When the pressure pulse reaches the bifurcation in the lower abdomen (which is where the aorta forks in two to go into the legs), part of the pressure pulse rebounds and starts traveling up the aorta. If in the meantime the heart ejects more blood, and a new pressure pulse is traveling down, these two pressure points will eventually collide somewhere along the aorta and produce an interference pattern." By placing the body in a sleeplike state, the Gateway tapes achieve the same goal as meditation in that it places the body in such a profoundly relaxed state that the bifurcation echo slowly fades away as the heart lessens the force and frequency with which it pushes blood into the aorta. The result is a regular, rhythmic sinewave pattern of sound which echoes throughout the body and rises up into the head in sustained resonance. The amplitude of this sinewave pattern, when measured with a sensitive, seismograph type instrument is about three times the average of the sound volume produced by the heart when it is operating normally. I specifically wanted to mention again on how the body like a tuning fork attunes to the vibratory frequency of the earth. 1. Also, the brain is contained in a tight membrane called the dura which is, in turn, cushioned by a thin layer of fluid located between it and the skull. As the cohere t resonance produced by the human heart in a state of profound relaxation reaches the fluid layer surrounding the brain, it sets up a rhythmic pattern in which the brain moves up and down approximately 0.005 to 0.010 millimeters in a continuous pattern. The self reinforcing character of resonant behavior accounts for the body's ability to sustain this movement despite the minimal level of energy involved. In this way, the entire body, based on its own micromotion, functions as a tuned vibrational system which transfers energy in a range of between 6.8 and 7.5 Hertz into the earth's ionospheric cavity, which itself resonates at about 7-7.5 Hertz. Of this process, Bentov states: "This is occurring at a very long wavelength of about 40,000 Km, or just about the perimeter of the planet. In other words, the signal from the movement of our bodies will travel around the world in about one seventh of a second through the electrostatic field in which we are imbedded. such a long wavelength knows no obstacles, and its strength does not attenuate much over large distances. Naturally it will go through just about anything: metal, concrete, water, and the fields making up our bodies. It is the ideal medium for conveying a telepathic signal." With this in mind, lets go back to the Grounding article: From the perspective of the health care practitioner, it is essential to have a better understanding of the relationships between other well-documented factors in CVD, including blood viscosity, blood pressure (BP), peripheral resistance, coagulation, left-ventricular hypertrophy, and inflammation. Blood is a complex fluid containing a variety of formed elements (cells), proteins, nutrients, and metabolic waste products, along with dozens of clotting factors. In spite of this complexity, measurement of the electrophoretic mobility or zeta potential of red blood cells (RBCs) is a simple method for measuring blood viscosity.4–8 This is because blood viscosity is strongly influenced by the RBC surface charge that governs the spacing between erythrocytes. A higher repulsive surface charge increases spacing between erythrocytes, reduces clumping, lowers viscosity, and lowers peripheral resistance to flow.9 Conditions that reduce RBC surface charge correlate with occlusive arterial disease because of a higher incidence of RBC aggregation.5 It is accepted that blood viscosity and resistance to blood flow are related and are elevated in patients who have hypertension.10–12 Total resistance is the product of vascular resistance and viscosity. Small changes in viscosity produce large differences in total resistance,13 especially in peripheral vessels <30 μm in diameter, in which the relative effective viscosity can increase six- to sevenfold.14 These results confirm the existence of a blood hyperviscosity syndrome in hypertension. Positive correlations in rheologic variables with arterial pressure and with indices of left-ventricular hypertrophy suggest that these changes may be involved in the pathophysiology of hypertension and its serious complications The electrophoretic mobility or zeta potential can be measured by determining the mobility of RBCs in an imposed electric field. The classic text on zeta potential is Control of Colloid Stability Through Zeta Potential (with a closing chapter on its relationship to CVD by Riddick).4 Riddick's perspectives on CVD are important but have not been widely recognized, probably because rheology is a highly specialized and interdisciplinary subject. Moreover, blood is a very complex material, and many variables affect its ability to carry oxygen, nutrients, and metabolic waste products. In this report the terms earthing and grounding are used interchangeably. The branch of physics known as electrostatics teaches that, when two conductive objects with different electrical potential touch each other, there is a virtually instantaneous transfer of charge so that the two objects equilibrate to the same electrical potential. The human body is a conductor of electricity17 and so is earth (soil), except in very dry areas such as deserts. Consequently, grounding leads to rapid equalization of the electrical potential of the body with the potential of the Earth (planet) through an almost instantaneous transfer of electrons from soil to the body.18,19 This has been the natural bioelectrical environment of the human body and of other organisms throughout most of evolutionary history. Given that earthing or grounding alters many electrical properties of the body,18–21 it was logical to evaluate an electrical property of the blood. The goal was to find if grounding affects RBC zeta potential and RBC aggregation in an ordinary office environment. The results show that grounding the body to soil increases the zeta potential and thereby decreases aggregation of RBCs. Results Zeta potential Table 3 shows RBC velocity and zeta potential (ζ) before and after grounding (earthing) for each of the 10 subjects. As explained previously, for each blood draw, RBC velocity was measured 9 times. Given that there were 2 blood draws before and 2 blood draws after a session (for a total of 4 blood draws per subject per session), each RBC velocity presented in Table 3 represents the average of 18 measurements. The average, SD and standard error of the mean (SEM) were computed between subjects. Thus, these statistical parameters reflected the distribution of velocities among subjects (which were consistent with a normal distribution according to the Lillifors test for normality). The zeta potentials in this table were computed using the Smoluchowski equation from the corresponding velocities (as previously explained). All subjects had an increase in the absolute value of zeta potential after 2 hours of grounding. The smallest absolute increase was by a factor of 1.27 and the largest was by a factor of 5.63. On average, the absolute value of zeta potential increased by a factor of 2.70 (a highly statistically significant result, as can be seen from the one-tailed t-test; this statistical test was used because an increase in the absolute value of zeta potential of ∼ 20%–30% was expected after grounding). This increase effectively brought the average zeta potential from a very small average value of −5.28 mV into a normal value (–14.3 mV). It seems that the healthier a subject was, the less significant the increase was RBC aggregation With respect to RBC aggregation results for the 10 subjects, there were significantly more aggregates or (clusters) during grounding (after 2 hours of grounding while still grounded) than before grounding (p=0.0000153). This is because there were significantly more clusters with 1 or 2 cells after 2 hours of grounding (p=0.0000269 and p=0.000354, respectively), simultaneously significantly fewer clusters of 3 cells (p=0.0451), and far fewer clusters with 4+ cells (although no statistical evaluation was done for clusters with 4+ cells, the last column of Table 4 shows that the average number of cells during earthing, which was 15.0, was less than half the average number of cells before earthing which was 34.7, a ratio of 34.7/15.0=2.3>2.0). There was clearly less clumping after 2 hours of grounding than before grounding. Discussion A number of clinical studies on the physiologic effects of grounding the human body have indicated improvements in various cardiovascular and heart-related parameters. One of the first investigations reported normalization of the day–night cortisol rhythms in subjects who were grounded by sleeping on a conductive mattress pad connected via a wire to a rod inserted into soil.31 