  • It is undeniable that in the space of a year, the strategic landscape of the Middle East has changed dramatically to Israel’s advantage in a way that few could have imagined prior to the October 7 Hamas invasion. This many-fronted war is far from over. If Iran has been left exposed and embarrassed, there is the danger that she will take desperate steps like a cornered mother-cat. Hamas and Hezbollah may have been subdued, but the fanatics who make up their rank and file are far from being de-radicalized, and the same is true of like-minded terrorists and their masses of supporters across the Middle East and throughout the world. Radical Islamic terror remains a threat everywhere.

"He removes kings and installs kings"
What we may learn from the rapid downfall of Hamas, Hezbollah and the Assad tyranny, is that even when the forces of evil seem strongest and most powerfully entrenched, G-d Almighty, the Lord of Hosts, has the power to orchestrate His "hosts" and "legions", including all the many different and opposing forces on His global chessboard, to bring them down. For, "He changes times and seasons, removes kings and installs kings; He gives the wise their wisdom and knowledge to those who know" (Daniel 2:21).

It is incumbent on all Jews, Israelis and all our friends and allies everywhere, to understand that it is ultimately G-d alone who granted success and blessed the efforts of all the courageous soldiers who put their lives on the line in order to defend us in Gaza, Lebanon, in the skies of Syria and Iran, and in other locations across the world.
This Chanukah, let us remember G-d’s kindnesses and mercies to us when we gaze upon the lights of the Menorah, when we meditate on His great miracles for the Maccabees during the recital of Al Hanissim in the Amidah prayers and in the Grace after Meals, and when we sing His praises in the daily recital of the full Hallel (Psalms 113-118) on each of the eight days of the festival.

    A second Trump presidency
Another miracle for which giving thanks at this time may well be appropriate is the election of President Donald Trump to a second presidency, which averted what seemed like a serious threat of four more years of radical, woke, Marxist-leaning misgovernment in the United States under a brainless, string-puppet figurehead controlled by ex-president Barack Obama.

Many hope that President Trump will take serious action to clean up the corrupt Washington "swamp", boost the US economy, deport millions of illegal aliens who have greatly increased crime, drug abuse and sex-trafficking across the country, and put an end to global wars. However, it remains an open question as to what extent he will be able to deliver on his promises in face of the massive opposition that is likely to arise domestically and internationally as soon as he takes office, including some that may come from quite unexpected directions.

    The "Abraham Accords"
It does seem likely that the incoming Trump administration will show stronger support for further forceful action by Israel against her enemies, while simultaneously promoting the resumption of the "Abraham Accords", suspended under President Joe Biden, which are intended to induce Saudi Arabia and other supposedly "moderate" Moslem states to give full diplomatic recognition to Israel so as to open the way for greater economic cooperation for the mutual benefit of all.

It will indeed be entirely miraculous if the Abraham Accords can succeed in quelling the brand of extreme radicalism espoused today by millions of self-avowed Moslems across the globe, who are bent on intimidating and terrorizing people everywhere into submission, threatening death to all who refuse. Will the Saudis, who greatly profit from hosting Islam’s holiest site, succeed in persuading their fellow Moslems that true religion is not about violence and coercion but about persuading humanity to join together in seeking the Truth, submitting to the One God and carrying out His Will?

Can the Saudis be brought to officially acknowledge Mount Moriah as the site of the destined Future Temple in Jerusalem as prophesied by the prophets of Israel? If Donald Trump and Elon Musk will categorically declare that the ultimate goal of all Middle East diplomacy is to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, that in itself will be an astounding miracle, comparable to King Cyrus’ giving the green light for the building of the Second Temple (Ezra 1:2). Someone please get the message to them!

    The Turkey factor
The present-day republic of Türkiye extends over vast areas of Anatolia and Western Asia that in Biblical times made up Ashur, the Assyrian empire. Indeed, Turkey’s current leader, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, shows signs of being no less of a megalomaniac than Sennacherib, king of Ashur, who laid siege to Jerusalem in the time of King Hezekiah until his miraculous defeat.

