    Title : A thin line
It was a warm Sunday evening in my apartment in Lagos, The buzzing sound of the fridge made me jump up from what seemed to be a nap, damn how long was I out I looked at the watch, no clue when I slept off. The strong smell of Barbecue was strongly filling my nostrils. I looked to my left my life was sleeping soundly as well besides me , I just realized there is smoke coming from the living room. Slipped into my flip flops and quickly rushed out to find out what the smoke was. . It was me laying lifeless on the floor with what looked like a burnt cushion I could barely make out what was going on at the moment I was damn confused, stood there for a couple of minutes before it dawned on me I had some Jack Daniels before I slumped into the cushion where my body now layed with an empty bottle in what used to be my chest. I still couldn't move still trying to figure out what was going on, how did I in the center of the room burnt and everything else seemed to be untouched by the fire.
As I stood there, frozen in disbelief, I tried to make sense of the surreal scene unfolding before me. The room was filled with an eerie silence, broken only by the crackling of the burnt cushion. I couldn't comprehend how I had ended up on the floor, lifeless, while the rest of the room remained untouched.
Feeling a surge of panic, I desperately tried to move, but my body remained unresponsive. Fear coursed through me as I contemplated the possibility that this might not be a dream after all. My mind raced with questions, struggling to find a logical explanation for the inexplicable.
Suddenly, a gentle breeze rustled through the room, caressing my face and dispersing the smoky haze. I felt a strange warmth emanating from within me, as if an invisible force was attempting to revive my lifeless body. Gradually, I regained control of my limbs and slowly rose to my feet, bewildered yet relieved.
As I took a tentative step forward, the scene around me shifted. The burnt cushion transformed back into its original form, as if the fire had never consumed it. The air filled with the tantalizing aroma of the barbecue once again, as if beckoning me to embrace the familiarity of reality.
Confusion still lingered within me, but I couldn't deny the sense of relief washing over me. Perhaps it had all been an incredibly vivid dream—a vivid dream that had somehow felt so achingly real. I shook my head, attempting to clear away the remnants of the disorienting experience.
The next day was a Monday morning can't help but feel depressed I hate Mondays and the details of my dream last night still lingered at the back of my mind which has wierdly been in repeat ever since I woke up. Just concluded the days work and my wife asked me to pick up some groceries on my way back home I decided to stop and get some alcohol to ease off this wierd depressing feeling, my mum's been calling all day our relationship is not really that solid so I barely talk to her I wonder what she wants (I ll call her back when I am settled back at home).
Got home dropped the groceries and decided to relax before I changed out of my suit, plugged my phone and opened the alcohol I bought, sat on my favourite two piece couch and plugged my phone and took a sip and the another and some more and slept off there with my phone laying face flat on my chest connected to the socket and next thing..
Jumped up to the sound of the fridge buzzing beside my wife but this time wearing my special white pyjamas my wife bought for me as our wedding anniversary present.
Awe (that smell again) this time very real and hitting my nostrils strongly..

I sat up in bed, blinking rapidly to clear the sleep from my eyes. The scene around me seemed eerily familiar—the buzzing fridge, my wife soundly asleep beside me, and the tantalizing aroma of barbecue wafting through the air. A sense of déjà vu washed over me as I tried to make sense of the situation. Hadn't I experienced this before?
Confusion gnawed at my mind as I replayed the events from the previous night in my head. The dream—or was it a dream?—of the burnt cushion and my lifeless body still haunted me. I shook off the unsettling thoughts and decided to investigate the source of the enticing smell.
Slipping on my flip flops, I made my way towards the living room. As I entered, my eyes widened in disbelief. There, in the center of the room, lay a burnt cushion—just like in my dream. The sight sent shivers down my spine, and a rush of memories flooded back.

Suddenly, my gaze shifted towards the empty bottle of Jack Daniels on the coffee table. It hadn't been there before. Was this a cruel prank, or was something more mysterious at play?

Again I jolted awake, I found myself in a state of confusion, trying to make sense of my surroundings. I glanced around the room, and everything appeared to be the same—the familiar furniture, the framed pictures on the wall, and the buzzing fridge. But something was off.