It is known that chronic elevation of cortisol can result in disruption of circadian rhythms and chronic activation of the sympathetic nervous system, both of which can contribute to insomnia and its many well-documented health effects, including hypertension, CVD, stroke and other disorders.32,33 Subsequent research has repeatedly confirmed the positive effects of grounding on the autonomic nervous system (ANS), including increases in parasympathetic activity18,34 and, most recently, increases in heart rate variability (HRV).35 The significance of the latter study is that HRV is an important indicator of the status of autonomic balance and stress on the cardiovascular system. A decrease in HRV indicates autonomic dysfunction and is a predictor of the severity of progression of coronary artery disease.36,37 The positive effects of grounding on HRV suggest that simple grounding techniques can be utilized as a basic strategy for supporting the cardiovascular system, especially during situations of heightened autonomic tone and/or hypertension.35 The present study demonstrated a profound increase in zeta potential and a corresponding decrease in blood viscosity. Magnets repel each other when the same poles come sufficiently close to one another. Similarly, electric charges of the same sign repel each other when they are in proximity to one another. The surface of RBCs has negative electrical charges that maintain spacing of the cells in the bloodstream by electrostatic repulsion. The electrophoretic mobility of RBCs is a function of net negative charge (zeta potential), provided that the viscosity of the suspending medium does not change during the measurement. In a study of 50 patients with occlusive arterial disease and 50 control counterparts (N=100), the migration time of red cells (seconds) was longer and the electrophoretic mobility (μsec/V/cm) was less in the patients with occlusive disease than in the healthy controls.5 This study on electrophoretic mobility suggested differences in RBC surface charge (zeta potential). The researchers concluded that patients with occlusive arterial disease have one or more factors in their plasma and RBCs that reduce the net negative charge (zeta potential) of the cells, thereby facilitating RBC aggregation.5 This finding supports the notion that there are definitely many factors that can reduce zeta potential, and thereby increase blood viscosity and increase RBC aggregation, both of which play a major role in the pathogenesis of arteriosclerosis.5 A meta-analysis evaluating the connection between blood viscosity and CVD demonstrates clearly that the risk of major cardiovascular events increase with higher blood-viscosity levels.38 In the Edinburgh Artery Study, a population of 4860 men 45–59 years of age was observed for 5 years. The 20% of the men with the highest blood viscosity had a 3.2 times greater risk for cardiac events, compared with the 20% of men with the lowest blood viscosity. Fifty-five percent (55%) of major cardiovascular events occurred in the highest blood-viscosity group versus only 4% in the lowest blood-viscosity group.39 Summary: Earthing has significantly beneficial effects on blood viscosity, improves zeta potential, reduces blood clumping, heart rate variability, autonomic function, decreases pain and walking barefoot or with grounding shoes of your preference is a cheap and simple method to help the body recover from this assault. Other options like earthing mats can also be explored for health benefits. Also considering how our body is like a vibrational tuning fork connected with the vibratory frequency of the earth, other effects on spiritual clarity, and calming down the nervous system could also be considered. Retaliation from Political Groups and Governments One of the most immediate concerns for artists speaking out about Gaza is the potential for retaliation from political groups and governments. The Israeli oppression of their indigenous peoples and those peoples now living under Occupation in Gaza and the West Bank is highly charged. Speaking out against violence in Gaza might attract negative attention from governments or lobby groups who are deeply invested in one side of the conflict. In some cases, governments may put pressure on artists to silence their dissent. Artists like Roger Waters of Pink Floyd, who has been vocal about his support for Palestinian rights, have faced backlash, including canceled concerts and travel restrictions. Roger Waters of Pink Floyd at the pathetic Israeli “Berlin” Wall that separates and divides people on the West Bank Pro-Israel groups have also been known to organize boycotts or call for bans on musicians they perceive as anti-Israel. These pressures can manifest as lost performance opportunities, censored work, or restricted access to certain markets. Governments, too, might not always be welcoming of criticism. Countries involved in the conflict or aligned with one side may blacklist artists or block their content from reaching audiences. So one must be mindful. In severe cases, artists may face visa rejections or even be declared persona non grata, barring them from entering certain nations altogether. I learned about a massive conspiracy between the flour mills, the American Medical Association, Big Pharma and the US government. Long story short, they knew white flour was causing major health issues and they knew living off of it was the cause of “Beriberi”, yet they went out of their way to assure the public it was a great, nutritious product that people should eat for their health. REMOVAL OF WHITE FLOUR FROM MY DIET You see, because white flour, like rice flour, has vitamins dumped in at the mills via the UN “fortification” and “enrichment” program, it is nearly impossible to eat products containing this flour and avoid also consuming synthetic vitamins: (17 second video) So, although I had quit consuming bottled supplements, I was still consuming the same vitamins via the food supply. But after the rat discovery, without hesitation, I axed white flour from my diet. Let me tell you, while not taking vitamins was easy (and saved me money too!), not eating white flour was incredibly difficult because I had to relearn how to eat and, being that I loathed cooking, I didn’t know what to do. I was so used to buying premade health food that I felt lost; everything I was purchasing had white flour (or synthetic vitamins) in it somewhere. With zero kitchen skills, my meals became a head of broccoli with natural butter and Real Salt or diced cucumber with garlic, feta and extra virgin olive oil or a plate of sliced tomatoes and lots of baked potatoes. Here’s an example of my dinner: The first five-or-so nights of being white-flour-free, I sweat like crazy while I slept and my sweat smelled ghastly. It was a strange odor I had never smelled before. I can’t quite explain it, perhaps something like plastic burning in a hot dumpster that is full of roadkill and rotten dairy. It was so foul that I had to run my bedding to the washing machine every morning for nearly a week. No matter how much I showered I could still smell this awful stench for the first couple days. NO WHITE FLOUR, WEEK #2 I woke up one morning and discovered my underwear were stretched out. I grabbed a different pair and those didn’t fit either. What the heck? Did the washer ruin my clothes? When I pulled on my work pants, those didn’t fit either! I realized I had lost weight - a lot of it. I hurried to the closet to grab my belt, threw it around my wait and slid the buckle right past my usual connection hole. I had lost so much weight in 14 days that I downsized one belt hole! I was quite puzzled because I lost this weight by doing nothing other than quitting white flour; no gym and 0 exercise because I traded that time for writing Substack articles for you. I also noticed my facial skin looked more youthful. The bags under my eyes nearly vanished. I told my spouse I think I have the energy of a 20 year old, *wink, wink*. WEEK #3 By the third week I lost another 10-or-so pounds, now my shirts looked a full size too large. But that’s not all, another huge change occurred. During this week I began becoming naturally tired in the evenings. Writing articles until 9pm then watching a documentary until 10:30-11pm no longer worked for me. I was tired at 8, asleep by 9 and up at 3am so I could get in a few hours of writing before work. This may sound like a really insane time to wake up, but I love it. My mind is so clear, I am so focused and the world is so peaceful. I think my best content and research is what I am producing at this early hour. Strangely, even though I was waking up so early then spending three hours working before I go into work, I had energy the entire day. Additionally, my mood had become overall more optimistic about everything in life. I began hacking away at the list of sh*t I have been putting off forever. (Responding to Substack direct