Erdoğan probably prefers we forget the time when a horse he was trying to mount threw him and gave him a mighty kick in the crotch, but it’s preserved on video. In his latest rant last week, Erdoğan said: "Turkey is far greater than its 782,000 square kilometers. Those questioning our presence in Syria, Libya or Somalia fail to grasp our vision." In other words, Turkey reserves the right to burst its way far beyond its current borders in order to resurrect the Ottoman Empire. Do we say good luck with that? Despite getting knackered in the crotch, the unhumbled Erdoğan fails to see any contradiction between his expansionist imperial visions and his unceasing accusations against Israel for the "illegal occupation" of Palestine, Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.

The greatest irony is that biblical prophecy points in the opposite direction to Erdoğan’s vision of "Greater Turkey", because it is precisely "little Israel", which all the nations of the world seek to push back behind the pre-1967 borders if not into the sea, which is ultimately destined to expand and encompass all of present-day Lebanon, Jordan and Syria, stretching "from the river to the river" — from the Nile to the Euphrates — as clearly laid down in Genesis 15:18-21, Numbers chapter 34 and Ezekiel 47:15-20. Under the final settlement, Israel’s Mediterranean border will extend to Hor Hahar, the mountain spur jutting into the sea aside modern-day Antiki (=ancient Antioch), well inside present-day Türkiye!

    Greater Israel — for what?
The question we must clarify is: For what purpose do we seek the Greater Israel?
After Israel’s miraculous victory over Egypt, Syria and Jordan in 1967, when she recovered the biblical heartland of Israel, Judea and Samaria, the Golan Heights, Gaza and the Sinai desert, all in the space of six days, the Israeli far left simply did not know what to do with the conquered territories and just wanted to "give them back" as quickly as possible in exchange for "peace".

Thus after the reconquest of East Jerusalem, Israeli General Moshe Dayan immediately returned the keys of the Temple Mount into the hands of the Moslem Wafk police, since he clearly could not, or did not want to conceive of a Jewish Temple on the site. That would have obliged him to turn around his entire secular lifestyle and philosophy. Likewise, Israel’s far left campaigned unremittingly to "give back" the territories, until they jumped onto the accursed 1993 Oslo-Assla "Peace Process" nightmare that plagues us until today with the slogan: "YeShA (Yehuda-Judah, Shomron-Samaria & ‘Aza-Gaza) First".

Immediately after the Six Day War, many believers saw clearly the hand of G-d in Israel’s stunning accomplishments against all the odds. However, the cynical, increasingly decadent Israeli left shared neither their faith nor their vision of the return to the territories as a step towards the restored Greater Israel. On the contrary, the Israeli left with their backers among the western powers, were determined to uproot the Greater Israel vision and made every effort to crush and demoralize the many Israelis who cherished it. Successive Israeli governments bowed repeatedly to pressures from Washington to show "restraint" in face of painful provocations by her enemies.

If the same constant kowtowing by Israeli Jews to foreign pressure had existed in the years of the British Mandate (1917-48), Israel would never have attained her independence. It was the spirit of fierce Jewish nationalism that breathed in the souls of the pioneers and the Jewish military bands who fought against the Arab armies in the War of Independence that brought the Independent State of Israel into being.

    The Israeli Fighting Spirit
This spirit of courageous Jewish nationalism shone in every word of Israel Prime Minister Menahem Begin’s famous retort to then-Senator Joe Biden in 1982 when he threatened to withhold US aid to Israel: "Don’t threaten us with cutting off your aid. It will not work. I am not a Jew with trembling knees. I am a proud Jew with 3,700 years of civilized history. Nobody came to our aid when we were dying in the gas chambers and ovens. Nobody came to our aid when we were striving to create our country. We paid for it. We fought for it. We died for it. We will stand by our principles. We will defend them. And, when necessary, we will die for them again, with or without your aid."

It was heartening to sense a return of this fighting spirit — the spirit of Judah and the Maccabees — in current Israel Prime Minster Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the same Joe Biden, now old and hoary, in the present war, openly defying his demands not to take the Gaza war into Rafah, not to enter Lebanon, etc. etc. In every case, following Biden’s dictates would have been a catastrophic capitulation to Israel’s enemies, while Israel’s successes came precisely from going against them.

Let us understand that the new Middle East landscape, replete as it with possible dangers to Israel and ripple-effect repercussions for Jews and our allies all over the world, nevertheless presents us with entirely new opportunities for advancing the prophetic vision of Greater Israel. It may be that the hand of G-d has been relatively concealed within Israel’s military successes against her enemies, yet without His help, all the courage of our fighters and the brilliance of our intelligence officers could not have succeeded.

