If we are God conscious enough,it will deliver us from their trap. PLEASE, ALWAYS BEAR IN MIND MY STANCE, I AM NOT BETTER THAN ANYONE.YOU MIGHT BE BETTER THAN ME, FOR ALL I KNOW,AND SO,WE ARE TALKING TO OURSELVES. WE ARE ALL DEPENDANTS ON GOD'S GRACE Now,there are quite a number of subtly and oftentimes really dangerous characteristics of end-time apostates in Jude and Second Peter. We don't need to go far to look for their parallels in our churches today. And indeed,very sadly enough,those we ought to be looking up to for guidance, are actually the ones promoting it....our church leaders. In fact, they are so common I don’t even need to find examples to prove my point. The reader, no doubt, will know of many of them without introduction. Okay,here we go; 👉 UNSAVED. The most profound characteristic is that these apostates are not even born again. Jude says they deny “the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ” (Jude 4). I think what I find difficult to believe is that they crept in unawares; For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jud 1: 4). If they crept in unawares,how long will it take a Holy Spirit controlled church to fish them out from their various departments. Peter says they are “false” prophets (1), reserved for the day of judgment (9), will “perish in their own corruption” (12), and for whom “the mist of darkness is reserved forever” (17). A hypocrite in the Bible (contrary to popular belief) is usually a lost person. He is not a true believer living poorly but is a poor unbeliever pretending to live truly, and can’t. Let's again at how Jude and Peter put it. Jude says they “crept in unawares” (4) and feast among the believers “without fear” of reprisal (12). Peter says they are “among the people” (1) and “feast with you” (13). Imagine! Like Judas, they have given some testimony of salvation and received baptism. Paul told the Galatians they were “false brethren unawares brought in” (Gal. 2:4). All of these descriptions come from words that mean to come in stealthily, falsely. But my disposition remains static... AND THAT IS, WHERE WERE THE SHEPHERDS? NO WONDER GOD IS SO WROTH WITH US,THE SHEPHERDS, FOR,WE NOT ONLY GAVE THEM ROOM,WE WERE TAUGHT OF THEM TO TAKE GOD'S INSTRUCTIONS LIGHTLY...YES, THAT'S HOW THE DEVIL CAN GO TO DESTABILIZE GOD'S WORK,...but he will always lose,and that's the good thing. But never underestimate the fury of his impending doom. He will do anything to take man down with him. WE SHALL NOT GO DOWN WITH HIM, AMEN! For example,we don’t have an “easy believeism” problem today. WHAT WE HAVE TODAY, IS A “NO BELIEVEISM PROBLEM! We may have made our mistakes in the past by promoting too many quick salvation decisions but even that was better than requiring no specific decision or experience. Today a person is received in the church with a personal angel-sighting story! And they feast among us without fear of conviction. 👉 UNGODLY Jude uses the word “ungodly” six times in this short one-chapter book, four of those times in verse 15. In verse four he simply says of these men that they are “ungodly men.” Peter compares them to the ungodly in Noah’s day and those in Sodom and Gomorrah (5-6). “Ungodly” means not to venerate, to reverence, to worship, to stand in awe, which means that such people do these things well and yet appear “pious.” I don't want to theologize, otherwise it means they do not do them at all,but yet appear godly... and that's the serpentine spirit at work . Let's hear from Paul; 13. For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. (2Co 11: 13-15) Now ask yourself (myself) the question , is it possible to have people in our churches who do not truly worship God; who do not stand in awe of Him; and who do not show reverence to Him? The answer is a big yes. Jude says that the apostles “told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts” (18). Jude’s readers evidently knew these kinds of apostates were there and had done nothing about it. Maybe like the Corinthians (and many today), they boasted in their broad-mindedness ; Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? (1Co 5: 6) 👉 DISRESPECTFUL “Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities” (Jude 8). Peter adds that they are “presumptuous” and “self-willed” (10). Disrespect has fallen into disrepair today. In those days, however, it was a matter of utmost importance. A man could not hold church office if his children were disrespectful or disobedient (Tit. 1:6). Both Jude and Peter use Michael the archangel as the example of showing respect to authorities, even to Satan, the former Lucifer himself! (Jude 9, 2 Pet. 2:11). But, says Peter, these disrespectful church members are acting like brute beasts (12) who have no conscience of right and wrong and are destroyed without a second thought. These apostates will truly act like “animals” even in the churches. WE ALL ARE LIARS IF WE SAY WE ARE NOT SEEING THESE CHARACTERISTICS IN OUR CHURCHES. ESPECIALLY CHURCHES WITH ALIGNMENTS! 👉 LUSTFUL In both chapters under consideration, more space is given to this vice than any others. Believers who have the Restrainer living within them struggle enough with this sin, but unbelievers who have only the common graces of the world to restrain them, will fall to this sin overtly. These hypocritical apostates turn “the grace of our God into lasciviousness” (Jude 4), “defile the flesh” (8), “walk after their own ungodly lusts” (18), and are “sensual” (19). Peter says they have “pernicious ways” (2), have “eyes full of adultery” (14), and “allure through the lusts of the flesh” (18). And all of this within the local church! Peter’s statement about adultery may be translated “having eyes for an adulteress” or someone who is always looking for his next victim. Our churches have to take extra precautions because of liabilities as it is. But I wonder if the performance mentality coupled with self-centered immodesty doesn’t also feed this sin of lust. Most modesty(as in moderate dressing) is seen as old-fashioned prudishness and even in-house directives for modest dress on the church platform is seen as some kind of legalism. Then we wonder why so many of our own Christian kids have fewer moral standards than the world’s kids. This apostate characteristic will grow worse and worse as the age draws to a close. There will be more “lovers of pleasures” than “lovers of God” (2 Tim. 3:4). 👉 MAKE MERCHANDISE I think this is one of the most dangerous areas where the devil has both pastors and members trapped and chained. Stealing in the church and transacting unholy business in the Name of God. Apostates are in it for what they can get out of it. Jude says they have “men’s persons in admiration because of advantage” (16). This literally means they “admire faces for advantage.” Peter says, “through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you” (3). The words “shall make merchandise” They made God’s house into an emporium, a house of business, or a market place. Christ Jesus used this same word when He aggressively drove such moneychangers from the temple because they had made God’s house of prayer into a house of “merchandise” (Jn. 2:16). Paul told Timothy that some perverse men think that “gain is godliness” (1 Tim. 6:5) or, literally, “that godliness is a means of gain.” WHY HAS TITHING BECOME SUCH A HUGE ISSUE IN BOTH RELIGIOUS AND SECULAR CIRCLES... PERSONAL VOWS MADE TO GOD,ETC,? IT'S BECAUSE APOSTASY HAS TAKEN OVER THE CHURCH WHERE PASTORS SELECT SCRIPTURE THAT SUITS THEIR PURPOSE OF REAPING THE FLOCK, INSTEAD OF ASSISTING THEM IN THEIR SPIRITUAL AWAKENING AND GROWTH. A member of one the leading pentecostal churches in Nigeria has been attacking me since morning, just because her overseer whom I know and loved so much for over twenty years has seemingly become another person because of success. Is the success not from what he got from the flock? But how much has he sown back into the lives of the less privileged in the church? I will have to stop here tonight, because each time this matter come out,I am accused of envy and jealousy. IN THE QUEST FOR PEACE IN A GOD REJECTED WORLD (2Sam.7:1) 🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥 MY BIBLICAL PERCEPTION OF PREDESTINATION( ROM. 9:27:11-29)! ================================== I am quite