messages is on that list. Only 580 more messages to go…) WEEK #4 By the fourth week, my love handles vanished. I pinched my love handle area and could only pinch an inch of skin between my fingers. My stomach began to flatten. I even noticed my face looked thinner and the droop in my chin that I blamed on age disappeared. My shoulders began looking defined again and that sure wasn’t from spending 12 hours a day on a pc. Then something really wild happened… MONTH 1 Around the end of the month, I realized my taste buds completely changed. Everything I loved (especially potato chips and dip, Lord I loved me some cheddar & sour cream chips with French onion dip), became disgusting. After being flour-and-chemical-free for over four weeks, Tostitos tortilla chips were inedible because the chemicals in them burned the sh*t out of my gums. Fast food, even my beloved Taco Bell, tasted f*cking terrible - so disgusting that, for the first time ever, I threw it out after two bites. When my spouse, who is not on board with my diet, ordered a pizza, I took one bite then instead made another baked potato. It was at this time that foods containing chemicals or GMOs began killing my stomach. I dreaded dinner at my parents house because I knew I would be dealing with hours of pain. I was forced to cut restaurants our of my life because, even when I selected the best options, I was still forced to endure hours of torture afterward. (btw, I learned we should never be consuming products like Pepto Bismol, instead eat some nutmeg. It works fast too!) But it gets crazier - I started craving produce. For the first time in my life (I’m in my mid-40s), I wanted bananas and I would think to myself, “some cauliflower sounds good today”. I craved a baked potato without cheese - just real butter, real salt, real pepper and herbs (and organic sour cream because I’m no saint). Even more mind-blowing, cheese, as a whole, stopped being a necessity and food tasted great without it. In fact, I began tasting a plastic-type flavor in shredded cheese (even cheese my better-half shreds from full blocks), which was pretty repulsive so I no longer used cheese unless it was goat or sheep. Then, things got even stranger. I was able to somehow tune in with what my body wanted and my body wanted less meat and more beans. I know, it’s wild, right? I never in my life wanted beans unless it was a can refried bean dip for a bag of Doritos. I began to truly enjoy black beans which I previously hated. [If you hate cooking, the best canned bean manufacturer in the world is Siete. They are who singlehandedly got me to love black beans. Siete has products that allow an anti-cook to enjoy Mexican food and still eat clean without compromising taste. Their products are probably at wherever you shop, plus they are sold on Amazon.com, in Costco, etc. Here’s their site, SieteFoods.com and here’s their black beans:] Another unexpected change occurred around this time: my entire adult life, I have classified myself as running hot. It drove the spouse nuts because I would want to sleep with the window cracked, even in the winter. During the peak of summer I would sleep in the basement because the house was too hot, even with the AC on blast… but this all ended. MONTH #2 At the beginning of the second month, I estimate I lost around 40 pounds! I didn’t realize I had that much to lose because I am an overall slimmer person and if you would have asked me how overweight I was, I would have said, “I guess I could lose 10 or 15 pounds.”. I lost so much weight that people started asking if I’ve been hitting the gym. When I replied, “Nope, just quit white flour and vitamins”, they looked at me like I was a lunatic, but that was ok. I now looked like I was wearing my father’s clothing, so I had to get new everything in a full size smaller. Then, one more crazy thing happened… and, for me, this was one of the most unexpected changes of all… I stopped drinking my beloved whiskey, not because I wanted to, no sir, I love whiskey. I stopped drinking it because I came home from work one day, walked to my whiskey shelf, picked up a bottle of Blanton’s and, as soon as I removed the cork, I realized I just didn’t want it. This is a feeling I had never experienced in my life. I began drinking when I was 15 years old and had drank ever since. When life felt at its worst, I would buy multiple bottles of whiskey at a time. In fact, I was buying so much that the liquor store would save empty case boxes for me so they were easier to carry to my vehicle. So, on this specific day, as I stood at my whiskey shelf, when I didn’t want to fill up my glass, it was as if my mind misfunctioned. As bizarre as this sounds, I tried to talk myself into having just one glass. My odd conversation with myself ended with the decision to not pour the whiskey and instead drink something else but to come back in an hour and fill the glass up. … an hour later, it still didn’t sound good. I was baffled. That was the first night in my adult life that I went to bed voluntarily choosing not to drink alcohol… and feeling GREAT! I wondered if I would feel horrible withdrawals come morning, but the withdrawals never came. I bounced out of bed, ready to seize the day. And when I got home from work on day #2, drinking again didn’t sound good. MONTH #3 By the third month, my life had completely changed. I was a new person mentally and physically. I felt like I was the best version of myself that I could be. Like a superhero, my senses were all heightened and I became even more aware of things I had been missing around me. Let me give you an important example: Being that my spouse and young adult children are not participating in my diet, they eat all the processed garbage. Vegetables and fruit tastes terrible to them because their taste buds have adapted to the white flour diet. I will be writing more on this topic soon, so do it if you haven’t already: Anyway, I noticed that, when they wake up in the mornings they are physically fine however, within 30 minutes of them consuming breakfast (white flour and chemicals) they begin to develop a slight cough; a single cough or a throat-clearing that repeats approximately every 15 to 20 minutes after the consumption of these products. I observed the identical occurrence with my coworkers. I also noticed, after lunch (a second dose of the same toxins), in addition to the random cough, my older son will start slightly sniffling like allergies. At my job, my associate who stops at Panera Bread each morning for a muffin and a coke, needs allergy medication by noon. In the spring and summer she blames pollen, and when the identical symptoms occur in the fall and winter she blames dust. I had never really put 2 + 2 together... “allergies”… Throughout the first five months, I had a total of maybe 3 drinks, and the wildest part was that I cut myself off after a single drink because it just didn’t taste good. Even my top shelf whiskey, Heaven’s Door Bootleg Series, just didn’t do it for me. The one evening I was peer pressured into excessively drinking (buddy’s 40th birthday party), I didn’t enjoy it at all and woke up the next day feeling like hell. This further reinforced that I didn’t want to consume alcohol anymore. SIX MONTHS LATER: THE RELAPSE After a half year of being in the best health of my adult life (even better health than when I was bodybuilding because I was poison-free this time around), I had to go out of town for five days. On the upside, I got to stay at a resort. On the downside, I quickly realized there was absolutely nothing for me to eat that didn’t involve white flour, additives or vitamins. I arrived at the resort at 10pm and the only available food was pizza, white bread sandwiches with processed meat and cheese, fried chicken strips with white flour breading, and so on. I went to bed with my stomach growling. The next morning I awoke naturally at 3am, long before the resort breakfast area was open. I got out my laptop and tried to focus on writing while my stomach screamed. At 7am, when the breakfast bar opened, I raced to it, only to discover white flour bagels with processed cream cheese and chemical margarine packets, Dole fruit cups in heavy syrup, Quaker Oat single serve oatmeal with sugar and vitamins, Tropicana fortified orange juice served alongside fortified milk, and Quaker chocolate granola bars. Then there were also seven bananas. I grabbed a plate, took all seven and beelined back to my room. When lunch came, to my dismay, there were no non-tainted food options, and this is when my nosedive began… I selected the beer batter fried fish sandwich which seemed to be the least of all evils. I asked for no bun or toppings, just give me the breaded fish on a plate. Trying to remove the batter from the fish proved unsuccessful. It tasted horrible but I needed something in my stomach. That evening I had time to relax in tropical paradise. I found a good chair to watch the geoengineering