We should be buoyed by the downfall of Hamas, Hezbollah and the Assad dictatorship, and the likely impending destruction of the Iranian regime. We must have faith that they came about through G-d’s redemptive kindness to Israel, that He is with us, and that He is leading us forward to the realization of the dreams of His servants the prophets.
Yes, Israel needs to survive in a global jungle of wild beasts, and we have no option but to defend ourselves with a disciplined army and top-grade armaments. Yes, Israel is the holy land, birthplace of Abrahamic faith, a pluralistic society that gives religious freedom to Jews, Christians, Moslems, Bahai, agnostics, atheists… We do not seek to force people to observe Shabbat, eat kosher, pray…

But those who know that the Land is promised to Israel under the terms of G-d’s Covenant — the Holy Torah — must strengthen our own observance and devotion, now more than ever, through the joy of seeing that G-d is truly with us. We must do everything in our power to promote the knowledge of the prophetic vision of a land properly policed, free of terror, murder, robbery, immorality, corruption and injustice, a land that will shine spiritual knowledge and the love of G-d to all the world, with Torah education for all Jews, Torah Academies for the nations, facilities for priests and Levites and their livelihood, and a rebuilt, functioning Temple.

  • Gaza proves Humanity is far more Backward than we Thought

This is for the benefit of all those political piss-artists and ministerial scoundrels in London, Washington, Paris and other Western capitals who wilfully distort the Israel-Palestine narrative and, in particular, the Gaza genocide and would have everyone believe that the problem started with Hamas’s breakout on 7 October, 14 months ago.

And who do this to give their adored friends in Israel a free pass to carry out unspeakable crimes against humanity in order to realise the Zionists’ dream of dominating the entire Holy Land in accordance with their ‘Plan Dalet’ drawn up in 1948 on Ben Gurion’s instructions.

17 years ago I was in Gaza to see for myself what was already a bad situation. That was before the murderous blitzkrieg they called Operation Cast Lead and subsequent massacres, but Israel’s crimes against humanity were already piled high.

When I got home memories of the visit so haunted me that I sat down and wrote an article titled “See Gaza and Weep” describing my impressions in November of 2007.

    flattening Gaza to the ground
    SEE GAZA AND WEEP

Traffic into Gaza through the smart new border ‘facility’ at Erez is down to a trickle since Israel branded this tiny Palestinian seaside enclave a “hostile entity” and imposed a blockade even harsher than before.

We came to Gaza to visit Fr Manuel Musallam, who ministers to his flock, runs the excellent Catholic school against all odds and is revered as a local hero. If he leaves Gaza the Israelis won’t allow him back, so for 9 years he has stayed put, isolated. When he heard we were coming, said a colleague, he burst into tears.

After a noisy arrival at breakneck speed, with police sirens blaring Palestinian-style, our visit quickly turned into a media circus. An unlikely cavalcade of priests, interpreters, teachers, cameramen and Hamas armed police then took off to inspect the Rafah crossing into Egypt, now closed indefinitely, then followed the iron barrier down to the sea and the coast road back to the city.

I noted the deserted beaches and disused fishing boats… Israel has banned fishing off the Gaza coast, ruined the livelihood of 3000 fishermen and deprived local people of a proper diet. Boats defying the ban are fired on.

The Gaza Strip is sealed off from the outside world with an Israeli fence guarded by watchtowers, snipers, tanks, armoured bulldozers and drones. Israel pretended to withdraw two years ago but still controls Gaza’s airspace, coastal waters and airwaves. It has the place bottled up like a prison and makes frequent incursions.

Much of it is blasted to rubble but many fine buildings survive. So does the defiant community. One can easily imagine Gaza blossoming into a coastal paradise, but right now the strangulated economy is in free-fall and for 1.5 million ordinary folk life is hell. Unemployment stands at 65%, and 80% live below the poverty line.

Fuel is running out, so are basics like washing powder. Shattered infrastructure and food shortages mean serious public health problems. Power cuts disrupt hospitals and vital drugs cannot be kept refrigerated. Thousands look death in the face as medi-care collapses.

