• INDEED, FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE FROM THE WOMB!

    USING OUR TONGUES WISELY{JAS.3:1-12,2SAM.6:20-23,PRO.15:1}

    1. By a soft answer wrath is turned away, but a bitter word is a cause of angry feelings.
    2. Knowledge is dropping from the tongue of the wise; but from the mouth of the foolish comes a stream of foolish words. (Pro 15: 1-2)

It's good to get our children to understand that filthy language, evil speaking, jesting and foolish talking are not for God's Children. Thus, we must be very mindful of every word that comes out of our mouths, because we shall be judged by our words. *WORDS ONCE SPOKEN, CANNOT BE TAKEN BACK!*

You see, the tongue (though very small),is a very powerful organ in our body. With the tongue, we can start and end a fight. Most of the troubles we have today is because, the tongue was wrongly used. God didn't give us the tongue to mock, curse, abuse or engage in filthy conversations.
When we use our tongue to tell lies or gossip about a person, we are equal to murderers.

People can easily tell the kind of persons we are by what they hear from us. We shouldn't use the same tongue that we use to pray and praise God to curse, lie or say something evil.

In our text,(Jas.3:1-12), James describes the power of the tongue showing that, there's the power of life and death in it, and so must be very intentionally careful about what comes out from it. In 2Sam.6:20-23,Michal, King David's wife was punished by God with childlessness, because she used her tongue to mock and make jest of her husband who danced joyfully and wholeheartedly for the Lord, to express his profound gratefulness that the Ark of God has finally come back home to Jerusalem. SHE BECAME THE ONLY BARREN WOMAN RECORDED IN THE BIBLE...yes, it's as serious as that.

This indeed shows us how how concerned God is, with what we say. So many people have received CONDEMNATION as a result of what they say, while some others have received COMMENDATION! Let our words, henceforth be seasoned with salt that they may minister grace to our listeners. Amen!

Stop being a part of those that mock, jest, abuse, curse or engage in filthy language. Speak only what is pure, just, lovely and that which is of a good report. (Php.4:8)

The key theme here is that, as a child of God, you should only speak words that give Glory to God.
May God grant us the ability and grace to only speak edifying words in Christ Jesus' Name Amen !

  • Keeping your mental health in good shape is all about small, consistent habits that support your emotional, psychological, and social well-being. Here are some core ways to do that:
    Mental Health Basics

Sleep well – Aim for 7–9 hours of quality sleep each night.

Eat nourishing food – Your brain needs good fuel, too: whole foods, plenty of water, and less sugar/junk.

Move your body – Exercise reduces stress, boosts mood, and sharpens focus.

Stay connected – Talk to friends or family regularly, even just to check in.

Limit screen time & social media – It helps more than most people realize.

Take breaks – Rest your mind, especially when overwhelmed.

Practice mindfulness or meditation – Even 5 minutes a day can make a difference.

Seek help when you need it – Therapists, counselors, or support groups are there for a reason.

    Simple Tools That Help

Journaling – Write down your thoughts to process them.

Gratitude lists – Name 3 things you're grateful for daily.

Breathing exercises – Calm your nervous system in minutes.

Set boundaries – Say no when you need to. Your peace matters.

  • In today’s fast-paced world, protecting your mental health is a form of self-defense. It’s okay to slow down, take a break, and focus on your inner peace.

Everyday Things That Drain Your Mind:

    Constant comparison on social media

    Saying “yes” to everything

    Ignoring your emotions

    Lack of rest or downtime

Tips for Mental Clarity & Balance:

Start your day without your phone

Write down what you’re grateful for

Learn to say “no” when needed

    Practice breathing exercises

Eat food that supports brain health (like nuts, fish, berries)

    Mental Health = Daily Maintenance:
Just like you brush your teeth or eat every day, your mental health also needs small, consistent care. One step a day keeps burnout away.

    Final Thought:
You’re allowed to rest. You’re allowed to feel. Your feelings are valid, and your mental health is worth protecting.