aware that, many(in my orbit),will be sceptical on seeing this, because they know me as very reserved, when it comes to flaunting of scriptural knowledge, myself,being a greenhorn in the quest for intellectual superiority. Moreso, when God's Word is involved. In all, for anything that distracts from the SIMPLE GOSPEL MESSAGE OF SALVATION, my interest isn't piqued. However, the debates and counter debates about PREDESTINATION has really stirred me, as I see the adversary at work again. THE VERSION OF PREDESTINATION BEING MOSTLY PUSHED FORWARD, MAKES A HORRID MESS OF THE DILIGENT STEPS TO SALVATION LAID DOWN BY THE OWNER AND GIVER OF SALVATION. ONCE SAVED , ALWAYS SAVED (OSAS) DOCTRINE HAS BEEN INCREASINGLY TIED TO PREDESTINATION. OUR HOLY BIBLE DOESN'T SUPPORT THIS. By request, we will take this step by step. But before then, I want to CONFIDENTLY declare by HIS GRACE and MERCY, that PREDESTINATION IS A BIBLICAL TRUTH... IT'S NOT WRONG, FOR OUR LORD GOD ALMIGHTY CAN NEVER EVER BE WRONG!!! WHAT'S WRONG IS MAN'S INTERPRETATION AND REASONING. Predestination is a combination of two words.. pre-meaning *before* and destination.. point of arrival. Thus, if I tell a person* on Thursday, go to Mr Oxford's shop and buy me coffee*! On that day, that person knows, he has to go to Oxford.. but it's also possible that the coffee may not be found at Oxford's, and destination may eventually changed. OF COURSE, THIS IS MORTAL WISDOM AT WORK, NOT GOD, WHO IS OMNISCIENT (ALL KNOWING)! I only made a point, that man can FAIL, but GOD WON'T AND CAN'T EVER FAIL (ISA. 55:11)! Okay, as God can't fail, ever, and predestination is God's Word (Rom. 9:11-29), how can we then reconcile the *freewill given to us by GOD*? And the LORD God said, Behold, the MAN is become as ONE OF US, to know GOOD and EVIL: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: (Gen 3: 22) I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: (Deu 30: 19) Following predestination holistically means,we are reduced to mere robots..thus, there's no need for the Gospel,no need for evangelism, infact no need for Christ Jesus' sufferings on the Cross and earth,since judgement has been passed via predestination!!! THERE'S A LOT TO SAY,BUT WE WILL TAKE IT BIT BY BIT. Going back to apostle Paul's epistles to the Ephesians and Romans,you need to take a humane approach. Firstly,Paul is a human,(take note of that) before becoming a carrier of the fullness of the GODHEAD. Thus he has his weaknesses and strengths like everyone of us; For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I. (Rom 7: 15) For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. (Rom 7: 19) 22. For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? (Rom 7: 22-24) Do we not face this similar problem? I congratulate you if you don't. But the truth is,it's peculiar to all of mankind...this is why we have GRACE! Relating this to the Romans 9, you can perceive Paul was in distress,seeing his kinsmen on the verge of ending up in hell(which by the way,many of us don't even believe in, nor its duration.) SPECIFICALLY, APOSTLE PAUL WAS PITIFUL,THAT PREDESTINATION WILL NOT SAVE PRESUMPTUOUS SINNERS FROM GOD'S PUNISHMENT. THAT'S WHY HE WAS EMPHASIZING THAT,GOD IS NEVER UNFAIR IN ANY DECISION HE MAKES,THAT HE,* ONLY* HAS THE PREROGATIVE AND CRITERIA TO ADOPT OR SET ASIDE HIS LAW. THE VETO POWER BELONGS TO ONLY HIM ALONE, HE MADE THE LAW AND CAN UNMAKE IT WITHOUT HAVING TO CONSULT WITH ANYONE! HEAR PAUL; Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. (Rom 8: 33) 11. (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12. It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17. For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. 