A friend emailed: “Today in Gaza we have no cement to build graves for those who die.”

Palestinians pray by the bodies of people killed in the Gaza Strip in front of the morgue in Deir al-Balah. [Adel Hana/AP Photo]
We were also there to show solidarity with the whole population, Muslim and Christian, against the crippling economic sanctions that have led to this crisis. According to the Ministry of Health 450 cancer patients (35% of them children) are forbidden to leave Gaza for treatment or surgery. Many go without medication because cancer drugs are blocked or delayed at the border. There’s no radiotherapy.

400 renal failure patients should be getting dialysis three times a week but 20 of the 69 machines are out of action – no spares – and treatment has been cut to twice a week.

400 cardiac patients suffer unnecessarily owing to shortage of drugs. Spares for therapeutic and diagnostic equipment cannot get through.

Hospitals are completely out of many essential medical and psychiatric drugs, X-ray bags and sterilisation bags. They are dangerously short of dressings, other disposables and cleaning materials. When the 2 weeks’ supply of anaesthetics is finished the operating theatres will close.

Fuel stocks may last 15 days with luck, but there’s no patient food until MAP UK aid arrives.

Physicians for Human Rights (Israel) say they have been trying to bring the critically ill out of Gaza for proper treatment, but are often refused. So they die in agony. A thousand patients – advanced kidney and cancer cases and victims of Israeli air-strikes – need immediate transfer. Channel 4 News screened a shocking report on UK TV about how the sick are blackmailed. If they agree to inform on relatives they are allowed to cross the border. If not they can “stay in Gaza and die”.

The Red Cross repeatedly reminds Israel of its obligation under international law and the Geneva Conventions to ensure that humanitarian supplies reach Palestinian civilians.

However, I’m told that drugs purchased from sales of my book ‘Radio Free Palestine’ cannot be delivered in the normal way and will have to be smuggled in somehow.

The European Parliament in October passed a resolution calling on Israel to lift the blockade and guarantee humanitarian aid and essential supplies of electricity and fuel. Israel responded by declaring Gaza a “hostile entity” and announced more sanctions.

As guests in the community we were invited for coffee at the House of Fatah and the residence of Hamas prime minister Ismail Haniyeh. It was a relief to see that relations between religious and political factions are friendly and good-humoured at such a difficult time.

Taking our leave was double torture… the wrench of saying farewell to a brave people that Western governments are persecuting, and the prospect of once again running the gauntlet of Erez’s high-tech security procedures and questioning, which this time took 3 hours while Qassam rockets flew over and exploded on the Israeli side. They seldom do any damage but indiscriminate targeting of civilians by both sides is deplorable.

Gaza was formerly under British mandate, which is surely reason enough to feel a special responsibility. In better days a kindlier British government might have landed supplies on Gaza’s empty beach and lifted the siege. Indeed, there are many things a kindlier British government might have done to set the Palestinians free.

How different now. The appalling situation, created with Britain’s help, is designed to force democratically elected Hamas into submission and bring a sick and demoralised community meekly back under Abbas’s puppet regime.

Meanwhile the subjugation and dispossession of Christians and Muslims in the Holy Land continues. It remains a mystery to me why our largely Christian (but increasingly Muslim-inclusive) democracy in the UK so slavishly supports the Middle Eastern ethnocracy that’s doing this…

Question: What has changed for the better? Answer: Nothing. And that sums up the achievement of Mahmoud Abbas’s over-long stay as Palestinian president.

Some say Abbas isn’t a bad guy, he just lost his way. Actually there’s a long crime-sheet against him. A founding member of Arafat’s Fatah faction, he ‘won’ the presidency of the Palestinian National Authority in January 2005 in a dodgy contest – let’s not dignify it with the word ‘election’ – in which Israel seriously interfered to obstruct other candidates. He has overstayed his 4-year term by nearly 3 years and is widely regarded as having no legitimacy and no popular mandate. Legitimate or not, he is still propped up by the US, Israel, Britain and those other beacons of democracy.

According to the Constitution the presidency should by now have devolved to the Speaker of the Legislative Council, Aziz Duweik. But that could never be permitted because Duweik, although a professor with a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, is also a member of Hamas. So Abbas clings to office like used chewing-gum to the sidewalk.