over the ocean, it was painfully obvious they were in the process of making Hurricane Debby. While staring at planes spraying the sky and watching frequency being deployed to push the spray in one direction while the natural clouds were moving the opposite direction, the waitress convinced me to try their dark rum pina coladas which, as she stated, were indeed delicious. In fact, they were so delicious that I ordered two more. Thankfully they were also filling, so I didn’t go to bed hungry. The following day was a repeat of the prior. I stole all of the bananas, ate fish covered in white flour then fried in horrible oil, then enjoyed a half dozen high-fructose-corn-syrup-and-chemicals pina coladas for dinner. Later that evening, with clouded judgement, I decide to give those fried chicken strips a try. I even ordered chemical ranch dressing to go with them… then got a shot of whiskey, my first shot of whiskey since getting clean. Before bed I watched the electrical storm over the Atlantic: (11 second video) The third morning I did not naturally wake up at 3am, I instead slept in until after 7. When I got to the breakfast bar, the bananas weren’t available so I chose the fake oatmeal packet. I had this day off work so, come 10am, I was poolside being served dark rum pina coladas. There were now two clearly-defined layers of clouds, quickly moving in opposite directions, and the media was beginning to run their Debby fear campaign. That evening I ordered the pizza and it tasted great. Come morning #4, I didn’t want bananas, I instead opted for waffles with fake butter and cheap syrup. Lunch was a processed meat sandwich. Dinner was a burger with French fries dipped in ranch (I’m not a ketchup person, give me ranch or mayo). And this is where the unexpected happens… I also had the fifth day off work and again overslept by many hours. When I woke up I put on my shorts and noticed my stomach hanging over them. It wasn’t just a little bloated, it was bulged out substantially. I looked at my body in the mirror and I looked like I had gained at least 15 pounds! Dismayed but determined to enjoy my day, I repeated the day prior. All the way home, in the airports and on the planes, I ate trash and drank. Upon getting back to Michigan, I looked and felt like a different person. I was pudgy, tired, short-tempered, unmotivated, and I had a craving for fried foods, pizza and alcohol. Nothing sounded better than a bag of Lay’s and a can of Frito’s Jalapeno Cheddar Cheese Dip. That evening I had some of the fast food my spouse and kids picked up for dinner and I finally poured that Blanton’s I passed on many months prior. My first morning back home, I debated stopping at McDonalds on the way into work because a Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit sounded incredible, but I refrained only because my motivation had been so stripped that even stopping to get fast food sounded like too much work. The next week was incredibly difficult because my taste buds had completely shifted and all of the clean foods I had purchased tasted bad but all of the processed foods were mouth-watering. My mind was telling me to make a baked potato or slice up cucumbers but my body was telling me “do that tomorrow, for now order Uber Eats.” . After around 12-days of mental war, the cravings ended and I was back on track. It took several weeks for the bloating and water-weight gain to reside completely. 10 MONTHS LATER It has now been around 10 months and I am back to my high school athlete weight. I have zero desire to eat processed food or white flour because it tastes so bad again. I had to get new apparel a second time because, even with the full size smaller clothing, I again looked like I was swimming in someone else’s shirts. In full transparency, not drinking alcohol resulted in a new coffee addiction. Yes, I am completely aware it is bad. In further full transparency, I still enjoy my cigars, but I’ll work on this as time progresses, one thing at a time, my friends. And in a final moment of transparency, I classify a single drink every couple months as “not being an alcohol drinker” and I see nothing wrong with this. LAUNCHING THE INVESTIGATION INTO WHITE FLOUR Perplexed by how quickly I fell off the rails and was overtaken by old habits, I couldn’t help but want to learn more about my whole experience, so I began looking deeper into white flour. The very first thing I discovered was that my weight loss and positive changes, especially to sleeping patterns, were nothing special, in fact, it’s the norm if you cut white flour from your diet. Parasites in the Covid Vaccines – Confirmed You’ll be shocked to find what they put in each different injection. In a recent video Dr Ardis discusses the results of a lab analysis he had done on the various vaccine brands, and what they found inside. The lab in Ohio, USA tested brand new, unopened vials of Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer branded covid vaccines. Parasites in the Covid Vaccines Each of the vials contained one, or several, different types of parasites. Below we will go into detail about what they found inside and what you can do to kill off that specific type of parasite if you were coerced into taking the shot. You can watch the video below – but be warned – it is quite graphic with lots of parasite imagery and photos of what has been coming out of people in the toilet. The whole video contains a lot of really good information, but the part specific to the parasitic contamination of the vaccines starts at 19:25 minutes in. Moderna The Moderna vaccine has been shown to contain a genetically engineered version of a pathogen that is a protozoa parasite. The results showed it contains both trichomoniasis and mycoplasma. In the above video Dr. Ardis does not mention which type of mycoplasma but trichomoniasis – often just called “Trich” – usually hosts Mycoplasma hominis. These parasites are easily spread during sexual encounters and also affect the bladder and urinary tract. They can cause UTIs, itching, pelvic pain, foul odor, and discharge from the genitals in both men and women. That said, a large percentage of people who are infected with these types of parasites have no symptoms at all and don’t know they are carrying or spreading it. Parasites in the Covid Vaccines Johnson & Johnson The Johnson & Johnson vaccine was found to contain a genetically engineered hepatic fluke parasite, along with a weaponized version of the ureaplasma bacteria, a type of mycoplasma. Hepatic flukes are parasitic flatworms that primarily infect the liver, gallbladder, and bile ducts. The infection, known as fascioliasis, can lead to symptoms such as abdominal pain, fever, nausea, and jaundice. In severe cases, it can cause significant liver damage and bile duct obstruction. The presence of ureaplasma in the vaccine is equally concerning. Ureaplasma is a type of mycoplasma that can cause a range of infections, particularly in the urogenital tract. It is associated with conditions such as urethritis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and complications during pregnancy. These bacteria are notorious for being difficult to detect and treat, often leading to chronic infections if left unchecked. Parasites in the Covid Vaccines Pfizer The Pfizer vaccine was reported to contain both a weaponized version of the hepatic fluke parasite and mycoplasma gallisepticum. Like the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the presence of the hepatic fluke parasite poses a significant risk to liver health. Fascioliasis, the condition caused by these parasites, can lead to serious complications if not treated promptly. The symptoms might not appear immediately, and some people may unknowingly carry the parasite for years, leading to gradual liver damage over time. Mycoplasma gallisepticum is a pathogenic bacterium known to primarily affect birds, but it can also cause respiratory infections in humans. In severe cases, it can lead to chronic respiratory issues, including bronchitis and pneumonia. The presence of this pathogen in a vaccine introduces a risk of respiratory complications that could be particularly dangerous for individuals with preexisting conditions or weakened immune systems. Parasites in the Covid Vaccines Tinidazole and Metronidazole Kills Protozoa Parasites What You Can Do if You Have Been Infected Taking a course of anti-parasitic medication is an option for those who have injected themselves with these parasites, or may have been exposed to them through close encounters with other people. In both versions, the antagonist, Kurtz, has gone mad, exceeding the purported savagery of the savages and becoming a threat to the thin veneer of lies and hypocrisy that protect the illusion of Western civilizational superiority. Kurtz’s last words in the novel, “exterminate all the brutes!” become in the film “drop the bomb! Exterminate them all!” Today, a real-life analogue