Welcome back !
I told us to get a basic grasp of what *EXORCISM* is,to avoid much dwelling on it here.
But to refresh our memories on the truth we seek to establish,I told us that;
*No one filled with the Holy Spirit boasted, unnecessarily curse or threaten others,just to prove their worth, superiority and capability.*
That even Apostle Paul,when he was compelled to assert his authority,he had to apologize first,even before daring to talk about his exploits...WHICH UNDERLINES IN BROAD RED, GOD'S DISPLEASURE OF THE HABIT.
We have consistently heard from this platform that;
FOR EVERY LAW OR ACT OF GOD, LUCIFER HAS A COUNTERFEIT!
We begin today by getting the surface understanding of*EXORCISM* which simply put is ;
*Freeing one believed to be possessed by demonic or evil spirits.*
Exorcism as a term has far reaching roots associated with religious and paganistic undertones. If you're an avid student of God's Word (not Theology),it will be easy for you to understand the devil's mission to thwart every effort of God to free us from his grip,by trying to *play god* in our lives, trying to blacken Man's mind against God. Satan wants us to believe that God isn't Who He says He is. THE SNAKES OF PHARAOH'S MAGICIANS,IS A PROOF OF THIS.
Bear with me,I would want to pack so much into *one box*mainly because we've studied most of these truths in the past.
When God fulfilled His promise(by Prophet Joel),of the outpouring of the The Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts, the devil did same. The difference is that, his commisioned spirit comprises of the 3rd of the angels turned demons who rebelled with him at the onset,before the recruitment of men who willingly(out of worldly pleasures), submitted themselves to him.
Yet before then, EXORCISM has long existed in many other forms like sorcery,as evidenced by Pharaoh's snakes and Simon the Sorcerer,etc.
Thus,when Christ Jesus came casting out demons, healing persons from both physical and spiritual afflictions...THIS SUPERNATURAL MOVE OF GOD, THROUGH THE HOLY GHOST,was incorporated by early historians into the realm of exorcism,which beneath the surface,is actually sorcery, witchcraft and occultism.
I HAVEN'T SEEN ANYWHERE IN THE BIBLE(GOD'S AUTHENTIC WORD) WHERE, WHAT CHRIST JESUS,HIS APOSTLES,AND EARLY BELIEVERS DID, WAS EVER REFERRED TO AS *EXORCISM!*
I stand to be corrected on this.
The early BELIEVERS were faithful to everything that Christ Jesus represented,but satan wasn't going to let them be. And so devised ways to throw the *spanners into the works* that God had/has already got going. We are already conversant with much of these demonic designs from the pit of hell.
Thus, let's fastforward to the eventual church satan built from the original one established by Christ Jesus through His disciples,the eventual*CATHOLIC CHURCH* The devil invaded the entire landscape of the church,and using his agents, he incomporated practices that were alien to the true church,into God's worship. Among them was the practice of exorcism, which can be more fittedly be described as sorcery, witchcraft and other rituals like praying to and through *the dead* and so many other man-made doctrines. Satan was at his peak...his mission,just as always,was to destroy God's Church. But thank God for being God,failure remains his most trusted friend till today and forever,Amen!

14. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2Co 11: 14-15)
