• I have already started black soldier fly farming, next will be crickets. It really happened on its on I collect so much food waste from my local community the soldiers flies just showed up and now have become a part of the worm compost farming that I am running.

It’s just the reality of where our society is being pushed. For me it is about being the first to adjust even if it doesn’t happen, if it does I won’t experience the major shock as I have willingly taken the transition phase in order to profit from everyone else’s shock.

  • Here's one of my ideas I think could be in our future:
To print our own clothes using 3D printing technology. We would have a digital wardrobe, possibly in the form of NFTs, that could be accessed from anywhere. No walk in closets needed.

This would be a more convenient and sustainable way of obtaining new clothes, as we could produce only what we need and reduce our reliance on fast fashion. Scientists are also working on developing biodegradable materials that could compost after use, further reducing the environmental impact of clothing production.

  • Composting is a natural process of collecting organic ingredients such as food scraps from your kitchen or leaves from your yard. The decomposed product can then be used as a nutrient-rich fertilizer to nourish plants.

  • I've been having a hell of a rough time with the pain that a wisdom tooth has been causing me. On top of that the wind has been on a rage (see the snapped tree on the photo), and it has been very rainy. Tempting to just stay in bed and wait for death, which I did for a while, but then I got up, fed the compost and experienced some nice moments ????

  • About 2 months ago, this horse started coming by for water from the kiddy pool we fill for the dogs. We started feeding him alfalfa lately and just treated him for worms and flie. I guess we unofficially adopted him, and named him "Shea". Those circles you see on his back are the fly repellent that's encircling the wounds, it's working great. He's very tame and seems super happy, plus he's keeping the lawn trimmed and proving manure for the compost pile, it's a win win for everyone haha!

  • The compost pile I started a couple months ago is finally cooking good, so it was time to mix it up and layer more fresh vegetation with a little dirt and debris. Im liking to rake up all these bamboo leaves and use that for my dry layer on top of the rest. Makes for pretty boring pictures but boy do the plants and herbs just love the compost energy! ✌???????????? Eat well and try to connect with the food sources around you no matter where you are you can grow and supplement with live wholesome foods. ????????????

  • Do you buy #bonebroth from the store or make your own? I only make my own, because the store bought brands filter out all of the good stuff.

#Collagen is a #protein used by just about every system in your body that is naturally abundant in the bones, skin and cartilage in all animals. When you buy bone broth from the store all of the fats and collagen are filtered out. It's used as a thickening agent, so you know a product doesn't have it when it doesn't gel up when you put it in the fridge or haven't cooked the bones long enough.

My routine is to freeze all of our meat bones in a gallon #Ziploc bag until its brimming full. Then I add them to our 8qt slow cooker topped off with water and #slowcook them on high for at least 40 hours. I've found that it takes about that long to get the most out of them. The end result is around a gallon and a half of delicious #broth for soups and at least a pound of meat that we feed to the dogs. The softened bones can then be added to your compost.

Nothing in my house goes to waste. We #reuse, #compost and use every method possible to get the most out of our resources.