of Kurtz, Bezalel Smotrich, has been calling for the murder of all Gazans by forced mass starvation while his fellow government minister, Eliyahu, prefers nuclear weapons. Notice that the wording of the Balfour Declaration does not even mention the indigenous peoples of Palestine by name, only referring to them as “non-Jewish communities in Palestine”. It further does not mention their general “rights and political status” as a people as it does for the Jews, but only refers to some narrower “civil and religious rights” as “non-Jewish communities”. While on first glance these phrases might appear equivalent to the layman, on careful examination with the eyes of a shrewd lawyer, the local “non-Jewish communities” are not accorded the same general unspecified “rights and political status”, as are the transplanted Jewish people in the land of another granted to the Jews. While bearing only a few short imperial proclamations, the Balfour Declaration is the most treacherously worded document of its kind in the history of colonization. Observe the magic of its linguistics, wherein, the Palestinian peoples are not referred to as a “people”, but only as “non-Jewish communities”. Whereas, the same document refers to the Jews as “the Jewish people”. The simple, largely agrarian, indigenous Palestinian population, uninformed of the vagaries of deceit and the Machiavellian use of legalisms and linguistics, from day one were deprived of political status by the very wording of the Balfour Declaration. The British empire making the surprising land grant to the Jews whom they professed no inordinate love for throughout their history, only villainous hatred, suddenly didn’t even recognize the indigenous peoples of Palestine continuously living for thousands of years in their own ancestral lands as one people. While the Jews in Diaspora, hailing from almost every country and culture on earth, but primarily the Ashkenazi from Europe, are acknowledged as one people, “the Jewish People”. Thus, the Machiavellian logic was to naturally follow, that how can a non-existent people have the general “rights and political status” which “the Jewish People” enjoy as a people regardless of where they live? Netanyahu and Human Sacrifices in Occupied Palestine and America What Should Be the Fate of the Genocider-in-Chief? Anthony James Hall The drama unfolding in Gaza, the West Bank, and more generally in West Asia is announcing a new phase in the fall of Western Civilization as we have known it. At the core of the drama is a very public ceremony of human sacrifice in the joint US-Israeli ritual to depopulate Gaza and rid the West Bank of its native Palestinians. The conflict is widening geographically, religiously, and ideologically. US universities are becoming major sites of the intensifying turmoil. These places are meant to be devoted to higher learning, open debate and critical thinking. But those ideals are fast giving way to assaults on very promising surges of free expression. Attempts are underway to wrestle to the ground the outbursts of liberated articulation. The quest to silence free speech is being done in the name of quelling so-called anti-Semitism. The ironies are great when the real victims of anti-Semitism are the Semitic Arab Palestinians being injured and eliminated in the ruthless onslaughts driving the campus disruptions. The resulting divide is putting influential Jewish people on both sides of the red lines cutting straight through the complex apparatus of higher education. While faculty members are becoming increasingly involved, the centre of gravity in the protests so far are the mobilizing networks of students that are aligning themselves against the many-faceted genocide underway in Gaza for half a year. The Genocider-In-Chief, Benjamin Netanyahu, seems intent on throwing gasoline on the campus turmoil in the cause of sparking full-fledged civil war. Its amazing to behold the severity of the scolding rhetoric coming from this man who has made himself the champion of the most obscene case of mass murder in the twenty-first century. The leader of the barbaric massacre of Palestinian refugees in Gaza, claims that anyone who empathizes with the plight of Netanyahu’s victims is “intent on killing Jews where ever they are.” Netanyahu’s has become so set in his ways of presenting the Gazan genocide as a noble crusade, that he seems intent on widening his blood lust for human sacrifice to include some of the most committed and principled of American’s rising generation of university students. Like the reprehensible web site, Canary mission, Netanyahu’s goal seems to be to destroy the life chances of young people by assigning them to blacklists meant to deny them career opportunities. Is Netanyahu also aiming to set in motion the creation of concentration camps or worse for those who refuse to fall in line with the bigotry driving his genocidal schemes of ethnic elimination? Netanyahu’s ruthless war against the most free-thinking flower of youth is aimed at sabotaging higher education by enlisting its top administrators into a campaign to eviscerate academic freedom. Without free and open debate, serious universities cannot rise to a high standard beyond the level of indoctrination, enforced sloganeering, and institutionalized cronyism. The sacrifice of human potential for partisan advantage cannot end well. Human sacrifice is taking many forms. Netanyahu stands at the head of a genocidal project that is embraced and advanced by many Jewish Israelis in the Armed Forces, the Knesset, the media, and the population at large. The backing also encompasses the cultish clique of puppet governors made to appear as if they are in charge of what are, in fact, hollowed-out hulks of the former Western Democracies. Genocider-In-Chief There can be no doubt, however, that Benjamin Netanyahu deserves the title Genocider-In-Chief. I can think of no other figure, not even during WWII, who has pushed ahead the many-faceted genocidal elimination of a people so zealously, so publicly, and so self-righteously. In spite of all the demonstrations calling for his resignation, it has become clear that most Jewish Israelis have few qualms about going along with what many people throughout the world see as the Netanyahu government’s obvious violations of the Genocide Convention. The genocidal project currently underway has become a primal national project of the Jewish polity. For now, the mass murder is aimed at the Palestinian inhabitants of Gaza and the West Bank. But who can doubt that other Palestinians who are citizens of Israel proper, will be the next targets of ethnic elimination, a concept that has grabbed the fancy of Jewish public opinion in Israel. By Israel proper, I mean the part of Israel outlined for a Jewish state by the United Nations’ Resolution 181, not the portion of Palestine set aside by the UN in 1947 for a new Arab state. The Arab state was to include Gaza and the West Bank which were illegally seized through Israeli military conquest in 1967. About 20% of the citizens in Israel proper, are Palestinian. The present legal status of the Israeli citizens who are ethnic Palestinians has been made to seem increasingly fragile and problematic especially over the course of recent months. It is well know that Netanyahu has been caught in the grips of legal woes stemming from the kind of petty corruption that the Israeli judiciary can handle even as its members consistently disregard the international laws violated in ways that are woven into Israel’s constitutional fabric. One would think that Netanyahu’s domestic legal problems would be small compared to those created by the Israeli politician’s leading role in the most high-profile case of genocidal mass murder committed in the twenty-first century. But no. That is not the case. The intervention of the International Court of Justice in the Gaza debacle has yet to put any visible checks at all on Netanyahu’s massacre that seems targeted especially at women and children. In fact after the World Court’s ruling, the pace and scope of the US-Israel genocide seemed to grow. The conflict unfolding in Gaza is not a war, a word that should be reserved for the type of conflict involving clashes of the armed forces of two or more national governments. The invasion of Gaza by the Israeli Armed Forces, an invasion backed up by the full military might of the United States, is a massacre pointed at people who for three generations have been classified in international law as stateless refugees even as they continue to reside in their own native lands. Netanyahu claims the “war” is to “eradicate Hamas.” Hamas is the organization whose fighters on October 7, 2023, broke out of the walled Gaza prison to apprehend in disputed circumstances the Israeli captives presently described in the media as “hostages.” As we shall see, Hamas is largely a legal and political creation of the Israel government. Nevertheless, Hamas