Saint George (Slava)

Whoever of you has Serbian friends has probably heard of this tradition.

Today is May 6, according to the Orthodox Christian calendar, Saint George is celebrated. Among Serbs, this day is particularly important because St. George is a very common patron saint and many families celebrate this day.
My family also celebrates this day "Slava Saint George".
It is mandatory to prepare a slava cake and wheat, slava candle. In the morning there is a prayer in the Church, and during the day guests are welcomed in the house at a festive, Slava meal.
