  • The Elephant in the Room: The Oreos Are Poisoned
    Dr. Joseph Sansone
In a recent depiction of the blatant and unusual type of lying that politicians and government officials are now engaging in, Tucker Carlson described a child lying when asked if they ate the Oreos. The child would typically deny eating the Oreos at first, but when busted, finally admit to it. In the case of our politicians and elected officials, imagine that child looking you straight in the eye, and saying, “You ate the Oreos!”

This is of course a dead on the nose description of the psychological projections politicians and government officials are engaging in. If they engage in racism, they accuse you of being a racist. If they engage in misinformation, they accuse you of engaging in misinformation for exposing it. If they behave like fascists, they accuse you of being a fascist for resisting or exposing it.

    Why is this occurring?

It is by design. It is an intimidation tactic. It is an attempt to manipulate your emotions. It is designed to put you on defense. It is designed to shame you into following the social path of least resistance. It is designed to maneuver you to go along with the lies and not pay attention to the elephant in the room. To go along with just about every aspect of this farce requires a total denial of the truth.

The elephant in the room is that Israel, Iran, Russia, the United States, and so on, all engaged in the same unscientific lockdowns and mask mandates. All poisoned their citizens with C19 nanoparticle bioweapon injections. Pay no attention to a global campaign of mass murder…

The elephant in the room is that the United States government, every state government, and every local government, as well as every major institution, academic, medical, corporate, media, etc., participated in a biological warfare campaign using nanoparticle weapons in the form of C19 injections against the American population. The elephant in the room is that countless medical doctors participated in murdering and maiming the human population. The elephant in the room is that medical doctors are gaslighting their patients that were injured by these injections and telling them their injuries are in their head or that they were due to preexisting conditions.

We must pretend the injections don’t contain self assembling nanotechnology. We must also pretend that the shots don’t contain Silicone, Titanium and Yttrium. We must of course not consider the possibility that there are biosensors and parasitic nodes syphoning the energy of your cells creating biosynthetic cells. Pay no attention to the WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network). We definitely don’t want to consider the distinct possibility (hint this means it is happening) that our food and biosphere are being contaminated with this nanotechnology...

The surest way to spot the scam is when nobody is allowed to talk about it. The most vulnerable position that just about any politician has, is that they supported the C19 injection and refused to speak out against the nanoparticle weapons. The elephant in the room is that not one politician, to my knowledge, has stated this is a biological/technological warfare campaign against the human population. This includes all of the presidential candidates. To engage and support a candidate wholeheartedly, you are required to pretend this campaign of mass murder is not occurring. Pay no attention to the biological warfare depopulation campaign being waged….

Regarding the election, you also have to pretend there is a way to authenticate a computerized election where machines can be accessed by modems and the source code is proprietary information…

This is a big multifaceted elephant. We must also pretend that it is normal for young people to have strokes and heart attacks. It is normal for them to drop dead. It is normal for so many people to have turbo cancer. It is normal for all cause mortality to go up. It is normal for all these diseases to increase.

The elephant in the room is that we are at war with Russia and edging closer toward global nuclear war. The elephant in the room is that a full blown Middle Eastern war will bring us even closer toward nuclear war. If it doesn’t there is still a strong probability that it was cause an economic collapse.

The elephant in the room is that there is a deliberate dissolution of the United States occurring, and has been occurring, since at least, 1965. This has been facilitated partly by massive migration and a clearly deliberate refusal to protect the nation’s borders. Somehow in the twisted mind of our political and legal system it was okay to lock American citizens up in mass in their homes, but not to secure the United States border.

The elephant in the room is that the U.S. military has becomes a mercenary force for globalists. It is that the wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and all the secret wars in between were a cash cow for globalist conspirators and simultaneously designed to bankrupt the United States. The United States looks to be rapidly declining as a civilization.

The elephant in the room is that C19 was merely an extension of 911. The difference being that the intention is to turn the whole world into the airport…

The elephant in the room is that herding human beings into sophisticated smart cities called 15 minute cities is being planned and implemented. The elephant in the room is that there are plans to create a Centralized Digital Bank Currency and this will amount to total slavery.

The elephant in the room is that there is less than a week for one head of state to send a simple letter to WHO declaring that they reject the amendments that were adopted on May 27th, 2022. Let’s pretend a global coup to create a biomedical tyranny is not occurring.

Did one governor consider sending a letter?

