Maine State Senator Eric Brakey Slams Continued Vaccine Mandate For Healthcare Workers In the Maine Senate on June 7: "I've heard a lot of different proposals in the legislature this year on ways to address the healthcare worker shortage. I'm open to all of those ideas, but it seems like if we're not dealing with the elephant in the middle of the room, which is this COVID-19 vaccine mandate, which is completely not supported by science. Then what are we doing here? We're pretending to try to fix the problem when there's something within our power right now. There are no more threats from the federal government against us mandating that we do this. There is no scientific basis for this. It just seems mean-spirited at this point.