I turned to my side and saw my wife sleeping soundly, her peaceful expression untouched by the bewildering events that had just unfolded in my dream. With a racing heart, I sat up and took a moment to gather my thoughts. It felt as if I had slipped into another reality, one that overlapped with my dreams in an uncanny way.

Feeling a strange mix of curiosity and trepidation, I carefully got out of bed and tiptoed into the living room. The memories of my dream lingered in my mind, playing over and over like a broken record. The burnt cushion, the sensation of being lifeless, and the overpowering smell of smoke—all of it felt vivid and real, even though I desperately wanted to believe it was just a dream. s I reached the living room, I held my breath, half-expecting to find evidence of the fire that had consumed me in my dream. But to my relief and confusion, everything was as it should be. The room was untouched, devoid of any signs of smoke or destruction.

My mind was spinning with questions. Was I trapped in some sort of time loop, where my dreams and reality intertwined? Or perhaps there was something more profound happening, something beyond my understanding.
With a deep breath, I made a decision. I would embrace the uncertainty and explore this new chapter in my life, where the boundaries between dreams and reality blurred. I would seize the opportunity to unravel the mysteries that lay before me, to delve into the depths of my subconscious and discover the true nature of my existence.

And so, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, venturing into the realms of the mind and embracing the enigmatic interplay between dreams and reality. Along the way, I encountered extraordinary experiences and met fascinating characters who shared similar tales of the inexplicable.

nd so, dear reader, as you delve into the realms of your own dreams, remember that reality is not always what it seems. Embrace the mysteries that lie within, for they hold the power to transform your life in ways you never thought possible. And with that, our story comes to an end, but your own adventure is just beginning.

  • Greetings bosses and welcome to my post.

The world could be a cruel place to be in and it could also be a beautiful place as well as a stressful place. What the world is to you is dependent on the hard and smart work you put into your path of financial vindication.

This post is based on a true life story, and I want to use this medium to motivate everyone out there who think that life is worst to them.

Life is really cruel and heartless to me, but in all, we move forward never to go back wards. I believe that giving up isn't an option because all other works will be a waste if I give up now.

    **THE STORY**

Nwothini was born to a great family of 4 with him being the second son, while having an eldest sister and two other brothers.

Growing up, things began to go north and I had to fend for myself from a very young age. I was around 6-8 years old when I first made my 2 thousand Naira with hard work. Back then, 2 thousand Naira is like 6 thousand Naira now, and I was paid this money on a weekly basis.

I worked with a wholesale shop. I was the short distance transporter then and my boss transported long distance. At times I do follow him for long distance transportation while his wife was the accountant. Back then, I do use a wheel barrow for short distance transportation and it was really stressful.

I worked for sometime after which I quit because of the stress and my body was too young to keep up with that stress.

After some time, when I was around 9 - 10 years of age, I got another job where I was paid the same amount.

I worked with a man who bakes meat roll, egg role, fish roll, burger and many things. (He taught me this skill which I've forgotten now though) and still paid me cause the work load was much. After I finished baking with him, the suppliers will carry it on their show glass and hawk it around.

I got feeding from there a x I didn't have to spend much money because after everything, I will save some, and bring some home to add to the feeding money for my family.

Dad left when I was born, so it was just mom and she refused to remarry.

I thought I had found vindication from my current work, because I was able to support my family financially but life had a very interesting path for me.

I wouldn't say we were poor, but middle class because everyone strived hard to make sure that we survived.

After some years of working there and schooling at the same time, mom said we had to relocate to the east (imo state Nigeria) which we did, but I was really pained because I was making a living and I was really happy with my current work.

We relocated to the east thinking that the path will be better, not knowing that things was about to get really bad. After much struggles, I couldn't bare it no more, so I had to look for something to do.

That was when I started going for laborer job. I mixed cement for a brick layer at the age of 16 and I did it for some time and still doing it till date.. yes even as a Nursing student.

After all the ups ad downs, I managed to graduate from secondary school with a good grade which still surprises me up till date, and that was when I decided to do nursing.

My nursing career is as a result of what life has thrown to me and I really don't want nobody to face such. I'm just summarizing things here to be honest.