The elephant in the room is that there is an emerging Fascist, Socialist, Marxist, Communist, Technocratic, choose your metaphor for Totalitarianism, I like Psychopathic Authoritarianism, super state bent on depopulating the planet, deindustrializing much of it, and enslaving what is left in a neofeudalistic global plantation. It is also driven by transhumanist goals to transform what is left of humanity into something no longer human.

The C19 injections were likely the most catastrophic event in human history. The reality is that we don’t even know if the human race will survive it. Unless of course we experience global nuclear war, which probably is not off the table.

Ultimately, the elephant in the room is that the Oreos were poisoned.

Israeli Prime Minister vows to continue the war on Gaza

The temporary truce in the Gaza Strip between Israeli forces and Palestinian resistance fighters is approaching its end on Monday night.

Israel is expected to carry on its airstrikes and ground incursion once the truce ends. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed on Sunday evening to continue the war until achieving the three goals of releasing all captives, destroying Hamas, and ensuring Gaza does not impose a “threat” to Israel.

Netanyahu said that the truce would be extended a day for every ten additional captives released by Hamas.

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, whose country hosts a Hamas office, told the Financial Times that an extension of the truce would allow Hamas to locate more captives to release.

“We don’t yet have any clear information how many they can find because… one of the purposes [of the pause] is they [Hamas] will have time to search for the rest of the missing people,” al-Thani said.

Between Friday and Sunday evening, 117 Palestinians were released from Israeli jails, all of them women and children. Hamas released 58 captives, 39 Israelis, 17 Thai citizens, an Israeli-Russian, and a Filipino national.

U.S. President Joe Biden said early on that he was “hopeful” the truce would continue.

“My expectation and hope is that as we move forward, the rest of the Arab world and the region is also putting pressure on all sides to slow this down, to bring this to an end as quickly as we can,” Biden said on Friday.

A four-year-old dual Israeli-American citizen whose father was killed in the October 7 attack is expected to be released in the fourth patch of captives held by Hamas on Monday.

39 Palestinians and 13 Israeli nationals released

On Sunday evening, Hamas released the third round of captives, which included 13 Israeli nationals, two Thais, and one Russian-Israeli citizen.

The handing over of the captives to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) took place in the center of Gaza City, which saw immense fighting between Israeli forces and resistance fighters.

Al-Jazeera reported that Hamas aimed to show its force in front of cameras during the captives’ release in the northern Gaza Strip, an area the Israeli army believed to be controlling vast parts of it.

Some of the fighters were mounting the infamous white pickup trucks used during the October 7 surprise attack on settlements and army bases.

Hamas said in a statement that it released Roni Krivo, a Russian-Israeli citizen, in appreciation of Moscow’s support for the Palestinian cause.

“In response to the efforts of Russian President Vladimir Putin and in appreciation of the Russian position in support of the Palestinian cause, the Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, released one of the detainees of the Russian citizenship,” it said in a statement on Sunday.

On Sunday evening, 39 Palestinians were released from Israeli jails, all of them under the age of 18 years old. Twenty-one were from occupied Jerusalem, and the rest from Ramallah, Bethlehem, Jericho, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, and one from Rahah town south of Gaza Strip.

Wafa news agency reported that the underage prisoners were transported from Ofer military prisons to the towns of Ramallah and Beitunia, where they were welcomed by thousands of Palestinians.

However, prisoners from Jerusalem were handed to one member of their families at Al-Moskobiya detention and interrogation center. Any scenes of celebration were banned and subject to fine and potential arrest.

Wadi Hilweh Information Center, which documents Israeli violations in Jerusalem, posted footage of the release of a Palestinian child prisoner transported by an Israeli security team in a civilian vehicle and handed to his father in the middle of the night, ensuring no celebration or gathering took place.

Wafa reported that Israeli forces fired tear gas, live and rubber-coated metal bullets at journalists and families who gathered near Ofer to accompany the prisoners’ bus. Several people, including a journalist, were wounded. A full list of the names of prisoners released on Sunday were published by Wafa.

According to the temporary truce terms, 33 Palestinian prisoners and 11 Israelis are expected to be released on Monday, bringing the total to 50 Israelis and 150 Palestinians, one captive for every three prisoners.

Majority of hospitals in Gaza are out of service as Palestinians struggle to count their dead

Health officials in the Gaza Strip warned that hospitals are struggling to cope as Israeli bombardment inflicted severe damages to Al-Shifa’ and the Indonesian hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip.

