In the last photo I shared from the #JuniperSpur Trailhead in the #BurningCoalVein section of the #LittleMissouriNationalGrasslands, [domino.the.cat] suggested that I should show a picture from the top of the conical shaped mound in the image. He was of course joking, because it doesn't look easily climbable by a mere human, though I did manage to get one myself, LMAO. Maybe I'll have to invite him on a trip, so I can strap a Gopro onto him. This is only half up actually, but close enough. Around the back of the mound is a pretty large rock formation that I did climb onto and just happened to get some great shots of the surrounding #scenery. You can see our RV parked at the #Trailhead where we decided to #camp out for the night. Since [AlphaHippie] is doxing(jk) me in his travel pics, I decided to update my avatar and put a face to my account. Everywhere he goes I go as well. He's my chauffer actually, since my arms are not strong enough to handle the RV or the pontoon boat these days. This is one of my favorite pictures, because it's the first time in a long time I decided to join AH and the pups for a short hike down the trail. Well, the first time for a trail of this difficulty level. AH found me a nice branch to use as a walking stick, whittled a handle and a point at the other end and off we went. I'm glad I did, because the differing perspectives of the scenery as we walked made each one unique as we descended into the shallow valleys and ascended back up. Lucy is checking out the scenery and new smells around the #NaahDaahHey #trailhead at the #BurningCoalVein in the #LittleMissouriNationalGrasslands. We stopped here on our way through #NorthDakota for the night on one of our road trips. There was a little #campground down the hill, but the #views up here were so much better. Since we were in the middle of nowhere and no one was around, we figured there would be no harm in camping at the trailhead instead. We were right. The views here are just nonstop amazing.