I started my nursing career few years ago and it has been filled with ups and downs. We had a hangout in hive learners community last Monday and I told them I nearly committed suicide at one stage of life, but seeing why I started, looking at the people that are with me, and looking at tons of people out there I will help via charity, I decided to keep living.

Currently, I am a man of many talents.

At my current age, I do go for carpentry works,

I carry blocks for a block company,

I manage my provision store which I opened with the money gotten from the little jobs I do,

I still know how to fix wires (electrician)

I know how to sew (tailoring)

And I am still a blogger and crypto spot trader.
If someone told you that I do these things, will you believe? NO. I do anything for money except illegal things.

I do anything that could get money and all these money I forward to my schooling.. yes.. when I started hive newly, I removed the money I got due to school problems, and even in Steemit (I was an author there too... My username is @ delightharris), I had to power down and channel the money into my school.

Currently I am owing a 125,000 Naira but I'm just hoping and working hard towards it. I believe in my hard and smart works and I believe in my creator to give me strength... What don't kill me will always make me stronger in life, and this, I will accomplish and get my license to practice, then impact the world positively.

    **THE MOTIVATION**

One things I've come to learn in life is that, if you're like a Christian that prays for God to do everything for you, my dear you'll perish. I believe that God has given us "dominion." In genesis he said "and let them have dominion." This implies that I have the power to do things, I have the authority to command things to work for me, but all these I could achieve through hard and smart work, including determination, self control, positive spirituality, loyalty, humility, as well as good vibes.

I am a student nurse currently who is in his Final years, and my dream of charity is about to be accomplished by Grace.

So what is holding you? If I could realize myself at age 6 and get out of my comfort zone to work, what about you? Yes two people ain't the same, but you're better than a 6 year old.

Irrespective of what life is throwing at us, we should be strong enough to fight head on with it. What doesn't kill you will make you stronger and, and if I die trying, it's better for me than to lead a miserable and poor life.

If you feel like crying in the process, shout out loud and cry your heart out.. if you feel angry and annoyed, look at your reflexion in a mirror and ask yourself, what is wrong and how I'm I going to solve this problem.. if you feel like giving up, remind yourself why you started and the people who are hoping that you make it in life, and when you reach your dreams, **put in kindness to the world,** help the needy, and tell them to help other persons and by so doing, the world will be a better place.

The change you seek begins from you.

Thank you for reading, I really appreciate you stopping by, and all the support I have been getting.

    I love you all.

Few weeks ago my brother came back from school and during one of our discussions he asked if I'd seen one of Tom Hanks latest movie. It was titled; **'A Man Called Otto'**. The movie was interesting, quite the Tom Hanks way.
I really loved how the writers used simple humour to spice up the whole thing.

Tom Hanks used to be my favorite actor and there was a time I went hunting for all his movies and made sure I saw them. But now, I'm a liberal artist and believe all artwork is a masterpiece of its own and subjectivity though strange is beautiful (as long as it's not extreme).
    ___
I was very clueless as to what to do today because I had no access to light and was extremely tired. So when I noticed I was overly being lazy I grabbed a pen and tried making a sketch.
Luckily, I found this in the gallery of one of my abandoned devices.
It's a drawing from way back by another artist.

LeoFinance utilized zealy.io in launching a campaign with the aim of mass adoption. Whether our understanding of the word “mass” is the same as in the mind of the development team, is another question. Let us just take the plain meaning of that goal without going into a debate about whether that is achievable or not. If the goal is just to achieve 5,000 Monthly Active Users, I think that is more realistic and if that is what is meant for mass, I am fine with that.
Now, in launching this campaign, those of us who participate in it are given quests to complete. One of these is labeled under CYOA-Finance Bro. Sixteen quests fall under this category. They are as follows:

    Info for Bros
    Finance Writer
    Business Writer
    Economics Writer
    Crypto Writer
    FinTech Writer
    Politics Writer
    SEO Lion
    Hive Journalist
    LeoVerse Journalist
    Bitcoin Journalist
    Ethereum Journalist
    EVM Journalist
    Blockchain Journalist
    Alpha Hunter, and
Final Boss – The Finance Bro