In 2007 he dissolved the Hamas-led unity government, of which Haniyeh was prime minister, and appointed Salam Fayyad in his place, a move that was almost certainly illegal under Palestinian Basic Law and designed to ensure the disunity and weakness that Israel so badly wanted to see.

Since the Palestinian Legislative Council never approved Fayyad’s appointment, many Palestinians regard Haniyeh as the caretaker PM although his authority, as a result of Abbas’s treachery, is now confined to Gaza. In all probability Fayyad has no more legitimacy than Abbas.

When he took up the post of president, Abbas would have sworn this solemn oath… “I swear to God almighty to be faithful to the Homeland and to its sacred places, and to the people and its national heritage, and to respect the Constitutional system and the law, and to safeguard the interests of the Palestinian people completely, as God is my witness.”

We’ve seen how he respects his country’s Constitutional system. He was further undone by the Wikileaks suggestions that the Israeli government “consulted with Egypt and Fatah prior to Operation Cast Lead, asking if they were willing to assume control of Gaza once Israel defeated Hamas”.

And only a few days ago Abbas was safeguarding the interests of the Palestinian people by announcing on Israeli TV, of all places: “Palestine now for me is ’67 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This is now and forever … This is Palestine for me. I am [a] refugee, but I am living in Ramallah. I believe that [the] West Bank and Gaza is Palestine and the other parts [are] Israel.” In other words, he relinquishes the Palestinian refugees’ right to return to their lands and homes and even surrenders his own right to return to his birth town Safad, which is now a district in northern Israel.

“We don’t want to use terror,” he says. Agreed. Perish the thought.

“We don’t want to use force. We don’t want to use weapons…” he says. But Palestinians have a perfect legal right to use any means to repel a foreign occupier.

“We want to use diplomacy. We want to use politics. We want to use negotiations…” Has he learned nothing from 64 years of non-stop ethnic cleansing and failed diplomacy?

The Israelis by all accounts are jubilant. Their Top Stooge has scored for them again. But Haniyeh is not amused. “It is not possible for any person, regardless of who he is … to give up a hand’s width of this Palestinian land, or to give up the right of return to our homes from which we were forced out…”

If you visit the Holy Land, Palestinians will urge you to tell their story when you get home. But does Abbas bother to tell it? How many activists, supporters, sympathizers, journalists and writers have had a chance to meet this great leader of the Palestinian underdogs… to be enthused by him… to question him? When he comes to London for “talks” it’s hush-hush. We never hear about it. His good-for-nothing embassy says nothing. His worse-than-useless press office in Ramallah says nothing.

In the struggle for their rights and independence the Palestinians have international law and UN resolutions on their side. But in the seven years Abbas has presided the West Bank has remained sealed, the theft of Palestinian land has continued unabated and the blockade on Gaza has not eased – it’s been tightened. Palestine goes on losing more than it gains.

The bottom line is that in the 21st Century – this new age of enlightenment – Palestinians remain prisoners in their own country. How miserably must a leader fail his people before they kick him out?

And how much longer will Western leaders continue to shirk their responsibilities towards our Christians and Muslims brothers and sisters in the Holy Land?

Fast-forward 12 years and today the loser Abbas is still there, widely regarded as a quisling and achieving nothing for his own country… but still doing Israel many favours.

Who, in 2007, could have believed that for 14 months in 2023/4 the international community would stand by and do nothing to stop the apartheid regime in Israel exterminating Palestinian civilians, women and children in their own homeland in revenge for their having struck back against over 7 decades of Israeli illegal and brutal military occupation, dispossession, theft of their lands, livelihoods and resources, and interference with their lives at every level?

Who, in 2007, would have believed that the US and UK — those champions of democracy, freedom and self-determination — would be supplying Israel with the munitions and other wherewithall to carry out a full-blooded genocide?

Who, in 2007, would have believed that the people of the US and UK could allow their sick-minded politicans to behave in such a despicable way?

And who, in 2007, would have thought Western Christendom would be so spineless as to stand idly by watching their Christian and Muslim brothers and sisters being cruelly slaughtered in Gaza and the West Bank — the very wellspring of their faith — and not even raise a whimper never mind mobilise their millions in opposition to such downright evil.