Four days of relative calm were not enough to recover nor to count the killed and injured in the Gaza genocide during which Israel has dropped the equivalent of two nuclear bombs since October 7.

On Monday, the death toll in the Gaza Strip was not updated by the Ministry of Health. An estimate published by Wafa said at least 15,000 people were killed and 32,000 wounded.

Al-Jazeera reported on Monday morning that piles of bodies have accumulated in Al-Quds and Al-Rantisi hospitals.

Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, of whom 1.7 million were internally displaced, are still grasping the sheer destruction caused by the Israeli bombardment of their properties.

On Sunday, Israel announced that it has “seized” a total sum of $1.3 million from “Hamas homes” in Gaza and deposited it in the state coffers. Palestinians described the action as theft and shared stories of Israeli soldiers seizing musical instruments and jewelry and showing them off on social media.

On Monday, Israeli forces shot at people near Al-Maghazi refugee camp, who went back to inspect their houses. Mohammed Zaqout, the general manager of hospitals in Gaza, told Al-Jazeera that hospitals in northern Gaza are short of fuel and have not received any during the truce.

Zaqout said that three hospitals remain working in northern and central Gaza – Ahli Arab Hospital, Kamal Adwan Hospital, and al-Awdah Hospital. He added that “Israel destroyed 21 private and 13 governmental hospitals.”

The Israeli army spokesperson said on Monday that 1,200 Israelis have been killed, including 392 soldiers, since October 7, and 9,000 have been injured. He added that 80 out of the 184 remaining captives being held by Hamas have dual citizenship.

On Sunday, Hamas announced the names of some of its senior leaders who were killed fighting the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza, including Ahmed al-Ghandour, a member of the Military Council and commander of the Northern Gaza Strip Brigade .

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, called for an extension to the truce which “would allow for much-needed relief to the people of Gaza and the release of more hostages.”

Dozens of Palestinians arrested in the West Bank

While Israeli jailers were finishing the papers to release 39 Palestinian children on Sunday evening, Israeli forces were at work arresting 60 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

Twenty-nine people were arrested in Hebron, and the others were detained from Ramallah, Jenin, Nablus, Bethlehem, and the village of Jaba.

The Commission for Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs said that since October 7, Israel has arrested 3,260 Palestinians, most of them sentenced to various lengths of administrative detention, a policy used to indefinitely detain Palestinians without charge or trial.

Currently, there are 7,000 Palestinian prisoners, 200 of whom are children. Since October 7, six prisoners have died inside Israeli jails, and 41 journalists remain in detention. Israeli forces and settlers have killed 235 Palestinians during assaults or night raids of towns and villages in the occupied West Bank.

In a new report, Human Rights Watch (HRW) says more Palestinians in the West Bank have been killed by Israeli forces in the last six weeks, since October 7, than in any entire year since 2005.

Israeli far-right Finance Minister dedicates millions of dollars to expanding settlements and arming settlers

Josep Borrell, the EU’s High Representative for foreign affairs and security policy, lambasted the Israeli far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich following his announcement of plans of settlement expansion and arming settlers.

“I’m appalled to learn that in the middle of a war, the Israeli [government] is poised to commit new funds to build more illegal settlements. This is not self-defence and will not make Israel safer. The settlements are grave [International Human Law] breach, and they are Israel’s greatest security liability,” Borrell wrote on the X platform.

Smotrich presented the 2023 budget this week, in which he dedicated a big chunk of it to the war on Gaza Strip, including $4.5 billion to defense and $3.6 billion to civilian war needs.

He also dedicated over $190 million to further the West Bank settlement project, and $530 million to the National Security Ministry, headed by Itamar Ben-Gvir, to arm settlers in the occupied West Bank and set up teams of armed militias and police.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s supplementary budget request to be spent in the final month of 2023.
Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Smotrich’s budget was “a disregard for international and American positions in support of the two-state solution.”

“Approving this proposal indicates Israeli persistence in accelerating the pace of the annexation of the occupied West Bank… exploiting the genocidal war against the Gaza Strip to create new facts on the ground in the occupied West Bank,” the ministry said.

Borrel wrote in a column in the Financial Times that the Israeli-Palestinian conflict should end.

“Our political myopia, to think this conflict was manageable by paying lip service to the two-state solution and then leaving it to fester, must end, he wrote.

