Okay so alot of who-ha regarding the recent update on the video feature. Many have reacted, commented and even down voted each other on the SoMee platform.
Here's the question a community member asked: "Any timeline estimates for short video"
Here's @[[24][user]] (SoMee's CEO) response: "We just received delivery of the final changes requested for live stream, so are testing those next couple of days and plan to push to production. After that we begin short video work which I believe was estimated 7-10 working days. @marphil_llc knows exact dev estimate."
Now I totally understand the sentiments the community are having. So the reactions are given and everyone will have their own take on this, as it boils down to 2 things. 1)Patience and 2) Amount invested.
If anyone of these sentiments are affected then the reaction will be what we are seeing today and the days before this. Where $1000+ might be a huge invest for one, $10000+ will most understandably be for another.
Now I know you might say we always miss deadlines and nothing goes as planned. The response for that you get is in development things change, timelines aren't always written in stone, things can get delayed etc. The others may react saying not to spread FUD and how that can affect their investment and demoralise the team and so on.
My take on this is there are always 2 sides of a coin, yet the coin is the same. So the two reactions are understandable for the same project. Our aim at the end of the day is common, which is SoMee's success. So let's make that happen. The teams duty is to develop and deliver. The communities duty is to support, use the platform and spread the word. We are a strong team and have been here long enough to understand, that the platform has changed and progressed though it feels forever to some.
Let's now cheer up as it's the weekend, post motivating content to boost the SoMee team and in turn earn SME!