continues to command much loyalty from its Gazan constituents. Who else do the Gazans have to help them in the here and now amidst the genocidal circumstances engulfing them? The Apparatus of International Law is More Theatrical Than Substantial Even with the limited weaponry at their disposal, the Hamas fighters have been able to mount a resolute self-defence of their own stateless people. The incarcerated condition of the two million Palestinians in Gaza stands as a telling embodiment of the inconsistencies that reside at the core of the system of international law put in place by World War II’s victors. While this system may look on the surface as reasonable and viable, it is not what it seems. The juridical element of the international system is more theatrical than substantial in reality. The International Criminal Court is a telling example of the base biases, prejudices and corruption that prevail in some institutional components of international law. The ICC’s Chief Prosecutor, Karim Kahn, has been more or less inert in the face of the elaborate crime spree that is integral to the Gazan Genocide. On the other hand, Kahn was quick to charge Vladimir Putin with several trumped-up charges for war crimes in the Ukrainian debacle. This system was purposely set up after WWII to create the fiction that the world is to be run on the basis of due process rooted in the rule of law. One of the weak points in this system is the lack of a coherent mechanism for enforcing international criminal law, including the Genocide Convention. This absence of a reliable means for enforcing international law is not inadvertent. It was purposely built into the system as a means of protecting the powerful from being held accountable and punished for their crimes. The theatricality of the international system is meant to disguise the reality that enormous latitude has been afforded to the inheritors of wealth and power, both private and institutional, to further expand their fortunes and influence. A primary illustration of the problem lies in the impunity from being charged and punished for violations of international criminal law enjoyed by those in the upper branches of the US and Israeli governments. By his actions Netanyahu seems to be indicating that, for him, the domestic corruption convictions he is under are more menacing than the early stages of the charges for the international crime of genocide being pressed against the country he leads. Apparently Netanyahu and the Israeli people around him— even those who regularly declare their hatred of him— have plenty of experience to reassure themselves that they are above the law. They seem to be assuming they will therefore continue to enjoy impunity from the enactments and punishments of international law, including the UN’s Genocide Convention. Are the assumptions of Netanyahu and those around him correct? What signs are there that anything has changed to replace the theatrics of international law with some actual implementation and enforcement of fundamental legal principles. When it comes to enforcing accountability for the highest levels of blatant criminality, these fundamental principles seem to apply primarily to culprits in defeated, poor and marginalized countries. Will victors’ justice continue to prevail? Those on the winning side of conflicts are almost never brought to justice for the international crimes they committed on the way to victory. Netanyahu continues to face little opposition willing to push against the fiction that he is engaged in a “war” to “eradicate Hamas,” a polity that he played a big role in helping to shape, guide and elevate. Netanyahu continues to exploit the fiction that he is conducting a war against, rather than a massacre of, mostly unarmed, incarcerated stateless refugees, people that the Israeli government has occupied and oppressed for three generations. Netanyahu continues to stand by his misrepresentation even as he accelerates the campaign to eliminate the surviving Palestinians now cornered in the southern district of the Gaza Strip in and around Rafah. The Engineering of Outrage to Launch the Campaign to Implement the Final Solution to the Palestinian Question The overarching trajectory of the genocidal violation contains many crimes within crimes. Some of these crimes are rooted in the fact that the Gazan Genocide is providing a laboratory of life and death for experiments on human subjects. Officials in neighbouring Egypt knew what to expect and signalled the intelligence to national security specialists in and around Netanyahu’s Office. Apparently Netanyahu refused to take Egyptian President, Abdel El-Sisi’s, telephone call on the subject. Netanyahu and his Likud predecessors, including Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Shamir, and Ariel Sharon, cooperated very closely with Hamas to achieve several objectives including the paramount goal of keeping the Palestinians divided into separate organizations. One of their motivations in building up Hamas, a sunni Muslim organization rooted in the Muslim Brotherhood, was to avoid any repeat of the rise of Yasser Arafat and his highly successful secular approach to building up support for the PLO, the Palestinian Liberation Organization. The weight of evidence points to the distinct possibility that Netanyahu helped arrange the easy breakout out of Hamas from Gaza through the enclosure’s extremely high-tech Wall. Netanyahu was then instrumental in preventing the IDF from responding immediately in order to allow sufficient time for atrocities to take place in front of reporters and photographers. As it now stands, many perpetrators of genocide in Gaza have a sense that they continue to be immune from charges, trials, and punishments for committing the highest level of international crimes on the books. At the frequently-held Zionist galas for schmoozing, networking, fund raising, award presentations and all manner of self-congratulations, the genocidaires of Gaza might as well be taking bows for the massacre of their captives in Gaza. Human Sacrifice Among Aztecs and in the Settler Colonialism of the Americas and Israel The US-Israeli role in implementing the current climactic phase of the Gazan Genocide must be considered in a variety of historical contexts including the event memorialized as the holocaust. The time has passed when anything to do with this subject can simply be taken on faith without discussion and open debate. No longer do the Zionist proponents of the Genocidal State of Israel get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to demanding the acceptance of their preferred interpretations of history. By politicizing the divine directive in the Torah to massacre the Amalekites, Netanyahu is effectively drawing on the blood lust of the vengeful Yahweh in what Simplicius describes as the current “Eschatological Frenzy.” Back in late October he explained, “The eschatological fervor of the Palestine crisis is reaching a deafening peak. Officials worldwide are dropping their masks, and inadvertently revealing the Biblical strain of the conflict. At every turn, political figures now soak their proclamations in Biblical reference and allegory. The foremost of which was Netanyahu, who has now invoked an assortment of Biblical prophecies as dogwhistles to stir his people into an eschatological frenzy. Here he not only invokes the prophecy of Isaiah, but frames the conflict as that of “light” versus “darkness” and good versus evil, painting the Palestinians as the Children of Darkness to be vanquished by the Chosen Ones. The new form of human sacrifice in the killing fields of Gaza is probably more brutal than any similar ritual performed amidst, say, the pyramid structures of the Aztecs as observed by the conquistadors surrounding their leader, Hernán Cortés. This Aztec ritual was frequently highlighted by those seeking to justify the overturning of the Old World of Indigenous peoples in the Western Hemisphere. Popular lore concerning the Aztecs’ blood sacrifice of humans was used frequently to give justification for the conquest and elimination of indigenous societies regardless of the civilizational achievements in Central America of the Aztec, Mayan and Incan peoples. Strategically drawn upon was the real or the imagined efforts of some Indigenous peoples to appease the gods through human sacrifices. The aim was rationalize the imperative to create a New World where Native peoples throughout the Americas were subjected to round after round of genocidal elimination and repression. This pattern, exported especially from the western-moving frontier of the United States to the Israeli frontier of Palestine, has helped create the historical context for the treatment of the Native peoples in Gaza and the West Bank. One of the main paradigms used to explain this process of expansion was the imperial resort to the paradigm of the ascent from savagery to civilization as pictured