Gaza proves Humanity is far more Backward than we Thought Stuart LittlewoodDecember 23, 2024 NEW YORK, NEW YORK - SEPTEMBER 27: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks during the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) at the United Nations headquarters on September 27, 2024 in New York City. When I got home memories of the visit so haunted me that I sat down and wrote an article titled “See Gaza and Weep” describing my impressions in November of 2007. flattening Gaza to the ground SEE GAZA AND WEEP Traffic into Gaza through the smart new border ‘facility’ at Erez is down to a trickle since Israel branded this tiny Palestinian seaside enclave a “hostile entity” and imposed a blockade even harsher than before. A friend emailed: “Today in Gaza we have no cement to build graves for those who die.” Palestinians pray by the bodies of people killed in the Gaza Strip in front of the morgue in Deir al-Balah. [Adel Hana/AP Photo] We were also there to show solidarity with the whole population, Muslim and Christian, against the crippling economic sanctions that have led to this crisis. It remains a mystery to me why our largely Christian (but increasingly Muslim-inclusive) democracy in the UK so slavishly supports the Middle Eastern ethnocracy that’s doing this… Question: What has changed for the better? When he took up the post of president, Abbas would have sworn this solemn oath… “I swear to God almighty to be faithful to the Homeland and to its sacred places, and to the people and its national heritage, and to respect the Constitutional system and the law, and to safeguard the interests of the Palestinian people completely, as God is my witness.” We’ve seen how he respects his country’s Constitutional system. “It is not possible for any person, regardless of who he is … to give up a hand’s width of this Palestinian land, or to give up the right of return to our homes from which we were forced out…” If you visit the Holy Land, Palestinians will urge you to tell their story when you get home. LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS!(PART TWO)

    In our last study,we rested with one of King David's secrets,in always ensuring God's protection and provision at all times,and that's genuinely and honestly humbling himself before God always;
Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? (Psa 139: 7)
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. (Psa 139: 11)

    26. He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
    27. Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth....... (Psa 89: 26-28)

I repeat for emphasis sake, one of the things that pleases our Father most is, accepting our frailty and helplessness without HIM.*DAVID HAD NO TWO HEADS...HE ONLY BUSIED HIMSELF WITH KNOWING GOD MORE THROUGH GOD'S OWN WORD...AND IT PAID OFF*

Let's take a look at an experience I had in the School of Ministry. As always, names of people and church will be excluded for security sake.

One of our instructors related an experience when himself as an upcoming Gospel minister was invited to minister abroad,in the company of three renowned God's Generals in Nigeria...as at the time, one of the three was and is still a household name in Nigeria.

He(newbie minister)had his turn on the third night,...and everywhere, the atmosphere was charged and electrified,..infact,he was asked to minister on the fourth and last night with the other General..., because, they saw the Holy Spirit in action.

He said, later in his hotel room later that third night,he heard a knock on his door, and behold,it was the most popular General(another Nicodemus, you would say)! Humbled by his visit,he could barely utter a word.

The General explained his presence thus,*The first two nights paled into insignificance, the moment you took charge of the pulpit tonight... what's the secret? I had to come because, I can tell it was a message from above, please share with me*

Instantaneously, the newbie received the message, and passed it across thus,* The LORD said,as long as you remain a baby in My Hand, I will always bare you in My Arms, but when feel you have grown, and now an adult, I will gently drop you down to walk on your own*

The moment the newbie finished, the General broke down and wept, because the message was self explanatory... it's ICHABOD...those like him are living on past glory. According to the newbie, the General never went back to his room that night,as they prayed together all through. Both are very much alive today.

When we tell God(usually through our actions),that we are capable of taking care of ourselves, He backs off, for (HE HATES STRIFE,AND DOESN'T FORCE, UNLESS HIS PURPOSE DEMANDS IT). This is where I become sad, seeing and hearing people misinterpreting God's Word in the doctrine of Predestination...I still can't believe that a significantly greater percentage of Christians are yet being hoodwinked into believing the devil's*don't worry, relax* form of Christianity, when HIS WORD is clear on salvation. Indeed, satan so cheapen salvation by the promotion of his twisted version of Predestination (Once saved, always saved).