He added that leaving the conflict to simmer without fixing it “may trigger displacement of people, including towards Europe, and exacerbate the risk of terrorism and intercommunity tensions.”

He concluded that “Israel’s own security requires the creation of a Palestinian state in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.”

Due to breakdowns in communication networks within the Gaza Strip (particularly in northern Gaza), the Gaza Ministry of Health has not been able to regularly update its tolls. Key Developments Between Friday and Sunday evening, 117 Palestinians were released from Israeli jails, all of them women and children. Hamas released 58 captives, 39 Israelis, 17 Thai citizens, an Israeli-Russian, and a Filipino national. Netanyahu said that the truce would be extended a day for every ten additional captives released by Hamas. Qatari Prime Minister said that an extension of the truce would allow Hamas fighters to locate more Israeli captives to be released. Hamas said in a statement that it released Roni Krivo, a Russian-Israeli citizen, in appreciation of Moscow’s support for the Palestinian cause. On Sunday evening, 39 Palestinians were released from Israeli jails, all of them under the age of 18 years old. Mohammed Zaqout, the general manager of hospitals in Gaza, told Al-Jazeera that hospitals in northern Gaza are short of fuel and have not received any during the truce. The Israeli army spokesperson said that 80 out of the 184 remaining captives being held by Hamas have dual citizenship. (Photo: © Abed Rahim Khatib/dpa via ZUMA Press APAimages) Israeli Prime Minister vows to continue the war on Gaza The temporary truce in the Gaza Strip between Israeli forces and Palestinian resistance fighters is approaching its end on Monday night. 39 Palestinians and 13 Israeli nationals released On Sunday evening, Hamas released the third round of captives, which included 13 Israeli nationals, two Thais, and one Russian-Israeli citizen. Majority of hospitals in Gaza are out of service as Palestinians struggle to count their dead Health officials in the Gaza Strip warned that hospitals are struggling to cope as Israeli bombardment inflicted severe damages to Al-Shifa’ and the Indonesian hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip. He added that “Israel destroyed 21 private and 13 governmental hospitals.” The Israeli army spokesperson said on Monday that 1,200 Israelis have been killed, including 392 soldiers, since October 7, and 9,000 have been injured. Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, called for an extension to the truce which “would allow for much-needed relief to the people of Gaza and the release of more hostages.” Dozens of Palestinians arrested in the West Bank While Israeli jailers were finishing the papers to release 39 Palestinian children on Sunday evening, Israeli forces were at work arresting 60 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. • Israeli oil tanker seized off Yemen, third in a week
    Sunday, 26 November 2023 5:52 PM [ Last Update: Sunday, 26 November 2023 6:05 PM ]
An Israeli tanker has been seized off the coast of the Yemeni port city of Aden, the third such incident in a week after Yemen’s Armed Forces and the popular Ansarullah resistance movement warned of targeting any of the occupying regime’s ships crossing the Arab country’s territorial waters.

Media reports said the “attackers” seized the Central Park vessel, owned and managed by the UK-based Israel-linked company Zodiac Maritime, off the coast of Aden on Sunday.

The Israeli daily Haaretz said the tanker vessel was owned by the Israeli businessman Eyal Ofer, adding that the ship had left Morocco and crossed the Suez Canal on November 21, sent its last location on the 22nd from a point south of the Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh.

Zodiac Maritime claimed that the attack was “a suspected piracy incident.”

“Our priority is the safety of our 22 crew onboard,” Zodiac said in a statement. “The Turkish-captained vessel has a multinational crew consisting of a crew of Russian, Vietnamese, Bulgarian, Indian, Georgian and Filipino nationals. The vessel is carrying a full cargo of phosphoric acid.”

Maritime security company Embry said communications were intercepted from a US coalition warship warning Central Park, adding that another ship in the area reported “the approach of eight people on board two boats wearing military uniforms.”

No group or individual has so far claimed responsibility for the seizure of the vessel while at least two other maritime attacks have in recent weeks been linked to the Israeli regime’s war on the besieged Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation army said on Saturday that the Houthi Ansarullah’s fighters had seized an Israeli-owned ship in the Red Sea, the Zim Luanda, sailing from Israel to China.

The report came after spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree published a one-word post on his X social media account, simply reading “Zim.”