through the lens of social Darwinism The anti-imperial characterization of the same process is to characterize it as series of manifestations of “settler colonialism” now on clear global display in Gaza and the West Bank. In the current genocide, the warriors of Jewish Israel seem to be competing with the Spanish conquistadors for pre-eminence in ruthlessness. At the same time, the agents of the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza and the West Bank are engaged in rituals of human sacrifice far more vicious than that of the Aztecs. As far as I know the Aztecs did not engage in human sacrifice through forced starvation. Our Descent from Civilization into Barbarism and Savagery The human sacrifices to Yahweh, the God of Greater Israel, are being sent to their death with the intervention of cutting edge Artificial Intelligence whose murderous aroma smells nothing like Lavender. In the twenty-first century, the fast-changing technologies of our times are more and more coming to rule the conditions of both our lives and our deaths. The twenty-first century began with a Global War effectively of Terror that continues to engulf us in the culture of militarism as the dominant driving force influencing every aspect of our descent from civilization into barbarism and savagery. The life-and-death character of changing technologies, mostly all harnessed in the first applications to militarism, is leaping into prominence as the Gazan Genocide gives rise to warring confrontations. These confrontations mostly emanated from longstanding antagonism since 1979 between Iran and Israel. This process of warring interactions kicked into high gear on April 1 when the government of Israel disregarded diplomatic law and protocol stretching back into classical times. Israel bombed the Iranian Embassy in Damascus killing 16 people, including several high-ranking officials in the Iranian Armed Forces and in Hezbollah. Several civilians were also killed. In response, Iranian officials explained that the Israeli attack would have to involve a retaliation. It would have to take the form of some sort of attack directly from Iranian territory on Israeli territory. While Israel has attacked Iran repeatedly within Iran, the reverse of this process had until mid-April of 2024 never occurred. The Iranian attack on Israel came on the night of April 13-14. Many parties were given ample prior warning so that they could prepare for some sort of missile attack. The attack was mounted with the goal of avoiding, if possible, deaths and property damage. That objective was met. The attack has been viewed from a variety of perspectives. I find most credible the accounts describing three hundred or so drones and cruise missiles used as decoys meant to lure attention away from the primary weapons of attack. The Israeli Air Force and elements of the air forces of the USA, the UK, France, and Jordan shot down the vast majority of drones and cruise missiles. Seven of the ballistic missiles have been pictured hitting their targets on the runway of the Nevatim Air Base in the Negev desert. Scott Ritter is one of those who indicates that this penetration of what he calls “the most protected air space in the world” has already transformed key facets of global geopolitics. Ritter has described this interpretation, which is probably not the last word in the subject, to British MP and journalist, George Galloway. On April 19 Israel attempted a retaliation to hit targets in the Islamic Republic of Iran. In the lead up to the attack many questions were asked about the possible role of the Biden government in pressing the Netanyahu government to hold back from hitting Iran hard. The quid pro quo, some imagined, would be to give Netanyahu the green light for a major military operation to “eradicate Hamas” in Rafah. It seems that although the US apparently holds the upper hand in terms of supplying the weaponry for the Gazan Genocide, Netanyahu nevertheless dominates in the sometimes mysterious inner dynamics of the deeply integrated Israel-US relationship. On April 19 an Israeli attack was reported as something of a non-event where Israeli drone-like projectiles were downed by the Iranian armed forces on the way to their targets in the Isfahan area. The governments of both Israel and Iran decided to not comment in any detail on the event. Then on April 20 came a very brief report from journalist Pepe Escobar presenting a dramatically different version of the events of the prior day. The statement immediately became the subject of intense disagreement and conjecture. Scott Ritter is one of those to condemn Escobar’s statement as containing an impossible juxtaposition of events. The reference to EMP that Escobar refers to, stands for Electro Magnetic Pulse. A nuclear-driven surge of EMP, it was claimed, could fry and disable Iran’s entire electrical system. Pepe Escobar In a statement that was widely reproduced, Escobar reported, In an effort to explain himself, Escobar engaged in a discussion with Larry Johnson and Ania K. Even before the Iranian demonstration attack on Israel on the night of April 13-14, key figures in the government of Israel have been distraught about the implications for Zionism of the rising importance of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This rise has accelerated in recent years as Iran’s alliances with Russia, China, the other countries of BRICS as well as of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization continue to coalesce. Given this background, I can picture how the government of Israel might have pictured the prospect of a retaliation for Iran’s retaliation for the original bombing of the Iranian Embassy in Damascus. I can picture Netanyahu and the extremists around him thinking about the possibility of crippling Iran with a nuclear strike to generate a EMP surge in order to fry Iran’s electric grid. Speculation, however, is futile at this point. Few of us are in any position to come to any firm conclusions about what did or didn’t happen on the night of April 19 in the skies over Jordan. Just thinking about such an attack, however, points to the kind of human sacrifices being eliminated and being contemplated in the strange and dangerous times through which we are living. ‘An entirely preventable disaster’: Health officials warn of catastrophic polio epidemic in Gaza Tareq S. In some areas of the strip, children can be found rummaging through the piles of trash in search of food or scraps that their family can use. Due to Israel’s targeting and destruction of Gaza’s water and sewage networks, millions of Palestinians in the crowded Strip have nowhere to dispose of waste other than the street. And with the total collapse of municipal and sanitation services, there is no one to collect the waste. The sanitation workers who try to reach the dumps near the border to dispose of waste are targeted by the Israeli military. The families who live in tents near the piles of garbage and waste have to worry about more than just the putrid smells of hot, rotting garbage. Many, particularly children, have become afflicted with various rashes and unexplained skin conditions. Advertisement Watch In Bad Faith, a new satirical video from Mondoweiss and Mohammed El-Kurd. For months the Gaza Ministry of Health and other international public health agencies have warned of the spread of diseases due to the lack of clean water and untreated sewage in the streets. In mid-July, in cooperation with the World Health Organization, the Gaza health ministry conducted an analysis of samples of sewage water in the Gaza Strip, and found the presence of poliomyelitis, or as it is more commonly known, the polio virus. The highly infectious disease, which in severe cases can cause paralysis or death, was eradicated in Gaza more than 25 years ago. The detection of the virus in July caused the health ministry and the WHO to set off the alarm bells. The ministry declared a ‘polio epidemic’ in the Gaza Strip, and the WHO called for immediate intervention to prevent the spread of the disease. Though the Gaza health ministry has not yet announced any cases of polio in the population, doctors and health officials in Gaza say action must be taken before it’s too late. Dr. Jamal al-Homs, Director of the Kuwait Specialized Hospital in Rafah, says that there has been a significant and noticeable increase in various epidemic diseases that are now spreading rapidly throughout the Gaza Strip. “Today, the polio virus has returned due to the lack of a proper sewage system, the lack of clean and potable water, and the lack of the possibility of general hygiene due to the accumulation of garbage and the inability of citizens to maintain general hygiene,” he told Mondoweiss.. Al-Homs stressed that if the polio disease spreads in Gaza, there will be no way to stop it under the current conditions. In theory, polio, which affects the spinal cord and brainstem causing