My almost Steve-Irwin-stingray-death-moment. I went ahead of my buddies to a crevice where I saw 2 rays going back and forth but didn’t flee. They were stirring up sand and I didn’t get a clear photo. I thought I move in , get a shot then go. The ground started vibrating there and the huge Ray appeared buried in the sand. Roberto filmed me with his GoPro. Going underneath me, it could have stung me and then ???? ☠️

Last night was the #FullMoon, most popularly known as the #WolfMoon. I caught it early this morning while recording the #sunrise in the opposite direction. I tried three different cameras in an attempt to get the moon's detail and found out that both my cellphone and #Gopro11 are ill suited for the job. Though they are both supposed to be top of the line, they just aren't great for this. The problem with the #Gopro is that the viewing angle is simply too wide, even when set in linear view. Not being able to zoom in makes it hard to get any real detail on a specific object, though I haven't tried cropping the image to test that theory yet. My #UlefoneArmor18T has an 108mp camera with a #SonyCensor, but it's pretty bad in lowlight situations and the same in high luminosity captures as well. My 48mp #MotoZ4 with the #HasselbladMod is much better. This shot was taken with my #CanonT7i and still the detail isn't great. I chalk that up to me being a novice and having only low/mid level lenses. One of these days I'll make a sacrifice for better ones or a newer camera altogether. In the last photo I shared from the #JuniperSpur Trailhead in the #BurningCoalVein section of the #LittleMissouriNationalGrasslands, [domino.the.cat] suggested that I should show a picture from the top of the conical shaped mound in the image. He was of course joking, because it doesn't look easily climbable by a mere human, though I did manage to get one myself, LMAO. Maybe I'll have to invite him on a trip, so I can strap a Gopro onto him. This is only half up actually, but close enough. Around the back of the mound is a pretty large rock formation that I did climb onto and just happened to get some great shots of the surrounding #scenery. You can see our RV parked at the #Trailhead where we decided to #camp out for the night. Have you heard of #SunGazing? Well, if you have I don't quite sun gaze in that way, but I do watch the #sunrise each morning. This was the first morning in a long while where the clouds were broken up enough to see it and get some good colors. This was taken from my front yard. My desk sits right in front of a window where this view is what I see most of the day. I can't complain. Here's the first real photo I've been able to take as a test for my new Ulefone Armor 18T. Not too shabby. Next week Tuesday is the #peak of the #Geminids #Meteor Shower. I'm thinking about heading out to our favorite camping spot along the rim of the #BadlandsNationalPark to view them. I just bought a #Gopro11Black and this will be the perfect test for it. Do you plan to catch the Geminids?