    Source
I forgot how did I accomplish the first quest. As for the remaining quests, I find them very challenging. With my background in financial literacy, I can write about finance. Economics too would be an easy topic for me. Though I didn’t earn any formal degree in this discipline, I read a lot about representative economists from the Austrian School such as Ludwig von Mises, F. A. Hayek, Ron Paul, and Tom Woods. As for business, that’s not my field though at one time I wrote a research paper for someone taking a master’s degree in business while I was still writing at oDesk around 2009. There, I learn how to write SEO articles. But you know, any skill that is not utilized for quite some time, you will soon forget it and in the end, you might lose it. That’s also what I feel about thesis writing.
There was a time in 2006 when writing a thesis was easy. I thought that just using the same method I used in my master’s thesis, I can write one thesis every two to three months. But after several years of not utilizing the skill, simply writing a term paper now is quite difficult for me. I am now taking my Ph. D. in Intercultural Studies and we are done with the first three courses last February, but until now, I haven’t started yet writing our research papers. One is due on 31st May and the other two are on 31st July.
Returning to the above quests, crypto, and fintech is also not easy, but I can try. Politics, though controversial I can also try this, but please don’t be mad with me if we don’t share similar political persuasion. I am more inclined toward classical liberalism with its view of free markets, sound money, limited government, and low taxes. These ideas are unpopular these days due to the dominance of Marxist and socialist ideologies in the academe.
SEO, I can also try that. I just need to review how to find those keywords to write about. As for the six journalists’ quests, oh! I need more guidance on how to do it. The last two, Alpha Hunter and Final Boss, I am clueless.
I think that’s it for now. In the next post, I intend to continue what I started here and that is I want to break down a 5,600-plus presentation I did in November 2021 into separate articles as entries to complete the zealy quests.
    Grace and peace!

  • Though clueless, I participated in the Zealy campaign on May 1st. After reading @libertycrypto27’s post, the question in my mind has been clarified. In this post, let me share my experience so far.
    New Activities I Tried
During the past three days, I explored activities that are new to me. One is the idea of “Calendar Threading” where participants are given a prompt to give a hint in micro-posting. My first two were successful: #mememonday and #greentuesday. I had difficulty understanding #pawfectwednesday and failed to submit an entry for the #travelthursday because I was just staying in my office. Tomorrow, perhaps, I can join again for #foodiefriday is easy to understand.
See the guide below on what to post each day of the week:
    ![01-Daily Focus.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/rzc24-nftbbg/23tHSiQpPHHtPaWEoiCUUmFEEGHU2b8GgEEvSCCTJT4V9srsVQCVfTZJ14VoTKPd5N1pw.png)
    [Source ](https://zealy.io/c/leofinance-4960/questboard/a7e9542c-cab9-4a5a-b65e-902d8cd07d80)
This next activity is not exactly new. I have been doing this for quite some time. I am just glad that LeoFinance added this as part of the quest, and that is to share a summary of meaningful articles and to post a comment to check the source of the articles. I selected articles published by @taskmaster4450 and @geekgirl. TM’s article is about the reasons why he believes that Hive can become the largest financial institution in the world. And as for GG, she shares about the growing number of Hive accounts and Hivers increasing their HBD savings. She also added that HBD is just like Hive prepared for mass adoption. That’s very encouraging and motivational that prompted me to start adding to my HBD savings.
After three days of participating in the Zealy campaign, I never thought I could do it. Despite my hectic schedule yesterday, I was able to complete 63 threads. Though that’s normal for many threaders, to me that is already a very challenging task.
After yesterday’s activity, today at around 6:38 PM Philippine time, I just managed to come up with 18 threads. Not sure if I can beat the number the previous day.
    The 10,000.00 USD Incentive
I assume that what many find interesting in this campaign is the incentive attached to it. Imagine having a share even a small portion of that $10,000.00 reward for those who will be joining this promotional campaign. Though it is not clear to me how this incentive will be distributed, I just entered the campaign for fun and exploration, that is, to learn something that I know little about.
Except for that 10,000.00 USD reward, there are also other ways to win in this game. Unfortunately, I don’t understand the mechanics of how to participate in them. There is this 200,000 HIVE power delegation, NFTs, and LEO Power delegation. I feel lost as to the exact procedure to represent a tribe.
    Growth of My Experience Points
So far, my Experience Points (xp) jumped from less than 50 to 775 after completing 34 quests. If you are curious about what this campaign is, you can check it by clicking the link below:
    https://zealy.io/c/leofinance-4960/invite/-SUdNg2GksluXvXyoGd6l
Thirty-seven more days to go before the end of this campaign. If you want to have a piece in the mentioned prize, the minimum steps you can do are just to sign in once a day, accomplish the assigned quests, or simply comment on others’ threads. That’s how my xp grew after three days.
    Grace and peace!