18. (Rom 9: 11-20) IF YOU CANNOT FEEL PAUL'S DISTRESS IN THE VERSES ABOVE,I WONDER WHERE ELSE YOU WILL FEEL IT. HE WAS RESPECTFULLY AND FAITHFULLY EXONERATING GOD, FROM WHAT SEEMS PLAIN INJUSTICE IN THE EYES OF MAN. WHAT WAS ESAU'S OFFENCE IN THE WOMB? OKAY,LOOK AT PHARAOH; And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go. (Exo 8: 32) THROUGHOUT HIS ORDEAL, WHENEVER PHARAOH WANTS TO BUCKLE DOWN,WE SEE THE ABOVE VERSE, AGAIN AND AGAIN. AND WE ARE GIVEN THE REASON WHY GOD DID IT BY PAUL; For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. (Rom 9: 17) (Don't forget that in some verses therein,we read,and God hardened Pharaoh's heart) God's purpose for Pharaoh was to use him to demonstrate HIS POWER. Yet,if HE chose to,HE could also had saved him. We shall continue,but know this that though PREDESTINATION is FACTUAL,no voluntary sinner is predestined for Heaven nor Eternal life. EVEN IF,WE ARE CERTAIN THAT WE ARE PREDESTINED, I ASSURE US,GOD CAN CHANGE HIS MIND IF WE PRESUMPTUOUSLY WALK OUT OF HIS WAY, OR WALKED OUT OF HIS PRESENCE. YES,GOD IS IMMUTABLE..HE NEVER CHANGES, BUT IN SITUATION WHEN MAN VOLITIONALLY SUCCUMBS TO THE DEVIL, HE CHANGES METHODS. For instance, consider this; Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, SHOULD WALK BEFORE ME FOR EVER: but now the LORD saith, BE IT FAR FROM ME; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. (1Sa 2: 30) Again; 8. But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. 9. Therefore HAVE I ALSO MADE YOU CONTEMPTIBLE AND BASE BEFORE ALL THE PEOPLE, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have been partial in the law. (Mal 2: 8-9) Certainly, God had a Plan,but Man's default nature of sin interfered, so He changed methods. Now, Old Testament critics will say,all that took place in the Old Testament. Was Moses destined for Heaven? The answer is a BIG YES. But again, the flesh made Moses died in sin. He couldn't make it to Canaan , meaning he wasn't forgiven, for he blamed the Israelites for his sin. *PLEASE,I WANT US TO TAKE NOTE OF THIS, DON'T EVER ARGUE THE REASON FOR YOUR SIN... YOU HAVE SINNED,YOU HAVE SINNED....THIS WAS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MOSES AND DAVID. INSTEAD OF REPENTANCE,MOSES BEGGED GOD TO BE ALLOWED TO ENTER CANAAN, IN ESSENCE, IT WASN'T EXACTLY HIS FAULT THAT HE OFFENDED GOD, AND MADE IT CLEAR IN DEUTERONOMY. AND GOD WOULD HAVE NONE OF THAT. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW GREAT YOU HAVE WORKED FOR HIM. THUS, MOSES WAS ON THE PATH TO HELL FIRE, BUT THANK GOD FOR HIS MERCIES THAT ARCHANGEL MICHAEL INTERVENED* Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee. (Jud 1: 9) Archangel Michael is the commander of Heaven's Army... infact, he it was who booted the devil out of heaven when he rebelled against God. Now another confrontation was imminent,and wise Michael knows he doesn't have God's backing, because God doesn't fight a fight of blame. The devil has the right to Moses body having died unforgiven by God, because he passed the buck like Adam. Therefore, Michael humbled himself to prevent a battle he won't win and instead EXERCISED THE VETO POWER OF GOD (WHO WILL HAVE MERCY ON WHOM HE CHOOSES), and declared*The Lord rebuked thee,* and at that point, Moses was pardoned and the devil fled. IF NOT MOSES WOULDN'T HAVE APPEARED IN THE TRANSFIGURATION. Isn't this clear enough? Till we meet again; Thou art of PURER EYES than to BEHOLD EVIL, and CANST NOT LOOK ON INIQUITY: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he? (Hab 1: 13) After the number of the days in which ye searched the land, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, AND YE SHALL KNOW MY BREACH OF PROMISE. THAT I MAY KNOW HIM![PHP.3:10] 🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥 DISBELIEVING THE RAPTURE IS AKIN TO CALLING GOD'S WORD UNTRUE. (PART ONE) 🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥 My being imperfect like most other people doesn't give us an impetus to toy with God's Word. God alone gives us knowledge to understand the part of His Word He desires us to understand on this side of eternity. I beseech us not to take the RAPTURE LIGHTLY, just like every other of God's Word that must always comes to pass,so long He said It. I'm not a theologian nor desires to be one,so I'm having no business here with pre tribulation or after, but strictly the RAPTURE,though they are tied together. In 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, Paul says, “But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede…”—or “go before”—“…those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we…”—Paul