The Yemeni Armed Forces also seized an Israeli cargo vessel, named Galaxy Leader, in the Red Sea on November 19, in what they said was a response to the regime’s massacre of Palestinians in Gaza. The entire 52 crew members onboard were also detained by Yemen’s naval forces in the south of the Red Sea.

The crew were under investigation and their nationalities were being verified by the relevant Yemeni agencies.
In a televised speech broadcast live on November 14, the leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement called on Arab countries and the Muslim world to adopt a clear stance in the face of Israel’s atrocities in Gaza.

Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said the Yemeni forces are keeping a watchful eye on any Israeli ship in the Red Sea, and in the Bab el-Mandab Strait in particular, as well as Yemeni territorial waters.

Saree, the spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, had earlier announced that the military units would target all ships owned or operated by Israeli companies or carrying the Israeli flag.

Yemen’s move, he said, is in support of Palestinians amid Israel’s savage onslaught on the besieged Gaza Strip.

Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7 after the territory’s Palestinian resistance movements waged the surprise Operation al-Aqsa Storm against the occupying entity in response to the Israeli regime’s decades-long campaign of bloodletting and devastation against Palestinians.

The Israeli aggression has so far killed more than 15,000 Palestinians, most of them women and children.

  • Israel Killed, Injured 2.6 Percent Of Gaza's Population In Under 50 Days: Rights Group

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor (Euromed) released an updated count of victims in Gaza on 25 November, showing that Israel's ethnic cleansing campaign has left at least 20,000 dead since 7 October.

"Our team recently completed an updated statistic of the number of victims, including those we were able to identify who were under the rubble, given the lack of chances of being alive," Euromed chairman Ramy Abdu said via social media. "The number […] reached 20,031 martyrs, including 8,176 children."

He added that the number is expected to increase as more bodies are recovered from under the rubble of destroyed buildings.

"This number, together with the wounded, represents an average of 2.6 percent of the population in the Gaza Strip, equivalent to 11 million Arab citizens," Abdu added in the social media post.

    Kadar Balasan Kebaikan dan Kejahatan

(HR Bukhari No: 6010) Status: Hadis Sahih

    Pengajaran:

    1.  Balasan setiap amal seseorang Muslim bergantung pada niat atau cita-cita serta perbuatannya. Terdapat 4 jenis kadar balasan untuk manusia:

  • 64 US Bank Branches File To Shut Down In A Single Week; Are You Affected?
    November 27, 2023
    By Naveen Athrappully

Big banks such as PNC Bank and JPMorgan Chase have filed to close several branch offices in multiple states amid a troubling pattern of rising branch shutdowns in recent years.

Between Nov. 12 and 18, several banks filed to close branch locations, with PNC Bank with the most filings, according to data from the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. Pittsburgh-based PNC Bank filed for 19 branch closures—five in Pennsylvania, four in Illinois, three in Texas, two each in Alabama and New Jersey, and one each in Indiana, Ohio, and Florida.

JPMorgan Chase followed closely with 18 filings—three in Ohio, two each in Connecticut and South Carolina, and one each in 11 states, including New York, Illinois, Florida, and Massachusetts.

Citizens Bank came in third with eight branch closure filings—six in New York, and one each in Massachusetts and Delaware. Minneapolis-based U.S. Bank filed for seven closures—three in Tennessee and one each in Missouri, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Illinois.

Bank of America made five filings—two in New York and one each in Texas, Massachusetts, and California.

Citibank filed for two branch closures, and Sterling, Bremer, First National Bank of Hughes Springs, Windsor FS&LA, and Aroostook County FS&LA made one filing each.

Altogether, banks filed to shut down 64 branches.

The recent closures are part of a long-term branch shutdown trend that has been ongoing over the past several years. A report from the National Community Reinvestment Coalition shows that between 2017 and 2021, 9 percent of all bank branches shut down. The closure rate doubled during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to data from S&P, there were 3,012 branch closures last year and 958 branch openings, leading to a net closure of 2,054 branches. This was the third consecutive year that net closings exceeded 2,000.

One major factor that led to a surge in branch closures is the rise of digital banking, a trend that accelerated during the pandemic when people were stuck at their homes.

A survey by the American Banking Association (ABA) conducted in September showed that 8 in 10 Americans used a mobile device to manage their bank accounts at least once in the previous month.

“Digital banking tools have made it more convenient and more secure than ever for consumers to manage their finances,” Brooke Ybarra, ABA’s senior vice president of innovation strategy, said, according to a Nov. 3 statement.