  • As you all may be aware, i have been playing around with the Hive Blockchain for the past week. I just recently figured out something i had no clue of through trial and error. I noticed that my SoMee Mana or Weight, is completely unrelated to LEO and also completely unrelated to PoB. In fact, they are all unrelated. If you are low on SoMee Mana you can be at 100% on your LEO mana and PoB Mana. I am thrilled to have learned this. I still don't understand why my Mana is showing 45% on hivestats.io. My SoMee Mana is what is at 45% because of the beating it has taken, not my LEO Mana nor My PoB mana. There might be a relation between SoMee, the rest of the platforms, and Hive Mana. I don't really understand how it works yet. Maybe one of you can explain it to me. Check images below!

  • Greywarden > It baffles me how Lawfirms and Lawyers that claim to know title 7 have no clue that an Employer does not grant exemptions and cannot grill employees requesting unnecessary and corroborating evidence about their sincerely held religious beliefs, as their actions will be challenged as retaliatory or as part of a pattern of Harassment > https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/guidance/section-12-religious-discrimination#h_79076346735821610749860135

As i have mentioned on many occassions. The University of Miami Miller Schools of Medicine refused to accommodate my sincerely held religious beliefs. The Title 7 Lawyers i have spoken to lately believe that the University of Miami's Incompetent Lawyers are going to grill me.. I mean, they can if they want. My answer to them is that title 7 speaks about beliefs that are sincerely held, not facts that are sincerely held. A belief is not a fact. By law, i do not need to prove my sicnerely held religious beliefs to a Lawyer, nor an employer as those aren't facts but beliefs.
An employer however can make a limited inquiry about the sincerity of an Employees religious beliefs if the accomodation request does not provide enough information and the Employer has a doubt about the sincerity https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/guidance/section-12-religious-discrimination#h_71848579934051610749830452

The above would be a problem where the employee failed to explain the conflict as to how the Employers policies violate the employees religious beliefs for example. The limited inquiry should be to ask the Employee to explain the conflict. Once the conflict is explained, the accomodation should be discussed, unless such accomodation posses an undue hardship to the employer's business practice.
However, this Employer never even considered an accomodation for weekly pcr testing that violates my sincerely held religious beliefs. He considered the pcr test to be the accomodation for my religious conflict against the vaccine. Although that may be a reasonable accomodation for some people. It wasn't a reasonable accomodation for me, for it forces me to participate in deception agreeing to be sick when i am not. I cannot participate in deception. It would be to dishonor the Eternal God of the Universe. That is apart from the fact that the devices have chemicals that go into the body which defiles, hence violating my sincerely held religious beliefs.

If the agreeing to be sick, when i am not part is confusing to you. Let me explain a little more in detail. The reason why i wrote agreeing to be sick when i am not sick is deception and violates my sincerely held religious beliefs, is because you are assumed to be sick, and a danger to the public if you do not agree to test. This was exactly what hospitals were requiring of their Employees. They did not care to violate the Employee's religious beliefs.