includes himself—“…who are alive and remain shall be caught up…”—there’s our word “harpodzo” or “raptured”—“…together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” Then Paul closes with, “Therefore comfort one another with these words.” But,a lot of us don't believe as the word,*Rapture* doesn't appear directly in the Bible. As a result,even apostle Peter was compelled to WARNED us; In 2 Peter 3:3-4, Peter says, “Scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, ‘Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep…”—or literally “died”—“…all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.’” In other words, they were saying, “There’s no ‘coming again’( which in effect is the RAPTURE) of the Lord! It hasn’t happened yet. It won’t happen in the future.” They were mocking the concept or the doctrine of the return Christ Jesus. And as far as we can see and decipher, the scorners and mockers which Peter spoke about has arrived. Yet,Peter made it clear that our ever Compassionate God wants to save as many He can; 8. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; BUT IS LONG-SUFFERING TO us-ward, NOT WILLING that ANY should PERISH, but that ALL SHOULD come to REPENTANCE. (2Pe 3: 8-9) As Christians, we believe in the Incarnation, that God became a man in Christ; we believe in the Crucifixion, that Christ Jesus died on the Cross for our sins; we believe in the Resurrection, that Christ Jesus rose victoriously and bodily from the grave; we believe in the Ascension, that Christ Jesus ascended back into heaven; and we believe in the exaltation, that Christ Jesus is seated at the right hand of God the Father. But that’s not the end of the story; as some or all the mockers would have us believe. WE ALSO BELIEVE IN THE RETURN OF CHRIST JESUS. He is coming again. We focus so much on His BIRTH and on His DEATH and on His RESURRECTION, but we forget that He is ASCENDED, EXALTED AND WILL COME AGAIN. And of course the main architect of these schemes to make us disbelieve the coming back of our LORD AND SAVIOUR,is the devil,(Jn.8:44),whom has released his agents, comprising of his demons,and willing human agents,because he is the father of lies,and is seriously threatened because he knows his time is but a little while away, though we can't know the actual date or time. Seekers can only guess. IT'S THE ONLY TRUE EXPLANATION FOR THE INCREASE OF *SUPPOSED KNOWLEDGE,* ALL IN THE DEVIL'S BID TO DISTRACT US FROM THE GLORY THAT AWAITS TRUE BELIEVERS AND WRECK AS MUCH HAVOC IN THE LIVES OF MEN AS HE CAN BEFORE THE FINAL MOMENT...THE SOUNDING OF THE TRUMPET. Christ Jesus promised to come again. In John 14:2-3, ChryJesus said, “I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” I believe His promise. Christ Jesus always keeps His promises. If He promised He is preparing a place and He promised that He would come to “receive” us, I believe that’s a revelation of the rapture of the church. He said that He will take us to His “Father’s house,” and I believe His promise will be fulfilled. This is what we call “the rapture of the church.” It was first revealed in John 14 by our Lord Himself. Then it was revealed by Paul the Apostle as the “mystery” of the body of Christ being “caught up to meet the Lord in the air.” But there are some who say that the word “rapture” is not in the Bible, so they therefore argue that the doctrine of the rapture is not Biblical. I would also argue that the Bible does not have the word “Trinity” in it, but we believe in the Trinity. The word “providence” does not appear in the Bible, but we believe in the providence of God. So the fact that the word “rapture” does not appear in the Bible doesn’t mean it’s not a doctrine found in the Bible. Like I began with, I'm not a theologian nor desires to be one... BECAUSE,THE WORD OF GOD SUPERSEDES CHURCH HISTORY (EVEN THOUGH CHURCH HISTORY IS IMPORTANT) BUT, IT'S GOD'S WORD FIRST. We aren't done yet on this, I believe the Lord Himself will pilot us to it's conclusion, because many are being deceived... remember ; 9. "St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world, seeking the ruin of souls."