Back to our discourse, it was after Job discovered that, those he thought loved him, and will protect him,if need be,not only deserted him,but mocked him of being a secret sinner... including even his own wife(BUT DON'T BLAME THE WIFE,SHE SAW IT ALL,FROM HERO TO ZERO, IT'S OUT OF THE PAIN SHE SAW HER LOVING HUSBAND PASSING THROUGH.ALL THEIR CHILDREN BURIED IN ONE DAY, AND HER HUSBAND REBUKED HER, SHE UTTERED NOT A WORD,NOR LEFT HIM. INSTEAD,SHE MADE AMENDS, STILL STAYED GLUED TO HER HUSBAND,FED AND CARED FOR HIM THROUGHOUT THE TRIAL. A PILLAR OF STRENGTH, WHEN OTHERS MOCKED. INDEED SHE'S THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN,HENCE SHE DIDN'T REQUIRED TO BE PRAYED FOR UNLIKE THE FRIENDS).

So, it was only then he realised he was in trouble without God,...that he has offended his MAKER by flaunting his supposed righteousness before HIM, WHO only is perfectly righteous.

    Hear him;

    *I know that my Redeemer lives*(Job 19: 25).
Who but the Lord Jesus Christ could make such a sad list of broken friendships as Job does in this chapter? Let's hear what he says about them: *He caused my brothers to distance themselves from me, and my relatives as strangers departed… My neighbors departed, and my acquaintances forgot me.

The servants of my house and my maids considered me strange… my servant… does not answer me… my breath disgusts my wife… All my close friends hate me» (vv. 13-19). He had not a single arm of flesh left on which he could lean, when this new light shone upon him, leading him to say: *I know that my Kinsman-Redeemer lives,* and that in my flesh I am to see God.

The teaching of the Spirit of God is not limited to the conditions and circumstances of men . Job's language here is full of prophetic meaning, and rich in spiritual consolation. We, at least, can easily read in these words:

    I. The fact of redemption. *My Redeemer lives.*HE IS THE LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS.

What a relief for the downtrodden and bewildered soul to turn from failed earthly relationships to the ever-steadfast Kinsman on high, who lives forever to intercede for us... HE is and will ever be ready to deliver us from all our anguish. He will redeem our lives from destruction, and HE will crown us with goodness and mercy.

He vindicates the cause of all who trust in HIM . HE who redeems and buys the soul through HIS own BLOOD from HIM lives for the salvation and vindication of HIS OWN. The fact that HE, the eternal Son of God, condescended to be our Goel(Hebrew for Redeemer (close relative) is the mystery and wonder of infinite grace.

II. The joy of personal certainty. *I know.* EVERY DARKNESS WILL EVENTUALLY FLEE AT THE APPEARANCE OF HIS LIGHT*

Job knew that all his earthly friends had abandoned him, but he also knew that his next Kinsman in heaven, the Living One, would finally prove to be good and faithful. There were some things that Job did not know.

He did not know why he had been so suddenly stripped of all earthly comfort, and crushed to the dust with such a great burden of pain, but he knew and believed that " my Redeemer lives ,*and that HE lives for all things to work. for the good of those who love HIM.

He could hardly now speak of my brothers, my relatives, my neighbors, my servant, because they had all abandoned him, but he could say *MY REDEEMER.*

When the heart and the flesh fail, God will be the portion of the believing soul.. It will still be sweet to say, *my Redeemer,* when all the joys and friendships of this world have to be left behind.

III. The hope of HIS appearance .* For I know,....... and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: (Job 19: 25)

Job is now comforted having realised he isn't alone,no matter the weight of his sufferings, though he knows not from whence they came, but he certainly believed in the personal appearance of his great Kinsman-Redeemer on earth.

Now we know that this prophecy has been fulfilled, and that the Redeemer has come, and has taken away sin by the sacrifice of Himself: the seed of the woman has crushed the head of the serpent, and by the shedding of her blood has provided a ransom price for the souls of men.

The earth needed HIM, and HE has identified HIMSELF with its sins and pains by rising above it and dying for it. For us, these words remain prophetic, and we await the appearance of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ , who still as King of kings will finally rise on earth.

IV. The hope of the beatific vision . And after my skin is undone, now without flesh I will see God*
The flesh is the veil that hides the vision of God from the spirit of man . Even the Redeemer's flesh had to be rent as a veil, before the entrance could be opened for us ( Heb. 10:20 ).

