage in something like this again.
In the evening I went out with a friend who showed me fish suya sold on the street, I don't know how I of all people forgot to snap it.
I ended my day with some online activities and a cool chat with old friends.
It was a fun chat, indeed friends are priceless.

Hello Amigos.
All glory to God for making us all to see a new day.
I didn't wake up as early as usual, funny how some meds side effects takes a toll on someone.
It made me sleep more than usual.
Luckily I was still able to do few things for myself.
Funny, how my body feels weak but not my hands.
That's a good one right?
I was indoors until in the evening, and yes it rained but not much.
I was already feeling heavy and I seriously needed some fresh air outside.

It's Saturday, so people are always seen in the mini stadium either playing football or other activities.

When I got there I didn't go any further, I just sat down outside the stadium and watched for some time.
Actually I was resting, during the time I met a friend who engaged in a talk with me.
Truth is he was actually the one talking while I listened, because like I said I was trying to gain strength.
He was really a good story teller with a touch of comedian vibes.
I enjoyed his company.
I came back prepared and ate dinner, then took my meds.
And that was it.

I will be much more better when I am done with the meds while fighting it's side effects ????