The answer is that these lawfirms are figting on the side of the Corporations doing the discrimination. It is hard to find a lawyer or lawfirms that aren't on the side of the Corporations, and are on the side of the Law. It is why an ordinary guy like me knows Title 7 better than they do. These slimmy lawfirms and lawyers do not care about title 7 nor the law. I will take this fight to them. My charges against the University of Miami will not go away.. I will fight this till the end because i know i am on the side of the law and justice.
Greywarden > It baffles me how Lawfirms and Lawyers that claim to know title 7 have no clue that an Employer does not grant exemptions and cannot grill employees requesting unnecessary and corroborating evidence about their sincerely held religious beliefs, as their actions will be challenged as retaliatory or as part of a pattern of Harassment > https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/guidance/section-12-religious-discrimination#h_79076346735821610749860135

  • At this rate christopherkramer.10 will not be able achieve any of the #goals he's set for onboarding until at least 2030. By then #SoMee will have failed.
Your #marketing #strategy is a joke and that's why the majority of the #content here is shallow and akin to #spam. 3000 users in 6 months and you expect 5 mil by June or July?
Time to either quit or hire someone who knows what they are doing in marketing, a hype person for onsite promotion through content competitions and challenges to liven things up and promote organic meaningful content.
You obviously have no clue, just a vague idea for a #SocialMedia site, but no other skills or an idea how to make it happen.

  • The Lost Saber Mine:

In the fall of 1876, a successful business man from Georgia named John Saber, arrived in Prescott Arizona to try his luck in gold mining. John Saber purchased numerous mining claims along Lynx Creek but he didn't care much for how crowded the place was, and he wanted to find a place that might produce better gold than Lynx Creek.

By the Spring of 1877, Saber set off alone from Prescott into the dangerous Bradshaw Mountains with only his horse and a pack mule with few supplies and a bulk of mining equipment. Within a month he returned in town with two saddle bag's full of beautiful quartz laced with gold. He purchased two more pack animals and loaded them with as much supplies as he could and even more mining equipment.
A Captain stationed at Ft Whipple asked to escort the prospector with his detachment to as far as Rose Peak (Now Antelope Peak) as the Apache were recently active in the mountains nearby.

Saber agreed and stated that his recent discovery was just a days ride from Rose Peak. Once at the peak and having camped for two days, the military escort continued their patrol and Saber returned to his mine. This was the last time the citizens of Prescott ever seen John Saber alive.

During the late summer, a Chinese laborer collecting firewood from one of the many mining camps came upon a dead man sitting upright against a Ponderosa Pine, his horse and a pack animal hobbled nearby and heavily dehydrated. When others arrived they noticed that this was the man's camp and that there was no sign of foul play. While going through the dead man's clothes, they found documents, a book and a pocket watch identifying the man as John Saber.

Upon closer inspection they could see the cause of death, Saber was bitten by a Rattlesnake and had a slow, agonizing death.

In one of Saber's pack's was 100lbs of crushed rich gold ore which was ready for smelting. Obviously he was making his way into town to have his discovery properly assayed and possibly even file a legitimate claim, but sadly never made it.

No attempt was made to find his mine during that time as the Bradshaw's were so active with the Apache raiding the mining camps and local ranches.

The Saber mine has never been found and the only real clue we have is that it is a day's ride from Rose Peak (Now Antelope Peak). If this mine was found, I believe it would be quite the discovery!

If while on your adventures this week, you find yourself near the Bradshaw Mountains and happen to be near Antelope Peak, maybe stop and take a look around. You never know what you might find!!!!!

(Please follow and respect State, Federal laws and Private Property, A lot of this area is Private land and Federal Mining claims so if your unsure it never hurts to ask permission)

I hope everyone has a fun and exciting week!

  • You've seen this painting a thousand times before.

It's American Gothic, painted by Grant Wood in 1930, one of the world's most famous works of art.

But it has a hidden meaning, and there's even a clue. These two people might actually be the King and Queen of the Underworld...

  • Greywarden >This is brutal everyone. Most Historians don't even know the definitions of Public and Private Sector.

Checkout Bel for example refrence: Bel "against the mainstream," P3.

Bel >"In addtion, the delivery of some public services that were produced by Government prior to the 1930's, especially social and labor related services, was transferred to the private sector, mainly to organizations within the party"

Greywarden > "Transferred to the Private Sector, mainly to organizations within the party?" I mean, this absolutely makes no sense if we consider the actual definitions. Mind you, this is a historian who seems to be clueless of the fact that State and Public are Polar Opposites of Individual and Private. The Nazi Party was not "the Private Sector." The Nazi Party was the State. The State is not Private! How a Historian reaches this erroneous conclusion beats me.