The way Paul puts it is: *Absent from the body, ... present to the Lord* (2 Cor. 5:8, KJV). When he appears, we will be like him, because we will see him as he is.

*The pure in heart will see God .*
If there were no God to see, why would it be that the purest of hearts have this longing and hope within them? Of course, it does not follow that because a man is good and upright, he is in greater danger of being deceived and led astray in that most important of all questions: that of future hope.

    V. The confidence of ultimate satisfaction . «Whom I must see for myself, and my eyes will look at him; and no longer as a stranger» (v. 27,)
God's current dealings with Job are for him full of mysteries and contradictions,(he had to trust GOD'S WISDOM)

All things seem to be against him, but when he sees God apart from his flesh, he knows he will find that God, all along the way, has been by his side, bringing all things to work for his good. He will not see him as a stranger, but as his faithful relative - His Redeemer . Here «now we see through a mirror, dimly; but then we shall see face to face.”

What we do not know now we will know later. Our present circumstances may be as incomprehensible to human reason as his were to Job; but with the vision of our Divine Kinsman before us we receive the certainty that in HIS love HE does everything well . "When I wake up, I will be satisfied" (Ps. 17:15), in the presence of his countenance His.

This is our hope,as we learn to humble ourselves before our ETERNAL FATHER,TRUSTING HIS JUDGEMENTS TO BE THE BEST FOR US, RELYING SOLELY ON HIM, BLINDLY BELIEVING HIM, THAT WITH HIM,WE ARE ASSURED OF OUR SAFETY, AMEN!

Hear him; *I know that my Redeemer lives*(Job 19: 25). We, at least, can easily read in these words: I. *I know.* EVERY DARKNESS WILL EVENTUALLY FLEE AT THE APPEARANCE OF HIS LIGHT* Job knew that all his earthly friends had abandoned him, but he also knew that his next Kinsman in heaven, the Living One, would finally prove to be good and faithful. There were some things that Job did not know. He did not know why he had been so suddenly stripped of all earthly comfort, and crushed to the dust with such a great burden of pain, but he knew and believed that " my Redeemer lives ,*and that HE lives for all things to work. for the good of those who love HIM. He could hardly now speak of my brothers, my relatives, my neighbors, my servant, because they had all abandoned him, but he could say *MY REDEEMER.* When the heart and the flesh fail, God will be the portion of the believing soul.. It will still be sweet to say, *my Redeemer,* when all the joys and friendships of this world have to be left behind. III. The hope of HIS appearance .* For I know,....... and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: (Job 19: 25) Job is now comforted having realised he isn't alone,no matter the weight of his sufferings, though he knows not from whence they came, but he certainly believed in the personal appearance of his great Kinsman-Redeemer on earth. And after my skin is undone, now without flesh I will see God* The flesh is the veil that hides the vision of God from the spirit of man . *The pure in heart will see God .* If there were no God to see, why would it be that the purest of hearts have this longing and hope within them? Of course, it does not follow that because a man is good and upright, he is in greater danger of being deceived and led astray in that most important of all questions: that of future hope. V. The confidence of ultimate satisfaction . «Whom I must see for myself, and my eyes will look at him; and no longer as a stranger» (v. 27,) God's current dealings with Job are for him full of mysteries and contradictions,(he had to trust GOD'S WISDOM) All things seem to be against him, but when he sees God apart from his flesh, he knows he will find that God, all along the way, has been by his side, bringing all things to work for his good. He will not see him as a stranger, but as his faithful relative - His Redeemer . Here «now we see through a mirror, dimly; but then we shall see face to face.” What we do not know now we will know later. This is our hope,as we learn to humble ourselves before our ETERNAL FATHER,TRUSTING HIS JUDGEMENTS TO BE THE BEST FOR US, RELYING SOLELY ON HIM, BLINDLY BELIEVING HIM, THAT WITH HIM,WE ARE ASSURED OF OUR SAFETY, AMENπŸ™‡πŸ™!

  • GOD'S WORD IS SETTLED IN HEAVEN,(HE'S DONE WITH THIS WORLD) 2PT.3:9-13,PS.119:89

    LIGHT IN THE DARKNESS!(PART TWO)

    In our last study,we rested with one of King David's secrets,in always ensuring God's protection and provision at all times,and that's genuinely and honestly humbling himself before God always;