    Cost Saving, Negative Effects

Going digital rather than expanding physical branch locations is also part of a cost-saving strategy for banking institutions. Opening a new site costs millions of dollars and several hundreds of thousands in annual recurring costs.

Most of the operations done via a physical bank can now be done online. Digital transactions are cheaper than the costs incurred in transacting via bank tellers.

On the flip side, the shutdown of bank branches can negatively affect customers, especially in small towns. Due to such closures, many towns have become “bank deserts,” where the nearest bank is more than 10 miles away.

“When bank branches close, there are several adverse effects on the surrounding community. Small business lending and activity in the area declines. More people use alternative financial services that open them to unregulated and predatory financial practices. An important commercial tenant and employer are lost,” the National Community Reinvestment Coalition report said.

“While consumers have embraced mobile and internet banking to one degree or another, they clarify that branches matter to them as well, and without branches nearby, they are more likely to be un- or under-banked.”

A recent survey by Daily Mail found that 51 percent of Americans were either “very concerned” or “somewhat concerned” about the closure of bank branches.

    PNC Bank Closure

PNC Bank registered the largest number of closure filings amid its heightened focus on cost-saving measures. During its second-quarter earnings call, CEO William S. Demchak said the bank is “going to have to take a hard look” at where it can “generate savings … without cutting the potential for growth.”

At the time, Chief Financial Officer Robert Q. Reilly revealed that the institution was boosting the target of an expense reduction program by $50 million to $450 million. For next year, PNC Bank is targeting $725 million in expense cuts.

PNC is the sixth-largest U.S. bank. The 19 branches that will be shut down are:

202 N. Walnut St., Bath, Pennsylvania
301 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, Pennsylvania
14 N. Main St., Plains, Pennsylvania
    1969 E. 3rd St., Williamsport, Pennsylvania
2 N. Mill St., New Castle, Pennsylvania
321 Bel Air Blvd., Mobile, Alabama
    2811 Eastern Blvd., Montgomery, Alabama
5650 S. Brainard Avenue, Countryside, Illinois
2217 W. Market St., Bloomington, Illinois
1949 E. Sangamon Ave., Springfield, Illinois
505 West Liberty Street, Wauconda, Illinois
    8733 U.S. Highway 31 South, Indianapolis, Indiana
528 Station Ave., Hadden Heights, New Jersey
410 Main St., Orange, New Jersey
115 E. Van Buren Ave., Harlingen, Texas
407 S. Commerce St., Harlingen, Texas
801 W. Kearney St., Mesquite, Texas
1040 Mt. Vernon Ave., Columbus, Ohio
1140 N. Main St., Gainesville, Florida
In June, PNC shut 47 branches, followed by 29 closures in August. A spokesperson told The U.S. Sun at the time that the bank intends to shut down 147 locations as it focuses more on online banking. The closures were expected to make 60 percent of PNC’s banking business exclusively online.

A spokesperson from the bank told the Philadelphia Business Journal that the 19 bank closures will take place on Feb. 16.

Last month, the bank reported a drop in third-quarter profits and declared cutting roughly 4 percent of its workforce. The layoffs, which began on Oct. 6, will be completed by the end of the fourth quarter. The job cuts are expected to bring down the bank’s yearly personnel expenses by roughly $325 million or 5 percent.

The bank also forecasts that its net interest income—the difference between the interest it receives on loans and the interest it pays on deposits—will shrink by 1 to 2 percent from current levels in quarter four. During the third quarter, net interest income had declined by 3 percent.

“They (PNC Bank) recognize that there is definitely a headwind to the growth and their net interest income, mainly due to the higher deposit rates and higher funding costs,” Timothy Coffey, an analyst at Janney Montgomery Scott, told Reuters.

“And so they’re trying to alleviate some of that headwind by doing what they can to cut their own non-interest expenses as a way to maintain their earnings.”

  • These 7 Healthy Habits Can Help Women Lower Their Risk For Dementia
    November 27, 2023
    By Chris Melore

Women are more likely to suffer from Alzheimer’s disease as they age. While there are genetic factors which make some people more vulnerable to the most common form of dementia, a new study finds there are still healthy lifestyle choices which can make a difference. Researchers working with the American Academy of Neurology say the more of these habits women engage in, the lower their chance of developing dementia gets.