paralysis and difficulty breathing, “would find a suitable and hospitable environment to spread in the crowded tent camps,” al-Farra said. “If one of the individuals is infected, the spread of the disease will be swift due to the severe crowding and sharing of public toilets among the displaced,” he said. “The solutions lie in personal hygiene and the use of soap, alcohol, and sterilizers,” al-Farra said. “But the Israeli occupation prevents the entry of these materials, and the fuel that is needed to operate the sewage treatment facilities.” “The samples [collected by the MOH] showed polio type 2, which must be prevented by intramuscular vaccination,” he continued. And while limited polio vaccines are available for newborns in some parts of Gaza, al-Farra said that the necessary vaccines to treat polio type 2 aren’t available due to the lack of electricity, which prevents hospitals and health facilities from storing the vaccine at the correct temperature. “The health situation in the Gaza Strip is catastrophic,” al-Farra said. ‘We all have diseases that we don’t know about’ Next to mountains of garbage in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis, Mustafa Abu Luli, 53, sits underneath a tarp with his family. The family of five were displaced from Rafah to Khan Younis, and have been living in a tent for months. Every single member of the family suffers from some kind of skin disease or rash. “We all have diseases that we do not know about and cannot find treatment for,” Al-Luli told Mondoweiss, holding up his sons one by one, revealing their bare bellies and backs, covered with bumps and rashes. “Our women have also been infected with hepatitis before, and are still suffering from the effects of the disease.” As he spoke, Abu Luli pointed to the piles of garbage amassed next to the family’s tent. “This is the source of the diseases we are suffering from. We all have serious diseases and cannot find treatment. We tried and failed. All these diseases are due to the lack of water and cleanliness. But there is nothing we can do. We have nothing,” he said. Next to Abu Luli’s tent, children walk on the mountains of garbage and dig for scraps. Anything could be useful: something that can be used to light a fire so their family can cook food; or maybe some scraps of food if they are desperate. (Photo: APA Images) According to residents, they are surrounded by flies and other bugs, as well as wild dogs that come into the camps in search of food or drink. “All the causes of death are available to us in the Gaza Strip. The piles of garbage are a disease, the lack of water is a disease, the tent is a disease, everything here causes diseases,” Abu Luli lamented. “The heat and the sun are diseases, the mosquitoes and flies are a disease, the dogs that attack our tents at night are a disease. Not to mention the bombing and destruction.” “We are terrified of the spread of polio, especially since we are close to the sewage where they discovered the disease. Our children go there when they pass from one place to another or from one street to another. They can’t avoid it, because the sewage is spread everywhere” Abu Luli said. “If this disease spreads, we will die without anyone looking at us. If it infects someone in my family, they will die because we will not find a cure.” According to doctors and public health experts, a host of preventable diseases and infections are already running rampant in Gaza, and with a barely-functioning health system, most people, like Abu Luli’s family, can’t get basic treatment. “We notice many serious skin diseases coming to us from the displaced families, and there is no treatment for them,” Dr. al-Homs told Mondoweiss. “Due to the problematic health conditions and catastrophic living conditions in light of the lack of treatments and the closure of crossings, it is expected that these diseases and the number of those infected with them will increase and thus represent a significant threat to citizens,” he said. “The World Health Organization has reported tens of thousands of cases of lice and scabies,” Dr. Yara M. Asi, a Palestinian public health expert and the co-director of the Palestine Program for Health and Human Rights, told Mondoweiss. “Thousands of cases of rashes that have spread very easily among children that are clustered together. Over half of the population has reported respiratory infections. There are very high reports of acute diarrhea, which for children under five can be quite lethal. There are tens of thousands of cases of jaundice,” she continued. “These are easily treatable conditions. The tragic tragic part of this is that, by themselves, none of these need to lead to a health emergency. And yet the conditions that Israel has created and enabled will cause significant unnecessary suffering, disability, and death for people,,” Asi said. “Largely because there is no capacity for people to receive care from advanced traumatic injuries like amputations, let alone something as basic as lice.” Immediate intervention needed to prevent disaster Following the news that the poliovirus was detected in the sewage water in Gaza, Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said that the organization would send more than a million doses of the polio vaccine to Gaza and distribute them over the coming weeks to prevent children from being infected. Ghebreyesus stated in an opinion piece in the British newspaper The Guardian, “Although no polio has been recorded so far, without immediate action, it will only be a matter of time before thousands of children become infected and become unprotected.” Ghebreyesus wrote that children under the age of five are most at risk of contracting this virus, especially infants under the age of two, due to the disruption of regular vaccination campaigns as a result of the conflict that has been ongoing for nine months. “Polio is almost entirely preventable with vaccinations. That’s part of what’s so devastating about this,” Asi told Mondoweiss. “This is completely predictable, completely avoidable.” According to Asi, prior to October 7th, Palestinian vaccination rates for polio across the occupied territories, including the Gaza Strip, was about 99%. Since October 7th, with the decimation of the healthcare system, and the birth of thousands of babies who have been unvaccinated, that number has plummeted to about 86%. “This is incredibly low. We have thousands of children missing all sorts of routine vaccinations,” she said. And while no cases of polio have been reported yet in Gaza, Asi warned that doesn’t necessarily mean no cases exist. “There has been a communication blackout in many parts of Gaza. Many families are completely displaced. They’re not exactly in contact with health authorities. Many hospitals and health clinics are shut down, destroyed, and nonfunctional. So it’s not impossible that there are cases that simply haven’t been reported yet,” she said. “The ramifications of a potential, or at this point, probable polio outbreak in Gaza are multifaceted,” Asi continued. “You have thousands, tens of thousands of babies that have been born since October 7th. We’re already seeing a very high infant mortality rate because of lack of care. These children, many of them are not getting vaccinated. If they contract certain types of polio, they will be paralyzed for life. (Photo: APA Images) Emphasizing the need for a mass vaccination campaign, and for Israel to allow shipments of aid and medicine into Gaza, Asi pointed to the fact that the Israeli military had begun a campaign to offer polio booster vaccines to its soldiers following the news that the virus was detected in Gaza. “The IDF recognizes that this is a problem… they don’t want [their soldiers] to return to Israel and spread polio there,” Asi said. “…And they’re taking care to make sure that their aquifers are protected because a polio outbreak they know is devastating to a population.” “Viruses, as we learned during COVID-19, do not respect borders. So if polio were to spread through people exiting, humanitarian workers or others leaving the territory, it could be carried into Egypt and spread into the rest of the region,” she said. “It’s frankly very terrifying. And that’s why I think the World Health Organization has really sounded the alarm, because it is naive to assume that this will, A, not escalate within Gaza, and B, has no potential to escalate elsewhere.” Highlighting the WHO’s calls for an immediate ceasefire, Asi said that a cessation of hostilities to allow the entry of vaccines and permit health officials to distribute them to the population is the first, and most basic step to address the public health disaster in Gaza. “The problem is we are past the point where a ceasefire alone is going to end suffering for people,” she said. “We will see the ramifications of this for months, years, possibly generations. The spread of disease is not going to stop the day of a ceasefire.