These seven habits are part of the American Heart Association’s Life’s Simple 7, which promotes both brain and cardiovascular health. The healthy list includes:

    Being active
    Eating better
    Maintaining a healthy weight
    Not smoking
    Maintaining a healthy blood pressure
    Controlling cholesterol
    Having low blood sugar
“Since we now know that dementia can begin in the brain decades before diagnosis, it’s important that we learn more about how your habits in middle age can affect your risk of dementia in old age,” says Pamela Rist, ScD, of Brigham and Women’s Hospital in a media release. “The good news is that making healthy lifestyle choices in middle age may lead to a decreased risk of dementia later in life.”

During their study, researchers followed 13,720 women over 20 years and used Medicare data to see how many developed dementia over that time. These women had an average age of 54 at the start of the project. Overall, 1,771 (13%) received a dementia diagnosis over those two decades.

To measure how Life’s Simple 7 affected these outcomes, the team scored each woman based on how well they followed these healthy behaviors. Participants received a zero for poor or intermediate health or one point for ideal health in each category — creating a total possible score of seven.

Results show that the older women had an average score of 4.3 at the start of the study and 4.2 a decade later. This means, on average, the participants did a good job of following just over four of these healthy lifestyle habits.

Every healthy act cuts dementia risk

After adjusting the results to factor in each participant’s age and education, the team found that every one-point increase in score cut dementia risk by six percent. Simply put, the more healthy habits from the Life’s Simple 7 a woman engages in, the lower their risk for cognitive decline drops. Based on the team’s math, a perfect score of seven could drop a woman’s dementia risk by over 40 percent!

“It can be empowering for people to know that by taking steps such as exercising for a half an hour a day or keeping their blood pressure under control, they can reduce their risk of dementia,” Rist adds.

The team is presenting their findings at the American Academy of Neurology’s 75th Annual Meeting.

Chris Melore has been a writer, researcher, editor, and producer in the New York-area since 2006. He won a local Emmy award for his work in sports television in 2011.

Johor Bahru Holds 1st Singapore Job Fair, Attracts Over 2,000 Applicants

Singapore has long attracted numerous Malaysians for work — 900,000 were reportedly working here in 2022. Perhaps due to this, Johor Bahru (JB) hosted its first-ever Singapore Job Fair.

Held on Sunday (26 Nov), over 2,000 job seekers showed up at the venue to look for potential employment.

The job fair included eight different categories of work, including catering and office work.

Most of the job seekers saw the attractiveness of Singapore’s higher salaries as a main draw.

Singapore Job Fair attracts thousands in JB

China Press reported on the ‘Singapore Job Fair 2023’, which took place on Sunday (26 Nov) at a hotel in JB from 8am to 9pm.

At least 2,000 people showed up by the morning, forming long queues that snaked across the lobby.

At the fair, jobseekers could explore eight categories of work, ranging from catering and warehouse work to office jobs and employment in the beauty industry.

Many of the applicants highlighted the attractive salaries Singapore provided as a big draw.

    Source: China Press
“My current salary is RM4,500 (around S$1,290),” one of the interviewed seekers said. “I’m looking for a start of S$3,000.”

A 22-year-old woman hoped to get a Singapore job while she was still young. She emphasised the rising costs in Malaysia and the 3.5 to 1 exchange rate between the two nations’ currencies.

According to China Press, salaries for service staff and truck drivers start from S$2,000. Others such as bartenders could have attractive starting pay of S$2,500 a month.

Salaries & experience main draws at event

Despite the common perception, money isn’t the only reason why Malaysians are willing to cross the Causeway for work.

    Source: China Press
A 39-year-old warehouse worker said his current salary was RM5,000 (S$1,433). He had worked at the small company for 12 years and sought to expand his horizons.

“Although there are many other jobseekers here, I’m confident in my working experience,” he said.

Of course, he noted that he sought at least S$3,000 in pay, which would be far higher than his current income.

Meanwhile, a 21-year-old barista reportedly showed up to look at the vacancies in the Singapore job market but decided to get more experience locally before crossing borders.

In spite of the competition, he felt assured in his chances as the Food & Beverage (F&B) industry in Singapore holds many openings.

She emphasised the rising costs in Malaysia and the 3.5 to 1 exchange rate between the two nations’ currencies. According to China Press, salaries for service staff and truck drivers start from S$2,000. Others such as bartenders could have attractive starting pay of S$2,500 a month.
